Guest Reviews
- RSNewcastle (4/5): Could be good, but too many negatives. - Too many bad points for us to return to this hotel.
Positives are location, decent size of the apartments, the nice outdoor space and the friendly staff.
The bad:
Too near the main ring-road. Not anything the hotel can control, just disturbing at night if you’re not used to noise as it doesn’t stop.
Other guests. The hotel seems to have alot of short stays, and they made a lot of noise coming in at 1, 2 am. In our second week a family spent their time around the hotel pool playing their own music loudly as though it was their own space. Very selfish behaviour, constantly changing tracks, singing & whistling as though they were at a private pool. This in spite of the hotel having their own music playing from the bar, meaning the 2 clashed and made it impossible to relax. No attempt by the staff to have a word even thing it was obviously intrusive to the other guests trying to read or sunbathe around the pool.
The room standard. If it was sold as typical 3* Greek and you arrived expecting that we would have no complaints, but the hotel calls itself “luxury” and “4*”. It really isn’t.
No hot water if you’re too late out of bed in the morning or into the shower before going out in the evening. Thought those days in Greece were long gone!
Aircon. The charge is per room in the apartment, and it was ineffective (loud, difficult to control and ours was set at minimum of 20°, which is a bit off when people are paying for it).
In defence of George at the bar, his humour is sarcasm which we and others found very funny - but it doesn’t translate into all cultures so I can understand why some might not get it & complain. He looked after us fine though.
So no, we won’t be returning here.
- rickybY5329AR (2/5): Shocking Hotel - Absolutely shocking behaviour from the barman George.
Absolutely hates people and doesn't care about anything or anyone.
When I asked for a beer one night I was told I want my peace and to be away from all these stupid people! Never in my 20 years going to Greece have I experienced such a vile human being.
Complained about view on room as payed extra for Seaview.
Got told im just a barman and do not care.
Pool is filthy and rooms dated with peeling wallpaper.
2 star at best and I'd avoid at all costs.
Didn't try food or drink as barman was too rude!
- 787tenib (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE !!! WORST ''HOTEL'' EVER !! - I'm not one to leave reviews but due to how shocking this hotel was I had too. There is too much to write go I am going list the (few) positives and negatives below.
Positives: Spacious room, freezer in the fridge
Negatives:
1. Have to pay for aircon which is 10 euros a day for one unit or 15 for 2. We paid for 2 and they were both rubbish. One barely worked and we had to close the bedroom for the other to work. Such a scam
2. There was no full length mirror in any room? To see our full outfits we had to go down to the entrance when waiting for our taxi which was cheap because it was slightly distorted. They also close the whole reception area so some nights we couldnt even check. The arrow directing where to go when the entrance is locked also points the wrong way so we had to call for help just to get out
3. The breakfast.... absolute scam and it obvious the hotel and trying to cut costs and be as cheap as possible. We paid for breakfast and the first day we came down there was no coffee, a few stale pastries, and some dry cereal. I asked the lady working there wheres the food and she said due to a few guests having breakfast they did not make any and we could request it.. Ok, not ideal but we requested eggs, bacon and sausage. they gave us two of the saltiest fried eggs ever (my friends have egg shell in it), a hot dog sausage and two slices of turkey bacon. My friend asked for coffee as there was none when we arrived and as it wa past breakfast time they said its late but made her one anyways.... which is crazy as we arrived during breakfast time but the coffee had not been refilled. She afterwards decided to ask for an iced coffee and they say yes, then brought her a menu where she would need to pay... absolutely shocking considering the scraps they gave us for breakfast. This is the only day we ate breakfast and decided to skip it for the rest of the trip. the funny thing is, we can down one morning as we were getting a taxi and could smell food and i looked into the kitchen and could see the lady and another lady with a plate of food yet they were starving us!
