• Penny (9/5): Relaxed and looked after - A lovely friendly hotel with amazing staff. We felt comfortable and looked after from the moment we arrived. The hotel was spotless, the bedroom well proportioned and clean and the little extras made it all the more special. The location was also perfect for exploring the city. Nothing springs to mind

Only 8 rooms so no constant noise from large hotel chains with guests, noisy corridors, doors slamming etc. Room was extremely warm. I know due to the age of the building there is no air conditioning, however a fan could be available.

• Melissa Chiella (10/5): Fabulous - This hotel is absolutely amazing. Location is just on the outskirts of all the busy areas so it's a nice walk into the downtown. All the amenities are lovely in the room. The dyson hairdryer is an amazing touch! All of the lotions and bath products are great brands. The espresso machine is great too. Nice spacious rooms High ceilings feels like you're in a high class brownstone. Will definitely stay again. Lovely bar and restaurant downstairs. 👌 Nothing.
• Susan (10/5): Excellent place to stay would definitely recommend. - We ate breakfast elsewhere but the location is perfect. Near train station and tram stop. Also close to the playhouse where we were seeing a show. There are a lot if stairs as mentioned in their advert, but our cases were taken up for us so this should not put off the able bodied.
• Liam (10/5): Clean and cosy stay in the heart of Edinburgh - The hotel is cosy and clean. We were in Edinburgh for my wife’s graduation, and the hotel staff left a card and a gift in the room for her, really nice touch. The hotel is in a great location, it’s close to everything in the city, but is on a quiet road away from the noise. The view from our room was amazing, looking down towards the sea. All the staff were helpful and polite, we checked out on the Monday, but our train wasn’t until the evening, and they let us leave our luggage in storage till it was time for us to get our train. No issues at all. The only thing I could think of is that they don’t have a lift to upstairs rooms, so if you can’t use the stairs, this would be an issue. But it wasn’t for us.

• Stephen (9/5): Comfortable great location. - Room was comfortable and the location was great and central. Was a great kick off location for the start of a trip and to sleep off the jet lag a bit. Staff was helpful and kind to some travellers that were a bit over tired at arrival. The bar in the front was really enjoyable for a beer after a long day. The 50 stairs to get to the room where a bit much for my older mother, but nothing out of the ordinary for a room in the UK. Otherwise everything was solid and as advertised. It's on a bit of a busy street and that might matter to some?

• MELISSA (8/5): Great location, opposite the bus station and nearby tram stop. - Good: • Great location - If you’re using the Edinburgh bus station, this hotel is right opposite the bus arrival area. A tram station is nearby too. • Wonderful surprise - My husband and I were in Scotland for our honeymoon. We did not request anything special from the hotel, but we were wonderfully surprised with a room decorated with petals and chocolates! • Very helpful staff - Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, from pre-checkin chat communications all the way to checkout. Can Improve: • Please keep radiators on. Understand that the radiators are currently turned off during the summer, but on the day we checked in (late Spring early Summer), the weather was very cold. That said, we are very thankful for the portable radiator that was brought to our room.

• Liberi (10/5): This is a darling tidy boutique hotel in a great location with a bar and restaurant on site. - The staff was extremely helpful. They recommended local restaurants and reserved us a taxi to the airport. One morning we had a very nice breakfast there and another evening we had drinks before retiring for the night. The room was small but had everything, and the bed was quite comfortable. It was a convenient location in New Town - close to Waverly train station and not far from the major sites. There was no lift in the hotel but the staff offered to get our suitcases up to the room for us.
