Guest Reviews
- Mohammed (8/5): Go - Very beautiful location, near to metro, room clean, bathroom 1/2 and 1/2
Air condition very cold and control not working
Overall it's good for business or Solo trip
- terencez2025 (4/5): Zimpodcast - The reason for the poor rating due to the fact, I had no reservation and missed a flight and was simply looking for a hotel to rest after a stressful day of travel. The hotel does have its charms, the front office staff is swift and definately knows how to seal a deal. The rooms spacious as for the food did not get the chance to experience it as was rushing for my flight.
- OkanU26 (2/5): Zain International hotel sells escort girls - Unfortunately because of the cheap room rate, I stayed in this hotel. This pakistani hotel provides escort girls in sex business. There is a night club in the ground floor, around 10 Pakistani girls dancing, the club open till 04:00 am in the morning. Some hotel staff showed me the night club and offered 600 dirham for girls to stay in the room for sex, plus the receptionist wanted 100 dirham for the visitor to bring it your room. I said NO, I don’t want it. Also there is a massage room in the first floor, they do the same things there, sex business. I said NO again.
When I check-in, I booked the room online, the receptionist told me that I need to wait until 13:00 for check-in time, but some people check-in around 09:00 in the morning, the customers paid cash money ( the price higher than booking online) that is why the hotel staff gave the room to new customers straight away. Some people came with escort girls from outside and paid extra 100 dirham for the visitor.
Also there is brown blanket in the room, evet customer sleep on the same blanket, the hotel staff never change it, maybe someone had a sex on the blanket one day before and you will sleep in the same brown colour blanket.
Also when I checked out the receptionist didn’t let me to leave the hotel, firstly they checked the room, they wanted to make sure I didn’t steal anything from the hotel, after that the receptionist allowed me to leave the hotel. That is why I missed my flight. I never take anything belong to the hotel. I felt myself terrible because of their behaving. The hotel sells small water 4 dirham, this is 1.5 dirham in any shop outside. Also the location of the hotel is in very poor district. Just pay little bit more money and stay in a quality hotel. Zain International hotel licence must be cancelled. They do prostitution business.
One more thing, all the hotel staff knows what is happening in the hotel. The receptionist yaseen and the other receptionists offers any dirty business as long as you pay them money.
- Ajay (10/5): - All good
- 463m_r_aht (2/5): Terrible Customer Service at Zain hotel - My major concern is with the lady at the reception; Why is she so rude? Why does she scream at customers? What have they done to her?? I've never seen this kind of treatment in my entire life!
Secondly, the room offered to us was next to a bar where loud music was playing till 4am. We asked to change the room but nothing was done and no apologies. The room also smelt of strong cigarette smoke and yet it's a "non-smoking" hotel. When we asked about this, we were told by staff to "just open the window.." How rude!
- Amiraako (2/5): Poorer customer service specially receptionist staff - 0/10 start from parking, staff at reception u nid to argument with them before u check in holding ur id as a guarantee is against the law even we ask to remove the minibar they will force u to keep it customers serve poorer tv only 1 channel not Gud
- ABDUL (2/5): Worst - Totally not matching as per pictures area is not suitable for families
- Jassim (2/5): - Not recommend
- Mohammad (4/5): Not worth it! - Old hotel, poorly maintained and definitely not 3 stars. Cleaning is not done properly, carpets are stained, bath tub is broken and bed covers are torn. Ask for non smoking room and you get a room with ash tray. When you ask to confirm it is non smoking the answer is it is but they cannot do anything if someone smokes! The cleaning and management staff are friendly but the ladies in the reception seem to be overwhelmed and not willing to serve the customers. If possible they try to ignore you. The whole property seems like a failing hotel which might be close any day...
- Mohammad Naaz (6/5): - It's very poor service
No Drinking water, tea coffee
1 towel only It's very poor this is my 1st sty like this
I'm the your golden customers in Hotels.com last 4 years
- Rashedsaif11 (6/5): Just OK OK Hotel - service and basic courtesy is missing.
