Guest Reviews
- Pete (10/5): - Very nice place. Not a chain and it showed in the very cool decor that they have cultivated over the years. Staff was new, but she was awesome. Very personable. Would definitely stay again next time I am in the area
- Dawn (10/5): - Look and style
- stephenie (10/5): - Beautiful establishment. Excellent staff. The entrance in the back was a little uneven but had a nice patio. Loved our stay
- Charlotte (10/5): - It was just what we had hoped for, quaint, quiet and historic. Our bonus was the friendly , helpful staff. Suggestions of places to try for food was awesome. Our accommodations were very comfortable, left with thoughts of returning sometime!

- Arlo (6/5): Best employee award for Monika - Monika, at the desk, was the highlight of stay, getting to chat with her and learn about her experiences and plan. She made the stay enjoyable with her hospitality and helpfulness.
- Fredricka (10/5): - We have stayed here years ago and had fond memories of it. The staff are so friendly and informed. They represent you and the lovely property well.
- John (10/5): - Comfortable room. Too much disinfectant smell that didn’t disappear after several hours.
- paul (10/5): A nice stay - Very nice, very friendly and quaint. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Its older but very clean and safe. A nice stay. Would stay again. Really close to the Headwaters of the Missouri state park. A short drive to Bridger brewing whick was also great.
- Pamela (10/5): - It was nice being a couple of blocks out of the center of the little town. It was beautiful weather and we sat out on the patio/porch in front of our room at a small table with two chairs and enjoyed a snack and a drink.
- Flyer11207115106 (2/5): A ripoff motel. - They gouged us on price.we paid $280 plus taxes for a low end motel.A very nice intern runs the place.Room air is managed by the font desk, king bed has only 1 reading lamp, an empty fridge runs all night. The king room is very small and dated but clean.
- Christopher (8/5): - Small, a little dated but everything you need, very clean, staff was great. B/B

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean and decorated nicely. Size of room was small. Cost of room was high compared to accomodations. Breakfast very limited, no hot food. People running hotel were very friendly and hospitable.

- William (10/5): - Best little hotel, great town, no frills but bed is soft and great little rooms. You will love it.
- Kenneth (10/5): - We travel a lot by motorcycle in the USA this an Awesome motel in small town Montana ….. has to be the softest bed we’ve had in a motel i need to find out who the mattress maker is , close to places to eat plus off sale beer and wine and snacks in the lobby ….. its not cheap but you get what you pay for !
- Joseph (10/5): - Beautiful quaint place. Would stay again
- Lori (10/5): Fantastic - Loved the hotel clean and friendly
- Jesse (8/5): - Was just passing through so it’s a super convenient location with easy parking. The 24 hour front desk is very nice and the staff was pleasant, even at 2 AM.
- Laurir (8/5): - Front desk hostess was really friendly and helpful.
- Wes (10/5): GREAT STAY! - Charming. Old-School layout, friendliness, and location.
I loved it.
- Joanne (10/5): - We had a one night stay, wish it had been longer. Such a charming place, room was beautiful, clean and cozy, grab and go breakfast was great. They had a lot of games and books in the common area but we didn’t have the time to check them out. Staff was very friendly.
- Jean (8/5): - Our check in with Monica was the absolute BEST. She went above & beyond to accommodate us!!
- Peter (10/5): - Lovely staff. Many amenities
- Ann (10/5): Good - Very very nice. Clean & quiet, great young lady at front desk! She was beyond friendly. Entire hotel quaint setting, loved it there!
- Cecelia S (10/5): Pleasant passing through - Clean, funky and historic. Warm on a cold day. Rooms small but comfy. Common areas spacious and welcoming. Manager outstanding.
Need more hooks to hang things like wet towels and extra jackets.
- Luke (10/5): - Perfect place to spend the night. Got in late and they took great care of us. Would definitely stay again.
- Travel806028 (6/5): Overpriced for what you get - Check-in was friendly and helpful. The motel looks inviting from the outside, but the room looked dingy and outdated. The bed was comfortable. The AC was decent but loud. The room and bathroom were well lit. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge with separate freezer compartment. The small bathroom had a stained sink and almost no counter space. There was nowhere to hang a towel. The shower head was good. Breakfast was unimpressive, with snacky food like energy bars and yogurt. It was not worth $200 per night!
