Guest Reviews
- Patrick (4/5): Zeer terleustellend. 1x maar nooit weer. - Vriendelijk personeel.
- keiharde matrassen.
Bread and butter.

- Richard (8/5): - Very suitable.

- VanRinsum (10/5): It was very relaxing and exceeded our expectations. - This was perfect for my sister and I. It is off the beaten path, so out of the tourist area but, still easily accessible. The staff was great helping us get our lost luggage. Great food in the restaurant. The room suited us very well. Maybe a little more cream and sugar in the room to go with the lovely tea provided.
- Michele (3/5): - Nothing Heat ran constantly making us sick to even ge in the room. Cook refused to serve us.
- diestra diestra (10/5): Excelencia - La buena onda del personal siempre predispuestos a ayudar.
- Tom (5/5): Mapil hotel - Location Reception
Very poor English.
No information given about restaurant times or breakfast the next morning.
Room.
Shelf in bathroom broken,
Handle of shower door loose.
The bed stuck right beside the radiator. Have to walk sideways to get into the bed and if radiator is on which it was you will burn the legs
Restaurant.
First impression was all the tables looked dirty but they were all Mary ( surely a tin of polish would make it look good) passed 4 tables until I realised they all look the same.
Fish and chips (17euro) was poor .believe fish was frozen and not fresh. and very small piece just like from a package of frozen fish. Chef kept looking out from kitchen at us sitting at the table .
Scampi and chips (18euro) . Big bowl of scampi but when was full of batter. Seems the chef cut 1 scampi into 4 pieces then covered with batter to make the bowl full. Salad as the menu bsays was a handful of rocket on the plate. ( no salad)
An American elderly couple arrived for food at 8.40pm and was told the kitchen was closed though it was suppose to close at 9pm.
The chef then came from kitchen at 9.15pm and sat at the bar having a pint of beer laughing with the bartender with the American couple looking on having a coke .
Many people also came into the bar complaining that there was no one at reception to deal with their issues.
Recomandation
Pay the extra for a hotel.

- Paige (3/5): The disappointing reality of a promising hotel - The woman who greeted us at reception was pleasant. The outside of the hotel looks lovely and well maintained.
The room was clean.
I personally liked the shower, when i used it on the Friday morning it was nice and hot and powerful.
There were plenty of towels in the bathroom When we checked in and got to our room (room 28) we noticed straight away that the double bed in the room was so uncomfortable and hard.
I did go down to reception to see if we could get another room or a more comfortable mattress or even a mattress topper but as the hotel was sold out and the housekeeping had left for the day there was nothing that could be done.
We did check in early, around 1pm and i was surprised that everyone else had already also been checked in so there was no chance of switching rooms either.
The double bed was honestly like sleeping on a rock. I have Sciatica and i genuinely did consider looking elsewhere for the 2 nights. If everywhere else wasn't also full or way outside of our budget, i probably would have.
Room 28 felt and looked very dated
In the room itself here are the things that didn't work:
The tiny tv on the wall that was only a little bit bigger than my Kindle..... No signal on all channels.
Hotel room phone didn't work, no dial tone.
Hair dryer on the wall didn't work (spare hair dryer was in the wardrobe but i didn't find this til we were checking out of the room
Light above the dressing table didn't work.
There were no toiletries in the bathroom apart from toilet roll.
The shower didn't drain properly so when I used it...I was so glad that the shower doors had a decent seal because otherwise the water would have spilled over and out.
When my boyfriend went to use the shower on the Friday night it was cold and had a lack of pressure. He likened it to as if someone else had turned on a cold tap elsewhere which removed all pressure and caused the shower to be freezing cold.
Also on the Friday night there was a wedding being held in the hotel downstairs and we could hear the music from our room above. We ended up going out for a few hours.
- Áine (9/5): Great bed and pillows! - Room appeared to be freshly decorated and painted and bed was comfy. I liked the giant bathroom too it was nearly the size of the bedroom! I'll be back! It's Dublin and an old building so it definitely was a bit dampish but that wouldn't bother me. The room was small but not a problem for me either.
- Philip (10/5): -
- Michele (3/5): - Nothing Smallest of room heat ran continually. Bedsides were hard. Shower stall was made for tiny people
- Caiden (6/5): -
- Courtney (6/5): Good for one night or so, cheep and good location. - We enjoyed the location as it was really easy to get to and from the airport via AirCoach and public busses. With Dublin town being one bus away from the main road. Gorgeous location and nice place. As we were there they were repainting and doing it up. We enjoyed the onsite bar and the local restaurants and pubs. Staff were friendly. In the room, the hairdryer attached to the wall didn't work but there was an alternative one in the wardrobe. The phone in the room didn't work at all and at one point we did need a phone as our personal phones wouldn't let us call an Irish number. The tv showed no signal the whole stay, as we were getting ready to go out we just wanted to pop it on for some background noise. The shower took a long time to get to a "good enough" temperature to get in then when you did get in the water temp would keep changing. Also we found the beds really firm so when we woke up the day after our backs were really touch and sore.
- Vesa (6/5): - Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Äänet kantautuivat huoneeseen.
- Sneachta (8/5): Tiny room in a clean hotel - Extremely clean bathroom, and room, even if it was very tiny. Very nice staff. Easy check-in and checkout. Nice quiet, safe and pleasant out of the way area. The window was entirely non-air tight, wind blowing the curtain even when it was closed. Room entrance Door had a large gap around it, where light came through during the night TV channels were limited with scrambled signal.
- Matthew (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Heather (5/5): Too noisy to sleep - Friendly staff
Location
12 o clock check out Unfortunately the hotel was very noisy as a function was being held on the premises at the same time. My room was directly above the function room, and this meant loud music and doors slamming into the early hours.
In addition, there were loud intermittent noises from a boiler or fan nearby.
Reception were unable to help as the hotel was fully booked so an alternative room could not be offered.
- Greta (10/5): - Camera accogliente, personale gentile
- Stefan (10/5): -
- sandsten (4/5): - Rent Dålig luft i rummet pga heltäckningsmatta ficknproblem med astman.
Dåligt tryck i duschen
Mycket trångt.
Mycket torftiga frukostalternativ.
Dusche sehr gross. Für eine Nacht reicht es. Treppenhaus resp. Teppich nicht sauber. Frühstück zu teuer und bedürftige Auswahl.
- Cyril (9/5): -
- Chloe (4/5): Convenient location but not pleasant. Bring earplugs. - Walking distance from an aircoach stop so reasonably straightforward journey from airport
Really quick check in Biggest problem was the noise throughout the night which kept waking me up. Mostly from other customers and what sounded like someone packing away a kitchen or event, emptying bins, doors banging, people screeching at 1am. Someone waking up and moving about next door at 6am (weekend). The walls are so thin and the door did not fit the frame so light and noise came through. Room was very warm but the window only opens a crack. Promised free shampoo and shower gel but the container on the wall in the shower was empty (realised once mid-shower).
The TV did not work, needed to scan channels, not obvious how to fix this, tried to call reception multiple times but no answer.
The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable, springy with a big dip in. The bed height is very short, I’m only 5’ 4” and found my feet were restricted at times. Water pressure in the sink was weak.
My friend complained about the noise and was offered possibly a free breakfast which doesn’t really help you get a good nights sleep so not much you can do but suffer unfortunately.

