- Isabell (1/5): Definitely not recommended - I have rarely experienced such disappointing behavior. Our stay had to be cancelled due to short-term Lufthansa strikes – a situation over which we had no influence whatsoever. The hotel was immediately informed, but no concessions were shown. Instead, the full amount was debited without compromise, with no rebooking option or fair reduction – even though we did not claim any benefits. At the same time, the booking was immediately marked as canceled, so the room could probably be reallocated. Such inflexible and purely profit-oriented behavior is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. No goodwill, no service idea – clear non-recommendation. Raramente ho sperimentato un comportamento così deludente. Il nostro soggiorno ha dovuto essere annullato a causa di scioperi di breve durata della Lufthansa – una situazione sulla quale non abbiamo avuto alcuna influenza. - Iain (9/5): Comfort and hospitality in the centre of Rome - Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of foods including fruits, vegetables and gorgeous cakes as well as all the usual breakfast foods. Lovely teatime teatime treats and a pleasant space for a quiet evening drink. Enough space for an armchair would have been nice, but the large bed and bathroom were lovely.

The room was stylish, spotless and incredibly comfortable - the location was perfect for exploring Rome while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond with thoughtful service and great recommendations - one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. Short walk from main station, thus easy access to airport. Great design, comfortable, lovely staff. Very good breakfast, coffee and loved the freshly made juice. Tea and cake were very good too. I liked the small outside paved area, but I really would have liked to sit there and read, but the furniture wasn’t conducive. It would be great to have some more comfortable chairs.

- Jessica (10/5): Delightful place to stay in Roma, even if choosing the Single Light Rooms as a solo traveler! - I first learned about this hotel from a Conde Nast Traveller (magazine) list for Best Hotels in Rome (2024) and I'm glad I was able to go. For this trip, I went the 'budget route,' which isn't my usual, so even though they looked nice enough (online) I wasn't 100% sure if the 'Single Light Room' would be adequate. The room is very spacious, considering it's their budget option for solo travelers, at 20sqm (many 'Superior' rooms are this size in Rome). What really impressed me was how large the bathroom and shower were for this room type. The bed is a 'French Double' so even though it says 'Single' room, the bed itself is really not much smaller than a 'Queen' bed (US). The room I received was the middle of the three Single Light rooms (#2) and it was very quiet (on the 1st floor, which is 2nd floor to Americans). The staff is outstanding - all of them - and the breakfast is really excellent! I especially loved the cooked spinach and broccoli in the morning to accompany my scrambled eggs. My copious requests for espresso drinks each morning were met with a smile every time...And, if you have a sweet tooth you'll be well rewarded with many freshly baked items at breakfast (which vary each day). There are juices, fresh fruits, daily smoothie, meats and cheeses, and a some items added/changed daily to mix it up. I would only suggest having just a plain freshly baked buttery croissant from time to time (they did have fresh croissants but with chocolate or other sweets in it). Apparently there is an afternoon tea with sweet treats also but I never made it to that during my stay. Monti is a fantastic neighborhood with so many charming boutiques and restaurants right outside the hotel. To me the pillows were lacking but not to the point that I couldn't sleep. The mattress comfort was ok (I'd say 7.5/10) but again, it's the budget room (worked out to be roughly 250 euros/night with breakfast included), so... In the light of day there were quite a few marks on the bathroom wall that wouldn't take much effort to refresh. I wasn't sure if I was giving a "show" in silhouette to the courtyard below and apartments across from my room due to the floor to ceiling frosted glass in the shower..? Ultimately I didn't worry about it enough to inquire at the front desk about it but it might be concerning for some people. Fairly hilly streets in Monti, which for someone with foot issues (like myself) isn't ideal.

Tucked in the charming Monti neighbourhood, the location is simply perfect! The Colosseum is a 10-minute walk away, Termini station is nearby, and the area is full of character with great restaurants and local life all around. The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was evident everywhere, from the quality of the bedding to the perfect shower pressure. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely happy to help, from restaurant recommendations to planning our days around the city. The breakfast deserves a special mention: fresh, homemade, and honestly one of the best ways to start a morning in Rome. The afternoon tea with homemade cakes was a delightful surprise after a long day of sightseeing. This is not just a hotel, it feels like a home away from home. We will absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommended.

I was in touch with Antonio at the front desk before arriving, and he made sure our arrival was smooth and he answered all my questions. The hotel is so close to the train station so we walked there with our bags and the check-in process was warm and effective; our bags were brought to our room. The room was spacious and clean, well appointed with everything we could possibly need and the bathroom was luxurious with giant fluffy towels and robes. The lovey Georgia at the front desk gave us several restaurant recommendations and we were ecstatic with the two that we tried (Brocoletti and La Taverna dei Fiori Imperiali). We headed out for a walk and realized we were not only in a lovely neighborhood, but we were so close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The next morning we discovered that the absolute best thing about the Fifteen Keys hotel was the breakfast. Mamma Mia it was divine and everything was homemade by Ionela who was incredibly friendly and she even shared a recipe with me!! There were so many delicious choices: 6 different homemade cakes, hams and cheeses, roasted veggies, breads, avocados and tomatoes, eggs, bacon and sausage, coffees, Prosecco, homemade juice of the day, a warm wellness shot, fresh fruits.