4.. The cleaner... our room did not ONCE get a complete clean in the whole week we were there. We were provided fresh towels every other day? I had to basicslly ask the cleaner ten times to give us them on the fresh towel days, and when asking downstairs what the towel situation was, they said we have to pay if we want extra towels... even premier inn give free towels and this is meant to be a 'luxury' hotel. The cleaner considered moppping the floor, and giving fresh towels a clean of the room. We had two glasses in the sink from the start of the holiday to the end, and when i physically handed the cleaner the cups to be cleaned she put them BACK IN THE SINK??? She also tried to make me change the bathroom bin ourselves!! i said no you can come in. She also LIED to another staff member and said we would not let her into the room when we were constantly waiting for her so she could come and clean the room. WE THEN HAD TO CHANGE OUR OWN BEDDING! i have never experienced this in my life. The bedding was no once changed and i had started to get rashes on my skin as it is sensitive so we went down as the cleaner had once again not done her job, and they gave us bedsheets to do it ourselves... never in my life have i had to do this. we were too scared to see what the mattresses looked like so ended up putting the sheets over the dirty bedding. This all sounds fake but i have taken photos for reference.
5. The plates provided with the apartment were dirty and we were not provided any dish soap so we could not wash anything.
5. The hotel oveerall is so dirty and disgusting. There were ants all over the balcony table. There was clump of hair in the shower which stayed there and was not mine of my friends hair as we have blonde and light brown hair. There was a hair on the sink from when we arrived to when we left (which is how i knew the cleaner was not cleaning a thing!). When we had to change out own bedding we bedding we were provided has a stain on it! how lovely!
6. NO DUVET. they gave us some small sheets as covers? the coloured bedding you see in the photos was there but there was no chance we were using that on our skin as there is no chance those were washed considering the state of the room. we went to bed with no covers every night which is insane
7. Bedroom light was broke in the main area. There were barely any lights so it was so dim in the rooms and hard to get ready. due to the bad aircon we had to stay in the bedroom unless we would be sweating while getting ready, and share one mirror.
8. we paid for sea view but could barely see the sea. our view was a bunch of dirt and rubbish the the sea was on the side. they should have called it pool view
9. tourist tax was 10 euros a day. for some reason they charged us at the end of the trip and not the start like everyone else. so ontop of the aircon we paid a ridiclos amount of money for this horrible horrible hotel. i wish we spent a little bit extra and went somewhere else. we did explain all the above to the staff when leaving and they said we should have told them and apologised. i said we told one member about the cleaner and the cleaner lied, and we did not want to have to keep coming down for minor issues. i was there for my birthday and the last thing i want to do is keep going down to reception when
OVERALL, DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN A GOOD HOTEL!!!!! everything else about my holifay was great but the hotel completely ruined it!!!
- JetSetterSheffield (10/5): Small friendly hotel - We arrived at 2am in the morning after a delay. The hotel was locked up but there was a number on the main door to ring. The owner promptly arrived and showed us to our room.
It was a 2 roomed apartment with a sea view overlooking the pool. We were on the second floor and really heard very little noise.
The pool area was small but served its purpose. A nice little bar that also served breakfast and lunch.
The apartment had sufficient kitchen facilities. There was an airer on the balcony to dry your clothes. Beds comfortable.
Supermarket across the road by using the underpass. ATM machine outside hotel.
Bus stop to Hersonisis and bus stop to Malia close by.
5 minutes walk to beach. Eden beach bar does nice food and charges 8 euros for 2 beds and brolly.
10 minutes walk to nightlife in Stalis.
Room tax 10 euro per night payable on arrival. Safe deposit box 2 euro per day.
Air con 10 euros per day but we tried the first night without it and decided not to bother. Room 210 did not require it.
- nataliecL528CU (10/5): Chilled vibe and perfect stay! - We’ve booked again for next year! First time we’ve ever returned to the same hotel twice.
We had a beautiful one bedroom apt with an amazing sea and pool view. The room was clean and very spacious, lacking a little on clothes storage in the living area but the teenagers lived out of their cases! Kitchen area a good size and actually has a fridge with a freezer that worked unlike many hotels I’ve stayed in previously! The only thing it was missing was a little kitchen welcome pack, as self catering it would make sense to have a little bottle of washing up liquid and a sponge but other than that, very well equipped.
