• Kari (8/5): - I stayed in room 27 which is a room for disabled people ( I'm not disabled) However the floor in the wet room needs some attention as the water from the shower does not run into the drain but floods the room so that your feet get wet when you are on the toilet or using the basin

• Paul (10/5): - OK, yes, some carpets need replacing, but cleanliness was A1. Staff were a delight - helpful and up for a laugh. The pools and steam room/sauna were really relaxing - once the children left... but, it's their pool as much as any one elses... children eh!? Breakfast was a usual self service affair, but really tasty and welcome after a swim and steaming session. We hope to return!

• Peter (8/5): - Hotel facilities and breakfast were good. The staff were friendly. The golf course surroundings and outdoor courtyards were nice. Good restaurant and bar, the pool was good. The rooms were slightly dated although a generous size. The bed was very soft which made the join very noticeable and distracting.
• Patricia (6/5): Room maintenance and service poor. - Room ( 16) was supposed to be adjacent to my family ( 15) but was in different side of the building and necessitated me having to go outside the main corridoor to the exterior and walk through the garden area , difficult in the dark and cold after coming from the spa area in a robe. Air conditioning was noisy and my bathroom mirror was cracked right across the corner where it’s held on with clips so dangerous. Also hardly any lights worked in the room , no bulb in bedside lamp and only one small down lighter working in the bathroom. Tried to ring firm up reception but no one answered for well over 5 minutes. Eventually went down to reception and reported it but no lights fixed until the following evening and then only after reporting it agsin to the cleaner in the morning. Bathroom mirror needs replacing. Woukd expect more from a modern hotel of this quality and price range.

• Laura (8/5): Nice stay - Nice stay, staff were accommodating and helpful. Hotel didn’t feel particularly busy but the staff were not on top of clear away glasses and often were at the sports bar having a chat. Only slight let down
• Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxing stay in a large room. - Attentive staff and a chilled out vibe makes for a great experience. Some signs of wear and tear here and there but nothing of importance. Evening dining was excellent.
• S (8/5): The good, the bad and the ugly - Hotel was really nice with a few minor things that would bring it up. Reception staff were great, room was lovely, loads of parking and bar food and restaurant food excellent …. Bar staff good too … lots of silly little things just tainted the experience … no fridge or safe in room; toilet seat was not slow close (I know, sounds crazy, but not when you have dropped it at 2am in the morning .. everywhere has slow close), pool table takes £ 1 coins, but bar is cashless, so if you don’t have the coins you can’t play, and when you do, the cues have no decent tips and there is no chalk … if yo7 are gonna have a pool table, then cater for it !!! More beds required around pool … the chairs are no good … people want a bed… breakfast .. well, it just wasn’t smooth; no latte option, the hot buffet just never kept up … 1st morning Friday, no milk, no beans, no eggs, 3 bits of bread left, no juice glasses … room didn’t get serviced one morning because I didn’t leave a sign outside, but should be automatic in my opinion …. Having said all this, still enjoyed the Hotel and would still recommend it, but management just need to improve certain areas of the experience
• Louise (8/5): - Good location with pool/spa facilities - room spacious. Only lets itself down by exterior windows being dirty especially around bar area & needing a bit of TLC around the place. Our bathroom needed attention especially the bath & shower glass/mirror smeared But....was good value for money & would stay again for location

• Paul (10/5): - Second visit to this hotel and really enjoyed the comfortable bed, lovely spa and good bar food. It is a little remote so not ideal if you need to be right on top of things but the nearby town of Bicester covers that.

• Cathy (8/5): - My mum is 87 and disabled and the check in staff, James especially, and Ian who was identified as the person who would assist us in an emergency were very patient, kind and helpful. The accessible en suite bathroom was excellent and food in the bar was good too. Good graduated steps into the pool and jacuzzis at the spa too. A few things that would improve the hotel would be automatic entrance and exit doors as they were too heavy for my mum to open and didn't stay open for her and her walker to go through so she needed accompanying everywhere. Also, some blankets in the room would be helpful n case needed - although when we called reception to ask for one for my mum who wasn't warm enough in bed, an extra duvet was brought to our room within minutes. Some of the doors/window frames at the back of the hotel near the terrace overlooking the lovely lake need repainting as they look a little tired. Some paper room service menus, coffee bags instead of instant coffee in the room, instructions on the lockers (we had to ask spa users) and a water dispenser with cups in the spa would be lovely. Only minor things though and didn't spoil a lovely stay.

