Verified traveler (8/5): Nice motel by the road. - The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The only issue was that you have to wait a few minutes for a hot water to start running when shower or wash your face. They have two types of cleaning services, which you choose (cleaner enters the room or leaves clean towels at your door, you'll just leave your towels and trash bags outside the room). As far as motels go, it is pretty decent. The staff is pretty friendly. The motel is right on the road and if you aren't feeling like driving to the village, you can catch the trolley (it is about 5 minutes ride). Parking is available, and they even have a small pool.

Well maintained outdoor pool with comfortable lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. The owner was very accommodating and super nice! Will definitely stay at this Inn again :)

There were a few nails sticking up a little on the back porch. Just be carful pulling in as the driveway is on a hill and you might scrape the front end of your car. Would stay again

The shower rod that holds up the curtain is falling out of the wall thought it would fall while showering. That might just be exclusive to this room I'm sure. Average place to stay for a night not any more.

Only thing is the light in front of the doors upstairs (we were upstairs so the door was in back of the building) was in way too late, and it kept the room lit up until after 1:00 AM, there is no way to turn it off from inside the room. Maybe turn them off around 10, 11:00 at the latest so we can get some sleep, but otherwise: a great place to stay

Verified traveler (4/5): - There was no playground area as stated in description and shown in their photos. Kids were bored to say the least. (We have a 8 yr old and a 2 yr old so playgrounds are one thing they can both agree on enjoying. This was a huge reason why we booked here) We later saw the yellow slide in the dumpster out back. There were several smeared dead bug/bug guts along the walls, a dead fly in the fridge and rugs were pretty filthy. The parking lot in the back for second story guests was far from a parking lot and more of a loose rock/patchy grass lot with no indicative markings of parking spots. It was quite a game of parking lot Tetris by the time our second night of stay rolled around, getting blocked in by other guests. Wrote in to Hotels.com to inform them of the misleading info on the description of the Inn On The Hill but they were less than helpful. Apparently there’s nothing you can do about getting mislead. Do your homework, folks!

When looking for a place to stay we decided to try this inn since it was much more reasonable than some other places. It’s very close to the Lake George village area, only a couple minute drive. Probably walkable though it would be a bit of a walk. I would consider staying here again in the future.
Krystie (10/5): - The stay was good if you don’t need any of the perks like breakfast or a indoor pool or heated pool for that matter. The place was clean and conveniently located next to the strip. The view is blocked by huge trees you can see a little. It rained almost every day so. The kids said the pool was extremely cold. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms up to date. Kind of questionable about the ventilation in the bathroom. It didn’t have one but a small window. Make sure you lock your slider window when you get there I didn’t know our was open and unlocked until bed time. The stay was good though.

The proprietress was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and provided great suggestions for eating and activities. Unfortuntately I ended up not feeling well and slept the weekend away. Comfortable bed as I said. We were able to get some fun in on our last day.

Fred (4/5): - There is good and not so good. For the very good: The staff we met were super nice and helpful. Clyde registered us and answered every question in detail and with patience. The advertising said there was housekeeping. Clyde and another lady picked up our used towels and trash daily and replaced them with clean towels and plastic bags. We had to leave our towels on the bench outside our room daily along with the trash and then we were left with the clean replacement towels and trash bags. It's not exactly what I would call housekeeping. We did not expect that our rooms would not be cleaned so be honest in your description. . The add said coffee. We had a coffee maker with no coffee or filters. The beds were awful. They sank in the middle. We had 2 rooms with 3 beds and tried each one and they were all the same. The rooms are old and in bad need of a painting which is ok unless you are paying $368.00 Canadian a night. The exterior as well is in need of repair. You are on a major thoroughfare with constant traffic which makes it unpleasant to sit on the balcony which you would expect to do in a tranquil mountain setting. There is absolutely nothing about that in the reviews so consider yourself warned. So noisy! The guests were quiet so at least there was that.

The outside could use some updating; but I believe they update as affordable as I have seen from reviews. The balcony room parking could be nicer if paved and parking spots marked. We did not use the pool; but it looked clean and well kept. Other than that, no complaints at all.
