Guest Reviews
- Santiago (2/5): - We stay here because we were tired and had no reservations. The ac worked fine, the location is surrounded by restaurants but it gives the appearance of a low live community, I will definitely not stay here again, not even if they will pay me.
- Brett (8/5): - While just your average motel the rooms were absolutely spotless everyday. They do an awesome job with housekeeping every single day
- Santos (4/5): - Was given a key to a room that was already occupied. Had to return to the counter and was given another room. Rooms floor and bathroom were dirty, smelled like mold. Bugs and dead roach on the floor. AC unit was really loud. Bed sheets looked old and stained. The woman at the counter was very nice and apologized for the issues, that was the only positive thing that happened. Coffee at the lobby was terrible.
- Ricky (8/5): - Room was always clean, comfortable, and very well priced ( In county known for high hotel prices, meant a lot.)
- Sohan (6/5): - Decent size rooms, comfortable beds but the in-shower mat was slimy and wet. There's no bathroom mat to dry your feet, so the room had wet footsteps allover until I repurposed an extra towel.
- Karen (10/5): - Closer to towm
- Dean (6/5): - Old building, but nice staff. Needs renovation.
- Terry (10/5): - It's an older property in a out of the way location. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are comfortable and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Waffle House is nrxt door and McDonald's is across the street
- Jonathan (4/5): - Nothing
- John (10/5): - Eas y acces
- Chase (6/5): - Not terrible for the price or quick stay. Definitely need some updateing and things fixed but the staff is helpfuly and friendly
- Darla (2/5): - Filthy… bugs everywhere
- Tonia (6/5): - It was kinda run down but not bad, you can tell they are trying to update things. Overall not worth the almost 300 I had to pay.
- Chris (8/5): - For what I was using the property for just to lay my head down to rest and sleep for a couple hours for what I was doing it was perfect. Let the front desk know that the door to the bathroom did not close which was not a huge deal but just for somebody else might want that. Aside from that the bed was adequate and everything else was okay. Would stay there again
- Amanda (2/5): - The staff is what shines at this motel. Other than that, nothing about this place was good. Our 1st room was not cleaned and still had someone's belongings in it. We were immediately re-roomed to an upstairs room, and the front desk staff profusely apologized. We were offered bottles of water, which were nice to have. The new room was dingy and reeked of smoke. Even the bedding smelled. The shower had very little pressure and the tub was extremely stained. There were groups of men outside smoking, drinking, and partying. No staff could be found at checkout, so the keys were left in the night window. I'm not sure how this place had better ratings than what its really worth.
- Crystal (8/5): - The stay was pleasant & budget friendly for those traveling with family & children! Staff are knowledgable & polite. Bathroom & the sink could be updated, but stay overall was wonderful!
- Melinda (4/5): - Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Parking near my room was impossible. Parking lot was full of people walking around all night long, drinking and playing cards. As a female traveling alone, it was uncomfortable walking to my car or room. There were Beer boxes and trash in the parking lot and when I walked into my room it was pitch black and the switch by the door didn’t work, had to walk all the way in and between both beds to cut on the light which was scary. My dead bolt didn’t work and I didn’t have any other lock. There were also dead bugs squished on the shower walls and one bed looked like it had already been laid on. Wouldn’t be my first pick but would stay there again if I had to!!!
- Cathy (4/5): - Our room was awful none of the lights but 2 worked. The fridge, microwave and tv didn't work. There was no hot water in bathroom or sink warmest it got was barely out of chill phase. Beds are like sleeping on hard plywood. Would not recommend this place
- Ryan (8/5): - Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Affordable room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Headed to the beach. - It was a decent, reasonably priced place to stay for a night on the way down to Gulf Shores. It could definitely use an update and more amenities. The male who checked us in was super kind and made it quick and easy. I would probably stay here again.
- John (2/5): - No hair dryer, tv remote didn't work, no bath mat , sink dirty and cracked, furniture old and worn, no room phone, limited towels.
- Tessa (4/5): - There were bugs in the bed; I’m not sure what kind but three different kinds and ‘hair’ was found. They did provide a different room after letting us check the beds and bathroom. Had it not been 12a.m we’d of found a different place. The clerk was very sorry and was kind.