• Lucy (8/5): - Another great stay at this hotel. However on arrival I found the receptionist (a blond haired older woman with glasses) to be a little lacking in customer service skills. The room was nice, modern and clean, but I noticed the curtains had come off the rails a bit so didn’t fit well. Also, the carpet was looking a bit grubby. I found the superfood salad very odd and couldn’t work out what was in it. It did however taste good! I think there needs to be more of a vegetarian range which doesn’t include mushrooms as not all vegetarians like them! The spa area was really nice but it’s a shame children can only go in two slots per day. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come again!

Book spa treatments well in advance. I had booked and paid for stay before being told there were no treatment appointments available for the three days I was there. (Was offered on for two days after my stay.)

• Vic (8/5): - I found the hotel to be very short staffed and a bit unorganised. I rang the hotel several times and no one answered my calls. Also no one returned my calls. The room was nice and clean and the food was what you would expect. Although they ran out of ham for the ham sandwich so had to have cheese! To be honest the staff tried there best but just under staffed

• Kiri (6/5): - It was overall nice but the room was drafty and the heating was hard to balance because of this and as it was noisy you had to decide weather to be warm or kept awake with the heating on. Even walking to the room it was freezing,typically in a hotel it's warm or even "ish" but it was cold cold. Staff are polite but unorganised and overall if I owned the hotel I wouldn't employ them because customer service just wasn't there. I was even asked to pay for the room on arrival-I'd already paid upon booking! She would have taken my money again if I hadnt informed of this. Had room service but service was poor - half the order was wrong so we ate separately, was told one meal would be free... long story but that was a lie and they have not responded to any of my communications or even honoured the promise. Had they not been incompetent,ignored my contact,had better facilities and room was more together for a 4* it would have been more but it wasn't so it isnt

• Peggy (2/5): - We had unpleasant guests continuously knocking at our door, however when the issue was raised to the staff the complaint was not acknowledged. Then there was another issue with the hot water, for 2 days the entire building was out of hot, we were unable to use the hotel facilities and unable shower with hot water, although both issues were out of the hotel’s control, they were both terribly handled by the font office staff and especially the duty manager. A complaint was emailed to the hotel couple weeks later and as expected no response and no follow ups.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - We chose this hotel to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, what a disappointment it was, we arrived on Friday afternoon to find that there was a wedding reception taking place. The group were unruly with children running riot. The following morning at breakfast was something of a horror show, the children were out of control with no parental responsibility. Unfortunately the hotel staff were unable to control the situation. Such a shame as we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast but couldn’t wait to leave the room. Fortunately the next morning the wedding party had left and normality was resumed. The hotel itself is looking a little tired and needs updating. Our keycard never worked and had to be reprogrammed multiple times, very annoying.

• Laura (4/5): - There was an issue with our booking and, although eventually sorted, the staff were chaotic and unprofessional. Bar restaurant was understaffed. My caesar salad arrived with no dressing and I ate it eventually with just a fork as there was no staff to ask for cutlery. We were upgraded due to the mix up but the room was just large - not particularly nice. The four poster bed had cobwebs all around the top. This hotel was overpriced and I would not recommend. The only thing we enjoyed was getting our electric car charged to get away the next morning!

Particularly I felt for Ivan in the bar who was generally quite diligent but was just one person whom we felt wasn't best treated by colleagues. The staff need to get together as a proper team.

• Debbie (10/5): A Little Bit of R and R - We booked this hotel and spa for a 2 night break. Staff were welcoming and informative. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a Coffee Machine and kettle for tea. The leisure facilities were clean and tidy with a few loungers and chairs around the pool. There were 2 large spa pools, a swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Robes, towels and slippers were provided at reception. Lockers required you to enter your own 4 digit code so no need to “scrabble around” for a £1.00 coin. Breakfast was very busy on the Sunday morning and perhaps they would have benefitted from an extra member of staff to either seat people or clear tables as the 2 that were on duty were rushed off their feet! Monday morning on the other hand was quiet and steady. Dinner in the restaurant on Sunday night was delicious. On all occasions the staff were welcoming and cheerful. We hope to return soon.

