- MelanieT41 (10/5): Harbourside charm - Rock House Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore Harbour Island. I stayed in the Bougainvillea room, which is cool and spacious, with a huge bed and lovely shower. Henry and his team are consistently kind and welcoming and provide superlative service. The dinners I ate at Rock House were the most enjoyable meals I had during 8 nights in Harbour Island. Do not miss the blackened grouper or the lobster tail. Service at the beach is equally attentive. The modesty of Mrs V's beach hut belies the quality of the food and drink she provides. Her cocktails are made with real fruit juice and pack a definite punch and her burgers are freshly cooked and come with a delicious salad. Her grouper burger was better than any you might find further down the beach - at twice the cost.
- FLgirl222 (6/5): 3 Star Resort - We stayed at Rock House for 5 nights. We are a very well traveled middle age couple and found this resort to be a 3 star, at best, resort. The resort is a short walk from ferry terminal, but up a very steep flight of stairs. Thankfully, we rented a golf cart on our own after reading reviews of Harbor Island. The resort, while close, is not near the beach. It's a short ride or very long walk away. Unfortunately, while we were there the Atlantic was very rough and not safe to swim. I made all my dinner reservations on my own prior to our arrival. By oversight I had forgotten a dinner reservation for one evening and trying to get a reservation at the resort's restaurant was not easy and had to take a 5:30. I wish they had requested you make all reservations beforehand or mention guests do not have preferential dinner time reservations. It would be nice to have some overview how this works. The dinners were very good and our waiters were always friendly and pleasant. During breakfast there was only one woman working and she was hustling to have the continental breakfast/coffee counter filled and take/serve seated customer's orders. Our breakfast took forever so we preferred the marina restaurant down the road. The pool closes at 5 to set up for dinner so we were disappointed about not having anywhere to hang out after the beach. The cabana by your room is overrun with mosquitos. The bartenders, in the evening, were the best employees we encountered. Very friendly and made the best drinks. We ventured off property to several properties. We really enjoyed Coral Sands and their beach bar during the days. Rock House has live music one night of the week and we really enjoyed that evening. The female singer was great. I wish they had had entertainment more than one evening. Some of the employees looked annoyed when we tried to get directions to several places on the island. Maybe a printed map of the island would help alleviate that problem. Having travelled the entire Caribbean we have experienced so many other properties worthy of this price point on other islands.

- lorisL8136AV (10/5): 10/10!!!!! - I was in search of splendor and solitude and scrumptious food - the accommodations at The Rock House did not disappoint! Firstly this iconic hotel has a rich and storied history. The current owners and managing owners Henry and Teynarae and superb. I stayed in the Rock House Villa. The villa was beautifully decorated by the exceptional interior decorator Trish Becker. From the kitchen to the master bedroom to the upstairs terrace and three bedrooms, it was inviting and no detail unnoticed. I loved the Molton Brown toiletries, the Matouk linens and towels - everything was pristine. Now the restaurant… Where do I begin… from the lobster to the amazingly delicates season boiled fish soup! Simply perfection. I would highly recommend staying here / dining here - particularly in the newly renovated villa. An incredible stay and experience, with top notch staff. Thank you to the Rock House team!

Central location near the dock, you don't really need a golf cart every day even though most people get one. The beach setup and staff were great too.
- KikiJamaicanTraveler (6/5): Average at best - We stayed in the plumeria suite mid June. We enjoyed the natural light and the suite was roomy. The weather was rainy our entire stay, so we ended up staying in most of our trip. For the most part, nothing spectacular about the visit or the service. Additionally, due to weather delays, and cancelled flight we got there 1 day later than our reservation. We were in touch with the hotel throughout the process, and were told we'd get a credit for the night. Once onsite, they said it would be taken care of on settling the bill. And after we left, the tune changed to "we will not be able to issue a credit". I find this to be a really bad sign of hospitality due to the remoteness of the location and not having an ability to get there with inclement weather. The fact that they delayed telling us this until we left soured the trip for me, and left me with an overall negative impression. Pros: -Turn down service brings a pitcher of water every night -Great water pressure in the bathroom -Staff always greets you as you enter and leave -The food at the restaurant is great (Reservations required) Cons: -Balcony is unusable - tons of mosquitoes, and they don't provide any candles or anything to help mitigate that -Tons of flies in the restaurant during dinner time -Breakfast service never started on time (30 mins - 1 hour later than stated time) -Drinks are pricey, and very weak
- VIVIAN (10/5): - Everything about the Rock House is wonderful but the best thing about the Rock House is the staff. They felt like family. They knew us by name and they were so friendly and constantly working on keeping the place clean and nice. The Restaurant was wonderful too. Our server Matt was so friendly. We cannot wait to return.

- A4769CArobertc (10/5): The Best on Harbour Island - I returned for another bone fishing trip to Harbour Island and stayed at the Rock House again. Henry and his team never disappoint. Their hospitality is always first rate. They cannot do enough to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. They are outstanding hosts, every person there. I completely enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning next year. Thank you, Henry, and the whole staff at the Rock House.

