Guest Reviews
- wayne (6/5): Good location
Thats about it - A great position walking distance to the beach the heart of surfers and the light rail Had a druggie guy banging on our door Saturday night looking for a woman with ababy with the sercure access and such , who let him in ,
We paid for parking for the length of our stay but had a notice on the windscreen and a road barrier brick placed behind our car from body corporate
, stating we were about to be towed
- bradley (1/5): Very disappointed - Nothing Everything
- Jaidyn (9/5): Overall, my stay was very enjoyable, and I will be booking here again. - The room was clean, comfortable and very well looked after. The communication was impeccable and made my stay easy. The location was very close to Caville Ave which was so very convenient. The smell that was in the hallway on the level we were staying on was repugnant. I am not sure if there has been a water leak or garbage left out there, but it definitely needs a good clean.
I also had trouble finding the lock box on arrival. More or bigger signage would remedy this issue.

- Sime (1/5): If it didn’t have a bug problem would have been great! - Location is great There was a bug issues, with several bugs continually crawling out around walls from under the skirting. After killing about half a dozen and still seeing more i didn’t feel comfortable staying the night. So moved to a hotel. No refund was provided which was a shane and hard lesson learnt.
- Mark (1/5): -
- Josie (9/5): Great Stay & Location! - The communication from the owners was great. Very contactable and informative Comfortable room and great fully equipped with crockery and utensils. There wasn't much space to put a suitcase to open it, it was always open and close when something was needed. The bathroom was spacious. However, there is no room to put your toothpaste and toothbrush and leave it accessible. There were no tissues in the room. Towels were very rough and not nice to dry with. The lock safe where the key is is not in a fantastic spot as you have to climb up to get it, and it was very hard to see and put the pass code also as im a little short.

- S.Porio (8/5): Relaxing - Liked the location. Was close to the beach and shops
- Kiya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (7/5): Good - Room was cute/quaint and clean. Bed was comfortable enough. Location easy walk to tram, shops, restaurants and beach. We slept well once asleep. The property is as stated. Small, more ideal to one person, only has bed for seating/relaxing. Wifi was to slow to use. Location is central which means there is street/night life noise but easy walk to tram, beach shops and beach. Was good for us being out from 8am -8pm. The price was OK for a place to sleep.
- Matt (8/5): Perfect little studio apartment for a getaway, location perfect - Location was perfect, place was clean, owner was very easy to deal with in regards to check in and check out No onsite parking,
- Mulheron (10/5): Exceptional - Liked
- Hayley (2/5): Would not recommend . No service. False advertising number - The bed and mattress were really comfortable and the location was very good The staff were horrible. Matter of fact there were no physical staff present. No receptionist. No phone number to call. And we left the 3rd night because of the smell and the condition of the room. They had toilet paper rolls in the curtains saying it was a “hack” from online. Very unprofessional. Very tacky. And they did not provide any room service regarding new sheets or towels for multiple nights. We were left homeless on the 3rd night as we couldn’t get back into the room we had paid for 3 night and only had 2 nights. I will not be returning or recommending to anyone unless they want a dodgy hotel with no real staff and no security and no help. Not even a phone in the room to call for help.
- Basil (8/5): Very good -
- Mulheron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trond (9/5): Superb - Some odd smells, but I would think that is building related
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodation was well presented, the room has all what you need:
Bod Clean and comfortable bed, room was well presented and clean 👌
- Biltoft (10/5): 🤷♂️ - The ambience of the place was like being in someone's home... a lot of thought obviously went into the place Nothing... well, finding the key wasn't easy... but that won't be a problem next time 😂
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Lisa (7/5): Good - Close to everything No parking
- Ads (8/5): Very good -
- Jessyca (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect, the facility is clean
- Amanda (4/5): Disappointing - Proximity to the markets and shops. Unable to sleep due to party goers. the foyer smelt terrible. instructions to get to the lockbox was not clear enough. The use of the words "ground floor" was not clear. ground floor is the level at the front door.