• Rob (4/5): Hotel is very tired and run down. Poor - Very disappointing. Paid £271 for executive room on a Saturday night. Room was dated, carpets smelly, TV tiny and from around 2001, no fridge, definitely NOT executive. Hotel is very tired and run down. Carpets are all old and smelly. Looks like hotel hasn’t been touched for 25+ years. The room was worth £120 no more. Will never stay there again. Staff are very good. Lovely guy called David is very attentive and new manager seems genuinely concerned at the condition but the owners need to pull their fingers out and spend some money. It’s terrible! The setting is lovely. The spa and pool are ‘ok’ but tired. Rooms simply terrible! Food was also terrible. Barely edible and over priced.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place but don’t bother with the cocktails! - Overall we had a great stay. The room was good, and the spa facilities were lovely. We both had amazing massages. The only down side really was the restaurant as when we arrived for dinner, there was no steak or chicken left. It made the menu quite restrictive. What we ended up ordering was nice though. We also had a cocktail in the bar, my porn star martini was awful, basically vodka with j2o and they charge extra for the Prosecco shot which is a basic part of the cocktail!

• Fiona (4/5): Understaffed. Tired hotel - Arrived late (8:45pm) to find the hotel had ignored my booking which clearly stated twin beds . We’d had a long journey only to find the restaurant was full and we couldn’t even order food in the bar ! They should contact guests re the need to book. Very disappointing. The hotel is bleak and needs updating . Quite depressing. Premier Inns are better . Thank fully the bed was comfortable and the gardens beautifully done . I wouldn’t stay again .

• Guru (6/5): Tired and dated Hotel. Definitely for a 4-star! - This hotel is definetley NOT a 4-star. I would say it is 3-star at the most. Rooms are very dated. Felt like I was stepping back in time to the 80's... worn out tired looking carpets. Room lacking the amenities expected from any modern or 4-start hotel. Poor cleanliness. Spa facilities, okay. Again, lacked cleanliness. Swimming pool was fairly dirty. Bar service at the hotel literally non-existent. Don't expect to be served quickly or with a smile. You are better off visiting some of the quaint smart gastro-pubs nearby. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the restaurant. Food was great courtesy of a very good chef.
• Julie (10/5): A1 - We had no trouble in locating the Hotel. We found all the staff helpful, professional, polite and friendly. We were very pleased to be offered an upgrade on our room which we found very comfortable and clean throughout our stay. The food was very good from the breakfast to the evening dinner. The Hotel and grounds were very well maintained. Overall our stay was wonderful and will look forward to returning.

• A (8/5): A very relaxing pleasant overnight stay. - This place is a hidden gem. The gym overlooks the golf course, the pool and spa facilities were wonderful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was well presented and delicious. It was surprising that the restaurant wasn't busy as we thought the service and food was great and it definitely met our standards regarding quality, presentation and tasty.

