Guest Reviews
- Samuel (6/5): - Normal.
- Rodolfo (10/5): - Not a lot to say
- Jennifer (8/5): - This was a great stop for the night, returning from Isla Mujeres with members of our party needing to catch a flight that they wouldn’t be able to make with the first ferry. We checked in at 11pm, the staff was very friendly and efficient. Most of our party was picked up by shuttle at 5:30am, the front desk staff was very helpful. We went back to bed as our shuttle wasn’t until 10am. Only negative was at 7:15am someone was playing loud music, eventually it was turned down, but you could hear it through the walls. For the price, this is a great stop if all you need is a place to sleep. We were advised the area was unsafe, but never felt that way. Would recommend staying here for anyone that needs a cheap clean bed for the night.
- Yuri (8/5): - For a few nights it was pretty okay. Getting hot water was a mixed bag. Beds were comfortable. On our last night we had a small accident in the room and they were really chill and helpful. Even though the communication was in Spanish they were really understanding
- Patricia (8/5): - Nice hotel, great staff. A bit noisy and location was easy to get to but a little uncomfortable at night.
- Itzel (8/5): - .
Bairro escuro, mas pareceu-me tranquilo. Não tive problemas nem me senti inseguro.
- Nonso (10/5): - My stay was really great. I recommend!
- Clara Maria (10/5): - Buena rn general
- 5Lexi (6/5): - There bug sprays,or cleaning sprays are terrible.
They are so overpowering ,you cough
Continually.
- Yaretzi (8/5): - Buen hotel respeto a precio
- Hyleim (8/5): - The neighborhood isn't safe
- Miguel (10/5): - .
- Geovanni Alejandro (10/5): - excelente
- AARON SERVANDO (8/5): - Buena
- Lyle (2/5): - No room available at check-in.Girl at reception desk recommended another hotel in area.
- Esteban (8/5): - The staff would need to be more active and outgoing
- LUIS ALBERTO (8/5): - .
- Ian (2/5): - Not safe area for visitors
- Noe (2/5): - 1. A cockroach crawled on my little girls head in the middle of the night and she woke us up screaming. When I brought it up to the front desk during checkout, they offered no remedy, apology or refund.
2. The shower was leaking heavily all night.
3. The AC took over 30 minutes to cool.
4. There’s no way elevator. We had to carry out luggage four flights of stairs.
5. The fan was rattling all night.
6. The pillow cases were torn.
7. There were no towels in the room. I had to go down four flights of stairs to request them because there’s no phone in the room to call the front desk.
8. Parking is extremely limited and tight. It’s basically a small courtyard enclosed by a gate.
- Monica (8/5): - No elevator made it hard.
- Jerry (10/5): - I liked everything about the Jardin hotel , a small hotel but big hospitality , every person at the desk was friendly and always with a smile . I stayed in the hotel in 2023 and again in 2024 and both times always welcomed and comfortable and when i return to cancun again in 2025 , i will stay at the Jardin hotel , as mentioned it is small so they serve breakfast or orther things like that but where they are located everything is within a short walking distance . Decent people with a good hotel , ny first impression of it was kind of average but i didnt know anything about cancun or anything in the city , but after my second stay i got a better idea of cancun and things and while on my second dicovered people from all different parts of yhe world come to the jardin hotel . I suggest it to every body for a good clean wholesome hotel to stay for your vusit , vacation or what have . Five stars from me .😀
- Ian (4/5): - It was a slum.
- Donald (2/5): - The staff was very noisy and not very helpful.
- Paul (8/5): - Cold water is not strong enough in my room number 30
- Alexis (2/5): - This is definitely not a place for ladies
- Patricia (6/5): - Noisy
- Eskinder (2/5): - Please don’t recommend this hotel due to dirty hotel, they asking bay by cash. In general I had bad experience
- Seungjin (2/5): Horrible hotel...no hot water for the shower - No hot water available for the bathroom and couldn't take a shower and the front door is like jail bar...This place is not safe to stay. Horrible and terrible hotel in Cancun.
