Guest Reviews
- Sean (4/5): - I liked the price the most , very cheap. Shower floor had slime, and 1 block off the hotel was a very rough crowd.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Huoneen ovi murretta ja korjattu teipillä. Ikkuna ei mennyt kiinni kokonaan. Huoneessa hometta ja lattiat laatat rikki. Vessassa hometta ja laatat sielläkin rikki. Poistuimme hotellista yhtä nopeasti, kuin tultiinkin. Lisäksi koko alue eli todella levoton, eikä sovi kenellekään.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Too noisy to sleep - The staff at the reception was friendly and checked in smoothly. However, the room is too noisy - you can hear people walking, talking, shouting and moving suitcases almost every single minute, even after midnight! I could barely sleep even though i put my earplugs on. Basically there’s no way you can sleep in this noisy environment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sehr gut ...alles ganz leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is very welcoming, well placed for visiting Paris and good value. Fine if you want the basic amenities but would be improved with some basic repairs. There is no lift nor stair carpet
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Good location for transport, City tax charged was listed as .88c per night in room, 2.30 per night by expedia and I paid 11.50 to Hotel for four nights.Bed was comfortable and clean but sleep was difficult because there was noise caused by constant walking on timber stair (there is no lift), staff in building and general outdoor shouting, traffic and construction works.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - there is no elevator, i didnt feel safe in thr area
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Fine for the price, hotel was clean and check in/out very easy. Not a problem to do with the hotel, but the surrounding area can get very loud during the night, so be aware of that
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff was very friendly, but the hotel was just all around terrible. The room was outdated, the shower head didnt work and we had to use the detachable hose, which caused the ground to get completely wet every time we took a shower, there were multiple days where they didnt clean our room causing us to run out of toilet paper about 5 times, there is no elevator so you have to carry your bags up stairs, the first few nights of our stay were in the middle of a heat wave and there is no ac and no fan in the room, my wife is pregnant and it was so miserable that she was vomiting from the heat, we ended up buying a fan which was about $30 for a tiny little fan, the people on the street were so loud that we spent multiple nights not being able to sleep. Please, i beg you, do not stay at this hotel, I've never had a worse experience while traveling.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We got there, and the check in was ok, but when we got to the room it was a hole another story, first of all, there's no elevator, so we had to go up four floors, in which the third floor almost always smelled like pee, the room wasn't too clean, there was no climatization at all, the bathroom was kinda dirty also too small, the rooms didn't look like the images at all, it had the lamp, but it didn't work. So I went down to see if they could lend us a fan, and the staff told me that if I really needed one that I had to buy one on the stores next day. Also they don't clean the rooms every day, they only change the towels. Breakfast was very precarious just bread with butter and marmalade and coffee, milk, orange juice and water. We could store the luggage there before going to the airport because our flight was at night. The hotel is in the center of Paris, but even tho the zone where it is it doesn't looks safe. I don't recommend going to this place.
- Fernanda (6/5): Localização ótima - A localização é a melhor parte do custo benefício.
O único ponto positivo é a localização.
- A (4/5): - The hotel is located in a non-touristy part of the 10th arrondissement. The location is convenient, it is with walking distance of the Gare du Nord and the Château d'Eau metro station is just steps away. I did not mind the lack of air conditioning since it doesn't get too hot in Paris. I stayed on the fifth floor but the spiral staircase didn't bother me.
The hotel, however, is poorly maintained. The room, especially the bathroom, was dirty. The toilet lacked a seat and my towels were never changed during my six-night stay. The rooms are cheap but I will not stay here the next time I am in Paris.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property was a good budget hotel in Paris, but it was a little out of the way. To get to the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, we needed two trains. The hotel was small and clean enough but the shower barely worked and there was no way to fix it.
- Susan (6/5): Basic hotel near main stations - Simple and functional if all you need to do is sleep. No frills, and lots of stairs. The key for my room did not work well, but that's probably a temporary problem.
Zona bien comunicada.
- George (4/5): Not a value for money stay.. - the bathroom was very small and filthy. the shower curtain was old and dirty and the rack of the curtain was about to fall. mold was everywhere. the toilet paper holder was missing. the room had only one plug and the wifi was poor. the stairs were very narrow and steep due to the lack of elevator.the reception was helpful and polite and the bed comfortable.

