- Tal (2/5): Not a pleasant experience - Really unpleasant experience. The first room we received had smelly bathroom, so we asked for an exchange. Generally, the property is old and uninviting. There was one polite man at the reception, the rest were quite indifferent.

- Anthonyzzyz (4/5): Not recommended - Look, it's Battambang. A small city/large town in a developing country. Expectations have to be moderated. Even so, this was pretty poor. Good stuff first. The room was a good size, the aircon worked, the fridge worked, and the location is pretty good. However the listing is false in a number of ways. The restaurant is not operating. Breakfast us a myth. The hot water takes about fifteen minutes to kick in, and there was no hot water to the wash basin at all. Half the powerpoints are clapped out so the plug just falls out of them. Loose (live?) electrical wire just poking through a hole into the cupboard. "Do not disturb" indicators don't work. Overall, I'd probably suggest not coming to Battambang. If you do, don't stay here.

- sopheah (4/5): - Room was not ready at check in. No elevator. Poor Wi-Fi. Poor A/C. No privacy at pool. Furnitures in room old. A lot of wear and tear to room. Staff was courteous.
- curtis (6/5): - This hotel came highly recommended and has a beautiful garden area and pool. Beautiful backdrops for wedding photos. The room I had was large, spacious and clean but showing its age. The beds are firm but we’re comfortable enough for a short stay. Definitely a popular place to stay for the value and amazing staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Large room, quiet, very comfortable bed (mattress on the floor). Unfortunately it was let down by the bathroom, which got completely wet due to the open shower and the shiny floor tiles then got very slippery. Quiet pool and small garden area, pretty enough to be used by a wedding couple for their photos during our stay. Not much in the immediate area in terms of food options but we discovered Cafe Eden on the other side of the river, an easy walk for good food.
- Susan (8/5): - The young man who ran the front desk was helpful, kind, and gave great directions. He went out of his way and we approached him. The young lady…not so much. This property has no restaurant, coffee shop and no free water ( the young lady charged 1000R for 1 small bottle). Not cool. Happily it did not happen again. The rooms have odd lighting. The bathroom light and fan went on every time you entered. The room was very large and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. There were 2 photo shoots there during our stay. If you like to walk it’s got a great location. Mixed bag

- streamginger (4/5): Disappointed. - I stayed for 2nights. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice breakfast, friendly staffs.... everything was quite alright before i experience their laundry service. I got my shirts completely ruined. It can happen sometimes but they didn’t let me know about it when they hand it to me. I had to complain it myself and they said only the laundry fee can be refunded which is only 0.25 dollar per a shirt. Very disappointed.... Just be careful with the laundry service!
- RickAngBC (4/5): Food and pool good - our room was terrible. - Very disappointed that we did not get the room that we booked and were told there were no other rooms available. Very large room but the safe didn't work, the mini fridge froze our food, the lighting was terrible, the wall paper was peeling, the side lamp didn't work. The worst was the shower - it needs to be ripped out! Disgusting and mouldy! The water leaks through the shower door into large water puddle in front of the sink. Hugely disappointed. Perhaps we just happened to get a terrible room. DO NOT GET A6!! As well, there is a building being built right beside this one which greatly impacted the peace at the pool with loud sawing and hammering. Could be a great place, but I cannot recommend.
- 680MichaelD (10/5): Excellent - A couple of small gripes to start. Our room A02 had a floor level bed on a raised platform. Not ideal for two fifty somethings.!! The bathroom shower drainage had its own special route but the non slip floor dries off quickly. The positives - hotel was well located with only a ten minute stroll over the bridge to the centre of town - a nice sized room next to the pool within a lovely garden setting. The pool beds were also very good and pool towels supplied. - a good set menu selection of Asian and European choices for breakfast - we ate two evening meals in the bar/restaurant area which were delicious, both of which were made up of Cambodian local dishes. The real positives - The Staff !!!! Absolutely outstanding service from everybody, from the team on reception organising laundry, extra keys, booking of bus tickets etc to the lady serving breakfast with a smile and freshly cut flowers, to the two girls running the bar / restaurant of an afternoon and evening who were a delight to interact with. Their smiling faces and willingness to have a laugh and a joke with us made our nights great fun. The only miserable person we came across was I believe the actual owner who spent her time patrolling the premises, checking what was going on. No acknowledgement or eye contact made with her paying guests. She should take a leaf out of her staff's book on how to interact with customers. Overall, a great stay. Thanks to everyone concerned.
- michellesJ921IF (6/5): Good enough - Staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely. The room was spacious, it had a small shared balcony with the next room so was not private. The bathroom needs some work. The shower head over the bath did not work and the other shower head which was in the corner made it impossible to stand under, and the while floor became wet, we also had no hot water on day 2 of our stay. Breakfast was just ok, pancakes were the best menu item. On day 2 I received a coffee which came with ant covered sugar packet! that didn’t really bother me but I was surprised it wasn’t noticed by the staff. The pool was lovely, but the mosquitoes seemed to love it too, there were never enough pool towels available. Overall the hotel is fine, I would still recommend it and with a few improvements it could be a really lovely place to stay.
- birdwatcherNewcastle (8/5): Lovely! - What a delightful retreat this hotel is. It is set in pretty gardens with lots of birds and with a pleasant swimming pool. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the garden which was a nice place to relax. The staff were very helpful. They arranged a tuk tuk transfer from the ferry terminal for five dollars. The tuk tuk driver was excellent,,thank you. The food here was tasty but breakfast was poor value. I would definitely recommend staying here. Battambang is an interesting town. We stayed only two nights. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, situées au calme à l'arrière et ont tout le confort attendu. Personnel très serviable. Emplacement très proche du centre, nous avons circulé à pied. En partance pour Siem Reap nous avons réservé une voiture avec chauffeur pour 45$ auprès de l'hôtel. Très bon service. Rien à reprocher !

