• Doug (4/5): It's cheap but you get what you pay for - DirecTV would not stay connected to the service. Only one power plug on the night stand. I had to go buy a power strip. Toilet tank would not fill up unless I took the lid off and tap the top of the fill valve.

• Tiffany (1/5): Terrible…..in so many ways - The location was close to where we needed to be the following morning. The a/c was not working in the family suite we booked plus it was absolutely filthy with bugs in the fridge/freezer and all over the room. The floors had dust balls on them as if they weren’t vacuumed, and the shower was leaking and bugs were in the bathroom. We told the staff at the front we would not be staying in that room and we would be requesting a full refund for that room for 2 nights and would pay for the other room. They didn’t refund us, refused, and lied saying that’s not what we agreed on AFTER they agreed to it. We also booked a non smoking room with accessibility due to a knee injury, and they didn’t not even bother giving us a non-smoking room or an accessible accommodating room. Crappy service, lying staff, and motel won’t refund you money as they say they will. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.

• David (6/5): Budget stay, no major complain, one minor. - I noticed when signing the check-in card/agreement, there was a company name was on the customer line as opposed to my name. A point was made of asking if a morning invoice would be provided and the answer was yes. Returned key to front desk on check out and requested receipt which staff would not provide. Staff informed me since booking was thru hotels.com, they (hotels.com) would send receipt via email. Total misinformation, that's not the way it works. Requested a credit card charge receipt and was informed the receipt had been given at check-in. It had not. Attempted to reason with staff, they held firm and would not supply a receipt or invoice. This is not acceptable business practice.

• Joshua (9/5): Clean, Affordable, locally owned - Bent Tree is a hometown owned hotel. I have been using them for decades. They changed managers several years ago and he didn't understand that the Bent Tree is about making things affordable and nice for the people of Emory's families when they come into town. Since they have switched managers they stopped trying to compete with the other hotel(which I wish wasn't there as they are terrible to work with)and settled into what they do best. The give you piece of Emory at a affordable price. It's always clean, easy to access, A/Cs work, bathrooms are clean. It is my go to when I visit family. The only thing I would like to see is better showers. The water pressure was low(but this typically isn't a problem). Also a small upgrade in towels would be nice, but I also understand that many of the patrons of the bent tree are anglers and they misuse the towels making for them hard to clean or totally unusable afterwards. Other than those two very minor things I have zero issues with the Bent Tree.

• Verified traveler (2/5): The Party Hotel/ Management Looks the other Way - Well let's put it like this if you want to get sleep you might want to go some where else, but if you like to party all night and get loud with a bunch of coworkers or friends this is the place that don't mind that kinda behavior. You can play loud music and have a good time at the Bent Tree. But if you suffer from anxiety then you may want to stay far away, it's not the room or the service or the cleanliness they are spot on with that. Very clean very polite, at the front desk. Also there is one huge pot hole at the front watch out for that. Other than the party that they allow to go on right next door and in front of your room. You may want to take a pic of your room and window when you first get there and record anything that may come back and you get blamed for, like a break and crack in a window. So who pays for it? Of course the one that rents the room to the broken window. They wouldn't possibly think anyone else could have done it. But when they threaten to call police and press charges you have no choice. Don't call police on the disturbance. Hell I wouldn't either retaliation is not something to sign up for so being they have our name address license plate and phone number we have to pay for it otherwise they can say and do it give our info to who ever they want they are not from here by the way you can't understand half the words they say. Other than all that Yeah it's a great place to stay one night I wouldn't recommend 2 nights. We stayed 1 to many nights
• Kacie (9/5): Love the area, price, privacy! - Loved that they allow pets, offer local menu's and attractions in each room, clean, more private rooms, VERY kind staff. The drive is rough, I drive a mid size SUV and had a hard time going in and out in a couple areas, def would not recommend for a small car or SUV, but definitely seems like it could be an easy fix on the owners part.

The shower kept going cold in the middle of a shower...it also seem like the shower head needed to be clean inside for lime scale build up...or maybe they have a water miser on it..also toilet was not flushing appropriately...