We used to come as a couple before having kids and now we brought our two sons (new owners now allow kids) and we all enjoyed the hospitality. It's a short golf cart ride from the beach and you have great views from the lobby of the harbor.
- Patricia (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Rock House. I’ve been trying to get reservations for a while and was not disappointed. We had a very large suite with a big patio overlooked the bay and nightly sunsets. Their beach was a short cart ride away and everything we needed was provided at the site. The best part of our stay was the staff, especially Romanada. She was so helpful with information about the Island. It was our first time to visit Harbour Island and we plan to return to the Rock House
- Francisco (10/5): - We loved our stay at The Rock House. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Hotel is lovely and location is great! Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and marinas. Just a short drive in golf cart or walk to Pink Sands Beach. Hotel has designated area at Pink Sands Beach for guests with lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is an attendant at the beach ready to take your order of drinks/food and you can conveniently charge your order to your room. Dinner at the hotel was delicious and Saturday evenings at the courtyard they have live music. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, would recommend The Rock House to friends and look forward to returning.

They make you feel incredibly welcome, as if you are invited to stay in their home, which in many ways is the point. They raise the bar for hospitality not just for Bahamas resorts, but for any get-away vacation. The setting, the dining and the staff are all first-rate Thank you for making my time there so enjoyable. I will definitely return. P.S. Please do not use Silver Air to fly to the Eleuthera. That was my one mistake.
- Eperrone (10/5): A truly special place! - This is truly a special place. A charming Bahamian traditional house with incredible bay views, this boutique hotel has it all. Genuine, attentive and great staff making everything possible for a special stay. We stayed at the plumeria room, much more spacious than the pictures, with views of the bay. The bar and restaurant has a great vibe and energy and most probably the best food and cocktails in the island. The pinks sands is a 5min walk with dedicated chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests and Susie Q is the best in taking care of everyone. This is a unique spot and for sure we’ll come back!
- Bookhamhoise (10/5): Ticked all the boxes - We have just completed a fantastic 5 night vacation at The Rock House hotel. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the location and design of the building and rooms to the private area on pink sands beach plus all the really friendly staff and the great food and drink made it a really memorable stay. I would defiantly recommend Rock House to both stay and have dinner sitting under the stars around the lovely swimming pool. We will miss everything about Rock House and Harbour Island when back in the cold and wet UK. Also a big thank you to Henry (manager) who looked after us so well both before and during our visit.

Food at the beach was the best we tried in the surroudings for lunch. At the holel, great and adorable staff, were very helpful and accomodating. Made our stay exceptional !

We didn’t have a reservation but was still able to get a table for two. We tried the lobster bisque, the octopus, the mushroom glazed pork chop, conch mac-n-cheese, and a lobster pasta dish with rum cake for dessert.

The decor, the warmth, the hospitality, the amazing bed and the food! Suzanne provided the best beach service that I've ever had. Upon arrival we were greeted by Henry and promptly escorted to the Cana Lilly suite. The hotel is the perfect combination of sophistication and relaxed elegance. - 624beckyr (10/5): Best staff ever! - My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Rock House, splurging with a full week’s stay. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Everyone from Romanda at the front desk to Suzanne who made sure every single need was met at the beach and pool and even the smiling housekeepers who made sure our room was spotless, they ALL made this a trip of a lifetime. The rooms are incredible with quality in every detail. The sheets are amazing. The mattress was perfect. (We’ve never slept so good on a vacation.) And the amenities! We are now obsessed with Molton Brown toiletries. We’re going to be buying them just to remind us of our trip to Rock House. But there’s more!! We arrived to a chilled bottle of champagne and a hand written card for our anniversary AND on the actual day, they had the gardener cut us a fresh bouquet of flowers straight from the lush grounds themselves. A side note. Along with the flowers they brought me some fresh cut aloe because they noticed I had a sunburn. At our dinner that night, they decorated our table with sparkle dots and ended the amazing meal with a dessert complete with a huge sparkler. The view at Rock House is without question one of the best spots on the island. Several mornings we took advantage of the continental breakfast, served at any table you desire. Cloth napkins, beautiful dishes, and rich robust coffee, homemade muffins, various fresh fruits and juice. The thing that really made the biggest impression was the daily housekeeping and nightly turn down service. Who does that anymore!! Oh and towels! The thickest towels we’ve ever had at any hotel. plus robes and slippers of course. All in all if we could give Rock House six stars it would be well deserved. Henry, the owner, was a delight but rather busy caring for his wife who gave birth to a baby boy the day after we arrived. He’s a first class gentleman and runs this place with excellence. We obviously would recommend the Rock House to anyone who wants to get some rest, relaxation, and be spoiled every single minute. You add to this the pink sand beaches…yes it’s true, the fun of beebopping all over the island with a golf cart, definitely worth it, and the nightly dinners available all over the island, you simply MUST experience Harbour Island but only if you stay at the Rock House. - CaryCBHM (10/5): Grouper is the best! - Best meal on the island! The grouper dish was fantastic! All of the staff seemed happy to be there ( which is different from other places) and enjoyed interacting with the people who were dining. I would recommend making your reservation so you can view the sunset!
- brad_gioia (6/5): Overpriced, not a vacation, and poorly advertised. - Our room - Yellow elder - was awful. It was next to the kitchen, the restaurant, and the lobby. We asked kindly to be moved, but they quoted us an 80% increase. I have never had a worse room, especially for almost $600 per night. The staff were pleasant and helpful, But we will never return!
- H1653CSronf (10/5): Great Full Service Boutique Hotel - Cozy room, great dining, easy access to magnificent beach. Loved dinner and breakfast by the pool or overlooking the harbor. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs or requests. Especially like food, beverage and towel services at the beach. Our room provided a super comfortable king bed along with high quality sheets and towels. Great place to rest.