- Christopher (4/5): - The floor was not clean. The bed was as hard as stone, got no sleep! There was no coffee. The sink was damaged, needs replacing. The shower tile was slippery, with no rails or anything to grab for safety, was afraid that I would slip and fall during my shower. We will never stay here again!
- Robert (10/5): - Easy and early check-in. Room was decent and bed was squeaky moving around in it but ok on comfort
- donald (8/5): - Good if on a budget when traveling. Woukd stay again.
- LaJerrica (2/5): - Property was infected with roaches
- James (8/5): - Clean room and friendly staff!
- Kelsey (2/5): - The office staff was very nice and welcoming. Our room was a different matter.
A huge build up of mold under the side table.. I have a severe allergy to molds. We were looking for something and happened to move it and found all the mold. A ton of mold build up on the shower curtain, no vent fan- the precipitation literally fell on your head after you showered. A man was video taping us, and capturing us from behind everytime we walked to the car.. including video taping a fellow female employee. The floor was so dirty, once one of use took our shoes off to walk across the floor, our feet were completely black. Mold on the mattress cover and dirt on it. Luckily, Expedia was able to negotiate with them and get us a refund.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Allows pets. - Hotel was bare bones, nothing fancy.
Unfortunately they allow pets and there were 2 barking dogs next door. So we did not get good sleep.
- John Russell (10/5): - Rooms were clean and housekeeping was great.Everything worked properly,a/c was cold.Room needed a coffee pot.The one thing I did not like was the room was cigarette smell really bad.I was in room # 116 and the person in room # 117 set outside the door and smoked often and smoke came in my room through my a/c unit.I also had to buy 2 new pillows the first night because the motels were soaked in cigarette smell. There was a waffle house next door and a McDonald's across the street.
- Emalee (10/5): - Exactly like the picture
- Todd (2/5): - This room was totally unsanitary and filthy dirty. It had stained sheets in the bed and the floors were so dirty that my socks turned black in the 15 minutes we were in the room. The bathroom was discussing. After 15 minutes went to office to requested a refund and they would not give me a refund for 3 nights the heath department will be contacted. I do have pictures
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good place for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful for my late night check-in. You could tell they work for service to the customer. Very friendly and nice.
- Ron (6/5): Rough one - Pretty rough old hotel. From the looks of construction stuff laying around, they likely working on fixing up. It was inexpensive and reviews were good and clerk said downstairs rooms nicer ?? Right next to Waffle House for breakfast a plus. Beds not comfy, bedding not truly clean, bath mat definitely stained-I rated ok as again very inexpensive but good reviews suckered me in.
- Thomas (2/5): - They charged us 3 times, only refunded one and not have to wait for the other refund. Don’t even know why they charged our card cause we paid with Travelocity!!!
- Timothy (10/5): - Good staff
- Elisha (10/5): Budget Friendly and Decent Room - The room & the bathroom were pretty clean. There is new tile in the shower. The flooring was laminate instead of carpet, which is a plus! The beds had a blanket that was thinner than the average, but it was fine. The heating and air conditioning unit worked well. There were three wash cloths in the room instead of the typical two. The front desk clerk was courteous and very helpful! They ran out of water, so he gave me two juices instead. Overall, it was well worth the price for the stay. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely come back & stay!
- Larry (10/5): - Older property that has been maintained if you need a place to sleep that is not fancy but a solid safe place to rest you will be fine here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best sleep - Aside from the rude awakening earlier than I was wanting, the few hours I stayed here was amazing.
Would definitely stay here again if Im ever in the mood to stay in Loxley
- Jeri (4/5): - No blow drier, coffee maker, or ice buckets. Water pressure was awful. Will never stay there again. I know it's not a high end hotel but you still expect better.
- Branden (10/5): - Large room
- Paul (10/5): - Everything
- Jorge c (10/5): - I like everything
- Dorn (8/5): - Pretty spartan place - with no breakfast. But room and bathroom were clean, with nice towels. Check-in was fastest I’ve ever encountered, and young male clerk was extremely pleasant.