Cleaner were lovely who spoke with us every day.
Family owned and you can tell how much they care for the place and their guests. George the barman was hilarious and very welcoming, and the lady who cooks in the kitchen was insanely good! The food was delicious, we were self catering but had breakfast and lunch a couple of times.
Such a chilled hotel, no stress getting a sunbed at all. Nobody reserved beds, we went down at 10:30/11 some days and there was still availability. The pool looked quite small on the photos but it’s plenty big enough. It’s defo a perfect place for families with older children but if you’re used to large hotels with lots of entertainment for little ones, this probably wouldn’t suit you.
We checked out around 11 and coach didn’t pick us up until 3pm so we also used the shower facilities which were the best I’ve used, clean, spacious and well equipped.
The whole hotel and town are very chilled and relaxing which is why we’re returning next year. Can’t wait!
Thank you Dias for an amazing two weeks, see you next year!
- Andynemily (8/5): Good hotel with one slight niggle - A good hotel which is spotlessly clean. The pool area is nice, the bar area has a relaxed vibe.
The staff are really helpful be it day or night and the food is excellent.
Location wise it’s about a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Stalis, there’s a great bar called cosmopolitan around the corner.
The reason for 4/5 is upon arrival we were put in a room which wasn’t as described. We had booked a one bedroom apartment. What we got was an apartment with one bed in then a camp bed at the end of our double bed. Not suitable at all for a family of four with two teenage boys. When I spoke to the bar man he said speak to reception the next day which I did and we were promptly moved to another room which was what we had booked and was good. Our friends arrived after us and unfortunately got the same style room (again a family of four with two teenage boys). The problem was they couldn’t be moved for three days and they were only there for a week. If you had two small children the rooms were fine but having teenagers who need their own space it just wasn’t practical especially having a camp bed.
Overall a really good hotel, the problem I’d have re booking would be if we got the same room we had upon arrival. If we could garuantee the larger one bedroom apartments this would be a no brainer to book as it has everything you need for a great holiday.
- NatM72 (10/5): Fabulous holiday - We have just spent 10 days here in room 203 we had a fabulous Seaview room with beautiful sunrises and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever had on a holiday.
The hotel is owned by Foffe and her brother who are incredible hosts nothing is too much trouble. In fact all of the staff are amazing George at the bar, the lady chef and the cleaning ladies who keep everything clean and tidy.
The food at the hotel is lovely and cooked to order which means you can stay by the pool all day, it is very reasonably priced too.
The hotel is in a great position close to the beach and town but far enough to get peace and quiet when needed.
We visited Spinalonga which we highly recommend it was very interesting.
In a nutshell our stay here was so relaxing we would recommend it and we hope to return again soon.
It also speaks volumes when you meet lovely people that return to Hotel Dias year after year we can see why as it is a very special place.
- funkyfish5867 (10/5): Absolutely Amazing Stay - We visited for 10 days with teenagers slightly out of school holidays and we were so happy with our choice. Dias is in a fantastic location with only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk from a supermarket.
We had room 102 and it was perfect for our needs, being directly opposite the pool. The bedroom was large and the children slept on 2 singles in the kitchen area, which worked well. The kitchen is fine for making lunches and breakfast, but I think you would struggle to make dinner, but we ate out every day as there are so many restaurants in walking distance. The cleaners work so hard and came in every day to make the beds and change the bins and every other for fresh linen and towels.
We had no issue a getting a sun bed everyday and the bar food was fantastic. Everything is homemade and cooked fresh, so there may be a short wait but it really was worth it. The bar team were so friendly and accommodating and if we ever return to Crete, we would only book here.
- irimiead (2/5): - Room 208. I will never return here. No open window in the bedroom. Nothing to put the luggage on. We stayed with the luggage on the floor....0 stars!
- 128donnaf (10/5): So chilled and relaxing - Fabulous wee place. So relaxing. I travelled with my granddaughter and her friend, both 21yrs of age, they absolutely loved it. So friendly and accommodating. Staff are great, food is great. Maria the cook has now retired, she is a big loss. 3 times I’ve been and just back but already booked for 2 visits in 2026.
