Guest Reviews
- Sally and (8/5): -
- robert (9/5): excellent - Room was a good size. View from room was onto a field and barn. Pool area had trees for shade and flowers
- William (9/5): Excellent - Older but renovated and clean. Nice renovation Nothing
- Carl (10/5): -
- Joyce (8/5): I would definitely stay here again. - The property was the best qualities of quaint. Everything was clean and well maintained. Not a fancy high priced facility, just clean, well cared for, quiet little motel. I would definitely stay there again. Don't really have any complaints. The facility decor was a little dated but that didn't affect my stay at all.
- George (9/5): -
- Simone (10/5): Great stay at Suburban Motel. We'll stay again and recommend to family and friends - With all the above being great. The pool was awesome. Private yet available sun. And owner insisted on putting the heater on even though we really didn't need it. Very accommodating. The general stay (fresh cleans room ) and affordablity where key.
- Carroll (8/5): -
- Phoebe (9/5): - Loved the grounds and grazing sheep across the road. Great farm market across the road, too, but still close to town. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Clean and comfortable.
- Josee (9/5): A recommander! - Juste peut-être un peu trop cher! Mais tout était parfait, incluant le look mid-century trop mignon!
- John (9/5): - Dad said it was a great little room. Had everything he needed for a couple days. Even a coffee maker. A bit out of town

- Mo (8/5): Great location for a visit to Sratford - Exceptionally clean and tidy. Although an older design, everything was perfect. Each room has a binder with local suggestions, but also stuff like parking regulations. Greatly appreciated A couple of miles out of town, but no more than 5 minutes to shopping and restaurants
- Jim (8/5): - The pool had been drained for the season, I assume. Still it was very high 20s at that day. See above.
- Cameron (9/5): -
- Campbell-Sheen (10/5): - The owners are friendly and very helpful. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable.

- Ken (8/5): - It was oka. A bit higher priced for what you received. But it is Stratford in theatre season!
- Mary (10/5): Perfect - We love this place. Very comfortable and everyone is so friendly. The driveway to get into the motel.
- Brenda (10/5): -
- Smith (10/5): - small patio with nice view

- Dianne (10/5): - Excellent motel. Very clean, quiet. Amenities are new and worked well. Quick check in and out. Will stay there again.
- Michael (10/5): Terrific, a place to return to - Our hosts were wonderful, lots of light with sliding glass doors out the back, and a comfortable group of guests to converse with. Highly recommended, would absolutely stay here again. Oh, and directly across the street from Wild Hog Country Market - great for breakfasts and lots more. Car drive into town.
- Shirley (9/5): - The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Shower heads.
- Rachel (9/5): -
- David (9/5): Very clean and comfortable. the owners and staff are very thoughtful and accommodating. - No food is available at the motel. The wild hog market is across the street and has outstanding breakfast and lunch offerings. The owner's and staff are wonderful and welcoming. We will defiantly try to stay there again if we come back to Stratford. nothing comes to mind
- Castillo (8/5): -
- Cory (10/5): Comfortable and enjoyable. - I enjoyed how cozy the room was and how courteous and kind the staff was. They also provided friendly and helpful advice about what to do in Stratford. Highly recommend.

No food services.
- Steven (10/5): - Love looking out into the cornfield through our sliding back door!
- Sherwood (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Jean-Yves (9/5): - C'est la haute saison comme les prix.
Bonne escale pour découvrir Stratford et les environs.
Le wild Hog en face du motel est particulièrement bien achalandé.
- Mario (10/5): - My arrival here was greeted by a very friendly and helpful gentleman. Check in and out was very fast and easy. Room was stocked with coffee and tea which was great. Only wish we had more than 2 pillows and fresher smelling comforters. But otherwise I’d give this place. 5 star. Thank you!
- Erlene (10/5): - Very comfortable bed!
- Arthur (10/5): - Nice little motel with a great pool in walking distance to Stratford Festival Theatre.
- Jackie (8/5): - It was great but the parking was very tight. Loved the pool and grounds. Awesome staff!
- Linda (10/5): - Quick drive to downtown. Reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Lovely pool area
- Anthony (9/5): Good quiet stay. - the A/C did a good job of keeping us cool The toilet was too low, especially considering that in a city likes Stratford the clientele would presumably skew to older guests who find child-size toilets hard to rise from.
- Travis (7/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - The room was simple
- Wayne (10/5): Definitely stay again - Everything exceeded our expectations
Owner was very courteous and helpful
- Ahrens (7/5): Good - Extremely friendly staff! The room could use some upgrades to the bathroom and decor.
- Marjorie E. (10/5): Great Location - The motel has a great location, close to town but not in the thick of things. The pool is fantastic. It was a pleasure to sit poolside, relaxing, and enjoying the lovely setting.
The owners are very welcoming and made sure our stay was memorable. This was my second time staying at the motel. I recommend it to everyone.
- Olesia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): - Great home base for a stay in Stratford. Pool is fantastic, rooms are clean with good new amenities, hosts are wonderful
- Mary (9/5): Very pleasant. - Well located. Small, safe, friendly, clean, updated bathroom.
- Emma (10/5): - The room had everything we needed, and the staff were extremely friendly!
- John (9/5): Superb - Helpful owners and staff, clean room, pastoral setting, short drive to downtown Stratford. The grounds are nicely landscaped with mature trees, shrubs and gardens, providing a sense of seclusion from the adjacent road. What's not to like? We would have preferred a queen-size bed, but we knew when we booked that it would be a double.
- Alexander (10/5): - Great
- Paul (10/5): nice lplace and quiet - I am not sure they had a breakfast.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - Such friendly innkeepers. Very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area
- Jesse (10/5): - Good spot.
- Sara (8/5): - The front desk staff is excellent. In the room they have put a binder with restaurants, things to do and even where to park in town. Will definitely stay here again