Besides being located in a prime spot in the Monti neighborhood, the accommodations, staff, and breakfasts are outstanding. All the major attractions are within walking distance. I recommend spending time also exploring the neighborhoods of Rome, they are just beautiful. There are a number of good restaurants also within walking distance. What makes the Fifteen Keys hotel is the staff. As a solo traveler, I usually stay in Bed and Breakfast inns due to safety and the interaction with the B&B hosts. This hotel fits the bill in both categories. I felt completely safe to walk everywhere, even to and from dinners. The staff, particularly the chef/baker and food service staff made me feel at home. I have numerous food allergies, and they were extremely accommodating, which I appreciated. I wouldn’t look any further and book this hotel!
- Claudia Stadler (10/5): Ein Hotel, das keine Wünsche offen lässt! - Ich muss sagen, dieses Hotel war eines der entzückendsten Unterkünfte die wir je gebucht haben. Das Hotel hat so viel Charme, was sowohl das Ambiente als auch das Personal betrifft, dass es kaum zu überbieten ist. Die Ausstattung ist bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht - und man kann sich einfach nur wohl fühlen. Für Rom ist das wirklich eine Meisterleistung! Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war ein Traum - so liebevoll hergerichtet, dass es keine Wünsche offen ließ. Zum 16. Geburtstag meiner Tochter haben wir eine Torte bestellt, auch diese wurde liebevoll gebacken und als Überraschung wurde sogar ihr Zimmer dekoriert. Dieses Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen!

The place is exceptionally clean and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. The staff helped us book tables at local restaurants, and we couldn’t have been happier with their recommendations. The breakfast and afternoon tea were outstanding, with delicious cakes — and we were always greeted with big smiles. It felt like a home away from home. We will both be back soon. - Andrea (9/5): Wunderschönes Boutique Hotel - Wunderschönes kleines und persönliches Boutique Hotel in perfekter Lage im Stadtteil Monti. Wirklich sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Tolle Tipps für Restaurants in der Nähe. Gutes Frühstück, nur das Brot war nicht wirklich gut und die Eierspeisen kalt. Ansonsten viele selbstgemachte Speisen und jeden Morgen einen anderen frisch gepressten Saft. Zimmer schön und ruhig nach hinten in den Innenhof mit kleinem Balkon. Für unseren Geschmack war das Bett und vor allem die Kissen zu hart. Zimmer recht kühl. Im Bad nur eine winzige Heizung, die auch nur in der Nacht anging. Insgesamt auch wirklich sehr hochpreisig.

I have stayed here four times, and I always feel very welcome and well treated by the friendly staff. The location is perfect, as I love the Monti area of Rome. The breakfasts are excellent, always tasty and fresh, the decor is lovely, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. I am also super impressed with the showers...you know how sometimes they can be a trickle? These are just the right amount of water pressure. The bedding, towels, everything is lovely. I enjoy relaxing in the breakfast/lounge area and looking out onto the patio during the winter, and sitting in the patio area in the summer. Everything you need is here.

The location is outstanding, set in one of the city’s most atmospheric neighborhoods, within easy walking distance of major sights, and very well connected by public transport if you want to explore further. The hotel has real character that fits Rome perfectly: elegant, authentic, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. The breakfast area is lovely, and the breakfast itself is a highlight - fresh, homemade, and of excellent quality. Finally, the staff deserve special mention: genuinely polite, professional, and welcoming throughout the stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Rome, in one of the city’s best areas.
- Christian (9/5): Spitzenklasse - Wenn Gastfreundschaft einen Namen hat, dann ist es definitiv das Fifteen Keys Hotel in Rom. Die Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam und erfüllen wirklich sehr viele Wünsche ohne, dass es irgendwie ein Problem wäre - wir hatten eine improvisierte Geburtstagsparty unserer Tochter und zusätzlich nur bestellten Geburtstagstorte gab es noch eine kleine Überraschung für sie auf ihrem Zimmer. Sowas nenne ich echte Gastfreundschaft und Aufmerksamkeit. Es sind die vielen Details, die dieses Hotel bietet und die den positiven Unterschied machen (z.B. ein extra Lunchpaket, da wir sehr früh zum Flughafen aufbrechen mussten). In diesem Hotel kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Einzig die Betten könnten weicher sein, aber wenn das, das einzige Manko ist, wird sofort klar: das hier ist eine klare Empfehlung für eine Übernachtung in Rom. Die Lage ist außerordentlich gut, super Lokale in der Nähe, die Metro ebenfalls in Gehdistanz... alles in allem top! Wieder abreisen zu müssen :-)
- daviesra (8/5): Peaceful - This small hotel is very friendly and welcoming. I had a large comfortable room with its own terrace. Sadly it rained most of the time so I didn’t get to use it. There is a paid mini bar and a coffee machine and kettle. There’s a supermarket almost next door so it was easy to stock up on water and milk for tea. Breakfast is home cooked although hot items don’t stay hot for long. The location is quiet and close to St Maria Maggiore. Various transport options are in walking distance.

