• Georgia (8/5): Penthouse - (female only) top floor general review - The penthouse has good size pods with a usb port beside the head of the bed, both a lamp and an overhead light. A plug socket at the foot of the sleeping area along with a keypad locker. There is space under the bed to store your bag and some coat hooks inside the pod. In the penthouse there is a mirror in the entry hallway and a shoe rack the hallway leads to the main room and bathroom. The bed was decent with two.large fluffy pillows. There is the option to ask for another duvet if needed it gets comfy and cozy in the evening. There is a curtain on your pod as well as tla curtain in the window to help with light. The balcony is cute with a table and chairs as well as two seats. The receptionist I got on my first day was super lovely! At the end of the day for the price, privacy, location and the comfort I would say it is worth booking There is no way to access this property without stairs, to get in is a few steps along with the four and a half flights of stairs to the top floor not crazy but worth noting before booking. Although still a hostel this seems to mostly be quiet business style people who seem disinterested in a hostel community - there were a decent ammunt of people who seemed to book in same day to stay as a different reservation had fallen through so we're definitely not in the mood for the communal aspec The bathroom while nice and clean was a little run down, on top of this if your on the top floor and need the bathroom halfway through cooking you've got to ascend four flights of stairs to use the bathroom. I don't know where the bathroom on the third floor is however in the morning I could hear it going off a lot in pod two it was fine as I was already awake but I could see this annoying others. Feel like these are extremely negative for a hostel it's more down to preference I would definitely book again but if you want that more friendly, coming together vibe I'd probably go to CODE: The court!

• Angela (10/5): Exceeds my expectations! Definietely, I’ll come back again. - The location is in the city centre, close to everything. It is clean and well maintained. Sigrid is very approachable and helpful, always with the welcoming smile. It’s a chill and cool vibe place to stay and meet new people. I just observed that most of the guest are young professionals/young adult, the place is quiet with respectful guest. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. It gets a little bit noisy during the night and early morning because of the pub close to it but it will be for a short time.

• Marion (10/5): - J’ai reçu un très bon accueil, c'était très propre et agréable d’avoir la capsule isolée avec un rideau pour la nuit. Idéal par sa localisation ! Un peu bruyant à cause de la proximité avec les vars à l'extérieur mais ça ne m’a pas dérangé tant que ça.

• Lenka (9/5): The spacious pods are well worth it! - Great location, the room was totally quiet, bed comfy and clean (amazing duvet), the bathroom great. I've stayed at The Court on the Royal Mile before and for a long time it was my favourite stay in Edinburgh. Maybe I just got old, but having the larger pod with en suite bathroom and a balcony was SO nice that this is my new fave place to stay. A bit less affordable than the pods on Royal Mile, but my old knees need the bit of comfort at this point. Amazing location relative to the Waverley train station, too, especially when you're using Edinburgh as a gateway to the rest of Scotland.

Ear plugs provided as Wetherspoons below gets a lot of traffic doing deliveries early in the morning. Only 1 toilet on each level, with the number of dorms/people not ideal.

Only cold, very cold water so no possibility to wash my hair, to take a shower!!!! Absence of administrator, absence of any staff around 9 a.m in the hostel - so nobody to ask to fix that!!!!

• Teje (9/5): Smidig og sentralt, og mye for pengene. - Perfekt beliggenhet knapt hundre meter fra trikkestoppen på Princes Street. Smidig løsning med kode til dør, rom og eget skap, veldig hyggelig betjening når de var til stede. Kjøkken/oppholdsrom var trivelig, med mulighet for å jobbe, lage mat eller slappe av. De har system med merkelapper man kan sette på maten sin i kjøleskapet. Kjøkkenet har alt som trengs av utstyr. Rommet var fresht, veldig privat med kapselkøye, jeg la knapt merke til de andre jeg delte rom med. Kodelåsen på skapet var ltt vrang å få til å fungere, jeg trengte flere forsøk og måtte være veldig nøye for at den skulle få med seg alle sifrene. Den ene håndvasken på badet var nesten tett. En del bråk fra søppeltømming fra gaten tidlig om morgenen.

• Mia (9/5): Fancy Hostel - Alles ist gut abgesichert, jeder hat seinen „Pod“ und ein eigenes Schließfach. Obwohl es ein Hostel ist, ist es sehr sauber. Die Atmosphäre im Gemeinschaftsraum ist ruhig und gemütlich. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Pods haben nur USB-A und USB-C Stecker. Normale Stecker kann man im Raum einstecken.

• Elizabeth (3/5): A good idea but horribly dirty. - The pods are good because you have light protection from the rest of the bunk room, so even people coming late at night did not disturb you. The bathroom was nice and clean. The pod hadnt been cleaned properly and it was honestly a bit disgusting and made me feel very uncomfortable during my stay. Also the lockers did not work so everyone's stuff was out everywhere.

• Karol (10/5): El mejor hostal de Edimburgo si tienes más de 30 años - Es un hostal muy limpio y cómodo en sus instalaciones. Privado y reservado. Su ubicación en rose street es muy estratégica ya que está cerca de bares y restaurantes y a 10 min con una vista muy agradable caminando al old town