- Amanda (10/5): - The service was excellent. Our first room didn’t have any hot water the front desk lady called me right away and we were put into a different room with HOT water. But the second room the toilet was coming off the floor. The hotel itself needs some care but the people were very efficient and friendly
- DOUGLAS (6/5): - Decent, sparse, clean.
- James (10/5): - Nice older budget motel. Individual door for each room always appreciated. No tramping through long, damp, smelly corridors.
- Anthony (10/5): - H
- Rosa (2/5): Feo - Tenia cucarachas y tuayas sucias
- Anthony (10/5): - Ok
- Justin (4/5): - Multiple problems at this hotel! First of all, there were ZERO TOWELS in the room, which I did not realize until I stepped out of the shower. I had to use a bedsheet to dry off with. No bath towels, no towel mat, and no hand towels. Also there was NO SHAMPOO provided. When I went to the front desk to ask about it they said we don't provide shampoo but you can drive to the dollar general and buy some. Finally, the room was very bare. There was one bed, one desk and chair, and nothing else. Need a couch or chair or something in there...just a big empty space. How cheap to not even provide shampoo and how dumb to forget to put towels in the room!
- Shannon (10/5): - Quiet, affordable, and convenient. Good for a quick stay.
- Marilyn (8/5): Frugal traveler - Staff was quick to give a newly renovated handicap room as I’m recovering from total knee replacement surgery, & cannot climb stairs @ this time. Great location on/off interstate & next to Waffle House
- Chezley (10/5): - It was a great stay...staff was very helpful & courteous. The toilet was unlevel & rocked but that was the only issue.
- Kirsten (8/5): Nice people and improved amenities. - The hotel is undergoing renovations and it is a work in progress. First weekend we were upstairs and 2nd we were on the ground floor. Tile, floors and fixtures are being updated. We assume it’s as they can afford to. The staff and owners are super nice and we have loved staying there 2 weekends while we were vendors at the Mobile Renaissance Faire.
- Megan (10/5): - The staff was friendly and the hotel itself was easy to get to
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel was newly acquired and being remodeled. Nothing fancy but adequate. We were only there for a short amount of time. Hotel charged $5 more for pet fee than Hotels.com indicated but Hotels.com was gracious enough to compensate me for the overcharge.
- Bruce (10/5): - Quiet clean room...
- Randall (10/5): - The parking lot was kind of small and compacted but other than that it was really nice.
- Anthony (8/5): - It was ok
- Glenn (6/5): You get what you pay for! - Property not clean and needs updating on the outside, plumbing issues on the inside.
- Gregory (10/5): Nice for 1 night - Nice ppl. Door was messed up
- Emily (8/5): - It is not the epitome of high class hotels but it does not claim to be that. It was a great place to stay for cheap and provided the basics well. Staff was nice and attentive. Room was not super luxurious but was clean and functional. Air conditioner works VERY well but can be a little noisy. Would stay again if making a trip to Mobile/Gulf Shores.
- Anthony (8/5): - Nice stay
- Busey (10/5): - My stay was 3 nights. It's our Anniversary and i waited to late to books something close to Gulfshores, AL. The staffs here was friendly. We were in and out during the day. Easy in and easy exit onto the property. But a bit noisy at night because of the traffic. Overall it was a pleasant stay i wish i had a coffee pot in the room, then there is waffle house next door. For the rate to compare to Gulfshores rates i can afford to travel the 27 miles trips.
- Vincent (10/5): - good location and perfect for a short stay.
- Richard (4/5): - Not very safe feeling
- Dale (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- GREGORY (10/5): - CLEANEST MOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN
- Alice (8/5): - Convenient to restaurants
- Zachary (10/5): - Its a cheap hotel so its not crazy luxurious but the staff was very friendly and theres a waffle house and gas station within walking distance. Its also right off the highway which is nice. We've stayed here before when we go to Conventions in Pensacola and its always been a pleasant stay.
- Alex (4/5): - The bed was so used you can see the valleys people bodies have left in the bed. There was also hair in the bed. The shower spout was hanging out of the wall. The carpet of sticky and squishy. The AC did not help cool the room off and the sink was cracked. I would rather sleep in my vehicle than here again.
- krisanne (10/5): - Great safe clean quiet place , for a good nights stay , in and out!