- Seema (6/5): Not very pleasant. - Location. The location of the key box.
Absolutely no communication with the landlord.
- Jordan (7/5): Good -
- Bre-anna (5/5): Passable -
- Vikrant (5/5): Passable -
- Sharon (7/5): We had a pleasant stay but did not realise on booking that there was no air conditioning. -
- April (1/5): Bad -
- Campione (5/5): Passable - It's was great Location No air conditioning
- Rebecca (5/5): Passable -
- Martha (1/5): Bad - We did not get access to the unit. The key safe code was not sent by email as promised.
The owner says she would like to chat about my experience but has made no attempt to do this.
My number is. 0416185409.
She already has my Gmail address. I have not heard from her.
- Martha (1/5): Bad - We found this to be a scam. Paid our money and got nothing for it. Our money should be refunded.
- Gordon (6/5): Good location property could have been better wouldn't stay here again. - Excellent location and a comfy bed. Unwanted guests on our first night when we returned to property after our evening out
(three cockroaches running about the room)
Also room pretty small and hot with only ceiling fan and no air conditioning.
- Isabela (10/5): Exceptional - The location
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -

- Charito (8/5): Was memorable and first time I experience I walk far to get the keys for the apartment. - Clean and friendly staffs.
Can cook and free fruits and finger foods aside from tea n coffee The owner of the studio apartment unit 102 -B
Is so annoying.
I already confirm that we are coming then she didn’t organise where I get the keys.
I good that the other staffs especially Windy n othe Filipino staff help us.
So very thankful for these staffs in the reception.
The apartment is not connected to the reception and then I have to walk far to get the set of keys in the night owl and it’s not really easy not very convenient.
Better to book with the Lady in the reception and the Filipino staff next time it’s easy to access the accommodation when we book from them.
- Ruiqi (7/5): Good - Position is very great, facilities are OK, complete and reasonably clean. Airbnb style and you will need to do basic cleaning, unlike hotel. Key taking and return is a little bit complex, messages are too long, I please the manager to be brief and use seperate message for important information, like address, room number, wifi and key taking password.
- Tyrone (10/5): Amazing - I absolutely loved my stay, the room was peaceful serene, beautiful and just well looked after felt like you were in your own rejuvenating world loved it. Just having to get the keys from a different place but not too inconvenient
- Stanley (8/5): Good value for money. - Very clean and organised. Was tiny and didn’t have a couch.
- Tracey (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriela (8/5): Very good -
- Freeman (8/5): I would stay again - Great location right by the beach, cute comfy accommodation, clean and tidy, comfortable bed. No issues with the accommodation
- Adrian (1/5): Bad - couldn't contact the property no phone number
- Rory (9/5): Comfy room in great spot - Easy check in/out. Comfortable room and bed. Really nice to have some fruit and basics available! Great location near the beach, food options, bars, light rail etc.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Location is great Trouble finding a parking space very busy
- Gerald (7/5): Lovly weather and restaurant's - some contact with host. All contact by remote control
- Irene (8/5): Very good -
- Belinda (6/5): Pleasant - Was clean and tidy. Comfy bed. No heating or parking.
- Tomoe (7/5): Good -
- Cheyenne (10/5): Exceptional - Room was clean and cosy. Check in process was explained well via message and was seamless. Great communication from the host.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurina (5/5): Passable - Location was fine. Little noisey with some work being carried on next door. Bowl of fruit was nice. Kitchen part nice. I thought the instructions could have been a LOT better.
Let people know Before hand that no one will be there to explain that
Aloha oasis was in the building.just NOT the Aloha itself.
That you had to hike off & collect key from a shop.
That the key couldn’t be picked up at exactly 2pm that day.
also would have been nice to advise that 2nd door was rental and that you had to lock your door once inside the main door entrance.