- L2911ROtonym (8/5): Short stay - We stayed at Vimean Sovannaphoum resort for 2 nights. We're a family of five and so booked 2 rooms. On checkin we were told our rooms were not close to each other, which was a little disappointing given that it was obvious the booking was for a family but since we were only staying two nights it wasn't a deal breaker. The resort is about a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre so it's reasonably well located. Overall the resort is a little tired, the rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint for example but the grounds are nice. The rooms are clean and a good size. We ate lunch in the restaurant on both days and the food isn't too bad and the free breakfast is also not too bad. The restaurant staff are friendly and efficient and the reception staff helped us with some transport issues we had. It's a quiet, small resort and for a two night flyby Battambang visit it did the job. Particularly good for the price per room. A solid 3.5 stars if I could, giving it a 4 for value for money.

Felt good to stay there - not an overbearing large hotel.The room was large and very spacious. Breakfast included fresh fruit and a choice of western and asian plates. Staff were very friendly. Location was excellent - 10 min walk across the bridge to the shops and market.
- ClaudioB791 (8/5): Nicely located hotel in Battambang - Friendly service, nice location, OK rooms. Pool and surrounding could be better taken care of. That being said, we stayed only one day in Battambang on the way to Thailand. It was enough. Not worth staying much longer.
- ChennyChonchie (10/5): Delightful tranquility in Battambang!. - Lovely double aspect first floor room overlooking beautiful garden and pool area. Clean, comfortable and spacious with shared balcony. Free tuk-tuk pick up from bus stop. Limited choice breakfast menu although decent tasty portions. A 15min walk across the river from the centre compensated for by the tranquil surroundings. A few bar and hotel restaurants adjacent along with a very traditional Cambodian eatery. Used one of the property's tuk-tuk drivers for a tour which was efficient and reasonably priced. The process for activating the room's safety deposit box required telephoning to reception for a code which could be overheard by staff and therefore potentially insecure.

Our fridge didnt work, bathroom flooded when using the shower, and we have so far lost power 4 times in a matter of hours. Our room is beautiful and lovely and comfy A02. We still have a non working fridge which is really frustrating and they cant understand me to get it fixed. The pool is nice with a temple backdrop as seen in the photos. Lets hope things improve
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great on the river, a 15 minute walk or short tuk tuk ride to town centre. Very quiet here (except for the rooster next door who has trouble reading the time) The hotel itself is nice with large,clean rooms. Some of the outside amenities were a little run down and in need of a lick of paint. The winner for us was the office staff very helpful and organised our trips to bat cave and bamboo train as well as finding us seats on a bus to Phnom Penh when all seemed booked out due to end of Khmer New Year Holidays. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend if you don't mind not being right in centre of town.