Rooms are ok and food was fine but there is a huge scope of improvement. The hotel should me more customer centric.
If it improves its service quality, this could be a good hotel
- lheavenice (8/5): Good value for an overnight stay - The hotel is located in Al Rigga which is an 8 minute walk from the Union Metro station. The room is small but has complete amenities. You have a bathtub and a small fridge. There’s no free water or coffee. You have to pay for it. However you can purchase from one of the stores nearby. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It’s good value for the money you paid for.
The receptionist and the usher guy should smile more often so they don’t get misinterpreted by the customers for being rude.
If I was asked if I will come back here, my answer would be maybe we will in the future.
- swelzand (8/5): Very good for price and location. - So yea this is one the best budget hotels in Rigga. I hardly have any cons for this as its only a 3 star hotel.. But pros yes..
Its checkin and check out times are great 12 pm check in and check out at 1 pm.
The rooms are small and very cozy.
Most important I look for cleanliness and yes they have clean new sheets.. However there is no drinking water bottles provided in the room and no tea/ coffee station. However it's not that important as there are plenty of 24 hours supermarket and restaurants just walking distance.
- 592shantym (2/5): Poor service from the day shift reception guy. - Checked in on 9th August just to spend a night there, the check in was very good thumbs up to the night manager and other colleagues..The room was super clean and room attendants were friendly and helpful especially the housekeeping supervisor... My problem was @check out the reception guy was very hostile, poor communication skills, poor service, and poor attitude, 'ushould employ people with manners... He was very rude even to change my 100euros and dint want to give me my receipt.... How can u tell a customer, we dint force you??? Where did u go to school and who hired you???? He has 0 hospitality experience.... Checked out today at 12 midday and that's my honest review... Apart from the rude reception guy everyone was super good
- hnhashmi (10/5): Wonderful stay - Nice staff and wonderful Service love to recommend and cheap to stay it in the heart of everything the wonderland shopping area food restaurant and metro they have there own parking in basement which is big thing for me to park my car there.
- cheryllynnea (10/5): Convenient and affordable hotel in Deira - Amazing rooms! I love the design and interior. Simple but with creativity. I also love the fact that it's situated in the center of Dubai. It's near Dubai's famous tourist spots. The hotel is also near the Metro so that's an advantage.
- sanzzum (8/5): it was nice stay - its was over all nice stay. the buffet lunch i loved it. i used sauna and swimming pool. also have facility to go beach. some changes are appreciated. near to metro station, malls. nearby i have got restaurants to changes my taste.
- sohang787 (8/5): Overall It was nice - If your on a budget then this hotel is good for you. It is very next to the Union Metro station and you don't need to switch lines all the time from red line to green line.
The hotel rooms are decent, the wifi works fine. Its a good place for a stop over or if you are in dubai just to shop.
- sanzzum (8/5): budget friendly hotel - Best hotel for business travelers. I will stay at Zain hotel again . Nice place
I liked their roast beef the most. The location, near at the airport.close to Union and Rigga metro and shopping centre. Comfortable room. Ideal for a short stay.
- mail2sankarcet (2/5): Stay Away - Just Stay Away! - I cannot think of anything positive about this hotel. Some people say that the location is great - there are much better places to stay in Dubai. Don't let location make you fall for this piece of junk. The hotel calls itself a 3-star hotel, even super budget lodges or hostels would be a 5 star by that scale.
A couple of friends and I (3 of us) had made an online booking for 5 nights for our short trip of Dubai. A few friends from Dubai who had come to pick us up at the airport dropped us at the hotel and we asked them to come to our room to spend a few minutes with us. The first impression itself disappointed us - it was nowhere close to the 3 stars we had hoped for. The check in was nothing but hassle free - we were charged 10 AED per night as Entertainment tax and also asked to deposit our passports (Which were our only ID we had on us) to which we objected. They wanted a 500 AED deposit instead which we had to pay since we didn’t want some shady hotel holding our valuable documents. They WILL hold your passport or be ready to shell a good amount as deposit.
