Nous avons été très bien conseillés sur un bon restaurant au port pour le repas du soir. Petit déjeuner copieux, avec un grand choix de produits. Le manque de luminosité des accès aux chambres. Couloirs très sombres. Maison située près d'une grande salle louée pour des manifestations. Nous avons ainsi profité de la musique d'un bal de mariage jusque tard dans la nuit ;-) Heureusement c'était de la bonne musique!

• Margaux (2/5): On peut facilement trouver mieux pour ce prix - Rien de fait maison pour le petit dej, gâteau industriel, brique de jus d'orange, pain rassis... La personne qui servait le petit dej est restée à côté de nous tout du long pas vraiment appreciable pour un petit dej en amoureux. Petit dej servi dans la cuisine sombre alors qu'ils ont une terrasse plutot agreable cest dommage. Piscine tres peu entretenue il y avait des insectes, des touffes de cheveux, le mobilier autour de la piscine vétuste, vraiment pas top au vu du prix :( Chambre tres basique sans aucun charme. Salle de bain commune comme précisé dans l'annonce. Nous devions avoir une vue jardin mais finalement cetait plutot une vue travaux qui n'avait rien d'un jardin. Cf photo Le logement en lui meme est assez éloigné de tout, il y a une sorte de base militaire avec des barbelés juste à côté. On peut facilement trouver mieux pour ce prix. Nous avons d'ailleurs changé de logement apres la première nuit.

• KATELAN (6/5): - Beautiful old farm house. One bathroom to share for the guests, so we tried to be mindful of the time we spent in the bathroom. We weren’t able to use the pool because we got in late and left early. Breakfast was nice, fruit, coffee, toast, meat/cheese. Overall, very nice experience!
• Olga (9/5): Superb - It's a very cosy and atmospheric place with a big swimming pool, garden, beautiful entrance gate, and the most important, the host - Violet, she was like a grandmother to cook breakfast, to help with any issue, to talk to and to suggest where to go and what to visit etc. You will feel like you are staying at your relatives in a very big house and that's amazing. There were very big ants in the room. Be aware, that a private toilet is not in all rooms when choosing a room. I didn't pay attention to that and we had a toilet separately, which wasn't a big problem for us as there were almost noone to share it with, but still it may be not always convenient

For us, it was a warm, heartfelt stay we’ll remember. Thank you for everything – we wish you all the best and hope many more guests come to appreciate this wonderful place as we did! Our stay was truly special! From the start, we felt completely welcome – the host and her husband are warm, open, and incredibly hospitable. On Easter Sunday, they even invited us to meet their family and friends – a real highlight that gave our holiday such a personal touch. The beautiful garden was perfect for our young son to play in. Although the pool hadn’t opened for the season yet, it didn’t take away from our stay, as we spent our days exploring the beautiful Maltese islands anyway. Evenings at the table with the hosts felt more like spending time with friends. One night, our host prepared a delicious, lovingly made dinner for us. Our room was newly renovated, very clean, and nicely furnished. Though the private bathroom wasn’t en suite, it worked perfectly. Breakfast was served daily, and we could even take snacks for our little one. On departure day, the host’s husband kindly drove us to the airport – a wonderful end to a warm and welcoming stay.

• Rose (10/5): The place to stay if you’re wanting a typical Maltese farmhouse stay with friendly hosts, Violet and Albert. - While visiting family in Malta, I booked a 3 night stay at Ta Bertu’s farmhouse. The pool area was very welcoming. My room with a queen size bed and double bunk beds was clean and spacious for me (perhaps compact if sleeping 4). The shared bathroom was clean and good water pressure. Good variety offered daily at breakfast around the kitchen table. Best if you have a car as it is remote (for Malta). I didn’t have a car so I booked Bolt’s to travel around or got lifts from family nearby. The owners, Violet and Albert were very welcoming into their home. Violet and I shared many chats around the kitchen table and nothing was too much trouble. If you’re looking for a more typical Maltese experience, I highly recommend this place. The pool area is booked for party groups during the summer season. I only had one afternoon free to enjoy the pool area but didn’t feel comfortable going with a party group there.

Good parking available -Pool but needs a little TLC in furniture. -good breakfast, amazing coffee -room with AC and bathroom inside -Friendliness of hosts -Pool area is rented out to big family &kids parties during weekend. While I understand it is an extra income for hosts and I rent only a room I'd like to be informed ahead about it and have a choice to agree or not as I might only want a quiet day... -Entrance through kitchen is a little inconvenient as there is a separate entrance directly to rooms that is not used.