Die Zimmer zum Innenhof sind Nachts ruhig, gut ausgestattet mit Minibar (kostenpflichtig), Wasserkocher für Kaffee/Tee, Bademäntel, Patschen, Föhn, Haarglätt-Gerät, Schirme, Safe, … es hat an nichts gefehlt! Tolle Lage für Sightseeing. Viele Restaurants in der Nähe.

- Bostontravels (10/5): Great small hotel in wonderful Rome neighborhood - Such a great place - the Monti district is close to many of the popular Roman tourist sites yet as you walk back to the hotel the crowds lessen. The area is lively with great restaurants and bars, but not chaotic. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, the rooms we had (master room and a superior gray room) were very comfortable and the breakfast/bar area was lovely. We'd have a homemade breakfast with great cappuccino every morning and a pre or post dinner glass of wine or Negroni (husband loved their Negroni). We reached out to staff a month in advance to make restaurant reservations for us and we had some great local meals. They also recommended a good tour company for a few private tours, Bibbo Tours, who were wonderful. Highly recommend.

This is not a grand hotel but a small, incredibly comfortable hotel with a fantastic staff, and super wonderful breakfast, in a very convenient area... Each day (we spent 3 nights and then came back for 2 more) , after that wonderful breakfast, we were able to walk to the sights we wanted to see... The only time we took a taxi was to get to the Vatican and even then we walked back.... I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We stayed in two different rooms (one at the beginning of our trip; again when we returned to Rome for our flight home), both beautifully designed and exceptionally comfortable. Every detail was exquisite — from the warm and attentive service to the delicious breakfast buffet and lovely afternoon tea. The hotel’s charming courtyard provided a peaceful escape right in the heart of the city, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The entire atmosphere felt calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The staff is very friendly, assisted with taxis, dinner reservations, airport transfers & opened breakfast a little earlier than normal to accommodate our early flight. We can’t wait to return to this little gem — it made our trip to Rome absolutely perfect.

This boutique property is perfectly located, central and convenient, especially for a short stay, and it exceeded all of my expectations. We stayed in the Deluxe Blue Room, and it was our favorite hotel room of the entire trip. The room was beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches from the plush robes to the high-end amenities that made it feel truly special. The communal spaces downstairs were really cozy, but still elegant, including the bathrooms. Breakfast each morning was excellent and the perfect way to start the day. We also loved that the staff would deliver drinks from the bar to enjoy in the lounge or in the room, a small detail that made the experience feel even more personal. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations or arrangements. If I return to Rome, I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again, an absolute gem!

- F4704WTlisab (10/5): 30th anniversary trip 8 day stay, two Americans in our 50s. - This was perhaps the best hotel experience my husband and I have ever had. Superb. We stayed for 8 nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. To say everything was perfect is an understatement. First, the staff was always available (24 hours a day, a smiling face at the front desk, even on our late night returns and early morning wake ups) and always lovely and helpful - they arranged taxis for us, recommend restaurants and made a dinner reservation for us, sent out our laundry, and had early breakfast for us on the day we traveled to Pompeii, and on the day we left. The staff speaks great English, and they were patient and encouraging with our Duolingo basic Italian. The room was picturesque (we stayed in a Deluxe Blue Room), bathroom had fabulous water pressure. The breakfasts are a pinnacle experience - Ionela prepares every food you could ever want for breakfast excellently and presents it buffet style, with table service for delicious morning cappuccino, and a daily homemade juice blend. Location is prime - lovely street in Monti with restaurants and gelato shops and lovely stores just steps away. Next door to a Pam grocery in case you need a snack or cosmetic item (you won't...you will be too full from breakfast and afternoon tea...but in case you do...literally right next door). Short walk to Termini train station (we took the train up to Florence for a day super easy). Bar for any type of alcoholic beverage when you want it. I just can't say enough nice things. We will remember our stay here for years to come! Don't hesitate to stay here...Fifteen Keys won't disappoint!
- Tiago (10/5): - O hotel está muito bem localizado a poucos minutos a pé da estação termini, da basílica Santa Maria magiore e do próprio Coliseu e da Fontana de Trevi. É difícil um alojamento tão central. Relativamente ao preço, é competitivo com os preços praticados em Roma - que são muito, muito inflacionados. Pode ser sentido algum ruído no quarto, mas isso é contrabalançado com o facto de ser um hotel mais pequeno e a rua não ser super movimentada. O pequeno almoço era muito bom e o staff foi do mais simpático e prestável que conheci. Inclusivamente, cinco dias depois de lá ficar hospedado, numa escala longa antes do regresso ao país de origem pedi para me guardarem a mala e atenderam ao sucedido. Recomendo.