When our friends (who had come to pick us up) joined us to the rooms they were stopped saying guests were not allowed to the rooms. We asked why and we got a reply that it was a “Family Hotel”. What is that supposed to mean??? One of my friends who has been in Dubai for over 10 years challenged this and they just said it’s a rule. We are pretty sure it is just something they have in place to avoid local UAE residents see something they shouldn’t be seeing. Something is really shady with this place.
Finally, our friends were given a 30 minute window (after surrendering their UAE id card and driver’s license) to accompany us to the room. We had booked a triple room paying extra money – what we got was a single room with 2 extra beds. There is no way that room could have been made to accommodate more than 1. Our friends hardly spent 5 mins in the room – they ran for their lives. Even the 3 of us felt so crowded and suffocated in the room but we had already paid the full fare so were stuck. The bathroom was super cramped with no ventilation and if you opened the window you could literally see the bathroom of the adjacent room. You get hot water throughout but that is about it. If you take a shower the whole bathroom floor would be drenched as the shower curtain only covers half the area, it is supposed to cover. Probably they cut the curtain in half and used it in two rooms – I find no other reason for it to be so small.
Since we were tried we crashed and the next morning we had to take turns to get ready. While one was getting ready the others had to be in bed otherwise we would keep bumping into each other. We went down for breakfast and I don’t want to comment on it at all. You get stale food! If you don’t want to end up in a hospital - stay away!!!!
We didn’t hear the music from the club maybe because it was situated away from us or maybe since it was not operational while we there. That is the only positive I can think off! If I could have given a negative rating for this hotel I would have done so gladly!
- 789_13_789 (2/5): Only nice location - Check in took around 50 min and we were alone in lobby. Bad sleeping quality, loud music from the club. Then they tried charging an unexpected tourism fee(it was included while booking) when checked out. At the time of arrival they wanted to keep our passport at their deposit!!!
- islamuk2 (4/5): Bad experience - I had flight from Bangladesh to Dubai.my next flight 29 DEC 2016 to UK.I had stay 1 night stay at this hotel.Reception was not very friendly. Room 201 was smelly. They keep your passport. After 12 they start disco. Music was soo loud.can't sleep.I call reception, they say it will finish 2 am .but they finished at after 3 am.4 am I sleep get up 6 am.bcz catch flight at 9.20 am.downstairs restaurant was not really nice.
Over all I will not stay anymore at this hotel future.
- J7184AGmichellew (2/5): Terrible - We booked for 2 adults and a 14 year old and paid accordingly. The room we were given was so small we couldn't open our suitcases. After 2 hours of dealing with the manager, we got it sorted. The receptionists are rude and unsmiling. We got woken at midnight by the bellboy ringing our phone to tell us he was dropping up our breakfast vouchers. He then arrived and banged on the door until we opened it. At MIDNIGHT. Our rooms were not made up every day. They keep your passport. Breakfast is awful. Stick to the tea and toast. Music until all hours and the air con resembles something taking off at the airport. Bad nights sleep had by all. Phone broken. Rooms smell.
- hnhashmi (10/5): Nice Location - Great place to live nice location near to shopping area and metro would recommend to everyone the staff is great and specially the security guards are very helpful nice staff on the reception dera is good place
- XavierL91 (2/5): Worryng bad Policies Hotel - This hotel policies are worrying, because they held captive passport to the guests and you walk around the city without identity and can not make any management ain your identity, the staff no kindly and unprofesional service into room
- Chris (6/5): Great location - if the price is right - Short weekend stay for leisure purposes. Hotel was very well located for the metro, airport and shops and free parking. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was good but I only had one meal there, and no breakfast. Room was sufficient in size and clean and the bed was comfortable. Free wifi was available but I had to keep logging in which was a little irritating. There is a nightclub (Indian style) but I did not hear any noise from it on the upper floor. No free water available but there is a mini bar. However, there is a supermarket very close by if you need anything. I would stay again if the price is right.