• corinne (8/5): Maison d'hôtes proche de l'aéroport - Maison d'hôtes agréable au calme avec piscine et transats pour se reposer. Hote très gentille, se soucie de notre bien-être et ouverte à la discussion (nous aurions aimé mieux parler anglais pour échanger plus facilement). L'entrée se fait par la cuisine des hôtes pour accéder aux chambres. Frigo dehors disponible et places de parking devant l'hébergement. Nous avions la chambre avec une petite sdb privée. Il manquerait juste quelques crochets pour accrocher les serviettes mais c'est un détail. Climatisation gratuite dans la chambre bien agréable. L'établissement se trouve derrière un camp militaire et un centre d'hébergement pour migrants mais nous n'avons pas été dérangé. Proximité pratique avec l'aéroport à 5 mn sans être trop dérangé par le bruit. Il faut impérativement une voiture pour sortir manger car rien aux alentours à pied.

I had never seen something like this and it was very unpleasant. I didn't see the owner the day after but notified the cleaning aid who apologized and cleaned it afterwards. Room was very basic, hard mattress and no hair dryer available. It's a pity because owners seem like good people

We felt very welcome, and were provided with a list of interesting places to visit and all sorts of insider tips. Breakfast was a good variety every morning. We had wanted to use the pool but sadly we bought very bad weather with us so were unable to try it out! We had everything we needed whilst staying here, and the hosts clearly care a lot about their guests. Checkin and out was also easy. Thanks again for a lovely time This is nothing to do with the hosts or property itself, but we should have done a bit more research about the area to plan better; there aren’t really any local shops, restaurants etc you have to go out on the buses to do this. We didn’t mind too much, but this may not suit everyone

Their home is elegant and comfortable, historic and well appointed. The outside is gorgeous, with a large pool surrounded by citrus and olive groves. Very convenient for the airport, as well as the south coast, just a short drive to Marxaxlokk for example. Hope to return and stay longer!

Værelset jeg havde bød ikke på så meget og manglende blandt andet et bord, men WiFi kvaliteten var til gengæld fin. Der er fælles badeværelse på gangen så det skal man lige gøre op med sig selv om man kan acceptere. Lækker swimmingpool og gratis parkering.

(10/5): Super séjour - La propriétaire et son mari sont plus qu'adorable, le petit-déjeuner et super elle vous propose même des choses en plus si elle est en train de cuisine ( ex: melon, salade de fruits qui n était pas prévu à la base sur la table du déjeuner). La piscine et l'extérieur de la maison est superbe en plus l'habitation est au calme c'est très agréable. Je recommande vivement car je n'ai jamais eu des propriétaire aussi avenant elle vous explique tout les bons coins à aller voir et à quel moment. Et le soir vous pouvez aussi rester tranquille à la propriété pour manger elle vous propose même du vin quand ils font l'apéro alors que cela n'est pas prévu à la base. Enfin voilà j ai passé un excellent séjour et je recommande vivement cette location.

• Frédéric (8/5): Pension de famille sympa, accueil extérieur moyen - Pension de famille super sympa ; un petit bémol quant à l’Accès qui est un peu difficile à trouver car pas bien indiqué. Au niveau de la route d’accès il y a des migrants un peu partout car leur camp d’algécos est situé juste en face. Pas forcément accueillant même si il n’y a pas d’agressivité.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Wer eine ruhige und familiäre Unterkunft sucht, ist hier am richtigen Ort. Sehr nette, hilfsbereite und grosszügige Gastgeber! Keine Hotel- sondern eher Gastfamilie-Atmosphäre. Mein Zimmer war einfach, aber gemütlich eingerichtet, das ich mittels AC etwas aufheizen konnte. Im Winter lohnt es sich, einen dicken Pullover dabei zu haben, da die Häuser eher kühl sind. Das B&B ist ländlich gelegen, jedoch gut mit dem ÖV erreichbar - von der Busstation sind es etwa 4 min zu Fuss. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

• elisabeth (6/5): ok mais...... - Conforme a mon attente sauf sur la salle de bain qui était commune alors que dans l'annonce elle était privée. J'ai fait la réservation de 2 chambres pour cet hôtel et a notre arrivée une seule était réservée. Comme il n'y avait plus de place la propriétaire a emmené mon amie dans un autre établissement (voiture + distance). La propriétaire nous a dit que c'était de la faute d'expédia (nous ne le saurons jamais). Mon amie a payé le même prix pour une prestation sans piscine et sans petit déjeuner (on lui demandait 8€ pour le petit dej alors qu'elle avait déjà payé à la réservation), je ne trouve pas cela normal. Sans compter que c'était notre dernière soirée sur Malte et qu'on aurait bien voulut la passer ensemble.

