- Martin (5/5): Mixed bag. Nice but they nd dime you to death. Profit over guest comfort! - Location was great. Pools nice. Staff understanding. Changed our room with no extra charge there was construction everywhere. No one mentioned that! Little things like being charged $5 per robe used .. That was hanging in the room. This in addition to the $40 nightly resort fee Breakfast steward was wonderful, the breakfast immaculately kept. The tables were sticky from being vanished and were nasty, boss knows but won't add paper placemats or cloths....too expensive? The gate to springs pools is huge and heavy and many have to ask how to get in.... I suggested a sign at the gate, the worker who helped said they suggest a remote,.... Boss says too expensive. In town when people asked where we were staying, and we told them, they laughed and said we were paying for the new hot springs. Its a stretch to call the pools two pools. Guess they are, but come on. 3 feet of cement separating them. Water in room is $2 a bottle ... Not sure if that was on.bill

- Cory (9/5): This is the best place to stay in Ouray- we were welcomed warmly and very comfortable. - The location was perfect, the hot spring pools were relaxing, the staff helpful and friendly. It is within easy walking distance of every business in Ouray. I will absolutely stay here again in the future. The entryway to my room had very low headroom- under 6 feet. I am 6'4" tall, so I had to duck. Not a huge problem, and not something that can be easily remedied.

Wish we would have gotten both sessions like we booked though Breakfast was terrible. Cold ,expensive and I was charged even though it was included in my stay. Not a single person said hello or offered any info when getting checked in and acted annoyed when asked where our room was. I booked a massage over the phone with a person so I could make sure my wife and I had a reservation for sure. My wife did and I did not. So I missed out on a massage I was looking forward to and half the reason we booked this stay. Our sheets were wet when we checked in . I called and spoke to a person AGAIN and nothing was done about the sheets.

- Maurica (3/5): - Property was in an excellent location! They allow dogs which ordinarily is a welcoming plus. However, people next to us allowed there dog to bark all night which took away from our over all experience. Took away from the good of our overall experience! People.. understood you are not the only ones around.. please be aware and present when you bring your animals to a hotel stay other people would like to enjoy there time as well. We traveled over 1000 miles to see this beautiful community and we did not get any rest because of your selfishness. Pay attention to how your animals are making noise and think how that may be affecting those around you.

- Melinda (7/5): Just pay for a day pass to the pools and avoid the expensive rooms that are cheap looking inside. - The mineral water pools was the draw for us in glorious backdrop. The surrounding setting was the best part of it. The staff were kind of dismissive to us and check in process weird. The room was like a motel environment sort of dark and dated. We could not get access to the pools til after 3pm and for an expensive one night stay $300 was a big bummer on our anniversary. While the pools are nice, it feels like chlorine is added to it which kind of cuts into the healing benefit. If you want a rope you have to pay $5 not included which feels in poor taste. If you want drinking water you have to pay for it instead of having it available which is not environmentally friendly and cheap of them. We felt nickel and dime in every direction. Had to pay $25 for an extra 1 hour check out. Breakfast is tasteless and not worth eating. Had to walk across the street to the pools. Rope give had huge holes in it. It should have been a lot expensive given their rooms and vibe is a motel with amenities at best. Recommend just getting a day pass or going to the public pool for mineral water. Pagrosa Springs mineral waters are so much better!

- Arnaud (9/5): Perfect dog-friendly hot springs getaway in a most spectacular valley! - Great location and the hot spring pools are excellent. The views in the valley, which one can enjoy from the various pools, were amazing. The included breakfast buffet was adequate. The hotel is very pet friendly. The pools and restaurant were remodeled in 2022, but the guest rooms have not been updated. They were perfectly fine, but definitely dated. We traveled with our dogs, and maybe the dog-friendly rooms are more dated than the other rooms?

The view while in the pools was spectacular. The area around the pools were clean and filled with beautiful flowers. The breakfast was unbelievable! This was in my opinion the best value for the dollar on our vacation of 12 days throughout Colorado. Would love to go back! The only minor complaint would be if you weren't staying in the main building, there is a little walk from the clock tower building

- Jenna (9/5): Luxurious Hot Springs Resort - The hot springs/tubs were incredible. It was the best facility I've ever seen. I know they did a major remodel recently and it shows. The vapor caves were an unexpected surprise; we stumbled upon them and thought it was the most beautiful steam room we've been to. Cameron helped with check-in and he was magnificent. I'm very appreciative of his assistance. The breakfast was far better than I expected. The variety was incredible and the quality was the best! The breakfast team was also very kind. I also am very grateful it's dog-friendly; that was the main reason we picked this place. The rooms were pretty basic; on par with a basic roadside hotel/motel. But between the breakfast and the hot springs, I truly didn't really care about the rooms.

The breakfast was OK, but you had to pay - Property was nice, but the door on our closet was falling off, and there was also spiders in our room. We only got to watch TV for one night because we couldn’t get it to turn on and then finally when it was fixed we couldn’t get it to turn off. The place is beautiful and the flowers outside are gorgeous. We did not know there was a resort fee charge, and that was a great surprise. It should be told when you rent the rooms. I love all the places we stayed from Durango to Ouray It was highest. We stayed in much better places in Durango, and charged less than the rooms here and more merch nicer. That it was rundown and needed a facelift.