- Maurice (6/5): Poorly average - Quite old inside and with no lift
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cautions - No elevator, just stairs to go up.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location is good to look different places , it have many restaurants with many menus
- Drita (2/5): - I didn’t like anything about this hotel. It was dirty, okd, terrible. Very very very dirty and disgusting place
- Verified traveler (2/5): - -> No proper communication between staffs and Customer ( I had Unprofessional behaviour from Mr.Mehdi)
-> No proper cleaning service
-> No useful amenities in the room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - -> No proper communication between the staff and customer
-> No proper room amenities
-> Poor cleanness in the room.
- Rachel (6/5): I wouldn't return or recommend - The areas central and close to the metro. Not classy but it was OK. I felt safe enough as a lone traveller. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant. I knew there wasn't a lift but I was not happy that I was on the 5th floor with a narrow winding staircase. I have asthma. I had to take a break on every floor and feared I was going to collapse every time I went up the stairs. Room very small and drab. Furniture falling apart and wobbly. Looks like it's not been decorated in over 10-15 years. Shower room disgustingly dirty and falling apart. The toilet bowl had dark stains. No fresh towels on 3rd day, just hung them over shower rail! No replacement cup on sink after day 1. Very noisy. Rooms too close together.
- marjory (10/5): Comfy beds - Arrive via St Denis stop
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Jens (10/5): - Simple accommodation for a good price, close to Gare du Nord and Metro, with friendly staff.
Globalement, bon rapport qualité-prix
- Linda (8/5): Good value hotel in central location - The hotel is basic but well kept. Everything is in working order, and the room is good size for Paris. A lot of key places are within walking distance.
The only issues would be the noise outside that can be very loud even if windows are closed. Also, there was no hairdryer and out of the lamps in the room only two were in working order.
But altogether great place for a short stay!
- Johan (6/5): One night rest! - Nice small hotel with good location. Clean hotel with privat bathroom but old standard. Travel light no elevator.
- Yacine (6/5): Ça passe - Sommeil agité à cause de l oreiller
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quiet street, pleasant staff but lacking amenities
- Abdalrahman (4/5): Fair stay - Firstly, the Hotel is in a very dynamic location, very close to access to public transportation. but the hotel from inside does not have left for the up floors. the rooms are very tiny but if you are desperate it is ok for you.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Substandard bathroom - Breakfast was simple but fine, included orange juice, baguette with jam/butter, and coffee. The room was simple with a bed, desk and nightstands. Don't expect much for what the price. The bathroom was the negative part, the shower curtain rod was falling and the curtain wouldn't stay put so water was getting splashed all over the tiny bathroom. This made a mess and judging by the mildew and moisture bubbles around the bathroom and room, this has been an issue for a while.
Cosa positiva termosifoni sempre accesi e camera sempre calda.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super convenient location and very affordable. Nothing fancy but it's great for a quick layover.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property is cluster. I had to climb four flight stairs. Did not have any appliances
- guestfromtx (8/5): - The hotel was clean, the employees were extremely nice and helpful. The street can be a little noisy but not to bothersome. The bed is probably the softest bed I have ever slept on!!! The bathroom is extremely small, can't turn around in it and the sink practically sits in your lap. Even still, very clean and stay again.
- Alex (8/5): Hôtel du Jura - The bed was extremely conformable, and the wifi was excellent. the noise from outside the room made by people going up and down the staircase was very loud though! The ensuite was a bit dilapidated too although everything worked fine
- Mike (8/5): City Break in Paris - There is no elevator so we had to climb stairs. I emailed them to say that my mum had difficulty climbing stairs. They put her on the Ist floor with as few stairs as possible. I really appreciate that they did this and it helped very much to make it a pleasant stay.
My room was also on that floor and was small but very comfortable.
- Daniela (2/5): THE PLACE IS HORRIBLE, SMALL AND DIRTY! THE BREAKF - THE PLACE IS HORRIBLE, SMALL AND DIRTY! THE BREAKFAST IS SO POOR, ONLY BUTTER, JAM AND BREAD. WHEN I ARRIVED THERE WAS NO HOT WATER TO TAKE A SHOWER, THE STAIRS ARE SO NARROW AND HARD TO GET UP! THE ONLY POSITIVE THING AT THIS PLACE WAS THE LOVELY GUY AT THE RECEPTION, BLOND GUY! HE WAS SO KIND AND HELPFUL! THIS PLACE, NEVER AGAIN! HORIBLE!
