Theresa (1/5): The worst lodging experience ever. - Got evicted before breakfast. This was supposedly a highlight of the Inn. We already called you too report a most upsetting phone call from the owner of Showers Inn, Mike. We came for the stated breakfast at 8am but the door was locked. We called & got voice mail & explained we were waiting. Called again after 5 minutes. Then Mikr called back saying he just woke up, that the woman who makes breakfast should be. there. He kept saying I'm trying to help you" and said his parents died last month. He directed us to a locked gate. When we figured out how to open it from them other side he told us to to up a back flight of stairs to the kitchen where a young woman was starting breakfast. He then got very angry and told us "Get the Fuck off my property. I am calling the police". I asked for his last name and he said "I'm not telling you." So we said we are definitely leaving & we did. We are 76 years old and have stayed at numerous inns & B&BS and never were evicted for showing up for breakfast. This caused a huge disruption in our plans as we were to have a relaxing 2 days & I also had to cancel 2 virtual work appointments. Clearly this man was distraught and took it out on us. We are request ing a full refund.

Diann (10/5): A quiet beautiful stay. - The Wabash suite was large with every amenity necessary. It is tastefully furnished and very quiet. The breakfast was a beautiful delight. The variety of offering were presented in a variety of colors. The dining room was also a beautiful way to start the morning....fresh flowers, soft table cloths and lovely morning light adding to a picture of peace.

It would have been nice if there was water accessible at breakfast. Another guest was also looking for water. The bathroom in my mom's room had some plumbing issues (tub not draining and loss of hot water during her shower).

Michael (1/5): Service is horrible, no hot water, but clean. - Rooms are HUGE! Close to campus.Very clean! Service was awful! A bed and breakfast where it took 45-minutes for eggs and toast, and we were the only people there. Hot water was sporadic, at best. I hope you enjoy cold showers. Bonus: they lost our bags, which we were told to leave behind the counter. They put them in the wrong room. All of this for $450.00 a night.

Gute Klimatisierung. Das Frühstück war sehr "überschaubar" - es gab kein Buffet, serviert wurde Kaffee, Wasser, ein kleiner Obstteller und ein Eiergericht - das war's! WC war verstopft - musste ich nach 1 Tag selber richten. Kühlschrank hat in der Nacht gearbeitet - war nicht auszuschalten (man wurde davon wach ...); nebenan wurde die ganze Nacht Schul-/Uniabschluss gefeiert, laute Partys in der Nacht (inkl. Feuerwerk etc.). Zimmer wurde einen Tag nicht sauber gemacht.

Jennifer (9/5): Charming B&B in the perfect location. - This property is charming! Our room was modern & comfortable yet the house retained its original charm. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The location is perfect: easy walking distance to Kirkwood & the IU campus. The staff is friendly & attentive. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Bloomington. Nothing - would stay here again!

Sally (9/5): Good B&B offering surging walking distance of campus & downtown - Elegant home and extensive landscaped property. Easy parking behind house accessed from alley. I liked my room in the main house and enjoyed sitting in the parlor area. Excellent breakfast with choice of 4 offerings. Rooms in the main house don’t have access to a microwave or refrigerator. Would be nice to provide that for leftovers and to chill bottled water.

Thomas (9/5): Very nice. Easy walk to the square and restuarants. - Breakfast was fantastic. Ordered from a menu. We both had huevos rancheros , and it was very tasty and well done. The bed initially seemed too soft- I prefer firm- but I still slept well.

Jennifer (10/5): Stay recommended - Showers Inn was awesome. The house was gorgeous, the room I stayed in was so quaint and adorable. I felt like I stepped back in time. Despite being in the middle of a college town it was quiet at night. The neighborhood was very safe and walkable and there were plenty of restaurants and bars to walk to in about 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay that isn’t a cookie cutter hotel. Can’t wait to return!

I called the front desk and emailed them. No one responded. I finally managed to get the shower on with cold water. I reached out to owner about some items left in the room after check out and he/she never responded

Gerald (10/5): An Extraordinary Stay - Although my stay was top notch from check-in to check-out, the included breakfast (from a menu) stood out as the best I have had at a hotel or B & B. It was incredible as was the wait staff who took my order and delivered exceptional service.