• Amanda (4/5): Poor Quality Stay - I contacted he hotel prior to arriving and within the cancellation period to say that the room price had dropped significantly. They agreed to sort this for me on arrival; which they then refused to do when we arrived. Despite booking a superior room, it was dated. Furniture scrapped, a dirty bathroom door handle, lights not working. The standard lamp bulb held in place with masking tape! The meal was lovely but initially the staff forgot about us and we had to wait over 20 minutes to be served on a relatively quiet evening, and only after I asked that they take our order. To be fair, thereafter the dining room staff were very attentive and helpful feted free drinks by way of an apology. Breakfast was, at best mediocre. I had been very much looking forward to staying at the hotel, having had a significantly better experience previously. However, I won’t return.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Really disappointing - Booked for a night away with my partner. We chose to upgrade the room but the room we were given was old, tired and outdated, without a fridge or basic amenities. We chose this hotel due to the spa, but unfortunately this experience was not at all relaxing. The pool was full of children, jumping in, shouting and splashing, and the rest of the spa was generally run down, with broken showers etc. Avoid the hotel restaurant. The food was average, with a basic menu. Service was extremely poor. Our waiter took each course to the wrong table, was more concerned with asking for cigarette breaks than serving us, and at one point he had an argument with another member of staff, who definitely appeared far more competent than him. Faulty Towers came to mind. Breakfast was again poor, with items missing. Both restaurants were outdated. The reception area was pleasant and most staff were friendly, but this is certainly not a 4* hotel.
• Verified traveler (6/5): 3* at best - This hotel is a 3* at best. Rooms are outdated, with no safe or fridge. The heating barely worked, and given it was subzero temperatures outside, our room was freezing. There is also no additional duvet/blankets which is standard for most hotels. The spa was average and the pool was busy with swimming lessons. Upon checking out, someone had charged their dinner to our room. This was rectified by the receptionist who was friendly, however, it summed up our stay - average.
• Richard (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Bedroom was a good size and very comfortable. Could do with some updated styling perhaps and modern touches (like Nespresso machines for example). Big plus is the pool and gym facilities which are excellent. Breakfast also a good selection. Will be back when in this area

• Eugene (8/5): - We arrived on NY Eve. We couldn't use Spa / restaurant due to time restrictions e.g. spa closed at 6pm & restaurant closed at 6pm.

• B (8/5): Pleasant but not overwhelming - It was quite a pleasant place to stay but wasn't overwhelmed by it. One day our room wasn't serviced which was ok but I went to Reception to ask them to put a bottle of water in which they said they would but they didn't and I had to end up buying one from the bar £4! Our room was also cold and even though maintenance came to sort it out it didn't make much difference and my Partner ended up going home ill. The food was nice but there wasn't much variety in either the bar or restaurant which you notice more when you are there for 5 days. The staff were really nice though and the service was pretty good.
• Anthony (10/5): Great stay - Great stay for a shopping trip to bicester
• KEVIN (6/5): OK for a one night stay. - Booked this hotel for the spa and its proximity to Bicester Village. Drive up to the hotel is along an imposing tree lined drive, very pleasant. Car park is more than ample for cars and has CCTV security cameras. Reception was all decked out in Christmas decorations and felt warm and cosy. We booked a Superior Room number #2 with four poster bed and outside balcony. The room was freezing cold when we entered and the bed spread all crumpled and smelled of stale sweat. Not the best start! We went to the spa for a few hours and that was fine until the noisy kids 4pm-6pm swimming club started! Not the relaxation zone we wanted. The bar was deserted so we went into Gray's restaurant where one other coupe were dining, again a very large and cold room. We ordered gnocchi and chicken which was just OK and nothing special. We both slept well and by now room had warmed up, thank goodness. Breakfast was a little bland and coffee served in a large canteen style boiler with hot water in pots. This is fine for a golfer's quick breakfast but not good for a four star hotel at £180/night. All in all a pleasant stay but left us very underwhelmed and should have been a lot better stay for the price.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Good stay - Very good. Well located, nice spa. Room slightly dated, but quiet and slept well. Will be back!
• Meryl (6/5): - Beautiful hotel with a stunning spa facilities but the tired, dated bedrooms were disappointing. Breakfast is a buffet which is not up to 4 star standards. However, the location is super convenient for Bicester.
• SONIA (8/5): - This is a beautiful hotel, the staffs are very, helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfast wonderful, it’s a compliment to the chef. Paula is so professional so I’ll give her a five star plus. This is my second stay for this year because it’s a wonderful place to stay,
• Mark (10/5): - Great bar and Grays restaurant was a lovely experience. Very high standard of food and drink except cocktails which were out of a premixed bottle. Staff so friendly and helpful. Pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room excellent. Changing facilities excellent too. Buffet breakfast was ok. Superior room was huge with lots of seating and a good view too.
• Graham (8/5): Pleasant stay Bicester Golf and Spa Hotel - A very pleasant stay. Nice and comfortable.
• Ross (8/5): - The room was clean and well set out. The communal areas were friendly and welcoming ( if a little dated). The staff were all friendly and helpful. A great base for a weekend break.