The jacuzzi in the Family suite was amazing and can fit 2 people. The apartment was pretty big. Larger than you would expect in a motel. I really enjoyed our stay and will visit again. Very peaceful and quiet. Amazing place. Couches in living room were dated but had very clean well kept cover that took care of it quite well.

• Krista (9/5): Superb - Super nice staff and very clean. Very quiet and conveniently located. Definitely an older property that could use a few upgrades in the shower and window coverings. The shower nozzle was best installed for someone under 4’ tall. The blinds n the window offered no privacy and we could clearly see everything outside which would apply to the reverse.

• Garry (8/5): - The Bent Tree was located right where we needed to be, the front office staff were friendly and helpful. Our room definitely needed some maintenance. The sink faucet was loose on the sink, so when you would turn on the water, the entire faucet swiveled. The shower head was only about 5' high, and the diverter would not fully shut off the tub spout so you only got about half pressure. The rooms definitely need room-darking curtains as the plastic mini-blinds don't keep out much light. But with all that we slept very well, and would consider them again if in the area.

• Jennifer (7/5): Great Place for the Price - Safe, Clean - Friendly staff, sparkling clean room, the area felt safe. It was good for the price. We'd stay there again. We love having access to a microwave and fridge with freezer. We travel with food from home. It's also really nice to be able to park right in front of your hotel room door. There was no warm water, but we were told that upon arrival (we made a last-minute reservation that morning). They offered a refund, but we didn't have time to find another hotel. It was fine. With 100° degree weather out, a cool shower was welcome. We had a drippy tub faucet, but it wasn't a problem. We just closed the bathroom door. There are blinds, but no curtains to block the security lights outdoors from lighting up the room. Bring a sleep mask if needed.

• Susan (10/5): Great getaway in Emory - We rented the family suite. While it could do with some updating, the suite was incredibly spacious. It was clean and tidy, offering a nice living area for a good sized group to visit and catch up. There is a very handy kitchenette with a full size fridge along with two large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Both bedrooms were very very very spacious. I am confident we will stay here again and again for family gatherings.

• david (10/5): - My buddy and I had a guided fishing trip Wed. morning at 7:00 on lake Tawakoni. We decided we would get a room close to the lake. We both got a good nights sleep and made it to the lake in plenty of time. The room was clean and quite---the only bad thing was their road is in really bad shape.

• Verified traveler (4/5): An okay place to stay for one night - The young girl in the front office was very friendly and polite. She was the highlight. The room was a room. It was very run down. The blankets were thin and the towels were like something that you have in a rag pile for cleaning with. The tile floor was sticky in places as if it had not been cleaned. The baseboards had dirt literally piled on them, I don't think they have ever been cleaned. The lamp didn't work. There was a sketchy man that appeared homeless sitting outside of my mother in laws room most of the night. Other than that, it was quiet. The field next door had a lot of wildflowers. If you aren't too picky it is a fine place to stay overnight.

I travel for work so i usually dont get there till late afternoo/early evening. And i leave out early in the morning. The price not bad for no longer than I'm there. The staff is always friendly. The young man who checked me in this time especially so. I'll be back in the area in a couple of weeks and this is where I'll stay. There wasn't anything I really didn't like.

• Brenda (8/5): 2024 Solar Eclipse Adventure - We arrived on the 7th of April for the solar eclipse. We stayed two nights. The young lady at the check in window was extremely friendly and welcoming. Very simple process. Ice machine is in the office area. The rooms are in a block of 8 units, 4 on each side. It was parking at the door. Great!!!! It is very simple, clean and comfortable beds. The bedding linens are very dated but clean. The unit is clean just very dated.The shower heads are in need of replacement. They provided small coffee maker (with coffee), small refrigerator, microwave, tv, table and two chairs and all the bathroom products. The employees were walking around and very visable, so felt very safe and comfortable in our surroundings. They offered several picnic tables. Again it is very plain but for what we needed it was fine. We had our lawn chairs and just sat outside to have our glass of wine in the evening. The motel is close to everything!!!! Would stay again if ever in that area.

Very convenient to restaurants , etc. The only real concern was that i was unable to use my $50 Hotel.com card. I booked thru Hotel.com and thought i would be able to use the card as part of the payment. Card is active with $50 still on card. ??