- Christopher (10/5): - We didnt arrive until 2am but they were ready for us. Very friendly and accommodating
- Sue (8/5): - The staff were lovely and the room clean but small. It’s definitely a hotel
With character. The only con which was big for me was that our room had no air conditioner. It was in the room but they had a note on it to do not use since it has been winterized. Well the room was hot. We opened the sliding down but the hotel is on Main Street and semi trucks were traveling on it all night the ceiling fan was of little value
- Craig (6/5): - Very small room. Outlets next to the bed would've been nice.
- Linda May (10/5): - Na
- Jason (10/5): - Staff were so friendly. Hotel was charming and unique. Only complaint was thin walls (sound Carrie’s) but we’ll definitely stay there again.
- 61guss (8/5): charming and spotless - I stayed one night on a cross country trip. My room was in the annex, which was great you can park and unload in front of your door. the room was SPOTLESS, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. New carpet, thick towels and a very comfortable bed. Nice table and chair in front of the room was a great place to relax. They allow dogs which I appreciate and try to leave the room with no sign of an animal having been there. only reason it's not 5 star is you can hear the room next door and the occupants were up and down throughout the night using the bathroom and it work me up every time. Otherwise great spot. and good pie restaurant down a few blocks
- Foamergirl (6/5): What Welcome Wine? - Lovely owners and a unique historic motel. Clearly much effort has been taken to add special love and touches to this place!
I had read in several reviews that guests are offered a complimentary glass of wine at check-in. We were not and I’d been looking forward to that special greeting. I should’ve asked about it but I’m just not the type to do that.
Our room upstairs in historic section was way too small to be comfortable and I’m not a large person. Next time I’d choose to stay in the newer section where you park in front of the room. Loved the balcony though so it was a trade-off.
When one of the two coffee dispensers empties in the breakfast area, don’t wait for both to empty before filling the first…..says the coffeeholic.
I’d stay here again. The hosts truly care.
- Thomas (10/5): Didn't expect this gem - Wow! What an unexpected gem! The hotel is an old depot that was relocated. The receptions was fantastic. Super nice people. The room was small but had everything I needed. It featured a balcony that was great. The gathering place was wonderful, full of antiques and other western novelties. They had snacks and beer available. I enjoyed my night. Thank you!
- Sean (10/5): - quaint and very nice owners/managers. i will be back
- Michael (10/5): - The hotel was unique, clean, and the staff were wonderful!
- Steve (10/5): - Very charming and comfortable. Safe and clean. Would stay again.
- Robert (10/5): Nice comfortable Inn - Really nice place with a lot of history. The staff was excellent and really went out if their way to be accomodating. Really enjoyed our stay.
- susan (10/5): - It was the cutest and cleanest motel I’ve ever been in! There were so many things to look at and it was such a Montana old town nostalgic place!
- Deirdre (10/5): - Great location. Julie the innkeeper is amazing. She welcomes you like family and is a fabulous resource for all things to do locally. Restaurants and bars are walkable followed by a nightcap by the water feature at the front of the hotel.
- yg (10/5): - Yo this place… amazing. Best hotel in so many ways. Seriously just go it is worth. Get an ice cream sandwich from front desk or 2
- Sandra (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings and charming town added to the fun of staying at this historical resort. A nice place to relax.
- John (6/5): - Nice Hotel off the beaten path...probably doesn't get the volume of stays it needs.
- James (10/5): - The owners were great and the room was spotless and very well decorated. Top notch!
- Christine M (10/5): - It was comfortable, clean, had small refrigerators in each room and balconies to sit outside and enjoy the weather.
- John (10/5): - Friendly, quirky, large but cozy lobby full of interesting stuff. Beautiful landscaping.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Can't recommend - Room was clean. Very old bathroom fixtures. Broken floor tile. Room next door was extremely loud fighting until 5 in the morning.
- Christopher (8/5): - Property is a lil dated but still nice. I haven’t gotten an actual key for hotel room in years!! Lol. Staff was very nice and friendly. If I had any complaints it would be that hotel was a bit pricey. If you stay here you definitely need to eat at Iron Horse Cafe up the street. Great home town comfort food.
- Gina (10/5): - Beautiful and very peaceful property with extremely friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable. Nice grab-and-go breakfast with a good variety of choices from yogurt to granola bars to fruit.
- Kenneth (8/5): My stay in Three Forks, Montana - The room was small and quite dated, but for what I needed, the room was entirely adequate. Everything was clean, and the person in charge anticipated my arrival and had everything ready for me.
The room wasn’t a Homewood suites, but neither was it a Motel 6. I was satisfied with the room.
