• William (8/5): Friendly folks; a little bit of funk. - Great communication with Russell the owner. Friendly staff persons as well. Facilitated late night check in. The pool was very clean and warm. We didn't use it, but those who did were very satisfied I think. The facilities are a little down in the heel. Basic cleanliness was good, but longer term maintenance issues should be addressed. The door to the breakfast/kitchen area for example, needs cleaning and paint. Really it should be replaced as it is rotting out at the base. Handles on an area like that really should be clean and presentable. I can see how they just get used to it, but it needs some attention. Likewise the a/c unit in the room need a good vacuuming to clean out the accumulated dust on the inside of the apparatus.

• John (5/5): Read the Room Description Carefully - The location is in a beautiful residential area very near to shopping. The state park is 10 minutes away by car, and so is the beach. There is some attractive art, as well as a variety of plants and orchids. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. The rooms facing the pool looked nice. Guests were kind and considerate. Read the small print! My room had no kitchenette, no microwave, no hair dryer, no coffee pot. All other motels I’ve stayed at on the beach had those amenities. The room was called “Deluxe” but had nothing deluxe about it. The room has frankly dirty, specifically dust balls all up the wall. The shower had buildup on the tiles and in the grouts. The room was the smallest room I’ve had at Fort Lauderdale Beach. The room was gloomy and looked like a storage closet . Room was at the back with a small view onto the narrow walkway and no natural light. Staff had lit a candle, probably to mask smell of mildew, and the candle scent was artificial and toxic. Very expensive relative to many beach options. Cleaning person was not as polite or kind as the owner. Poolside music was not relaxing but just annoying.

• Daniel (10/5): A great adults-only hotel with a heated pool and hot tub, plus a delicious breakfast. - The hosts welcomed us very warmly and showed us around the apartment. The building is a bit older, but it’s been decorated with a lot of care. There are lots of beautiful plants in the courtyard that are tended with great care. Every morning there’s a lovely, delicious breakfast (bread rolls, coffee, orange juice, fruit, and sweet pastries). You could help yourself to these all day long. The beautifully landscaped pool was pleasantly heated, and the hot tub invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. The room was cleaned daily and supplied with fresh bath towels. A great adults-only hotel, highly recommended. We’d love to come back again. nothing

The location is in a very nice neighborhood but a little further from restaurants, the beach, etc. If walking, plan a 20 or 25 minute walk.

Man merkt, dass sich die Inhaber viel Mühe geben, und wir haben gestern ein besonders Erlebnis zu bieten. Leider steigen die Preise von Jahr zu Jahr und wir hoffen nur, dass solche Unterkünfte nicht irgendwann unerschwinglich werden. Wir haben knapp 300$ pro Nacht bezahlt.
• Peter (9/5): Sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Poolbereich und supernettem Inhaber und Personal. - Das Hotel ist ein Kleinod. Jedes Zimmer ist etwas anders; unseres war sehr gemütlich. Smart-TV, in dem man seine Apps (z.B. Apple, YouTube) nutzen kann. Gutes Frühstück mit gutem Kaffee, Saft, Süßem, Käse, Yoghurt, Müsli, usw. Inhaber und Personal sind super-nett und hilfsbereit. Der Pool und Whirlpool sind sehr schön; hier kann man richtig relaxen. Die Lage ist auch gut. Es war alles sehr gut. Frühstückseier wären noch schön gewesen, musste aber nicht unbedingt sein weil genügend anderes Leckeres vorhanden war.

• Alan (9/5): A LOVELY OASIS IN FORT LAUDERDALE - The owner & staff were very communicative & friendly. Considering Fort Lauderdale sprawls, the location was good for nearby restaurant's, the shopping galleria, the state park & beaches. We used Uber because parking in FL is challenging & the heat/humidity when we went was uncomfortable for walking long distances. The guesthouse also offers free parking & a continental breakfast. We chose a room with a separate bedroom and with a kitchenette. The pool area was private & peaceful Stronger hot tub jets would be good. The breakfast, whilst adequate, was a basic continental breakfast.

We had to ask around the neighborhood to find out where the owners lived and go to the house across the street to have them check us in. That was not a good experience. But other than that the hotel and the service was fantastic after that! I would stay again.

• William (10/5): A fantastic find - A fantastic guesthouse & hosts. Located in a quiet area but still close enough to walk to the beach. Spacious rooms & comfy beds as well as supplying a continental breakfast each day. The hosts were very friendly & always willing to help. Upon arrival, Russell even took the time out to drive us around the nearby area to show us where local amenities were. Would definitely stay again should we return to the area.

There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or filters for it. We get up early and didn't like having to wait til 8 to get coffee. Everything else was perfect and we will stay again if/when we're in the area! Free parking too!

• Lee (6/5): Quite pleasant - The outside is beautiful, the swimming pool was lovely, perfect temperature and the jacuzzi was a lovely bonus. Lots of chairs and tables and plenty of sun loungers. Also loved the decor around the pool area with quirky plant pots and hanging baskets everywhere, has a lovely vibe. Unfortunately we found the room very dark and gloomy, although the furniture in our room was old and interesting, it was all dark. I think it could possibly do with a bit of updating as there’s lots of chipped paint all around the room,especially the doors, it just made it feel slightly grubby and unloved. The air conditioning was very noisy, probably age related, and the shower tiles could do with attention as they were very off colour and made it feel dirty. The breakfast was limited but ok.

• Grace-idea (10/5): Way above our expectations - We stayed at Coral Reef Beach Guesthouse in Fort Lauderdale, and it was amazing! We booked for two nights but loved it so much we stayed longer. The place is cozy and super relaxing. We’ve stayed in many hotels before, but this one is the best! The staff were always smiling and so helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool and jacuzzi in the tropical garden were perfect. The rooms were super clean, and the location is great—just 8 minutes from Wilton Manors and the beaches. It’s peaceful, friendly, and gay-friendly. We can’t wait to come back! Chen & Christian.

The beautiful pool and hot tub are surrounded by an abundance of tropical trees and plants. Orchids in bloom, other tropical plants and bonsai are a feast for the eyes. It also feels very private with there only being 8 units there. We enjoyed hanging out there for two full days before we went to the beach on the third day. I would definitely go there again …. The good outweighs the bad for me. A better equipped room. Only one broken chair in the room, no coffee maker or drinking glasses. Very noisy air conditioner. Our room was very outdated and needs some TLC.

• Kevin (10/5): Memorial Day Weekend - Our stay was so much FUN the staff were above and beyond professional, they upgraded our room as we were celebrating my Husband's Birthday. We had everything we needed to enjoy our extended weekend. This has become our go to spot whenever we visit Ft. Lauderdale. your staff is the best and we cannot for our next visit.
• Theresa (10/5): - We had a wonderful time and loved everything about the property. We will really enjoyed the pool area it was very refreshing and peaceful. We had a King room with the most amazing shower. . In the morning they provide excellent coffee and light breakfast options. Wayne check us in and was super friendly and showed us around the property. Chuck was also very friendly and answered any questions we had. We come down a couple of times a year and will be booking here from now on!

• Terence (9/5): Ft. Lauderdale guest house - Great spot. Walkable to park, restaurants, shops, intercoastal and the beach. Staff very friendly. Clean quiet and comfortable place. Breakfast included was okay. Fruit was not very fresh and not good choices. There is a great cafe a couple of blocks near the intercoastal.
