- Hargrave (4/5): - The location It was dirty ..sheets shower don't look like they cleaned the room ..the sheets had holes in it
- Kaitlyn (8/5): Nice overall. - Honestly it’s what you paid for ! $60 and it was a hole in the wall and the sheet has stains but once I asked the manager for new sheets he gave them to me . I was really scared never stayed in a place like that but honestly overall it felt so comfortable ! Didn’t wake up to no bed bugs . If you staying for a night or two and on a budget then it’s good to go . The ac/ heat didn’t really work that well.

- Debra (10/5): I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again. - Great value for the money with weekly rates available. Good location and pet friendly. They offered coffee and breakfast on the go in the a.m. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Friendly and courteous staff. Install a tissue holder in bathroom.

- Debra (5/5): Sub standard stay - The young lady at check in was courteous and helpful. While I recognize this is a low budget motel, there are some expectations that guests deserve. Care and maintenance of anything reflect out beyond the owner and manager of a business (and family members also) into the community and beyond. No air conditioning in the hallway at check in. Hallway carpets very soiled. Poor lighting, old bed linens and curtains, yellowed and thinned out bath towels from over usage and no hand towels offered in guest rooms. The first time I stayed at this motel, coffee and an assortment of pastries were offered. Upon checkout, the office was closed so I dropped my key in the drop box. No coffee was on sight that and I do not recall a coffee pot in the room either. Not to be a feminist, but some things need a woman's touch to carefully design and give attention to details.

- Calvin (3/5): - I didn’t really they have bed bugs really bad I wouldn’t even recommend anyone to stay there until it get cleaned up It looks like it’s in a deserted area
- Kyler (10/5): -
- John (8/5): The room was sufficient for my travel needs. - Convenient location. Nothing. All was good.
- Joshua (4/5): - Carpets are all stained. Seems like they don’t differentiate between smoking/non-smoking when washing the sheets. My sheets smelled like a smoker died in that room
- DAVID (4/5): Never again - 1 to 2 star rating is being generous at this place . Stayed here to be close to the race track for Sunday night and it will be my first and last stay . Roaches in the room, foul smells everywhere in the hotel, carpet through out that looks like its never seen a shampooer , and enough sketchy riff raft to ensure you'll never want to return. $300 plus dollar for a weekend stay here is a rip off this should be a $50 a night stay at max
- Jerone (2/5): Eh, stay away. Last resort. - OK stay if it's your LAST resort. The staff, owner, whoever the Indian fella at the front is - booked online, get to hotel and he claims he cannot locate my booking. Call booking while standing in front of him, they confirmed to him that I had an active booking for that night. He continues to LIE that he did not see it and was on the phone with them as well while I stood in front of him AND HANGS UP ON BOOKING CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I luckily was able to get canceled the same night and money returned the same night to book another room for another location. But he had the nerve to tell me AFTER he hangs up on them to come back and "we can work something out" on the prices. Come to find out from booking... THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY HERE AND THEY ARE INVESTIGATING HIS ACTIONS. He likes you to pay HIS raised prices at the location versus the lower booking price.
Mind you, I have stayed prior to this, booked and stayed no problem. This was my second time and he pulled this. Have. Not. Been. Back. Since.
Warning others.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Traveler - This is not a place you'd want to go on vacation but if you're in town and need a comfortable place to spend the night is perfect.
- John (2/5): Most disgusting hotel ever - This was the scariest Motel I've ever checked into and didn't stay. Between the smell of the ACs that smell like mold and the cigarette smell we tried to deal with that. The window did not lock and when we came back from the race there were four very shady men that were a little iffy. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if I get my money back he gave me a check out slip not knowing that I had to contact you. And I'm trying to get my money back cuz we didn't stay there it was disturbingly disgusting.
- tracy (6/5): - there was no cable in the room , and the 3 days i stayed my room was never cleaned

Facilities adequate for a 2 star rating:
Asked for nonsmoking room, but got room that stank of cigarettes, cigarette burns to blanket and ash trays. Room /bedside dressers and bathtub could have been better cleaned.
- Jasmine (1/5): Gross. - Staff was friendly It was horribly unclean and unsanitary. Filthy all the way around.