- Verified traveler (6/5): As expected - This hotel was very low cost which was what I was looking for. However, you have to expect to get what you pay for. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable actually (because I like soft beds and soft pillows). The bathroom is very small, and the shower is a challenge to use without getting water everywhere including the room. The bathroom is not so nice, but it works. Breakfast was fine but not fancy. Baguettes with butter or jam or honey. Tea and coffee. One thing that was not great was that apparently the antenna for the wifi was broken, so we picked up the router signal fine, but they let us know that the internet didn't actually work. I hope that's not "always" true.
Overall, for one night in Paris on a budget for my girlfriend and I, it was totally fine. But don't expect to have a fancy room for a tiny price.
- Greg (8/5): Good for resting your head. - Most of the the reviews for this place have covered the small gripes; like the Wifi seemingly to NEVER work (the access point is available, but zero internet connection - I wonder if they's tried turning it off & on again?), the stairs being small & twisty (don't book here if you travel with heavy bags), the phone doesn't work, the pay TV doesn't work, the French doors don't lock (although you'd need to be Spiderman to break in), but other than those small things, it's perfect place to stay if you're in Paris for a few days and will spend most of your time out & about. The neighbourhood is perfectly safe, and there's lots of cafes, bistros, and bars around. Excellent access to Gare l'Est and Metro station Chateau d'Eau. Gare Nord is just up Magenta Blvd too. For the price, it's absolutely fine but they really must get that Wifi fixed!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reason price for one night's stay near Gard d'Nord.
- Ian (6/5): An OK hotel just for sleeping - Firstly, when i checkin they were fully booked and put me in hotel savoy which was like a sister hotel, even though i booked hotel du jura online. The room was an OK size however there was only one hanger in the closet..disappointing. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Staff did an a good job in cleaning the room however they didnt restore soap for me,i had to get soap from the reception. The so called continential breakfast was a waste of time. It was just bread, butter, jam, honey, some tiny toast and water, orange juice and tea.
- M (6/5): Close to transportation hub. Basic room. Walk up. - Very nice staff. Close to restaurants and shops.
- Sahure (4/5): Hotel with no lift - First of all great helpful staff, hotel is okay but staying on the 4th floor and no lift wasn’t good. We found narrow stairs dangerous. Definitely not place to stay with children. And also toilet and shower room was very small we were hitting our arms to the wall.
- Ayodeji (10/5): Access to Paris shopping mall and great oppurtunit - Memorable and beautiful , the place close to a lot of restaurants
- Lesley (2/5): - This was not a good experience, no hot water for 2 days and no heating for 1 The room was in need of an upgrade as was the hotel in general and the breakfast was the poorest I have ever had even for "continental" The bathroom was tiny and could have been cleaner and the toilet wobbled when sat on. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the location excellent for what we wanted.
- Jan (8/5): Hotel Jura - Good location, lots of bars and places to eat close by
- Sara (6/5): Small hotel close to Metro - The hotel has a good location, but the neighborhood is not so nice. It's close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est, as well as two other metro stations. The breakfast they include consists of a baguette with coffee or tea. Good wifi connection, the staff is very nice and diligent and the rooms are alright for the price. We stayed there in the middle of the summer, because we had another reservation elsewhere that got cancelled, so this was a nice last minute booking.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Trilling - It was schoking bad. Its like a prison and unsafe region.
- Verified traveler (6/5): +Good value for money -miserable breakfast - Rooms are clean and newly refurbished, mine was tiny though, with a super tiny bathroom, very good price for en ensuite anyway.
The breakfast was miserable, it would be better to not offer it at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Gare de l'est, inexpensive. - Staff are friendly, the rooms are basic and the sheets are clean. That being said you have to mind the mildew in the bathroom and the mattress was in need of replacement. Also keep in mind the neighbourhood isn't one you want to be wandering alone after dark. But if all you need is a place to sleep it's adequate.
- sheisterr (6/5): Not clean - The grout in the shower was old and severely discoloured, the carpet is like outdoor carpet and the corners of the room had visible dirt and dust, and upon inspecting the bed I noticed that it is only a bare mattress with a flat sheet over it. No no mattress protector or anything, so god only knows what kind of human debris is separated from you with only a thin cotton sheet. Also did not have my reservation when I got there and had to look for it.
- Ashfaque (8/5): - Good to be there again
- Duncan (2/5): Convenient but too noisy and rough. - The area is like down town Mogadishu and feels very unsafe.
Reception good, nice simple free breakfast and room clean with a comfy bed.