- Mollie (8/5): - Have an old dog and was easy to take her out to the grass.
Was quiet.
- Iraida (6/5): - The only disappointment we had was mildew in the bathroom and door .
- Katie (10/5): - Nice little hotel for a quick overnight stay.
- Pedro (10/5): - Good
- William (4/5): - The staff was great but the room smelly and poor condition.
- Kelley (10/5): - It was right by I 10 , and it's a straight shot down 59 to the golf !
Come down 65 from north Alabama it's easy to get to. It
will be my choice any time we go south.
- David (8/5): - Right off the hwy, friendly staff, room was clean. Very affordable. Will stay again when traveling close by.
- Alice (10/5): - Good
- Andrea (8/5): Good for price. - No nonsense hotel. No extra frills. Our first room had a bad smell, so she gave us another room with no issues. Very polite staff. Simple, clean rooms, Cold air. Good hotel for price.
- Mac (8/5): - Needs a thicker comforter on the beds!
- Elmer (8/5): - Good location, good value
- Leslie (2/5): - nothing
- Linda (10/5): - The property and the people were very nice. I would recommend this place.
- Sheri (10/5): - Didn’t see much but my room as I only spent 1 night on the road. The room was huge, clean, refrigerator with a freezer & the most comfortable bed. Staff very nice & helpful.
- Susan (10/5): - Good
- Kimberly (4/5): - Werent friendly at all. Weird people walking around outside my room watching me go into room alone. Wont come back, didnt feel safe
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK - Employees are nice. Decent Wifi speed. Worth the $90/night i paid. I wouldnt pay more though.
- Robert (6/5): - This was a typical off the highway motel. The bathroom was actually nicer than expected, but the beds were so hard and uncomfortable, that I had a horrible night sleeping. There was also a couple yelling at each other at 5 AM right outside of our room. That’s just how it goes when a place doesn’t have hallways.
- Robin (8/5): - I found the staff when I arrived to be very kind and attentive. I misplaced my cell phone and the woman at the desk happily said she would call my number until I found it. Thankfully it didn't take that long. I will forever be appreciative of her willingness to jump in and help.
- Don (4/5): - Theu had no tevorf of the reservation and paymenr we gave you and said they don"t work with hotels.com. we had to pay them.Hopefully, not charged twice for a almost dump.
- Kathryn (8/5): - They have an amazing staff. Happened to have my water pump go on my vehicle on way back to motel after an afternoon out on the weekend. Kari one of the housekeepers came to our room and gave me the number of a mechanic and he came out and fixed it the next day. Was blown away by the help and am forever grateful.
- Shelby (8/5): - The property appears to be under some construction, which didn't really bother us. The room appeared clean upon entering, but we later realized that the floors were so extremely dirty that our children's feet were BLACK on the bottom. The hooks in the bathroom for towels fell out of the wall when we tried to hang up out towels and the shower was covered in long black hair on the walls.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked that it was pet friendly
- Terrance (10/5): Decent - It was clean amd.comfy enough...nice n quiet.. waffle house adjacent walking distance!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed here just for a night as we were driving from Florida to Texas. The staff was very nice and provided support when we needed extra towels. The room was very clean. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, and a flat-screen tv. The beds were comfortable. The ac worked fine. There was hot water and soap in the bathroom. The surrounding area has a Waffle house, Burger King, McDonalds, Hardees, Circle K, and gas stations. Overall it was a good place to stay for 1 night.
- Vanessa (8/5): Concert trip - This is a non luxury hotel but I knew that when I booked. Ever thing was just as a I expected. Just a quick, close to the venue place we were looking for. In one afternoon and out the next morning. It was clean but had a couple flies in the tv at night and window the next morning. Maybe just fluke so no judgement here. Very friendly and helpful front desk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were passing through on our way home and needed a place to sleep. The lady that checked us in was very sweet and helpful. The pillows were a little flat so I went and asked for a couple of extra pillows. The man that was working then was also very nice and helpful. He got 2 more pillows and pillow cases for us. The hotel is located in a convenient area near gas stations, food and shopping. My only complaint is that the blanket is nothing more than a sheet with a design on it, so even with the air set on 74 we were still chilly.