Not a breakfast buffet but there was a good choice of fixed menus (both Western and Asian). Reception arranged an excursion by tuk tuk with an English speaking driver. This was good. The hotel offered to pick us up from the bus. We told them the bus company and that we were coming from Phnom Penh. You would think the driver would know the correct bus station but apparently he went to the wrong place. After making 3 phone calls to the hotel and waiting 20 minutes, we eventually took our own tuk tuk. Western breakfast option took a long time. 35 minutes to fry two eggs!
- Lou (6/5): Ok. Cheap but you can do better in Battambang - On first impressions this place could be lovely. Individual colonial style French buildings, lovely gardens & a nice pool. Sadly it did not live up to this. Our room did not have a bed. It was just a mattress on the floor. We are in our mid 40’s and it all felt a little studenty. We asked if we could change rooms to a room with a bed. I mean the least you expect when you book a hotel is a bed, right?? The lady at reception told us that was not possible, even though we saw at least 4 rooms check out and the hotel wasn’t full. We were offered a down grade to a bungalow room, with no offer of financial compensation. We declined as although it did have a bed it had no glass in the windows - just shutteres and so we knew it would be hot and also potentially invaded by mosquitoes. Also there were no ‘do not disturb signs’ and the cleaners kept on ringing the doorbell whilst I was in the shower. I eventually had to get out and go to the door to ask if they could come back later and they replied with ‘we need to clean your room now’. I reiterated that they had to return later as I was in the shower and they did eventually leave. Also there is a huge amount of building work happening (not sure if it’s part of the hotel or not) next door & the builders kick off at 7am! Even on Sundays. We had a door that lead on to a patio area but this was full of rubbish. A dead large plant, a ladder, some rubble from the builders & a semi broken chair. There were some staff that were friendly
- AnneCCC (8/5): Excellent resort - We love this resort - excellent gardens, pool and a relaxing ambiance. The rooms are massive with big bathrooms - excellent bang for buck and just a stone's throw from the river side and plenty of good restaurants.

Dommage car la clim est silencieuse. De plus, la réception nous a vendu des tickets de bus au prix fort des meilleures compagnies et nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un bus de la compagnie la moins chère du pays...

- tonyking8652 (6/5): A Lovely idea...but...! - The location is good, the overall layout of the hotel is pleasing but there are some serious issues relating to how this place is run, mainly related to maintenance; more specifically cleanliness. On first glance the rooms and the garden look idyllic, but closer attention reveals very perfunctory cleaning, including previous occupant"s UNWANTED DURIAN left in the fridge!!! Room cleaning staff were more interested in chatting to their friends on mobile phones than using their 'Nil technology" to clean the floor! Similarly, the garden and pool area looks nice,but loungers are covered in dust , finished meals left for hours and the area behind the pool is a complete shambles! To the management- get a grip on these lazy maintenance people!
- 679marekp (6/5): Good option for a Battambang stay - We stayed for 3 days / 2 nights and thought this hotel was good value. The room was spacious, clean and had good air conditioning. The little Balcony was ok. The pool was clean and a welcome relief from the heat. The drinks from the lobby bar and bar fridge were reasonably priced. Our Tuk tuk driver who was affiliated with the hotel was friendly, spoke good English and took the time to work out the best way for us to see the attractions we had previously identified. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel is in a good location. It is a pleasant walk into the town center (or a quick Tuk Tuk ride). We got our laundry done here for a bargain $6USD and we had a fair bit! Breakfast was included but was not a buffet and I had a really small piece of bacon (see photo) however we just found that amusing and i wasn't left hungry. The shower and bathroom were clean but not as good as others, but again this was just a small thing. Overall the room, breakfast, the laundry service and numerous beers and soft drinks totalled about $100USD for the 2 nights which we thought was good value.

I ate only once at the hotel restaurant and it was good (fried noodles with vegetables). Within walking distance to the other side of the river. Food vendors setup in the evening along the riverside across the street from the hotel and I found some good eats there. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

- Nate (8/5): Good hotel but beware of the noisy chickens - This is a good hotel. The pool area is great. Very clean and nice rooms. The issue is our room backed onto a garden with a large amount of chickens. The roosters start making noise about 4am and don't stop until daylight. We would suggest ear plugs. A shame as the hotel is perfect apart from this.
- AsiaGypsyGirl (10/5): Boutique hotel - Stayed here twice during trips to the countryside. Hotel is clean, rooms spacious, aircon works well. Beautiful grounds and pool. Breakfast was very good and you have a wide choice of entrees. Walking distance to town. New ' container' beer garden close by. Staff are very helpful

