• Francis (8/5): Séjour très agréable quand on est reçu par Mathilde et que l’on connaît le mode d’emploi de l’accès. - L’emplacement à proximité du Château de Fontainebleau et des parcs, mais aussi du centre ville et de ses établissements et commerces. Au pieds de l’hôtel un parking souterrain. L’accès à l’hôtel est compliqué. Aucun arrêt pour descendre de voiture. Il faut savoir qu’il faut se rendre immédiatement au parking public et y garer sa voiture et se débrouiller avec ses bagages pour rejoindre par ses propres moyens la réception: pas de voiturier ni de bagagistes. Nous avons eu á l’arrivée et au départ, Matilde, la seule personne souriante et avenante de la réception.

• Onomade (10/5): Fontainebleau charm - The hotel is ideally situated in the very centre of Fontainebleau, the (side) entrance to the Chateau gardens is just across the road. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around, and the hotel’s breakfast selection is also quite good. Rooms are clean and comfy, with stylish decor, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. One thing that I found a bit disappointing was the “gym”, which is really a room with some mats and weights, but not much more. However, if you are going to Fontainebleau for an INSEAD programme - there is a fantastic gym on campus, and the 20mins walk/ 10mins jog from the hotel makes it a nice warm-up. The walk is beautiful and helps you see around town - it is a great hotel choice if you would like a mix of the campus proximity and the Fontainebleau charm.

• Sophie (9/5): Hôtel pour séjour de charme garanti. - Emplacement idéal face au château de Fontainebleau, personnel de la réception particulièrement attentif et agréable, chambre au charme désuet avec sa toile de Jouy (des chambres contemporaines existent aussi pour ceux qui les préfèrent). Réassort au petit-déjeuner lent et essentiellement sur demande.

We needed to change our room from the first floor, which is quite dark, which the staff did for us -- gave us a lovely room on the third floor. LOVED the open window, the LIGHT, super comfy queen bed, and the breakfast/brunch is fantastic -- best we have ever been offered! The dining room also has a small library, and the location is perfect. Staff is very cheerful and forthcoming about best restaurants, etc. 10% discount at WONDERFUL day spa, Le Spa Oïa, just half a block down. The spa manager, Catherine, is awesome; she is very kind and elegant, and speaks English. Parking was a bit crazy -- it's in a lot across the street, so you have to take luggage through the garage, up an elevator, and across the street into the hotel. They do validate parking, I think it was about $15 a day, not bad. The lot is VERY tight.

Situated directly across from the stunning Château de Fontainebleau, it’s hard to imagine a better spot for exploring the area. The hotel offers convenient public parking beneath the property, which is a big plus. The lobby has a chic, modern French feel, while the rooms strike a beautiful balance between updated amenities and classic, timeless décor. For European standards, the room size is quite good, and everything was impeccably clean. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. Service throughout the stay was exceptional—attentive and welcoming without being overbearing. There’s also a cozy bar area in the lobby, perfect for unwinding your day. In addition, they serve a buffet breakfast in the morning at an extra cost. With numerous restaurants just a short walk away, lunch and dining options are plentiful. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone planning to spend a night or two in Fontainebleau.

Veel te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt, verouderd hotel. Het was ook heel moeilijk voor het personeel om ons voldoende handdoeken te bezorgen. Duistere kamer, ongezellige ontbijtruimte, ontbijt werd niet tijdig aangevuld.

Abattant des toilettes cassé et non remplacé. Cela devait daté un peu. Problème de remonté d'égout le matin dans la salle de bain mais qui à été passager.

Suite à un problème de réservation ente Booking et l’établissement (erreur de la part de Booking ou de l’hôtel, la question n’est pas la), le ton employé par la personne à l’accueil n’était pas des plus agréables nous laissant suggérer que c’était le problème lorsque l’on souhaite payer moins cher et passer par Booking, manque de tact et aucune proposition de geste commercial malgré le fait qu’on soit déclassé (pour le même prix) passant d’une chambre de luxe à une chambre classique. Ce n’est pas un comportement approprié dans un hôtel de cet envergure, très clairement à revoir.

