- jodiesW9544IS (2/5): You get what you pay for. - Offered 90 min hammam by 'the owner' to include 60min massage and 15 min exfoliation. 15 min massage plus 5 min exfoliation. Not given opportunity to put swimming costume on in a very seedy establishment. It really was too good to be true for 30 euros.
- 654dominikak (4/5): Terrible hamam/spa - This has been the worst turkish hamam I have been to (and I have been to many). The whole experience should be relaxing and ritualistic, but this has been neither. Instead of doing sauna, peeling, soap massage and oil massage (the right order, as they do literally everywhere else), they first sent us to oil massage, after that with masks on our face to sauna (which literally makes no sense to go to sauna covered in oil). They hurry us to sauna, but we could not leave sooner than we were told. After that, they have done soap & peeling all together which left our skin completely dry. Not to mention, that instead of doing me and my friends at the same time, one of us was just watching the other one, what was kind of weird (and I can imagine for many people absolutely unpleasant). Surprisingly no one asked us whether we liked this experience. Also, the place could have been cleaner.

Breakfast was ok, and they made home made bread etc. Plus for 24 h reception, good location (2 min from grand bazaar) and cheap massage and hammam in basement that was ok!

It is dirty and unsafe. Don't go or take care of you and your stuffs. Disgusting ! It will be better for you to change your job as you are a so bad manager with a so bad staff.
- Reiko565656333 (10/5): Fabulous Experience - My girlfriends and I were planning to go to Greece but the borders had just been closed. It was so meant to be that we traveled to Istanbul and discovered the Comfort Elite Hotel. We loved the staff! They truly made our stay comfortable and met our every need. Due to Covid 19, they weren't able to provide breakfast as they normally do so they accomodated for us a breakfast on the 7th floor terrace! The terrace has spectacular views and was the perfect spot for a girls breakfast. The location is ideal and the cost is phenominal. We would like to highlight Mehmet, Nusret, Can and Cesure for their attention to detail and excellent hospitality! Looking forward to staying at this property again in the future.

- Shams (8/5): - We stayed at Comfort Elite for three nights mid-October... The hotel is situated perfectly between Old Sultanahmet & new town. It is a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and about a 20 minutes walk downhill to the Blue Mosque. The tram stop is close to the hotel or you can easily find a taxi (you will need to haggle on the quote given). The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and is perfect for a short trip, the breakfast is basic, but good and enough to keep you going until lunch. I only have two gripes about the hotel, 1) the shower had no curtain or door & the bathroom would just get too wet... 2) the staff were polite, but no one smiled or went out of their way to talk to you and having been to Turkey many times I know that this is something that Turkish people, especially hotel staff are really good.
- AgniElla (2/5): Horrible "Hammam Bath" experience - My wife and me got an information, that we can do here a excellent 90 min. Hammam Bath, with the full program. We went inside, changed our clothes and startet in the basement with 15 min. Sauna. After this 15. min., nobody cared about us and nobody told us, what is the next step. We had to wait... Finally ater 20 min. waiting time, the "Spa Boss" called us and lead us upstairs again. Here we had to wait again 15 min. Before we got our 30 min. massage. The two massagestuff wasn't qualified and talked the whole time nonstop and beside, the TV with turkish program was running also. No comfort, no time for relaxing and no calm. It was one of the most horrible massage, what we ever had. And also it was just 20 min., instead of the promised 30 min. First cheating! After this massge, we had to go downstairs and should wait again. After the next 20 min. waiting, they try to divided us and sent me alone inside the Sauna again and my wife should wait continue outside. After a long time again, the final "Soapmassage" was just a 5 min. washing and going out. We explained this at the reception to the "Spa Boss", that we was finally more inside a waiting line, instead of inside the booked Spaprogram. The responsible person got angry and shouted in front of the lobby at us, because he didn't know, how to work with constructive criticism. Finally he called my wife "b**tch" in turkish language and disappeared. We understood it, because our turkish is well and he dind't knew it. After 30 min., we went back with two police men and we got all our money back, because he did a crime and all was recorded by the camera behind the reception.To all tourists in Istanbul and turkey. Don't let you cheat from turkish people! In the worse case, threatened with police and they do what you want!

- Turkkkk (2/5): DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE - Oh my god, I don't even know where to start. We went to the massage place downstairs, we did not stay at the hotel. Me and my husband,both muslims, where I'm wearing the hijab, got told by staff that it was family friendly and there would be NO MEN. We went inside, and there were men everywhere. It was totally rushed and I basically had to guess whether a man could come around the corner and see me (keep in mind that you're naked with only a small towel around you). The massage was awful and hurt alot, and the hamam only took a couple minutes. We waited like 40 minutes for the massage. They scam you to think its relaxing and that its only women/ safe for muslim couples; it's not.

The massage was awful, the woman spoke the whole time to her friend and basically gave an expensive head scratch. There was a bright light from the tv. This is the first bad review I have given for a place. Was looking forward to a massage and feel more agitated leaving than when I walked in. DO NOT GO HERE

The breakfast is also very good. The location is really strategic, the hotel is close to so many places we want to visit. My wife loves the five minutes walking distance to grand bazaar. I will recommend this hotel to all my friend that will visit Istanbul.
- Hma97 (4/5): Turkish bath - Although the staff were nice this was my first hamaam experience and it was not good. It felt rushed and slightly scary at times. They said it was womens only but there were men walking around which was extremely annoying and misleading as we were told otherwise. Overall was not a good experience and would not recommend, not comfortable or relaxing at all.