- H2025LWmarkj (10/5): Fantastic, chilled out week at the Diaz - We both had a fantastic stay here. Possibly the best Greek hotel we have stayed at over our years of travel. The hotel is amazing. Staff are kind and helpful with the room and public areas spotlessly clean. Breakfast is typically Greek although there is a cooked option for those wanting to go English. We were in an apartment with a wonderful view over the resort and coastline. The hotel is on the western edge of Stalis but an easy 10 minute walk gets you to the beach and resort centre. We will definitely be back and thanks to George and his staff for a wonderful break.
- fatbaldy2018 (10/5): Great place - Absolutely fantastic great place absolutely loved our stay here the place was clean and tidy the pool are was beautiful the seating area everything we loved it not a far walk to the town and the beach we will be back it was so quite when we where there shame you can’t guarantee that absolutely fantastic holiday
- L7549HAgillianm (10/5): Relaxed, comfortable and chilled - Brilliant location very chilled hotel staff a delight and very welcoming, rooms beautiful and very comfortable, breakfast was very good three choices, continental, American and healthy are delicious. Coffee and tea also served with breakfast. They also had lunch menu and the food was really good I had tuna salad. We were ground floor so we had a terrace at the front which was lovely as you got the late sun going down. The hotel is only a 10 min walk from the stalis centre and the beach which was great for us
- weekend-explorers (10/5): Very homely - Half way through a two week stay and we would not hesitate to return here or recommend it to friends.
The staff are wonderful and friendly and the breakfast is excellent.
We have had one afternoon meal and couldn’t move afterwards- it was huge and lovely.
Really looking forward to our second week!
- 20louisel (10/5): Fantastic time again. - Back at the Dias for the 12th or 13th time and everything is just a s great as the first
time we came. The rooms are spotless and spacious. The food delicious, service fantastic and the location is good. A short walk down to the beach and all the fantastic restaurants and little shops. I would recommend these apartments to both families and couples.
- mamady14 (8/5): Fantastic apartments. Will return. Brilliant holiday. - On arrival, we were met by a lovely lady called Foffee. Who advised us not to fully unpack as we were moving rooms the following day. We liked the room we were first put in. It was big and spacious, but we were happy to move. The 2nd room was a massive two room apartment. A double bed in the main bedroom. Lovely furniture. The 2nd room was a kitchenette, which included a single bed. With a bathroom to the side. Which also had a balcony over the reception. (We didn't hear noise on an evening) This had a beautiful sea view!! So we were very pleased with the room change.
That evening, we were met at the bar by George. Whst a nice man. Very chatty and witty.
Great bar area to have your refreshments and to socialise. We had a few games of pool on an evening before heading out. (George I did win Richard 🏆 😂)
The apartments at Dias are well equipped. Very clean. Good decor. Well maintained. Lovely furniture.
We had a wonderful time here this summer and will definitely be back.
I scored this 4/5 because I felt that some of the sunbeds needed replacing as they were the old metal and mesh dedign, and some were broken. I'd have hate to have laid on one for it to have collapsed. Apart from that, everything else was spot on.
Big shout out to our cleaner. What a lovely lady. Towels were designed regularly, and a beautiful Swan created from them for us. It's the special touches that matter.
Well done to all at Dias. Your hospitality was simply the best.
We loved it and will certainly be back.
- Cruet1 (10/5): Gem of a hotel in a great location - Just leaving this Gem of a hotel and all sad that our holiday has come to an end.
Upon arrival around midnight we were greeted by the amazing comedian barman that is George and shown to our rooms. He then invited us down to the bar which was a blessing after a long day of travelling.
Having stayed in Stalis 11 times down the other end we fancied Dias apartments as it was away from the main strip but still close by if you want to head that way (10min walk)
Recommended trying a resto nearby called Romantic corner for the view and the food is great.