- Saad (4/5): Stay and go Away - The stay was good in general, but expecting much more maintenance.
- Haard (8/5): Average 3 star hotel with high priced amenities - Prompt check-in even at mid night also. Bed was with quite old fashioned blankets. Otherwise its quite spacious & bathroom with all amenities. Other room amenities like water also its chargeable ! go with this if you cant place anywhere!
- zein (4/5): Book a better place if you can afford it - Was okayish I guess. Staff wasn't the most friendly or efficient. No training I don't think.
Didn't like the fact that I had to leave my passport with reception. I've stayed in hotels in dubai before and I haven't had the need to leave my passport, they usually just take a photocopy of it.
There plenty of room for improvement. Plenty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Would not recommend - You get what you pay for. I made the mistake convincing myself that I would use this as merely a place to sleep. I've lived and visited Dubai for 5 years now. I can say this was the worst place I've stayed at. I checked out the day after my 6 night stay and moved to my usual hotels in the marina.
The positive is its relatively inexpensive to hotels in downtown, the Palm or the marina. The negative is if you're used I staying at 3+ star hotels, not to mention 4 and above, this is unbearable.
All the reviews about them wanting to keep your passport are true. Also they don't give you the room you paid for on Hotels.com. My room said it would have a balcony/patio. It didn't.
- Jack (4/5): Economical night in Dubai - Stayed for one night and the neighbourhood was noisy during the late night, maybe because it was Thursday and Friday is a religious day. Still people talking at 3:00AM is unexpected. The hotel was extreme in it's regulation of mini bar abuse.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't hand over your Passport.. - Spent the night there on a layover. I was warned that they keep, your passport and decided to go ahead because I only needed the room for a few hours and it's located near Union Metro. Unfortunately when I went to check out I had to wait 15 minutes while the customer ahead of me begged for his passport so he could do some business in Dubai. The staff were unmovable. They would not give it to him even after he agreed to put down a deposit. Next thing security is surrounding the guy in case it's gets ugly. On principle they have no right to keep passports and in any event it's bad business. On that point alone I will not be back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Worst Hotel Staff in Dubai - If you want an experience of getting into a prison that is how you will be treated by the reception staff.
They told me that want an deposit as they want to be sure you don't steal anything from the rooms What?
I had a chat with so many guests and all got treated the same. What a waste for good facilities? Hotels forget that people pay for hotels for service and not to serve time.
The housekeeping frowns if you call them and Internet is only one device next is chargeable at exorbitant rates. Oh fellow travelers you got to experience this bad experience to develop a taste.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Hotel Poor Staff - Travellers with online bookings are looked down upon.
The reception staff is very rude and is not welcoming. They want a compulsory deposit of 500 Dir even if you have prepaid the booking else they will hold your ID or passport.
Logic they gave for this is that if you consumed any items from the fridge or you broke the TV or furniture. That is the welcome you get. Most of all they are rude and arrogant and treat you like a prisoner coming to a jail and not a guest to a hotel. Do you want to stay in such a place. Although the hotel is nice and clean. Choice is yours. I will not stay here again even if they give me a free stay.
- Not Provided (8/5): Good - Pleasant stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Excellent - Get away
- mr S L (8/5): Vert well run Hotel - Very nice hotel with gd service .
Did not get disturbed in the morning
Area was central to transport and shopping
- Mohamed Ali (8/5): V.good to stay nice location - Fair price
- Balasubramanian (8/5): Very nice hotel - Very nice hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel for families and business travelers
- Sumeet Raj (8/5): Decent Hotel - Decent hotel for the price I paid. The hotel manager was really good. Despite of chargeable WIFI, he gave me a complimentary 12 hour wifi access which was really nice of him. The only bad thing is that the night club music which is audible even till the 5th floor. Overall, I would definitely come back to this hotel
- kenny (8/5): Nice hotel - It was a nice experience at zain international hotel. i enjoyed the serenity of the environment. the staffs were wonderful, accommodating and lively. i will like to stay there anytime am in dubai
