- robynforde (10/5): Fab location, fab staff - Spent a few nights here, amazing location right in the centre of the town. Restaurants dotted along the road so don’t need to travel far. The staff were very helpful with advising walks and paths. Special thanks to Katia who was very welcoming and organised a lovely room to accommodate our 2 dogs! Will definitely be going here again 😊

Spa dell’hotel essenziale (come è giusto che sia) ma molto molto curata. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene, se dovessi tornare a dormire a Livigno tornerò sicuramente da voi. Consigliatissimo.

Terme chiuse nonostante sul sito le danno sempre aperte , ma evidentemente essendo bassa stagione non hanno convenienza ad aprirle. Però per correttezza dovrebbero segnalarlo . Pulizia e camera ok . Ci vorrebbe miglior accoglienza anche nei periodi di bassa stagione .

La SPA è molto bella e ben attrezzata, così come la palestra, ha molte macchine utilizzabili dai clienti. L'unico neo della nostra esperienza è che Expedia indica il check in dalle 13:00 mentre l'Hotel lo effettua dalle 16:00...

- 211magdap (10/5): Very pleasant stay! - We visited Livigno in February this year,and decided to stay at Steinbock Hotel this time.The location is amazing,just walk down the street for few minutes and you in the heart of this beautiful place. We’ve been welcoming with the smile and helpful person called Daniel-he’s a credit for the owners! Rooms are clean and warm,breakfast continental,with lots of choices for everyone,juices,water and the coffee. Was a perfect stay for us,definitely recommend and look forward for next year with You:)! Thank you for your hospitality:)!
- Fabrizio (8/5): Bella sciata e shopping a - 15° - Buona la posizione dell'hotel,vicino all'isola pedonale e comoda x la navetta che porta agli impianti. Buona anche la prima colazione. La camera non mi è sembrata gran ch'è ma la cosa che mi dato più fastidio è stato dover passare sulle scale ,davanti alla hall con una salvietta addosso e scendere fino al -2 con solo una salvietta addosso x accedere al centro benessere tra l'altro di ottima accoglienza. Mancando l'ascensore mi sembrava obbligo fornire gli ospiti,anche a pagamento, di un dignitoso accapatoio.

We could book for one night which was great but this is why we can't comment on the staff or anything else. We came really late and they didn't mind leaving the keys for us. Good hotel.

- Giandomenico (6/5): Standard hotel near down town - Management it is interested on money only! The guy (owner) at the reception, was rather ruder. Be carefully! Check in it is up to 08:30 PM only, after 08:30 PM the main door of the hotel it is closed, nobody will attend you!
- jmce13 (6/5): Great Location - Having been to Livigno on a few occasions, we took the kids this time, aged 4, 6 and 8. We were given adjacent rooms each with a double/twin and sofa bed, so there was plenty of room, wardrobe space and the ensuite bathrooms were clean, but one was slightly on the smaller side, but manageable. The rooms were very clean, but well worn in. The rooms were well serviced during our stay. Breakfast was continental and good most days, but some mornings the offerings were scant. However, when I asked for more ham/juice it was brought. In comparison to other locations we have stayed in in Livigno, I'd say this had the least appealing breakfast spread. We did not use the wellness facilities, so we can't comment on them. I don't think the hotel offers dinner there any more, but there was an impressive patisserie counter that would greatly appeal to anyone with a sweet tooth. The hosts, whilst not being exactly rude, were also not that welcoming.
- Shops93 (8/5): Residence Steinbock - We rented the residence underneath hotel Steinbock for 2 weeks in Dec. Couldnt find info on it as its new, so hope this helps. The residence isnt rented by the hotel, but by Livigno Accommodations. You need to go to the tourist office behind hotel St Michael at the end of town to check in. All up, it was lovely! The hotel staff were very helpful and the apartment was very clean. Note that it is entirely self catered. Location was great- 10 min walk into town, and a bus stop 1 minute away. We happily walked to the ski areas anyway- no problems. Sometimes gets noisy with the hotel above but quiets down around 9pm. It was a great home away from home!

- ElenaNW87RL (10/5): Lovely tea room - Delicious home made pastries, brioches and cakes, perhaps the best crema cotta in Livigno, most enjoyable. Seasonal specialities like panettone and colomba are not to be missed really... and so the ice cream counter, absolutely fabulous.
- COOLEYBLUE (10/5): Italian Alps Skiing Holiday Steinbock Hotel - For all you need in this 'away from it all' resort after a day's skiing a friendly, modern hotel with a fantastic wellness centre and gym to relax in the evenings and no stone unturned to help you enjoy your break - we will definitely be back !!!
- LelleSwede (8/5): Really nice rooms and good genuine food! - I have been visiting Livigno for the last thirty years now, both summer as winter. I really enjoy this little village, with small restaurants and hotels. The development of Livigno had been with really care of the genuine village style, during the years and new restaurants grow up here and there. But there is only one restaurant, combined with a nice hotel and bakery, where the food had been the same genuine and tasteful. Now I'm talking about Hotel and Restaurant Steinbock, with really service minded staff, really good food and don't mention the patisseries. Every time I visit Livigno, I always have to take my family to Steinbock, for some really good dinners. I never been disappointed so far.
- LindsayCoventry (8/5): Great location, friendly staff - We stayed at the Hotel Steinbock this summer. The rooms are basic but clean and the staff we found were very very friendly. We went half board and the choice of food was very good - too much! The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel was great for the lifts and central to the shops and bars. We took the chair lift up the carousselo and hired bikes to getto the cafe beside the lake. Lovely.
- DUB1149 (8/5): Very enjoyable - I stayed here on a week's skiing holiday at the end of January and I was delighted. The hotel is situated in a very central area close to the Ski School and also close to the pedestrian area. It is a small hotel and on arrrival, we got a very warm welcome from the owner and staff. Our twin room on the first floor was tastefully decorated and from it's balcony we had a spectacular view of the valley. The restaurant is the highlight of this hotel and both the quality and extent of the menu was impressive and contrary to other reports we found the level of service to be of a high standard. It was also evident that the restaurant was very popular with non residents. When travelling to Livigno again, I would have no hesitation to select this hotel.
- GrandTour13783 (2/5): Very disappointing - I chose this hotel as it was recommended by direct ski but I was very disappointed. Usually I wouldn't go half board but according to direct ski this place was supposed to have great food. I regret this decision as the staff were rude (they either completely ignored us or else one stood at each end of the table they had a loud conversation over our heads!), the service was painfully slow and the food was much nicer elsewhere. Steinbock had already been paid so they seemed to do their best to ensure that we wouldn't eat there... It was a much more expensive holiday than expected as I ended up eating out every night.
- Scenic36140 (2/5): Unfriendly... - The service in this hotel is unbelievably bad! If you can't find anywhere else to book then at least don't go for half-board if you can help it. We stayed there for a week (8 people) and we got the impression that the staff were told to be as rude as possible so that we wouldn't eat at the hotel (food we had already paid for!). The food itself was adequate (if you actually got what you ordered) but was a far cry from "... fast gaining a reputation for great food." as stated by directski. The general atmosphere of the staff ranged from indifferent to outright rudeness (barging past us to pick up glasses at our table). And don't think about complaining to them directly unless you want a shouting match! Thoroughly awful. AVOID.