- Catherine (10/5): We loved our stay here! - We loved staying here! The Inn was wonderful, decorated so beautifully, very comfortable, the breakfast rooms were awesome, decorated as an old fashioned cafe, the location was ideal for us, and Julie was lovely! We will stay here again if we come to Three Forks again!
- Patricia A (10/5): - Older hotel but well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- jenniferr538 (10/5): Clean, cozy and the BEST customer service! - This place was great! When we travel we usually stay in bigger chains and to be honest that us what we were looking for but we ended up at Lewis & Clark and it was so much better! Super friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms (the beds are the best!), they were able to accommodate our last minute pet request and there were so many little extras to make it extra special (a fully stocked board game collection, ice cream counter, complimentary light breakfast and a really great selection of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Plus it is always nice to support a family business and dream. We were very happy with everything about our stay!
- Diane (10/5): Lewis and Clark Motel - Very well kept and clean. Liked the convenience of parking in front of the door, no stairs or elevator to deal with.
- Prasannata (8/5): - Staff was friendly & welcoming! Very informative about the interesting history of the hotel! And shared a good nearby place to eat!
- Anthony (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again
- Carrie (10/5): - Absolutely love this place. Amazing staff
- Robert (8/5): Extremely Clean rooms - The room was wonderful and extremely clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful and quaint! - This motel is absolutely lovely. The staff was helpful, friendly and made me feel welcome. They even accommodated my request for early check-in. The room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable and wi-fi worked great. Would love to stay here again.
- Stephen (10/5): - A cool hotel. Being on the 2nd floor afforded us with a balcony overlooking the street and the color of the sunset. It also gave us a serious set of steps to get to & from the room.
- Deanna (10/5): - Stay was amazing! Hosts are awesome people. Motel is very well kept, alive with history. We loved our stay. A very “at home feel”.
- mariette (10/5): - Great small hotel
- 727colleenh (6/5): Nice old motel. Good atmosphere. - The motel is in a good location at the edge of town. It is from the 60's. The AC is a window unit. The bed was very very soft. Only one couple runs the place. Clean but old. There is no clock in the room. Breakfast is grab n go. Just ok - a little too designer. Way too expensive for what you get.
- Elvira (8/5): - Spacious rooms and cute ambience…friendly staff!
- Alan (8/5): - Courteous staff and clean. The main building is an old railroad building built to serve the conductors and RR personnel. The rooms are small but comfortable and have what you need for a nights stay. The building is decorated nicely and have a cool set up for lounging in the lobby or having a quick breakfast snack.
- Gary (10/5): - The staff was really helpful. It was a really cool homey classic place; quaint and enjoyable
- CHRIS (10/5): - The history of the place, wonderful inn keepers, well maintained
- Mitch (10/5): - Everything was great
- Dalene (10/5): Perfect find - Love this historic hotel, very comfortable, clean, nice location, very friendly staff!
- Mica (10/5): Quaint historical hotel - Quaint, old-fashioned, historic hotel in a little town outside of Bozeman, but near the airport. Town has several really good restaurants. Check-in and check-out were quick and personal. Staff very friendly and makes you feel special. Our room was on second floor above lobby. It was small and the floors in the hallway creak but that was part of the charm. They still use actual keys for the room. We felt so safe we slept with the sliding glass door open to the balcony.
- David (6/5): - The property and staff were good, but there were 20 steps to the second floor, and no elevator. The room was very small, and not good for 2 people.
- Donald (10/5): - Hometown friendly
- Sebert (8/5): - Ground level room'
- Fredonna (10/5): Like coming home - The Lewis and Clark is such a cozy, homey spot! I’m so glad I chose to stay here in Three Forks instead of in Bozeman!
- Lauri (10/5): - Quirky and convenient and NOT a big box motel. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
- Kellie (10/5): - Historic unique property
- Hawyun (10/5): - Perfect for a quick stay!
- Fernanda (10/5): Hidden Gem - This establishment is like a Hidden Gem! From the moment we walked in nothing but exceptional service. The property was cozy and quaint. One of the cutest hotels I have ever stayed in. My only complaint, would be the bed seem rather old and broke down.
- Charles (10/5): - Loved our stay! It was a quaint, peaceful time.
- Alisa (10/5): - This place is so cute. I absolutely loved it.
- Scott (4/5): - The check in person left something to be desired
- Debbie (8/5): - Friendly service. Left little treats for us.
- Frank (10/5): - Older property but very clean and well kept. No issues, will stay again
- Linda May (10/5): - N/a