There was no shower door, so your shower water splashes throughout the bathroom quite badly.The next person needs to be ok with a wet bathroom floor. It had a filthy [unhygienic] toothbrush holder; it had mold growing inside it. The media remote controls had missing batteries so I had to supply my own. The linen was of a good quality and the single bed is comfy. However the room is quite tight and my luggage had to remain open on the floor as there is no-where else. Of course, it's fairly inexpensive hotel. The staff were it's saving grace. V polite and helpful. But I've stayed in similar places and found the attention to detail of maintenance better. 6/10

When we told the receptionist, he called us a liar and got angry and took it personally. they finally switched the room only for my friend. The room was full of mold and when I told them, they just glued wall paper over it.I had very bad experience there.

- filimonf129 (10/5): Great staff - I walked out of a supposedly better hotel and wandered into this place. So happy that I did. The rooms are on the smaller size but this did not matter as I wasn't in Istanbul to spend my time in my room. Everything was bright, airy and clean. Best of all was the service of the young team of workers starting with the Manager. These guys went above and beyond regarding any request.
- Monara (10/5): A sophisticated and beautiful hotel! - A beautiful sophisticated hotel. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful in particular the reception guy named 'Atta'. We ran into some trouble at the restaurant called 'Doce' near the Grand Bazar (stay away from this restaurant as they overcharge and if you do not pay up they will become violent and abusive, we experienced both). But the staff and especially Atta were absolutely amazing and sympathetic! He allowed me to use his facilities to email, make phone calls and ordered us food anytime! I gave him a gift before I left. The hotel is in a great location near Sultanahmet-blue mosque and grand bazar. An excellent hotel but more importantly amazing staff!

They offer me also breakfast without extra cost. The room was nice, clean and quite, with a small living room. It was next to the elevator, but I did not hear any sound. The hotel is very near to Grand Bazar, close to many restaurants and shops. Staff very friendly and helpfull, special Piker the reseptionist.

- Toubi007 (6/5): Average at most! - I am pretty surprised by the other reviews: My bathroom was tiny, I had to bend down to shower, breakfast is plain and boring and an omelette even costs extra. The day I was leaving, I went down to buy some staff and when I came back the cleaning ladies were already cleaning the room although I had not checked out yet. They just would go on for a few minutes without taking notice of me. The pillows were gigantic, I wonder who can sleep on those. It's not a bad place, but far far away from a good hotel. If you set the bar high, don't come here. For a night or two it's good enough.

- EMCEE001 (10/5): No scam / Service excellent / Value for money - After reading many reviews on hotels in Istanbul and how hotels deceive tourists in showing beautiful rooms and when you get there its completely different. I decided to choose this hotel based on the fact that it had more positive reviews. When i got there my reservation was ready and within 5 minutes i was in my room-EXCELLENT SERVICE. The room was as the pictures , comfortable, clean, specious with small seating area. Bathroom also was as shown on pictures and also clean, neat and not to old. Breakfast on the terrace on the roof was lovely. The entire hotel is clean and neat. Mr. Musa at the reception is most pleasant and helpfull. Location of hotel is very convenient near the grand bazaar and all public transport. WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN.

Their breakfast is simple but good being changed everyday. The room is clean, The AC is good but its broken from one side, Bathroom is clean. The thing is i have been here for 4 days and the electricity is turning off, it happened two times until now.

The room was tiny but well fitted and cosy. The bed was comfortable, good shower with plenty of hot water. Management was friendly and professional. They organized a taxi to the airport for us at a reasonable price (about 15 euros). Location is excellent, just a hundred meters from the entrance to the Grand Bazaar. Internet was reliable. Les abords sont incroyables, avec un batiment très joli. Les chambres sont décoré de manière sobre et très fonctionnelle. Nous n'avions besoin de rien... Le personnel est très aidant et répond avec plaisir à vos questions et vous transmet un plan comportant les lieux touristiques (ou pas) très bien réalisé. Le petit-déjeuner est à volonté et à prendre sur la terrasse avec vue sur la mer... rien de plus beau. Et enfin, que dire de la localisation? Vous êtes à 10 min à pieds des attractions du Vieil Istanbul mais si vous aimez marcher, vous pouvez aller à l'autre bout de la ville!! En bref, cet hotel mérite amplement son 5 voire plus !

- Niklas (8/5): Bra budgetval i Sultanahmet - Lite större rum än det jag hade året innan på ett annat hotell i samma område. Mycket bra för priset, drygt 300 kr per natt! Bra frukostbuffet i turkisk stil, som ingick i priset. Rent och fräscht och allt jag behövde fanns. Bra med ett litet kassaskåp där jag kunde lägga laptopen när jag var ute på stan. Fick inte TV:n att fungera, men det var nog mest för att jag egentligen inte behövde den och försökte inte så idogt.

- Dr Mahomed (10/5): Hotel with comfort in an Elite area - Comfort Elite Hotel is situated in an ideal position very close to the Grand Bazaar & a 5/10 min walk to Topkapi & Blue Mosque 2min walk to the tram . The hotel is clean ,comfortable but rooms very small ,very friendly staff can improve on the breakfast .I will surely definetly recommend the Comfort Elite ,many restaurants around & do have a meal at the Anatolya restaurant situated very close to the hotel
