It’s definitely worth the little extra $ to stay at the 4-br cottage for the undisrupted lake view. Dawn is excellent, welcoming and accommodating. I work in tourism industry myself, if it wasn’t for the pandemic I would’ve visited interstate or overseas for holidays. It was my first time to visit Jervis Bay and we all love it. Will definitely go back and support our local tourism.

- Neyvinka (10/5): Peaceful and serene location - This was a fantastic location, close enough to local beaches and shops however was set back from the street and nestle on the shores of the lake. Nothing was too much trouble for the host Dawn, who was so friendly and quick with a couple of additional requests I had. This is a perfect winter getaway, the heater works a treat and Dawn kindly provided some extra blankets for the chilly nights.

Dungowan itself backs on to spectacular water views. The apartment was clean and spacious with a large balcony. It is also pet friendly which served our dog well.

An email from the management went into my junk mail so we didn't get a note informing us that they would not be home when we arrived and telling us how to get it. Our phone also was not working so we had to use a phone booth up the street, once we talked to them we wew in ok. The unit was big but the beadroom small. It was clean but the mirrors and windows we wiped but I am not sure what with as there were big smears on them. Temperature of the shower was very hard to regulate, one small hand soap and a container of hand soap was supplied. The kitchen was fine although no dish clothes or towels were supplied, just a sponge. The fan and I think light above the stove did not seem to work. We were in apartment 5 and there was a suite above us, the sound proofing is not good, luckily the people were relatively quiet.

- Onofre (8/5): Wonderful - This is a great place to rest and relax. The environment is peaceful and serene. You can have a BBQ and throw a line to fish at the same time. Being a Pet friendly accommodation is a Bonus.

Got to see Dolphins, whales and pet kangaroos. Dawn and Dirk were very friendly and we definitely hope to go back in the summer
- Christine (10/5): Beautiful views, friendly residential animals. - My mother in law and I had an amazing stay. The view was beautiful, a bit windy but absolutely beautiful! There were cheeky chickens around that made our stay enjoyable. Dirk and Dawn were absolutely amazing and very accommodating. Definitely will be back to stay and hopefully this time with more family so we can share our experience with them!

- Bel (4/5): Disappointing - Attempted to contact the owners or manager on numerous occasion prior to our stay but every time i rang it went to an answering machine with no option to leave a message. I wanted to confirm that we would be placed in the apartment with water views as per the description online. Prior to arriving you receive a text message with the pin number to open the door. When we arriving we noticed that our apartment was at the back with only side views of the water and our balcony was the walkway/ entry into another apartment overlooking the water. Found the owner onsite and attempted to discuss the matter with him but he was pretty blunt and couldnt really care. He advised all the other apartments had been booked except the cottage which he wanted an extra $40 per night for. I was extremely annoyed by his lack of interest but most of all the false advertising (apartment description) on last minute. I selected apartment 2 because IT SAID WATER VIEWS and it was the same cost as the other apartments! When we walked into the apartment it had a really bad odour. We were provided with 2x towels only (for a 4 day stay for 2 ppl). The double bed was very uncomfortable probably abour 25+ yrs old .. the bed's hindges and wood/metal frame falls off. We requested more toilet paper and were supplied with 1x roll ONLY!?! There is no instruction manual or visitors information at all. TV is connected to the internet ..very complicated (Netflix, Youtube etc) and so we didnt use it for the first 2 days
- Verified traveler (6/5): Noisy but ideal location - The noise insulation was not good as we could hear our neighbour's phone vibrating upstairs. The facilities were basic but renovated and apartments were in a really nice quiet bay.

- arrived69 (8/5): Breathe in the sea air - As a couple we stayed at aparrment 1. Water view from the front door. Apartment was clean and well appointed. The second bedroom was thankfully very roomy for our luggage. Master bedroom may require a thicker /new mattress as it gave little support for a middle aged couple...:) Location great, close drive to all the great beaches and towns for dinners, outings and supermarket shopping. Local shop for supplies walking distance. Stroll to water's edge and fish off the jetty or just drink your coffee. Dirk and Dawn are lovely. I would return.
- mishka (8/5): Lovely apartment in a beautiful location - Our family enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was lovely, clean and had a modern kitchen with everything you would need. Free wifi and the smart TV was a bonus. We loved the waterfront location and how close it is to beautiful beaches (Hyams and Murray’s beaches in particular). We can’t wait to return!
- Jun Su (10/5): Beyond my expectation. - Good apartment. For the next Jervis bay trip, I will reserve this place again without the second thought. It was much better than I expected. For school holiday family travel, I was planning to visit Jervis Bay. Mostly I choose brand hotels when going travel but I couldn’t find those around Jervis Bay. So I randomly booked this checking the feedback is good from tripadvisor. When I entered the room, my family became happy at a glance. My room was ‘Apartment 3’ that is facing lake side view and 2nd floor. Some other rooms are also lake side and some are not. So if the room is available, request a lake side room. Mostly clean and the wifi speed is fast enough. I could get 20% discount voucher for Dolphin cruise too. Also it provides the netflix streaming from TV that made my kids enjoy. Woolworth and Aldi is only 3 km away. (7 minutes). Close to Hyams beach and some points of Booderee national park. Most of all, this place itself is good to refresh and rest with calm and beautiful big lake view. The staff and owner were very kind too.

- Jason (10/5): Peaceful getaway! - Had an amazing stay at Dungowan Waterfront Apartments. Modern apartments with gorgeous views of the bay. Short drive to many beautiful beaches and shops. Also, the owners were lovely. I definitely recommend and will return in future!
