- Linda (2/5): - Worse experience in long time. Run by one person, who is nice enough, but put us under room with a couple with a dog. He said all dogs were on the first level. That couple took the dog out and up loud metal stairs 5 times during the night! Our unit smelled terrible with cleaning solution and there was no door on closet, hand rail in tub, dirty shower liner, no water in morning as he forgot he had guests and told workmen to shut it off The air conditioner was so loud and kicked on and off all night!. We had zero sleep! Breakfast was grab a go and only had walmart yogurt, breakfast bar, old tiny orange, tiny muffin snd water. All this for $320, a total ripoff! Never again!

- Amy (10/5): - About a block from Ourays Main Street, super convenient. Nice setting next to creek. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. A gentle suggestion, the bed sheets (fitted sheet) were 'pilling', maybe invest in some new sheets. Other than that the bed was super comfy.

- J7841NLstaceys (6/5): Smelly room and dog poop - The location beside the river is beautiful. Our room smelled heavily of cleaner so we slept with the windows open. This is a pet friendly place and that is ok; however, the owners have several dogs and they were always off leash, and then getting yelled at to come and stay close if they were outside sitting or walking around property. Even watched their dog poop and no-one cleaned it up. That was nice to see as we were outside having a drink. There was dog poop in other places. Breakfast was water, granola bar, a yogurt and muffin if wanted. And or course tea or coffee. Would not stay there again.

It is right next to the river and has nice open space to sit and enjoy the river. Also has a nice area to eat around a fire pit. Since most of our trip was camping, we brought out our coleman stove and cooked our meal by the river and enjoyed the firepit. Also a nice jacuzzi....

Need to step up their game with some local breakfast tacos or pastries. Views next to river were nice, fire pit and hot tub also nice. No one in the office to check in or out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the best part was that we opened windows on both sides of the room for an amazing cross-breeze at night and could hear the river while sleeping. - taylorq516 (10/5): Beautiful motel! - Not sure why some of the reviews rate this motel at anything less than 5 stars. Family owned motel with very sweet front desk clerk named John. He provided us handmade dog treats for our pup upon arrival and checked in frequently whenever he saw us out and about to see if we had everything we needed. We had a Deluxe king room right on the river that seemed somewhat newly updated, with a very comfortable bed. Grounds of the motel were also beautiful, the only negative is that there seemed to be a lot of dog owners not picking up after their dogs, but that’s not the motels fault. Overall great experience and would absolutely come back!

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well taken care of. The rooms are cute and cozy and very clean. The staff were so sweet and helpful. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Room was nice with normal things one would expect, and that makes me happy. The father/daughter team of owners were personable and very pleasant. The grab-n-go bagged breakfast was more than I expected. I wish we had another day to spend in this great place.

- Rachel (8/5): - The grounds of the lodge are beautiful. The hot tubs are nice and relaxing. I love that it’s right next to the river, hence River’s Edge lodge. The beds are very comfortable, and the showers are hot even after the fifth shower of the night. Our room was spacious, but there was an outlet cover that was missing which would be very dangerous for small children. There is a dog park down the river a bit, which was perfect for our dog. The motel offers a grab and go breakfast of a muffin, granola bar, yogurt, hard boiled egg, cutie, and water. Overall, it’s a great place to stay in a wonderful town surrounded by mountains.

- Ritika (10/5): Must experience - This was a cute place located right on the river. They had hot tubes and a campfire going next to the river. The staff was friendly. We got two rooms, one with queen studio was super small but the one with two queens actually had a small dining table a full kitchen and a pull-out couch. The overall experience of Ouray and the hotel was awesome.
- LISA (8/5): - We were able to check in early, which was a big plus. The room was large with a couch to sit on. One of the beds was fine the other need to be replaced. The hot tub has a beautiful view of the river.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic accommodations - We loved being right near the river and were easily able to walk to nearby restaurants for meals. The room was as expected, everything was clean, and we were looking for a place with three beds in a single room to accommodate our family so choices were limited. We got a terrible night of sleep due to the uncomfortable mattresses and the water alternated between warm and cold without being adjusted for showers. I’d say it was fine, we’ve definitely stayed in worse places, but we were grateful to only be there one night.

- Alison (4/5): Perfect for 4 not 6 - We booked a room for 6 but arrived to 2 queens and a couch that should pull out but was broken and the mattress completely stained and in bad condition . The pull out frame was bent so it could not be used. We were provided a twin rollaway but one child had to sleep on the small couch cushion. Breakfast was a bag of snacks which was nice but there were supposed to be hard boiled eggs and there were only 3 total for the whole hotel. The manager was very nice but our room was not comfortable for 6.