- michelle (4/5): - There was no hot water to take a shower ,i found crackers behide the nightstand ,roaches in the room and staff very ruid
- Cindy (10/5): - Everything
- Robyn (2/5): - This is one of the dirtiest hotels I have seen!!!! Fecal mater on mattress, moldy rooms
- Robyn (2/5): - Got there and immediately fell asleep in bed and when I awoke I realized there was no sheet and the blanket had fecal matter in it. The room was so damp that my clothing felt damp. Not someplace I will ever stay or recommend
- Tami (10/5): - This hotel is under new ownership and I can’t wait to see the changes to come! We will go back for the hospitality alone! The property is older and in need of some updates but the new owners seem like the perfect people to get the job done. It is so convenient to the Raceway and Florence. We will be staying again for sure!!
- Darlene (4/5): - The location for our stay was convenient but the room was terrible. The room had not been cleaned. The bed was made and there were towels hanging in the bathroom that were so worn out they were wrinkled. I had to go buy Clorox to clean the toilet that was horrible inside and out. The tub had not been cleaned there was hair in the drain. The bathroom floor had dirty shoe prints. The shower did not work. You turn the shower on a stream of water came out a small pipe above the faucet. The air conditioning unit had dust and what looked like black mold in the vents. There were dead flys in the window sill and there was no refrigerator or microwave as stated for room amenities. We couldn’t change rooms because there was nothing else available. For $398.00 I expected a much different room.
- Pamela (1/5): Pissed off in Darlington - Nikki They didn't honor my booking.com reservation.
Charged me $120.00 for the night and didn't have a place to stay the next night. The 120.00 was for 2 nights on my booking.com.
- Patricia (6/5): - Key card didn't work, fire alarm went off for no reason.
Mostly person above ne paced all night, i heard every step
- Vanessa (1/5): Bad -
- 661stevei (2/5): This place is a disaster waiting to happen - Went in with race team and when first entering lobby the smell was so bad I had to make myself not throw up. Smells like dirty toilet and burnt decaying food. There were dirty mattresses in the parking lot and just really dirty. We had 10 rooms reserved and when we tried to check in we were told only had 1 room. At this point I was jumping for joy and would gladly leave. I would not recommend anyone even think about booking this place unless you have absolutely no standards at all. FILTHY AND SMELLY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!!! Thank the Lord our reservations were messed up
- marj23 (2/5): Stop on the way to Florida - This was given 3 stars on Priceline! What a joke! This is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. Door had no slide lock, the furniture was in disrepair. This hotel is a real dis-service to people who come to the race track. And an eyesore to people in Darlington. The girl at the front desk was lovely and gave us the option of not staying but we had been driving 10 hours and couldn’t face looking for another place.
- WLWJr (2/5): Dive- you don't need to stay here. - Used mattresses stacked in the halls, filthy, crumbling bathroom and urchins apparently living there. I didn't expect much, but got even less. Air conditioner worked well. That's all I cay good about this dive.Save your money.
- snydered (2/5): Save yourself the headache - We were at the Darlington Raceway for the weekend and I had booked 2 nights at the Raceway Inn. We went to check in on Saturday evening and the front desk manager told me my reservation was cancelled. I booked this through Booking.com back in Nov 2014 so they had 10 months on this reservation. The front desk manager then told me Booking.com was only suppose to sell 10 reservations but sold 13. I called Booking.com (which i will never use again) and after after being on hold for 70 minutes informed me that Raceway Inn had called them 3 hours prior to my call and said I cancelled the room. It was pretty clear to me that Mr Manager at the Raceway Inn took a better offer (cash offer) and saved himself the booking fee from Booking.com. Of course I ended up at another dive but at least I had a place to sleep. Word to the wise, book direct and don't book with shady hotels!! There are quite a few nice hotels 5 miles from the Darlington Raceway. Use them!!