• Cécile (6/5): Très tiède - La situation géographique de l’hôtel est vraiment incroyable. Il est situé en plein centre-ville de Fontainebleau, près de tous les restaurants et petits commerces, et surtout juste en face de l’entrée du château de Fontainebleau. C’est vraiment un endroit idéal pour visiter le château, se balader en forêt, et ensuite aller dîner en ville dans les restaurants à proximité. Les espaces communs de l’hôtel sont assez agréables, notamment le hall d’entrée et le bar de l’hôtel, qui ont une décoration avec un design d’intérieur un peu esprit château, chasse et forêt, donc très sympa et cohérent avec le lieu. La salle de petit-déjeuner est très agréable également, bien décorée, avec des fenêtres partout et donc beaucoup de lumière. Le bâtiment en lui-même est vraiment très joli. Le petit déjeuner est très bon, les produits sont frais et de bonne qualité, mais pourrait être un peu plus à profusion, il faut parfois attendre que le réassort soit fait pour se servir. La propreté des lieux est impeccable. Globalement, je suis assez déçue de mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Lorsque je réserve un bel hôtel comme est censé l’être l’Aigle Noir, je dépense plus d’argent que pour un hôtel classique parce que je veux vivre une expérience. Et le moins qu’on puisse dire, c’est qu’il n’y avait rien d’expérientiel dans ce séjour. C’était également très décevant en termes de rapport qualité-prix. D’abord, la chambre était vraiment très décevante. Si la décoration et les meubles anciens sont en rapport avec la bâtisse et le lieu historique, la chambre était plutôt grande mais avec très peu de meubles, qui étaient en plus assez mal disposés. Cela donnait plutôt un espace vide et froid, dans lequel on voyait facilement les lés de papier peint abîmés avec le temps, les peintures effritées sur les plinthes et les portes un peu jaunies, ainsi que les abats jours troués. Cela faisait un effet très déceptif, même si ça devait être beau à une époque. Ensuite, au niveau de l’accueil, personne n’a été impoli et tout le monde a fait son travail correctement. Pourtant, personne n’a été accueillant. Je ne me suis jamais sentie vraiment la bienvenue dans l’hôtel, et c’est pourtant quelque chose que je recherche lorsque je vais dans un établissement comme un MGallery. Que ce soit à l'accueil, au bar ou au petit déjeuner, juste une réception basique et tiède. Quand je dis qu’il n’y a aucune expérience, c’est aussi parce qu’il n’y a rien de vraiment compris dans le prix. Le minibar de la chambre était vide, même pas quelques softs gratuits comme on en trouve parfois les hôtels Mercure. Aucune petite attention dans la chambre (un biscuit ou un chocolat). Pas de câble de charge à dispo dans la chambre, j'en ai emprunté un à l'accueil pour lequel on n'a pas oublié de me faire savoir qu'il serait en caution sur ma CB. Pas de resto, pas de piscine, pas de spa, pas de salle de coworking.
• danielsav (8/5): Beautiful stay - I stayed at this hotel for three nights on a business trip. It's historic, very unique, typically French, and located in a beautiful square, with a picturesque wooden carousel and lovely places for aperitifs or meals, just steps from the beautiful castle. The rooms are comfortable; mine had a very large bed and all the comforts. The breakfast is fantastic, catering to all tastes and offering international options. The staff is friendly. The only negative was the smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, but you can close two doors at night to block it out.

The Château de Fontainebleau is just across the road from the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to visit. It was also lovely to stroll through the town centre and browse the shops. The bed was too soft.

• guillermohoter (8/5): Best Place in town - The hotel is perfecty located just across the street from entrance to Fontainebleau palace. In the middle of town, restaurants are at walking distance. We had a suite consisting of generously sized spaces. Living room, bathroom and bedroom. Bed and sheets of good quality. WIFI works well. Breakfast is buffet style and very good. The hotel is very thinly staffed ( just 1 person ) at Reception. The bar is not always open. The room minibar is not well stocked. Staff was very kind and professional.

• Agence2Presse (7/5): - Petit déjeuner remarquable, tant par les produits que par la disponibilité. La personne chargée du buffet veillant à ce que jamais des produits ne manquent. Chambre sombre, une lampe de chevet pour deux, pas au niveau que l'on connait des autres MH Gallery qui sont censés être au top du Groupe Accord. Nous avons failli demandé une autre chambre. Etait-ce la chambre dédiée aux locations booking ? En tout cas, prix élevé pour une telle chambre.

• Farid (9/5): Een aanrader !! - Heel mooie locatie.. heel mooi ruime rustige kamer , het ontbijt was super !! Te kort om de mooie stad te bezoeken. Maar zeker de moeite in de zomer met de fiets .. komen zeker terug .. Niks op aan te merken

• eliane (9/5): - Très bon établissement, très bien situé en face du château, en plein centre ville et néanmoins très calme Le confort, le calme et l'amabilité du personnel
• Olivier (5/5): Bel hôtel mais pas à la hauteur de sa catégorie - l'emplacement, le petit déjeuner, le personnel. Merci au Night de nous avoir trouvé un solution à 1h du matin. Comment louer, dans un M Gallery, une chambre (la 101 en l'occurence) alors qu'il y a un moteur de climatisation qui se met en route toutes les 10 mn et qui rend le sommeil impossible. Je ne reviens pas, pour un M Gallery, sur la tapisserie qui se décolle et un bureau hors d'age. Bref l'hotel à besoin d'un sérieux rafraichissement pour être à la hauteur de ses ambitions.