• Anna (10/5): Piecefull paradise - We are Very Happy to chose Ta Bertu for 4 nights on Malta. The owners were Very kind and make Sure we do not miss anything. The house is kept in the tradicional style and definatelly has the soul we have looked for. Moreover the house is surrended by a garden with grapes, oranges and olives trees which makes You Feel even more in paradise and close to the nature. We took the mornings easy by the pool with our 5 year old boy before we started to explore the island. We were Happy that the house was on the country side otherwise it would not be as calm and piecefull as it was.

• Florence (8/5): Calme et accueil chaleureux à Malte - Malte est une très jolie île, du littoral aux monuments et bâtiments qui la rendent si riche historiquement. Mais dépêchez vous d’y aller car les promoteurs et entreprises commencent à tout saccager! Ta Bertu reste un havre de paix, dans la nature. La piscine est bien agréable après une journée passée sous le soleil. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, ils peuvent préparer un dîner typique et sont toute la journée à notre disposition. Je conseille cette chambre d’hote très bien placée pour récupérer les bus. Le seul inconvénient est qu’elle est un peu isolée, sans boutique ni resto à proximité. Mais quand on a fait ses courses on peut manger sous la tonnelle, très agréable.

• P A (8/5): Great stay - Ta' Bertu is a charming family run B&B and you'll be given a warm welcome by your hosts. We stayed in a separate building on the farm, and our room was small but clean. We only stayed 1 night because we had an early morning flight. They even made us packed lunches. All in all a lovely end of our vacation on the island of Malta.

Close bus stop to get into Valletta. Buy your bus pass at the airport. The pool was a great place to spend a late afternoon after touring around.

Ci hanno indicato i posti più belli da vedere, non c'erano problemi di orario nè la sera quando dovevamo rientrare nè per fare un bagno in piscina. Colazione abbondante e camera pulita. Andavamo in giro con l'autobus perchè molto semplice da prendere.
• Bernadette (10/5): Respite from the heatwave - In the midst of festa season and a ridiculously hotter Summer, we found solace at Ta Bertu. The pool was the drawcard. The distance away from all the morning noise of the city was restful. I was hoping we would have the outdoor bungalow as we were on honeymoon and wanted to be able to swim late into the night. Accommodation, charming, friendly and always treat us like family. We've been there twice now and will be back next year also. Thank you Violet and Albert and the grandchildren who played in the pool with us. We had a great stay xx
• Edwige (4/5): Inadmissible ! - Notre fils de 12 ans à dormi sur un matelas par terre car les informations données par Expédia aux propriétaires étaient que nous venions avec un bébé. Après vérification notre réservation était bien pour deux adultes et un enfant de douze ans ! Mais le pire était à venir... Nous avions choisi cet endroit pour la piscine. Le premier jour elle était occupée par une trentaine d'enfants venus pour une fête d'anniversaire. Nous nous en sommes accommodés et nous avons pu nous baigner vers 19 heures. Mais le lendemain après une matinée de visites bien remplie et sous 40° C, nous pensions nous rafraîchir dans la piscine... Et bien non, elle avait été louée pour un autre anniversaire. Il y avait pas moins de 25 personnes avec cris et musique jusqu'à 20 heures. C'est dommage, belle maison, propriétaires plutôt sympathiques mais il faut choisir entre B and B et piscine municipale. Nous n'y retournerons jamais.