- Joan (9/5): Aloha was a great spot for a short stay at one of the best beaches in the world. 50 metres to the sea! - Loved the newly renovated ‘old Queenslander’ feel. Tastefully decorated in cool beiges & white with a cozy balcony to sit & absorb the beach vibes. Bed was super comfy with lots of pillows & there was even a bowl of fresh fruit for us! Will be back! Thank you Miss Aloha ..😇 No teabags.
- Rich (8/5): Quaint unit, close to the beach. Good for the price. - Location Key pick up was 300m from the property with no parking. Had to pay for street parking, then walk 300m (in the rain) to get the key then in reverse to drop it off again the next day
- Dayna (1/5): Attempted break in - A man trying to break into our room at 3am, one lock on the door didn't make us feel safe or secure. The host had no compassion nor compensation, she told us that the man was "sleep walking"..... very frightening.
Other then that very nice stay
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (6/5): Pleasant - Complicated key collection - eventually found out that the keys are collected at a separate location and not at the main reception.
- Sofía (7/5): Good - The room was very beautiful, pretty clean and well located. In general it was good, but to do the check-in and check-out I had to go to a convenience store. It was not a great distance but it can be annoying with big and heavy suitcases. Also unlike most acommodations I have stayed at, I was not offered a place to store my lugagge for a few hours after check-out, I had to spend 30 dollars in other place. The hairdryer stopped working after a few seconds but luckily I had my own.
- Kaz (6/5): Pleasant - Good location.
Although we didn't require the kitchen amenities it appeared well stocked. Like several other reviews. No air conditioning with replies stating it was clearly stated. We were unable to find where this was clearly stated.
Several things in the description are misleading. I very much doubt the apartment is 87m².
And no sauna in the newly renovated apartment, there's one in the building apparently. Just state that 🤷♀️
One pillow case had obviously not been changed as it had several strands of hair on it.
The building itself is a hovel but the studio reasonably clean and comfortable for what we needed.
I'm generally meticulous in reading reviews for some reason l didn't when l booked and just assumed air con on the Gold Coast in Queensland was the norm.
- Deb (2/5): Very poor -
- Stephanie (6/5): Pleasant - Room was lovely and clean. Very homey feeling. The Aloha Oasis hotel is very dated, dirty and the hallways smelt horrific. If the room wasn’t as clean as it was I would have walked out and requested my money back. It was disgusting.
Needed to be made a bit clearer that this room is essentially an “air BnB” and isn’t actually managed by the Aloha Oasis hotel.
Nice room, perfect location and good price but wouldn’t stay again. If it was within a different building, would stay again.
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional - It was so clean. Had everything we needed. So close to the beach. No air-conditioning but we were lucky it wasn't a hot day.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (4/5): We won’t be back - We liked departure Check in, no air con, an outdoor security light that shines into the room that you can’t escape from if you want to let air into the room. It’s the only opening door. Tv volume was so low you couldn’t hear it.
- Denisa (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (10/5): Had a great time close to everything. Communication is as excellent. - We loved that the property was close to everything The property definitely needs aircon
- Andrijana (6/5): Has so much potential but is disappointing and not worth the price. - Location and cuteness No air conditioning which makes the room and stay so uncomfortable. You can hear everything through the walls. It’s so noisey. I had people bang on the windows in the middle of the night. There were 2 cockroaches in the room and the sheets were stained. You have to collect the keys 300m away, on the Gold Coast highway, where there is no parking which is incredibly inconvenient when arriving and departing. The initial messages provided by the owner are overload. You’re expected to take out your own rubbish. I thought the place belonged to the hotel/building which is why I booked it, but it’s managed by the owner directly. Seems it was a 2 bedroom apartment they have subdivided and now air bnb 2 rooms.
- Kitana (9/5): Aloha Oasis was a lovely little spot for my partner and I to enjoy ourselves for our last night in Surfers 😊 - It was in a great location near surfers. Easy to pick up keys and there was a close bag drop near by. Staff at the entrance were kind and helpful. The elevator didn’t work for us once but was fine after that. I also thought we were going to be abit higher up so we didn’t get much of a view. In saying that, it was still lovely!