We paid for a room with a sea view and wow what a view it was (room 203)
It has been 35c - 40c throughout the week and buying the air con is highly recommended as do not know how we would of survived the nights without it.
The pool is a little small which we were concerned about after booking but it wasn't overly busy. We were able to get sun beds each day without issue and actually found ourselves sitting at the tables under the shelter when not in the pool. But the pool is great!
The cleaners work relentlessly to keep the entire place clean and are very friendly to greet you around the grounds.
Chats with George late into the nights gave us so much entertainment. His witty banter is second to none, really made our holiday :)
Now for Maria who cooks everything homemade.... Myyyyy gosh amazing food! (And each dish plenty of it)
The Dias burger is a must, the pizza is great and the steak sandwich just wow!!!!
Maria is very passionate about her cooking and you understand why when it tastes so good.
Be sure to try her choices of breakfasts!
And finally we must mention Fofe the owner, what a lovely lady who you can see is working very hard all day to meet the demands of holidaymakers and will go out of her way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Always smiling 😁
Be sure to make the effort with this amazing team and they will give back tenfold!
Pretty sure we will be returning next year 😉
- DerbyBizzle (6/5): Fantastic vibe with great sea views but spoiled by other guests - Booked a sea view room for 12 nights, as already mentioned additional costs re aircon, safe and tourist tax cost just over £200 for 2 of us. George checked us in even though it was late he was lovely and helped with luggage showing us how aircon worked etc. Apartment was better than expected, kitchen had glasses, cutlery, crockery and pans although unfortunately the hob didn't work so there was a microwave which took up a lot of space and limited cooking options. Bed was very comfortable and large. Sheets and towels were changed regularly and rubbish removed - sometimes every other day but not always. As stated in other reviews the pool bar and food are superb, pool is small but should usually be adequate although some loungers were broken. For nearly a week into our holiday the vibe was relaxed and we were feeling smug with our choice - this feeling was shattered by the arrival of a small group of loud, foulmouthed guests who thought it was perfectly acceptable to swear at guests and commandeer at least 4 areas of the pool and bar to presumably allow scope for the day although often not using any of the sunbeds that they had placed towels on even for 5 minutes. The pool isn't wide and is great for non-swimmers as it has 3 levels with gradual incline - again however this group thought it was acceptable to space themselves out across the width of the pool at the 1.2 metre markings therefore blocking access to other guests for various time periods. I did ask management to ask the guests to refrain from using foul language and although they did listen I was told it would sort itself out - yes it did but only because several guests then refrained from using the pool area including us. This was a shame as it meant we then paid out extra money for sunbeds on the beach but also missed out on the gorgeous food served at the pool bar. I realise you can encounter uncouth guests all around the world but I had hoped management might have taken action. I will add that a shower was made available as we had a late flight home, we were unable to pay for a late checkout and we wished we'd realised that packs of water could be purchased from the bar which would have saved us struggling from the supermarket - I suggest management publicise this fact at check in or put a note in the apartments. Location of the apartments is good and probably a plane spotters dream as you can watch the planes coming into land from the balcony without hearing the plane engines and there is plenty of choice close by for food and drinks. To the left of the apartments on the seafront there is a shop selling exceptional ice cream. We rarely return to the same resort as we prefer to try other countries/resorts but in all honestly our experience was soured by a small group of guests and inability/reluctance of management to request they tone down their behaviour so we wouldn't return to Dias Apartments
- K879MApaulm (8/5): Family loved it - Just returned from a 12 night stay at Dias with my family of 4. This was our 6th time in Stalis, each visit staying at different accommodation.
Overall we were very satisfied with the accommodation. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. We liked the location which was very quiet, but it may not be suitable for people who don't have the mobility required for the 10-15 minute walk to/from the resort centre. The hotel has a nice bar and a lovely menu for food and drinks during the day. The bar stays open later into the evening and, even though our room overlooked the pool/bar area, we were not disturbed by noise at all. There is free WiFi throughout the premises and we found it reliable throughout our stay. The pool is small and sunbed space is limited although we managed to get space by the pool on the few occasions we tried.