If you want to sleep DO NOT choose this hotel, the noise from the stairs and other rooms is non stop and the rooms stifling hot with no way of turning off the heating. You have to have windows open and then you hear everything everyone is saying or up to!
- Jesse (6/5): Standard hotel, clean & quiet - Was what I expected for the price paid for the room. Clean and comfortable, but by now means a stunning place to stay. Good spot near the St Martin Canal area.
Breakfast was a let down. Apparently 'Buffet breakfast' consists of tea, orange juice and some bread rolls with jam.
Other than that, a fine stay.
- Lloyd (6/5): Fully booked? - Issue with booking as a receptionist had entered my hotels.com booking on a different day by mistake. The hotel was fully booked so I had to resort to taking a room that was undergoing maintenance. Not ideal, but was grateful to have a room. Narrow spiral staircase, very basic, rooms not too bad. You get what you pay for...
- Diego e Natália (6/5): Good location, service with small shortages but ok - The bed had a good size and comfort, besides the room was small and with no wardrobe neither hangers to put our clothes. There was missing bath towels in the first day and there was nothing else in the storage, but apparently the staff do its best and manage the situation in the second day. The shower itself had a problem to spray the water (making the bath a waterfall experience), but the water temperature was OK (unlike the sink faucet, that not provided hot water). The door of the shower cubicle didn't avoid the water spilled out, wetting all the bathroom floor. In the breakfast, that was simple and good, the coffee was not so hot (at least, there was a microwave oven, what solve the problem). There was not too much room for personal stuff in the main fridge, indeed restricted for using of hotel.
- Peter (8/5): Basic but fine for the price - A basic hotel, walking distance from Gare Du Nord and Est, and close to the Metro. Very basic breakfast but helpful staff, fine as an exploring base but not a romantic getaway.
- Sebastien (8/5): Paris Novenmber 2015 - Was very good - good hotel and pleasant stay
- Alvaro J (2/5): Totally disappointed!! - They didn't have my room ready and our first night in Paris we slept in the worst room ever seen. We left the hotel next day first time morning. however I had to say that the staff understood our reasons and we did not pay a single dollar for that night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Best of all are location and staff, rooms are not very clean and area could look a bit scary for the massive immigration standing on the surrounding streets but we didn't have any problems.
- Dave (8/5): Quaint French hotel - The hotel was fairly simple and they had small but suffient rooms.
For the price I would say exactly as I expected.
Breakfast was a little disappointing as all they had while I was there where baggettes and juice.
Location is great for people wanting a place close to gare du nord (is extremely close to gare l'est too).
I would say great for a few days while getting your hearings in Paris but is a little small for a longer stay.
- Afshin (8/5): Good hotel! - The Room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean, but a bit small. There was wifi, but only in the lobby. The hotel was located right next to a major train station, which made it very easy to travel all around Paris. Breakfast was freee every morning, and although it wasnt big, it was better than nothing! Overall a good place to stay for a few nights and if without a big family.
- Fiona (6/5): Not bad value for Paris - Hotel met our expectation for out short visit during Roland Garros, we had the triple room which was fine expept for the tiny bathroom, and some road noise as we were on the second floor. The hotel vicinity had plenty of bars, restaurants, local supermarkets etc so ideal after a long day.approx 10min walk to metro which links to main sights or approx 30min walk down to the river. 10mins walk to eurostar. All in all, not bad value for Paris
- Billie (6/5): 10mins from Gare du Nord. - Conveniently located close to Gare du Nord and other metro stations. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel was adequate and comfortable though some rooms have tiny bathrooms. Staff were polite and helpful. Free wifi always a plus.
- Verified traveler (6/5): IT'S WORTH THE PRICE IN PARIS.NEAR METRO STATION - I HAD TO TAKE THE BUS FROM THE PORT MAILLOT AT 05:30 SUNDAY MORNING AND I DID NEED A TAXI. THE PERSONNEL BOOKED A TAXI FOR ME BUT I BELIEVE THAT IT WASN'T A TAXI EXACTLY AS THE DRIVER WAS AN OLD MAN AND THERE WASN'T TAXIMETER AND TAXISIGN IN THE CAR. AND, THE COST WAS 35 (?????????) EURO. SO, THE FINAL "PICTURE" FOR THE PERSONNEL OF THE HOTEL WAS NOT GOOD. IF I HAVE WRONG, PLEASE CORRECT ME.