- Aminta E (8/5): - The place is nice, I would have gave them a 5 star but it doesn’t have an elevator and we had heavy luggage and a disabled person, they gave us a room in the 4th floor so you can imagine going up the stairs with luggage and a disabled person, staff is very friendly.
- Eric (2/5): - The hotel had no elevator we had to carry 4 luggage to 4 levels. The neighbors looked very dangerous.
- cheryl (4/5): - It was good that it was close to the ferry port to get to isla Mujeres. The hotel called a cab for us. We did not stay the night though because there were bed bugs in our hotel room. We got a refund and found another hotel.
- Maria Teresa (10/5): - Only problem was with Experian - I arrived and Experian did not paid the Hotel - so I paid the hotel and Experian reimburse me a portion of the charge for the hotel - the hotel is very clean, give you clean towels - soap - shampoo, great service and the parking is in closed. Not very fancy but is great for resting taking shower and having your rental car safe.
- Verified traveler (4/5): not clean - it wasn’t clean bad shower no elevator
- Caroline (2/5): Many cockroaches in the room. - The hotel is in a very dodgy neighborhood and it was full of cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom (more than 20). We asked to change rooms and the new room had around 6 cockroaches. I would definetely not recommend.
- Brian (8/5): - Very clean and convenient. Very close to bus pick up and drop off. They place worked out well for 2 nights. However the area is a bit sketchy, would not recommend for a solo traveler
- Mary (6/5): - It was a bed to sleep in for the night.. friendly and wonderful staff. The shower was dirty, but it did have nice hot water. They are also very pet friendly!
- Luis D Suarez (8/5): - It's nice and quiet, great cable and wifi, a little far from public transportation
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Very clean, affordable, and exceptional service.
- Jianbin (4/5): - Terrible smell. Ants are crawling on the bed.
- Stanislaw (4/5): - Cheap rate and so is service. No towels change no bedsheets change for four days but someone who has access went through my belongings. Horrible
- RICHARD (4/5): Broken aircon and shower. Fix before next stay. - Aircon did not work. They came to fix it by reprogramming the aircon remote. 1 hour later, it broke again, so I had to pull the plug out of the wall as the only way to turn the aircon off. In the morning, I tried to reinsert the grey plug, but it didn't go back in the socket, which was loose on the wall.
I tried to have a shower, but both taps made scolding hot water, even in the sink. I had to fill the bucket to cool the water down but burned my arm. I could not turn the shower off, except I threw a towel over the fixture to stop the water spraying everywhere up-down left-right (the shower head was in disrepair), and this caused me to burn my hand.
When I left, all my belongings (bag, clothes, computers) were soaking wet from the steam, which filled the room.
There were many rooms in the hotel that I could have stayed in instead.
- DEVENDRA (10/5): Fine - It,was,more,than,expected,for,the,price,offered
- Isa (10/5): - The hotel is clean and cheap. We didn’t face any problem.
- Jaimie (4/5): - So loud!!! Noise from front desk area until 2am, then again early in the morning. One night there was even loud repetitive bangs at 4 in the morning. The room was nice and clean but the noise just isn't worth it, you won't sleep well
- Shamirah (6/5): - the price was decent however, I had to pay for taxi everywhere that I went the toilet was not working at times and the room did not look anything like the pictures
- RICHARD (6/5): Coming back soon - Good for a low-budget hotel. It was a big, double room and a little out-dated. Positives: a window to let out the dampness, super hot water (only if a sunny day), early checkin, and great WiFi. Negatives: I had to clean the taps handles myself because they had a clammy metallic smell. The room does become clammy with moisture also, but there was no smell of dampness or mildew. The dampness could be managed using the aircon, fan, and window and/or asking for housekeeping every day.