- Robert (8/5): Overall a good stay. - The breakfast in the hotel was a nice touch. Showers are a bit too small.
- Arina (10/5): - The shower flooded easily and there was no other solution than to wait until the water had drained away…pretty disgusting but apart from this everthing was perfect. This was in room 1
- Rodrigo (10/5): -
- Sibanda (10/5): -
- Andreea (9/5): Great little place - It’s a lovely little place in a residential area vey accessible for both airport and center. In my case, the room #12, had a very small bed. I am 1.70m and literally had to sleep diagnoly or stick my feet out in order to be able to sleep
- Gregorio (1/5): -

- David (6/5): Okay if you just want a clean room and good sleep but water pressure in shower and issue. - Cleanliness, price and quality of sleep Water pressure in shower particularly bad. Started off okay then dropped suddenly and remained low.
Staff member, although pleasant, and cheerful at breakfast took my order and delivered toast tea and food promptly, but was never seen again. No checking to see if everything was okay or if i needed extra tea or toast.
No fresh fruit at breakfast and an uninspiring selection of cereals.
TV in room too high and badly placed, can't watch whilst in bed

- Dawn (9/5): We were glad we chose to stay in a smaller hotel just a short drive from the city. - The full breakfast was very nice. The service was always cordial and excellent.
I liked having the extra small bed in our room as a place to keep our luggage. Not having to lift our bags up and down twice a day was a definite positive for me.
Having the restaurant on site was a wonderful convenience and always a pleasant experience. The food was great and reasonably priced. The service was also very good. The continental breakfast was a disappointment, especially considering the nearly €12 charge.
My husband struggled having the main bed up against one wall. I wish we had decided to switch our usual sides of the bed sooner. Sorry 😞
The stairs were a bit difficult for us, but we managed, so, in a way, it was good exercise. 🙂
- Gianluca (6/5): - nice place and neighborhood no shower gel or shampoo.

- Jose Fernando (8/5): -
- Vanessa (4/5): - All the staff was excelent and very nice The room was very poor. Huge humedities in the room, unconfortable bed. A very weird noise the whole night that looks like a water pump. It was imposible to sleep.

- J M (10/5): Welcoming - Cosy. Road can be busy - expected in the area
- Wiktoria (9/5): -
- APOLLO (10/5): -
- maeve (7/5): Good value accommodation in a perfect location for travellers. - Ideally located with easy access on public transport to both the city centre and Dublin Airport. The hotel is old world in style, maybe a bit dated in places, but overall good value for money. Room was fine, beds super comfy, bathroom fine, shower a bit dated.
Tea/coffee in room. No private parking, on-street parking at an hourly rate (expensive).
A small number of free on street parking places located near the hotel but on a first come basis, so not assured.
TV in the room was tiny and didn't work at all.

This hotel is good for a short night stay if you're not staying in Dublin for too long Everything was fine

- Yung Eng (7/5): - The staff is funny.... Vintage feel and facilities are actually quite old.
Hot water takes some time to flow.
- Janet (4/5): Appreciate that the hotel has just started a refurbishment program, but the hotel round the corner was only £25 more, wi - Location and friendly reception staff. Room was freezing, the radiator didn’t work and had to put an oil fired radiator into the room to get some heat.
Found three pairs of men’s boxer shorts under the dressing table from a previous occupant.
Facilities tired, lack of hot water, no iron or
ironing board in the room although one was supplied on request.
Mould in the en-suite & a chunk of wood missing from door frame.
Stained pillow case which is unacceptable in my book.
Cleaning staff talking loudly in the corridor at 8:30am, not helpful after a long day & late night at a wedding, considering check out was not until midday!
- Barry (1/5): - The property doesn’t have baby cots and when they advised this, refused to cancel the booking we made, and charged us even though we didn’t stay