- RDacanay (6/5): Beautiful hotel garden and good location - This hotel is walking distance to all key attractions in Battambang. We booked an executive double room. The room was on the ground floor facing a beautiful garden. The room was mostly clean apart from some dust along the feature wall and the doors had gaps where mosquitos can come in so you just need to make sure you spray mosquito repellant before sleeping and also ask the team for mosquito spray to the bugs dont get in. The staff are helpful with organising tuk tuks and day trips. Easy to get to the night markets and lovely restaurants from this hotel. Nice breakfast options and the staff are always polite. You will need to wait 3 mins before the hot water flows in the shower. Overall it was a nice stay.
- kriss (6/5): Agréable étape - 2 nuits à Battambang et un peu déçus par cet hôtel. Cadre très agréable avec joli petit jardin et petite piscine (très bruyant pendant notre séjour car envahie par des enfants sans surveillance jusque très tard le soir !) Nous avions pris une "suite", enfin une grande chambre très "kitch" et qui aurait besoin d'une peu de modernité. La salle de bain se transforme en vraie piscine dés que vous voulez prendre une douche, le carrelage n'est vraiment pas conçu pour ! (ils ont prévu le coup avec une paire de tong en plastique à l'entrée de la salle de bain !) . Literie très correcte. Bon petit déjeuner, nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant mais le soir du 31 décembre impossible de boire un verre à 23h, tout était fermé ! Le veilleur de nuit a juste pu nous sortir 2 canettes de jus de fruit du réfrigérateur ! Le personnel, très très nonchalant (tout est fait au ralentis !), est néanmoins très agréable et près à rendre service. Ils se sont occupé de réservé taxi, tuc-tuc, massages et tout était parfait !

- jaydenemr (8/5): Great relaxing place to stay - A lovely little place to stay on Battambang with beautiful gardens and a lovely pool. The apartment was huge and clean. It had a kettle and tea/coffee. The breakfast was nice and the staff were extremely helpful. It was a lovely place, but the blinds didn’t close so we had to hang towels. Also the tap in the bathroom wasn’t working very well.
- Steffi (6/5): Preis-Leistung ok, freundliches Personal - Wir waren für eine Nacht in Battambang und haben eine eher preiswertere, aber gute Unterkunft gesucht. Das trifft beim Vimean S. Resort soweit zu. Das Hotel liegt nah am Fluss. Das andere Ufer ist über die Lage Brücke relativ schnell zu erreichen. Insgesamt ist es leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber unser Aufenthalt war soweit ok und es war weitestgehend sauber (bis auf die Liegen am Pool). Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aber nicht übermäßig bemüht. Alles in allem ok.

The restaurant needs some more options and better food though...other than this, beautiful pool, nice gardens, spacious rooms, and walking distance to lots of main points of visit.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet Hotel et même si tout n'est pas parfait ( dans les détails , Hotel vieillissant ) nous avons passé un super séjour ! Tres grande chambre, balcon..,personnel souriant et gracieux
- Ashley (10/5): Beautiful pool, Fantastic location! - The staff at this hotel was so friendly! The pool was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious and airy with super comfortable beds. Beautiful landscaping, and the hotel has a great location in town. One small prob was very weak wifi in the rooms.

- Jill (10/5): Relaxing stay - Our room was large, light, and well appointed. The balcony overlooking the garden and pool is fine, except it is shared with the room next door -lucky for us it was vacant during our stay. The pool is excellent, and the garden has a selection of seats and swinging sets in the shade. Breakfast was served in the small restaurant - individually cooked, and while limited options, a range of cooked and continental. Staff were friendly, and eager to help. An enjoyable stay.
- nate (8/5): Good value for battambang - I wasn't expecting much since it is in Battambang which isn't exactly a tourist destination. But this hotel filled our needs for a clean and decent place to stay. I would recommend that they get new AC units since the one in our room barely worked.
- David (10/5): Great little boutique hotel - We had 3 nights at this hotel. It's such a pleasant place. Big big spacious room, great value for money. Beautiful garden. Quick check in.though breakfast selection a bit simple but tasty enough. All the staffs are very accommodating. Great swimming pool for us have young family. We really and truely enjoyed our stay. Oh their restaurant cooks very yummy food. We will come back.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Cool comfortable hotel with nice and spacious rooms. Kitchen closes quite early, 9 pm, and the quality of the amenities is okay. Beds, however, are very comfortable and the pool is nice. Overall I recommend as it was a very comfortable and nice stay.