- Iris R (10/5): Normal - It was ok for one night
- Jose (2/5): - Do not stay here. Pay a bit more and go around the corner. Sheets had fun and coffee stains
- Alexandra (6/5): My stay - The hotel was nice overall. You get what you pay for. The room was clean, bed was decent, only problem i had was the noise. Walls were paper thin. You could hear everything in the downstairs lobby all night long. There was never any peace. But for the price it was worth it for one night before heading to the airport.
- Salvador (8/5): - Good to sleep
- Jonathan (6/5): Lovely staff, not great room - Very nice staff who were very helpful for me, however the room itself was not in great condition and had a strange smell.
It's fine for a budget one night before/after a flight or so, but if you want better, pay more and go elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Water is not hot. No wash towels available. Outlet in the room did not charge my phone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel Jardín was in a perfect location for what we wanted out of Cancun, downtown but not near the hotel zone, local but safe and comfortable while being near every essential store you'd need!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Awful beds and pillows. My room was in the lobby area, couldn't rest because people talking very very loud.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like that it was the cheapest thing I could find, even after taxes it was never more than $25 a night.
I did not like how noisy it was, there was construction going on during my stay (the construction was IN the hotel and no notice was given prior in an email or phone call). If the TV volume is loud in the lobby you can hear it all the way through the top floors due to how the hotel is constructed. The bathroom smelled bad, perhaps like a mildew smell? It is very basic hotel. 0 amenities. No elevator. Area is probably not somewhere you would want to walk at night (be aware of stray dogs! Most didn't seem too aggressive, but don't let your guard down.) Sheets were staines and pillows were also. Found a few fries under the bed and a clump of hair on the side of it. Toilwt paper looked used and so did the "toiletry bottles."
Advice: bring your own towels, bring Lysol, bring expectations for nothing other than a bed.
Staff was cool.
They have bottled drinks you can purchase ranging from 10 to 20 pesos.
- Kerry (4/5): - The hotel was OK, barely. First, you could not find it. Then you didn't want to find it because of the area. It is located in a ghetto area with trash on every street corner.
No drinking water available unless you purchase it. No hot water for a shower. No shampoo. No cups. One outlet across the room. Again, you would not want to walk there at night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of the ADO bus station and the main route for buses to the Zona Hotelera. Room was nice. I recommend not staying on the ground floor since you can't open the drapes (main window faces the hallway, not outside). Stay on an upper floor so you can open the drapes and get some light. My room had a small window facing the outside, but it was high up. Many stations to watch on television.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok place to stay, somewhat hidden so taxis couldn't find it.
- Trevor (2/5): - Property did not have hot water and the staff did not seem to care
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good for the price
This is Mexico you have to put up with the surounding
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the location market food ado bus station stors corrency for money
- Cristina (2/5): - We didn’t even bother checking in because the area was horrible ,not clean , safe . Wouldn’t recommend staying , pictures are deceiving .
- Alfredo (4/5): Sincerely, bad hotel - The room has not condition air. The guy that have to open the door (the principal entrance to the hotel) always is sleeping. There is lack of privacy (the bathroom window is in the principal corridor) and the zone is very awful. There is parking but in the street.
- Fabi (4/5): Bad experience - You can see the hotel tries it’s best to be a good hotel, nevertheless le facilities are not the great ones. They try to keep it clean and nice though.
But the most important issue was the security, the hotel is located in one of the most dangerous zones of all Cancun, very far to the north of the Cancun downtown, if you take one of the tours to the turist attractions they’ll normally drop you off in Cancun downtown late at night and barely no taxi is willing to take you to that hotel or will charge you extra since is very insecure.
Unfortunately I didn’t read any review regarding this issue hence why I’ll like to share it with other Expedia travelers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and Quiet - Chose this hotel because it was an Expedia favourite and my regular place was booked up. Am reasonably happy with the facilities and service.
- el pizon (10/5): for the price very good - i wanted to know how, to people live in cancun is fantastic