The rooms are very comfortable and a good size. However, I do not believe that this is a genuine 4 star establishment. Some of the fit and finish within the rooms is looking a bit tired. I would not have mentioned this at all were this rated as a 3 star.
Before booking here you should be aware of the extra costs. Air Con is chargeable at €10/night for one unit, and €15/night for 2 units. The Greek tourist tax (durability fee) is €7/night/room for 4 star accommodation. The safe is €2/night. Overall we paid €280 on arrival for these extras.
Just after half way through our holiday one of the air con units broke. We were given a couple of fans while we waited for the maintenance man to arrive and were offered a move to a similar room when he couldn't fix the A/C.
There are many good points about this establishment. We would definitely consider returning.
- georgepV6042ZY (10/5): Second home - Our 5th stay at these lovely, friendly apartments. My wife & I can't bring ourselves to stay anywhere else.
Staff are so friendly & helpful & nothing is too much trouble. George is even willing to give out fashion tips! Lol.
Lovely day time snacks/food & home made chips! What more can you ask
Already booked for next year, HIGHLY recommend.
- sarahlou_2024 (8/5): Amazing and enjoyable - Great communication done by the owners, was emailed the day before asking what time we would land from our flight, and they waited for us to arrive, we were delayed coming in but it wasn’t a problem to them and amazing greeting felt at home the second we got there. Food was lovely, room was lovely and spacious, air con was amazing, cost 10€ a night but was so worth it to get a good night sleep, had timer on air con and all, would recommend and book again.
Pool the first week was quiet and easy to get a lounger the second week wasn’t as easy due to more people arriving but you could still get a lounger not a problem, they put more out as it got busier so was always space for everyone.
- fatbaldy2018 (10/5): Great place - Absolutely fantastic great place absolutely loved our stay here the place was clean and tidy the pool are was beautiful the seating area everything we loved it not a far walk to the town and the beach we will be back
- flora544 (10/5): Great - Fantastic, basic but absolutely spotless, great breakfast. Staff great. Pool great. The only thing not so good was the sun was gone over the pool around 2.30pm but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Booked to go back.
- oldched (10/5): Dias friendly apartments - Had a lovely stay at the Dias. Our room was lovely and big with a separate bedroom and with a view to the sea and a glimpse of the swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and the cleaner works exceptionally hard. Special thanks go to Maria who served our breakfast and looked after us. This place is about a 5 - 10 minute walk to all the main shops and restaurants so was really quiet.
Certainly would not hesitate to go back here!!!
- Gilli88 (6/5): Disappointed and deceived to a degree... - It's with a degree of sadness that I have to say that we were quite disappointed with our stay at this establishment and we won't be going back.
We have stayed on numerous Greek Islands and stayed at numerous Greek hotels, apartments and studios over the years. We love Greece and we know what to expect. We know that Greek 3, 4, or 5 star ratings might not always match up with standard expectations of 3, 4 or 5 star ratings but this particular establishment is vastly over-rated, both by the establishment and by Jet2.
We went with Jet2 on a package holiday and we felt on arrival that the photographs and the information on the Jet2 web site relating to this establishment were very misleading.
These are not 'Luxury' studios or apartments by any stretch of the imagination ( or, at least, ours wasn't.. !! )
We were 'self-catering'.. The apartment offered a toaster and a toasted sandwich-maker. We were expecting a small 'Baby Belling' style cooker.. two hot plates with a small oven.. as we had used in many other apartments and studios.. We asked for a cooker at reception, thinking one may have been removed for repair/replacement. Again, our expectations were a little optimistic.. we were left a single hot plate ( at the expense of the toasted sandwich maker.. which was removed from the apartment.) So, as even Jamie Oliver would have struggled to make a one pan wonder on what was barely a camping hot plate, we decided to try the food at the bar. The bar, we found out, stops serving food at 17.00. Barely lunchtime by Greek standards.. so you are left with very limited options if you actually want to 'self-cater' .. Fortunately there are a number of Tavernas and restaurants in Stalis and nearby Malia who offer a delivery option.