• Derek (10/5): Little Piece of Malta - this was one of the best places we stayed on our trip, the family was very warm and friendly going out of their way to help us and make us comfortable. the room its self was great and the grounds were beautiful! it was cold when we went so they were redoing the pool and i envy the people that will get to swim in it!
• ROLANDO (8/5): WE WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE - The landlady one day was complaining of our water usage..She was sceaming at my wife and I.We became paranoid using the bathroom.We cut down on its usage.The problem is the toilet bowl not flushing properly.Besides we didn't know our water usage was being monitored.We felt there was a discrimination involved.There was also a questionable city tax,i thought it was all included even it iwas not much.It made us very uncomfortable.
• Laetitia (4/5): Hôtel proche aéroport, mais très cher / prestation - Très bon accueil, mais chambre réservée et annoncée pour 3 avec seulement un lit double et la possibilité de mettre un matelas par terre, mais la chambre était tellement petite que le matelas était surtout dans la salle de bain qui elle est assez spacieuse au regard de la chambre. Lit confortable. Difficile à trouver : une petite rue après une base militaire. Aucun restau à proximité pour dîner. Départ de très bonne heure pour prendre un avion. Pour le petit déjeuner à emporter on a eu le droit à 3 morceaux de gâteau industriel, 3 clémentines et 2 pommes dont une pourrie. Tout ça pour plus de 100€ !!! Très proche de l'aéroport (moins de 10 minutes), mais les avions ne circule pas la nuit donc peut gênant.
• Harald (6/5): Rimelig overnatting nær flyplassen - Bortgjemt, varierende standard/vedlikehold, vennlig vertsfamilie. Sentralt m.h.t. flyplassen
• Térence (6/5): Pratique pour l'aeroport - Resté juste une nuit avant de reprendre tot l'avion. La decoration est un peu vieillote, le lit pas tres confirtable. Mais apres ne pouvant avoir de petit dej si tot nous avons eu des sandwich avec une pomme. La piscine n'etait pas praticable a caise du froid.
• Allan (8/5): Ta' Bertu review - Family run B&B in home with garden and pool. Lovely family atmosphere, home cooked evening meal with family, wines from own vineyard. Continental breakfast with plenty of variety and a chance to chat to other guests. Very close to main bus route to airport and Valletta. Not ideal for persons with mobility problems due to stairs, and bathrooms not having walk-in showers, otherwise great value and very helpful proprietors.
• Savananh (8/5): - If you want to stay off the beaten path with a great family this is the place. You will be eating at their kitchen table and truly see the culture. Great owners and fabulous place to stay. Awesome pool on site with homemade wine and olives to enjoy. Highly recommend staying this them. This place was so remote they personally had to come pick us up from the airport because our flight got in too late for the public bus, but again very helpful family.

• Clive (8/5): Charming and welcoming B&B - Ta' Bertu is a charming family run B&B and you'll be given a warm welcome by your hosts. I stayed in a separate secluded building on the farm which was simple and pleasant. There's no TV in the room although that didn't bother me and the weather was perfect despite the poor weather forecast. All in all a lovely stay on the friendly island of Malta.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Pagamos y no nos guardaron plaza - Mi experiencia fatal, reservamos una noche, la estancia ya estaba pagada d antemano, llamamos unas horas antes para cominicarles que lllegaríamos tarde ya que el vuelo llegaba a la 1h d la madrugada y cual fue nuestra sorpresa que habian anulado nuestra reserva, según ellos teníamos que llamar antes d las 20h,a traves d expedía habíamos comunicado unos días antes que llegaríamos x la niche bastante tarde ya que el vuelo llegaba a las 24:30 d la niche,,,,, según la información que teníamos del hotel Reservaban plaza aunque llegaramos tarde,,,,,no ponía ninguna reseña d llamar antes para confirmar, tuvimos que anular el vuelo y perdimos un dinero conIderable Esta es mi experiencia con expedia y con el hotel
• Eilidh (8/5): Lovely hosts with a lovely family. - Although the house is not in the most picturesque location, it is a really handy base for exploring the island by car. The house itself is really homely and they have some lovely antiques. Our room was basic, but had a great air con system for which we were very grateful! Bathroom could do with a freshen up. Lovely pool and garden with a whirly gig which guests can use for swimwear and towels. Highlights were Violet's homemade jams and meeting the hosts and their lovely grandchildren! They also allowed us to stay by the pool a little while after checkout which was great.
• Petter (10/5): Great host - I felt like home almost immediately after arrival. Violet and Albert were such a great host. I will not forget the evenings in the garden with exellent homemade wine and good conversations. Nice breakfast with homemade jams. The large outdoor pool were good for a swim at any time. Bus stop just down the road with half hour intervals to take you to the airport or Valletta, or the beaches of Birzebbuga. If you like it friendly and quiet in the countryside, this is the place to stay.
• BB (8/5): Friendly welcome - Very warm welcome from Albert & Violet. They try to make you feel a part of the family. Stayed 10 days but almost moved out after three due to the loud music on the first weekend emanating from wedding do's 300 yards away - music went on until 2 am. This was not repeated so stayed for the duration. Our accommodation was not in the main house but in a small. dark, cool en suite annex. Our shady patio was very pleasant, but we were not confined to using this space only. Location for visiting the south and central parts of the island was excellent.
• Ann-sophie (8/5): - Très bon accueil, beaucoup d'échanges malgré la barrière de la langue (notre hôtesse parle un peu le français) Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine, mais elle se situe dans un jardin très agréable.