- EILEEN GAVIN (5/5): Unless you really love the hot springs pools, spend your money elsewhere. - The breakfast was very good with many choices. When I book a 2BR suite, I expect 2 bedrooms with doors and some common area for seating for at least 4 people. This room had no door on one side for the shared bathroom and only one chair and no table for the 4 of us. The front desk staff wasn’t friendly or informative. For the money spent, this place is subpar.

The flowers all around the property were exceptionally beautiful. The gardeners and housekeeping staff were so professional. The location was perfect. Ouray is a great city to visit!

- Linda (2/5): - We paid for a "River View"Garden Room. It was more like the back alley view of a dump. I was bit by some bug during the night and my eye swelled up for over the next week. The mineral spa pools were not clean. There was used band aids by the spa. The breakfast which cost $19.99 per person was horrible! Will never recommend this place!

AC never cooled and ran all night making a lot of noise. I got there at 7am for breakfast and it was cold. Wasn’t even close to warm.

- Sydney (8/5): Honeymoon - It was recommended we stay here by a friend while we were traveling around Colorado for our honeymoon. The room served its purpose, we stayed 2 nights. There was a used robe and towel hanging in our room on arrival, I notified the desk and we got a discount on night 1. Housekeeping had been in our room and still didn’t remove the items. Hot springs are nice and weren’t too crowded. Breakfast was ok for being included in our rate.

Asked the front how to make a formal complaint and he said “let me grab my stick notes”. We have stayed at this property for years and could not be more disappointed.

- eyale (6/5): Best hot springs on Ouray, average amenities. - The only reason you should book this place is for the pool and hot tubs, they have the most amazing view on the mountain just in front of you, and its especially amazing at sunset. The room is old and too expensive to what you get. The TV was stuck inside a cabinet which actually was bigger than the opening of the cabinet and you couldn't even pull it out completely, only in an angle. The staff couldn't solve it nor showed any options to change rooms. The mini fridge is noisy, if you suffer from noise, plug it out. The floor is wooden so anyone walking in the room above you you will hear. The washing machine toom was half working, with only one machine operational and no detergent in the vending machine. Also, the check-in is done by a kiosk which is not suited to international travelling, since it asks for state and local phone, I tried 4 times until I aksed for help from a person (no big deal, just a bad experience from the beginning).

However, did not like the low toilet (was hard to sit down and get up), reserved room that did not allow pets yet the people in the room next to us had a dog, realized too late that there was no elevator to second floor and stairs were difficult for 85 year old.

- Erica (7/5): All around a nice place to relax! - The breakfast included was awesome! The pools were great and we loved our room down by the river. The hotel provided a nice sitting area next to the river. The only negative comment, the mold on the bathroom celling was painted over during our stay that made the room smell horrible for 2 days. The fumes gave me a headache.
- Thomas (7/5): Zwischenstopp mit Licht und Schatten - Super Poolanlage mit Wasser aus heißen Quellen, die bis abends spät genutzt werden könnte - eine ganz besondere Stimmung. Sehr gutes Frühstück, das beste auf unseren gesamten Roadtrip. Hotel hat unsere Buchung beim Check-In storniert, nach unsere beiden Kreditkarten nicht funktionierten. Dies lag aber am Terminal des Hotels. Wir konnten das Geld problemlos beim ATM einer Bank in bar abheben. Daraufhin wollte uns das Hotel nicht das ursprünglich gebuchte Zimmer geben (mit Upgrade von Booking.com), sondern ein kleineres, im Abseits gebuchten Nebengebäude. Erst auf nochmalige Reklamation bekamen wir ein unseres Buchung entsprechendes, nahe am Pool. Die Anlage hat eher Motel Charakter und die Ausstattung der Zimmer bräuchte eine Renovierung. Ein großer Kontrast zur schönen Poolanlage.

The staff in the lobby / check in area was less than helpful. Management/ Owner of the property was terrible. They nickled and dimed to death. They had signs everywhere about things you dont want to hear about/ extra charges. They even charged for the robs they had in your room. Would never return to this property under current ownership.

Rooms need updating our room stunk like a dog which was possibly in there before us and we had to make coffee and keep windows open an entire day just to manage the smell. Pool was perfect and so was the soaking tubs. Pizza is amazing!
- MissBLM (8/5): Ouray is beautiful. Hot springs pools are wonderful. - I like the hot springs, the rooms are decent, and staff tries to answer any request quickly. The views are amazing. It’s walking distance to downtown. Property is well kept. Beautiful flowers everywhere. The overflow of young kids with no adult supervision in sight. Kids were eating in the pools and nobody telling them anything. Pillows in the rooms need to be updated. Everything worked. Showers have great water pressure.

Office staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast each morning was very good. There are things that should be updated that would make this place a solid “10”. Our room #230, was in desperate need of mattress replacement. They squeaked, sagged to the middle and gave us back aches. The towels/hand towels & wash cloths were threadbare & stained. They shouldn’t be used. And then the robes provided (if used $5 per robe per stay) were torn, gaping holes & ragged. They should not be used either. The sheers on windows are dirty/stained brown as if never washed since original placement…just gross. I want so badly to give a higher rating but these issues need to be corrected. I was told they were sold out and couldn’t move rooms. We were on the end of building by stairs and at times it sounded like buffalo running in our room, very loud. And finally, only 4 rooms have balconies not all in River building as led to believe. River building must walk a short distance to pool area.

If you use the robe for the springs you get a charge for use. None of the springs temps seemed accurate. Buffet breakfast was marginal. Not impressed for price.