- Y295MUlindah (2/5): HOTEL MANAGER LIAR - Booked Hotel on line threw Travelocity for the Nascar Race I had booked it for Saturday night realized race was Sunday for three weeks I called hotel as my reservation said to do. Reservation said any changes call hotel I did Indian lady kept answering phone said manager wasn't in call back finally I called at night week before race asked him about changing my stay to Sunday he said no problem he would take care of it. He could not pull my reservation up but he said he would remember talking to me. I called a couple of days later he said no problem.......Sunday Morning I arrive after driving 13 hrs there were other people in his lobby he said he did not have reservation for me he said person I talked to was fired.
I know he was the one I talked to I had already asked his name Jay Patel !! I need to get to track with friends that I had there stuff I did not say anything.
Next day after driving all the way to Atlanta paying almost 300.00 for rooms I called him he still lied about who he was kept saying he would call me back I knew he wouldn't !!! I called the third party told them what happed they called him he admitted talking to me that he later learned he was sold out if he would have been honest called me told me I would have understood I am a General Manager for a hotel group instead he lied said manager had been fired " Really " Indians like you are what gives Indian owners bad names.
I have been in Hotel business over 10 years never have I seen a hotel that could not look up a past or present reservation but to lie like he did that is scary!!!
Stay away from this hotel you may carry home more than you want when I walked in the smell was sicken . Stay at another Hotel it wasn't cheap I am calling the health department ,better business bureau, Federal government I don't this he is up and up not to be able to find a reservation everyone I saw was paying cash.
The lie, how he kept lying is a scary person that does not have your best interests. Don't put you health in this persons hands
- 305traceyo (4/5): Biker trip - Perfect for my group of bikers.Roaches, a few, used condom and douche bottle left in a room yes. Sheets and towels however were awesome! Fluffiest pillows and comfortable beds. Ahmed was great he tried to keep us happy but then again who wouldn't?
- 834wt (2/5): In spite of all the charm, I wouldn't book for my wife or mom - Where do I begin? The dirty hand prints smudged across the recently patched walls, the poop on the toilet from the previous tenant, the brown water, the mold, the busted window, the flies buzzing about, the duct taped-AC unit that broke after three hours, the stained carpet, the exposed plumbing in the halls, the missing curtains, the bathroom fan hanging precariously from the ceiling with exposed wires? The place had all the charm of a classic mid-century roadhouse with a modern day price. I didn't expect much going in and the condition of the room exceeded my expectations in every way. I give it two thumbs up (with staph infection) for charm but no two thumbs down (dipped in disinfectant) for family & children. Book at your own peril. I will say this, if that brown water was sweet tea, the room is totally worth the sticker price but I didn't have the guts to test it out.
- B6980GIstevend (6/5): Needs work but comfortable and caring - My wife and I stayed here while attending a NASCAR race. The room was clean and had new carpet and all appliances worked. The bathroom was in much need of hew drywall and caulking but it was clean. Nothing extra here and they did raise there rates at race time but you will not beat the location to the track. The halls need carpet badly. The service was accommodating at the front desk but they did not change out towels every day but if you asked they gave you new ones. They do have plans for more improvements but only time will tell. They do have a continental breakfast.
- wendy4864 (4/5): Dump - This place is disgusting! Carpet throughout motel is stained, paint coming off the walls, wood on doors coming off, and spiders on the walls. The plastic cups wrapped in plastic were obviously rinsed out and put back as the cup we unwrapped was wet. Surprisingly the beds were clean and semi comfortable but you can tell the local crack heads stay here. We reserved two queen beds a month or longer in advance, when we arrived they didn't have two queens available so we took their offer of a King and a $10 discount. The room was very very small, my husband and I were constantly bumping into each other. We stayed here for the NASCAR race in Darlington. It works if you are just needing a place to lay your head before you head back home and want to stay close to the track.