Serena (10/5): Charming Bed and breakfast with comfort. - It was so cute and i wish i had more time there. I thought the bed was bot going to be comfortable at first but i slept well. The bathtub after a long travel journey was fantastic! And the breakfast i am so glad i made time to eat there it was so delicious! This is silly but there was no Kleenex. And then at one point i dropped a lid that went by the bed and i noticed it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile near the bed post. The other thing was another guest turned in late and i could hear the front door slammed and their loud voices at an ungodly hour. One other thing just to think about is i didn’t have cash to tip . She was wonderful and i told her i didn’t have cash. But since breakfast is included in the stay either oaying your help enough so they don’t need the tips or asking guests s is they want to charge more to tip or providing a venmo etc so we can tip if we desire.

Herb (10/5): - A wonderful B&B. There is the main house but we stayed in the annex called The Composer in room 110 (2nd floor, corner room). Breakfast was delicious and well worth the stay. Only drawbacks: 1) the only have ROKU service so we never were able to access cable news 2) it is a double bed but comfortable.

Siddhartha (8/5): - I had a good time at Showers Inn at Bloomington. It is a family owned business, so kind of relaxed and chilled. The room was spacious. The breakfast is made to order and is of high quality. The property is right near the downtown, and close walking distance to shopping and dining options. It rains a lot at Bloomington, and is very humid, so beware of mosquitoes and bed bugs.

Lisa (10/5): - What an absolute hidden gem! My room was HUGE & the bed was so comfy. I stayed in Composer building and I couldn't have been more pleased. The courtyard was so adorable!!! We were visiting for graduation so I unfortunately had leave before breakfast was served, but I will 100% return. This was one of the most adorable and lovely hotels I have stayed at in a very long time.

Edward (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - Convenient location and a short walk to the IU campus and restaurants - The inn is beautiful and well appointed. The grounds are lovely and restful. The innkeeper friendly and breakfast excellent. Our room was upstairs overlooking the enclosed garden. If we were staying longer, we would have spent time there. Peonies and other flowers were starting to bloom, and there's a pretty fountain. We stayed in the inn itself, but there are also two (?) other cottages with rooms. We'd come for an overnight visit to see an art exhibit at IU. The inn is walking distance (15 minutes) from the Eskenazi Art Museum through tree-lined residential streets. Another five minute walk brings you to numerous restaurants and bars. Nothing to complain about.

Had to ring host who advised it was hot water on demand so run the bath which then heated the water. Would be good idea to post that notification in the room rather than having to make an international phone call.

Peter (6/5): - Lovely bed and breakfast. Very friendly staff and helpful. We stayed in the second building which is not as nice as the main one. Found old cookies etc in the. Abi eta otherwise nice room. Main issue was noise. There is a frat house or similar very close and we were kept awake until 5am with very loud music and constant shouting. Not good fro a nights sleep.

Everything about the room was so comfortable and so nice from the bed, the linens, a table to do work, and sitting in front of the fireplace. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay at Showers Inn every time I come to Bloomington!
Emily (10/5): Comin’ Back! - Bloomington native visiting town for a Saturday evening. I’d always known of the Showers Inn growing up and throughout adulthood so it was fun to actually stay! The staff’s service was excellent and friendly. The room and bathroom were so charming and beautiful! The bed was super comfy and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious our breakfast was before heading back out of town this morning. We also got to walk Home comfortably after spending the evening downtown. Will return!!!

Room was super Dim- Bulb was out in over head light Snippy person when I called - she said “for the second time” to a question I asked differently considering other info. Room had Door to outside with thin curtain Walls are paper thin- can hear everything Ton of steps from parking area- they were steep and brick- no handrail per se on ones going up to house.

Lynnelle (10/5): Exceptional - It's a wonderful place to stay. My daughter had an audition for composition at Jacobs School of Music IUB. So she was delighted to see the house named "Composer House". The room is spacious, and there is a jacuzzi bathtub! I love the homemade breakfast. Delicious! I also like the style and decoration of this Inn. I wished I could check in earlier so my daughter could have a bit rest before going to her audition. And the room 107 is the first unit that is close to the outdoor air-condition units. It's a bit of noise at night.