- Jasmin (10/5): Very nice studio wasn’t too much and felt like a home. - It was a very cute little studio, perfect for a couple. It is very central to all clubs, bars, activities and beach.
- Amy (7/5): Good - Location Windows do not open, balcony door does not lock and for an apartment on the Gold Coast I’d would have appreciated an air conditioner
- Anonymous (4/5): Tiny space with no Aircon and no parking! Read reviews before you book!!! - Location. Firstly, if you are a single lone individual with a small back pack and nothing else, you would find there is just enough room within this studio to operate however, if you are a couple with 2 suitcases and small back packs, this room is your worst nightmare!.. there is no cupboard to store any clothes just a small upright hanging rail at the side of the bed that is totally insufficient. The room is very small and we had to live out of our suitcases that were in the middle of the floor, this also made the tiny space resemble an obstacle course throughout our 3 night stay.
Other issues.. Parking - there is no parking available, admittedly we were told this prior but assured there was street parking however, what we weren’t told is that this is only if you pay a cost of almost $40 dollars a day!!!.. the nearest street parking that is free is 3 and a half kilometres away at Broadbeach, an absolute joke!!!
Aircon - there is no Aircon in the studio and once again this is something the owner has received numerous negative reviews for in the past (not something I checked prior). There is a ceiling mounted fan that only acts to push the warm air around the room, at night, it is unbearable and difficult to sleep.
The studio is also advertised as having an ocean view?.. the only thing the room looks over is a building site opposite and from dawn to dusk they were operating heavy machinery all day throughout our stay, although this was an incentive to get up and get out early each day so it could actually be a positive?.. the only way you could have a decent view of the ocean is if you shouted 10 meters across to one of the builders to hold up an angled mirror that would reflect the beach that is behind the block you are staying in and then just maybe you would see it.
Also the room has an iron but no ironing board??.. good look find either the room or anything to use as a substitute in it’s absence. The room has a kitchen top and pans but no hob??.. go figure?..
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Schmitter (10/5): This little apartment really exceeded my expectations. Michaela was very friendly too. - Pretty much everything.
- Yvonne (3/5): Poor -
- Harmik (5/5): Not bad but Aloha Oasis along with Booking.com could've done better - The property was close to the centre of the city which was good. Facilities were good enough. In advertisement said, apartment with ocean view and a bedroom, but when we got there it was a studio apartment with no views. Please update your information on the website when people are booking.
- Russo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachelle (9/5): Superb -
- Marcela (7/5): Good - Good location close to the beach and shops No air con, expensive for a small room, level 1 with no views at all, looks older than the pictures and you can hear everything around it even the next unit
- Ronald (6/5): A bit overpriced for the accommodations - Clean and nicely decorated. Comfy bed, too! No air conditioning, and no way to darken the curtains.
Parking out front cost us $36 in meter fees.
- Lynne-maree (10/5): Exceptional - Such great help with any issues! I really appreciated all of it x
- Rachael (7/5): Great for a one night stay! - The room exceeded our expectations when compared to the rest of the building Key was not very accessible, and parking was not provided
- Lorraine (8/5): It is a beautiful little apartment perfect for my purpose and length of stay, very clean, modern. - No breakfast offered at this property There needed to be Some info in the room , Re food outlets nearby, How the TV worked, and would have been great to have an occasional chair in to room to sit on and some handles on the kitchen draws, it took me a while t work out a way to open them, and a bedside lamp.
- Alisha (10/5): A hidden gem in the heart of Surfers Paradise - My stay at Aloha Apartments unexpectedly exceeded my expectations! The finishing touches on the apartment's interior decor makes it feel like home; a full kitchenette allows you to prepare meals onsite.
A short walk from the beach, I will definitely be rebooking this hidden gem!
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