The swimming pool is very small and the limited supply of sun beds are all very close together and 'sardined' in around the pool. Hotel rules clearly state that sunbeds shouldn't be 'reserved' by putting towels out on them but in reality this happened every day.. a family of 4 adults managed to 'reserve' up to 8 beds for themselves at one point .. who knew that books, extra towels, water bottles etc actually need a sunbed all to themselves.. !! As is often the case these 'reserved beds' spent more time unoccupied than they did with their 'owners' in situ leaving very few 'beds' available for the other guests at the establishment who might have occasionally liked to enjoy some quiet time around the pool.. Nothing was said by the staff about this ignorant and selfish practice and having read other reviews from busier periods it would appear that this behaviour is allowed to occur on a daily basis. The glass panel between the large pool and the children's pool was filthy and needed a good clean.
Our room was huge.. with very little in it.. a comfy chair would have been welcome. The shower cubicle in the bathroom was tiny, suitable only for those with advanced yoga experience or 'double-joints'.. and the drain overflowed onto the bathroom floor after most showers. There was a large brown blob of foundation make-up, on the bathroom wall that was there when we arrived.. It was still there 11 days later, when we left..!! A lift (elevator) is mentioned on the hotel web site.. there isn't one. Not ideal for people with limited mobility if you're allocated an upstairs apartment/studio. To be completely fair though, It wasn't all bad.. the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The bedding and towels in the room were changed regularly and most of the communal areas were clean and well maintained. If you like going on trips while you're on your holidays then may I suggest booking your trips locally, rather than through Jet2 and your 'reps' .. Jet2 offered us a one day trip to Santorini for 175 Euros.. In Stalis, barely 15 minutes walk from the apartments we booked the very same trip from the Kourates outlet for 90 Euros.. !! Quite a difference and that difference applied to all the trips that Jet2 offer.. Book them locally and save a fortune. Likjewise, there is a mini-mart type shop just about opposite the appartments.. Katrina's ( or similar) .. It is very expensive .. If you are capable and have the time, take a walk into Stalis and buy your milk, bread, beer, water etc etc from one of the shops on 'the strip'.. we found our bill was almost half of what it had been at 'Katrina's'.. We enjoyed our break in Stalis, Crete.. the weather was lovely, even at the end of September, beginning of October but, all in all we would describe our experince as disapointing. There are numerous hotels/studios and apartments in this area.. I would suggest you look elsewhere.. there are genuinely 4 star establishments not too far away .. !!
- gerardh923 (10/5): A Warm welcome. - A good hotel. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Maria worked hard to make sure everyone was happy and enjoyed the food on offer. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would not hesitate in recommending or visiting again. Many thanks.
- DebBibs66 (10/5): Fantastic Dias!!! - Stayed at Dias with my partner for 10 days in September and I'm booking again for next September too!
Wonderful and friendly hotel.
The staff were all excellent.
Especially George the barman who is such a laugh.
Beautiful location.
Views from the room were amazing.
Food and drinks were good.
Rooms are HUGE!!!!
Some other guests did leave towels on the sunbeds but there was always some available in the afternoon so not really a problem.
100% recommended anyone to stay here
- alisonhammond (6/5): Dias Hotel - We stayed here for 10 nights at the beginning of September, we had a maisonette with a sea view, the views are stunning and the hotel is in a quiet location, we paid for the air conditioning and this was definitely needed. Out of the 10 nights we only managed to get round the pool on 1 day as people were putting towels on the sun beds in the early hours when coming back from their night out so when we got up there were no beds available! We spent everyday on the beach so never used the facilities at the hotel bar. These are definitely not “luxury” as advertised and would say they make a nice base but if you like to relax round the pool I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
- wilmared67 (10/5): Lovely place to stay - My husband and I spent a week in a maisonette apartment, the apartment was very roomy , lovely and clean , and best of all a stunning view from our balcony, all staff very nice , we are off to book again for next year , well done to them all 😍
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Grote kamer met keuken. Elke dag goede schoonmaak. Lekker zwembad.
