Guest Reviews
- Mikko (10/5): Perfect place to spend a week in private with a big group of friends! - We were a group of 13 people and the property accommodated us easily.
Jacuzzi and pool were excellent.
Also the outside kitchen and dining area with good barbecue grill worked really well for us.
In addition the host, Michele, was extremely quick to reply and accommodate our questions and requests. He had also fixed us up with a few activities with the local winery and truffle farm, which were also really nice. The property is located along a dirt road outside of town. The road is well drivable, but it helps to have a car with good clearance below it.
- Martin (8/5): Good hotel with an beautiful surrounding - The hotel is located on an hill with a perfect view over the valley.
It has been renovated recently in a modern way, but kept its historical elements.
The room was good with a nice comfortable bed.
It was clean and hygienic.
Breakfast was okay, a lot of cakes and snacks but for us it could use some more bread.
- Paula (9/5): Countryside Living at its best! - The Palazzo is located in the very rural countrysite of san leo. If you like it quite this is the place to be. The view over the valley and to san leo is amazing. The renevation of the palazzo is very well done. The breakfast was very good and more than sufficient.
The road to the palazzo is a okay and we managed to get there with a fiat panda - so no worries! The bed was a bit worn out.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, beautiful house with an amazing view. The rooms are confortable and the host is super kind. We love the jacuzzi as well Nothing
- Gloria (8/5): - ...
- Pavel (10/5): very quiet place with more than fantastic view of Italian countryside - breakfast was perfect
- Andrew (10/5): Once In A Lifetime Stay In A 1000-year old Castle - We were thinking about staying for the night in San Marino, when I stumbled on this beautiful treasure just by chance. Located only about 20 minutes away through winding mountain roads - this is a 1000 year old castle that a wonderfully friendly couple had bought and renovated into a handful of guest rooms.
You've got to get off the main road and head up a winding dirt road that isn't it great shape but gets you to the hotel.
The rooms have lots of exposed rock and the floors are heated - the washrooms are nice and the dining room and fireplace are comfy and cozy!
They did offer to make dinner but we decided to eat in town so they gave us great directions to some local places.
The view from the room is astounding as it sits atop a hill overlooking miles and miles of farmland. You can even see the castle fortress of San Leo nearby.
It was a very cold night and it would've been nice to have had a heater in the room but there were extra blankets.
Breakfast was a pleasant affair, our hostess made fresh eggs for us and there were was lots of juice, hot tea and fresh bread and buns.
We only stayed for one night - but I could've stayed there forever!!!!
- Graeme (8/5): Isolation and peace - Excellent hosts, very good food, exciting drive on unpaved road to reach the property, quiet with spectacular views to San Leo and the valley below.
- chiu (8/5): Good hotel with stunning view - Little distance from town but with the return of quietness and great view