- Bold (9/5): A lovely place to stay! Will return again.will recommend to others too! - Beautiful grounds
Very comfortable beds and chairs
Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Provided detailed map and instructions catered specifically to our group and our needs. Nothing
- Claude (10/5): - Great spot. 7 min drive to Avon theatre. Clean, quiet, great pool. Service was excellent.
- Teresa (10/5): - The room was very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed. The hosts were friendly and kind. Amenities were terrific. We highly recommend the Stratford Suburban Motel.
- Ron (10/5): - Quiet clean and close to amenities and town.
- Monica (9/5): Superb - Clean rooms and peaceful quiet country setting with pool Nothing really
- Reino (8/5): - Very nice older renovated motel on lovely grounds in a quiet rural setting. Friendly staff. Very quiet guests, no large party groups allowed.
We will stay here anytime we visit Stratford. Also has a nice pool.
- Amy (10/5): - Family-owned, quiet motel in a lovely setting. The motel is clean, has a lovely pool and small garden area, and is just a few minutes away from the theatre, shops, and restaurants of Stratford. Hotelier is so well informed about where to find free parking in town, what's on in the theatre, and local hangouts. We enjoyed our stay and will return to this motel next year.
- Harold (10/5): - spotless, friendly people, reasonably priced
- Nancy (7/5): Mattress too soft. - Staff were very pleasant and room was very clean. My main complaint is that the beds were too soft and not great for my back. For the rate, I felt it was overpriced. Mattress
High (to me) price
- Jackie (8/5): - I have been to this property many times over the years and it never disappoints. It is a bit aged, but great value for the money - and the beds are so comfortable!
- Anne (8/5): Lovely cute motel.. Perfect for our needs - We stayed at this motel whilst visiting Stratford to watch a musical. This motel is in a lovely setting. Well kept lawns. Very clean rooms. The staff were extremely friendly. Bonus was a lovely swimming pool which we didn't have time to take advantage of but would love to return and stay longer and make use of it. Would've liked breakfast facilities but there's plenty of places in Stratford and the motel provides a list of places locally.
- Jayne (10/5): - We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. the Motel is very conveniently located just outside Stratford and in a very quiet location.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful
The room was spotless and the beds very comfortable.
- Sangmitra (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (10/5): - A very cute motel that is very well kept up with very friendly owners. Our room was simple but very clean and had everything that we needed. There was also a lovely gazebo and sitting area and pool with some pretty gardens around the property. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Stratford has it significantly cheaper than staying in town and only a few minutes away.
- Amanda (10/5): - We spent a great weekend. Easy to get a car service to the theaters. Impeccably clean. Totally quiet. Looking forward to going back.
- Judy (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Wally (8/5): - didn't like guest next door who decided to have a nice wide open area in front of his room and parked right in front of my door. Typical of a lot of people these days - all about them and no considerations of others
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, friendly and welcoming owners Nothing!
- Sida (10/5): - The room is nice and equipped with everything needed. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great experience overall.
- Daryna (10/5): Perfect serenity just outside of Stratford’s city center - Everything was great, from checking in to checking out That there was no breakfast available, however we were given tons of options around
- Melissa (4/5): - I am incredibly disappointed in this particular motel. So I check in at 230 which is early and fantastic that they are making it work for me . Go to the room at nly to find it incredibly outdated like I am talking 1970’s ish . Bedspread was just as old too. The room was very clean but very outdated as well . As I am going to my room I notice a sign on the pool that says it closes at 9pm which is disappointing because I rented here so that I could enjoy the pool after the festival but that’s not I. The cards and no where on the ad does it say the pool closes at 9 pm . So fine and good location is less than desirable it’s not close to anything for food so I would have to drive. So I get in my vehicle and I head out to get something to eat. Well it took me an hour and a half to find what I wanted. So I returned to my room realized I had lleft the key in the room when I left . Tried the door and it’s locked so I proceed to the office and only to be met with female if the husband wife team ï
- Ken (10/5): - We have been here twice before. It is our home away from home when we’re in Stratford. We love sitting around the pool even when it is too cool to swim.
- Keith (10/5): - convenient location, clean, safe
- Louise (8/5): - The Suburban Motel was very clean, quiet and close to town. The room was a bit small for a queen bed and would not be suitable for larger folks. The outside chairs needed some cleaning...the steps to room 108 are substantially slanted and somewhat dangerous expecially for seniors. With the exceptions of some ants on walls, bed and bathroom floor the motel was comfortable. Would stay again without the ants.
- Emily (10/5): - I love staying here on my yearly trip to the Stratford Festival. The owners are knowledgeable about the plays and share insights of the performances. Their hotel is clean, very comfortable and welcoming.
- Judy (8/5): - Pool area was great for the size of the facility.
- Chongzheng (10/5): - Clean and nice like it
- Bruce (8/5): - Clean
- Martin (10/5): Good Value - Reasonably priced for expensive Stratford. A short drive out of town, but worth the savings.
- Patti (8/5): Good Location, Friendly Staff - Location, friendly owner, size of room, clean, has a pool Needs some upgrading, but comfortable
- Shelley (9/5): easy, comfortable bed, attentive staff - clean, helpful staff. very comfortable
