- Andrew (9/5): Very stylish, calm and friendly hotel. A short taxi ride from the centre. - Very stylish, thoughtful and calm hotel to stay in. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Good breakfast selection. A 10-15 minute taxi ride to the town centre but easy to book a taxi.

- Mark (9/5): - Quiet area lovely ambience inside the hotel with inner garden courtyard. Onsen tick vg. Rooms very good. Breakfast good. Shuttle to railway. A bit of a double edged sword because location is away from popular Kanizawa sights but if you have chosen this hotel then you won't mind a taxi ride or to 2. If you arrive before 3pm the location doesn't exactly cry out good experiences on the doorstep for lunch etc but goes again to the slightly more remote location which is good but to an extent if you are traveling independently. I feel hotels of this calibre should at least consider light refreshments maybe sandwiches/bento boc and coffee to their guests to go with the more upmarket audience they want to attract. We went out locally in rain to find lunch only to have my wife fall badly on slippery pavement and the having to seek medical attention and an injury that persisted beyond nearly 4 weeks in Japan.
- Mark (9/5): It will be difficult to match the Sainoniwa Hotel on our 3 plus weeks in Japan - Ultra friendly and absolutely immaculate staff and facilities. Rooms good size and bathroom excellent. Station transfers every 30 mins. Art on display very interesting. Not necessarily a negative as it means it is in a quiet area but it is a taxi to get places. Hardly expensive considering the standard of the hotel but just one to be aware of.

All the extras - generous personal products, exceptional breakfast, shuttle service to the train station, highly attentive staff. Many Japanese features like hotel robes (pants & top) to wear around the property, separate slippers for inside your room and around the property, public mineral baths (male & female), free washer and dryer. Extremely clean in all areas of the hotel.

Nice decor, spacious room, excellent breakfast with both japanese and western choice, great attention to details. Very friendly and helpful staff. The onsen has nice design. It's kind of cute that they will show the national flags of the guests at the reception as a way to welcome us. It may be a bit of a walk from the train station but they have shuttle service almost every half an hour.

- Betty (10/5): - We took advantage of the shuttle transport from Kanazawa Station, which was just the begining of the many services this lovely hotel offers guests. Upon arrival we were greeted and our check in was processed in a very personal and welcoming manner, making us feel special and valued. The hotel has an absolutely beautiful interior featuring muted colours, subtle lighting, a peaceful courtyard garden, restful public areas overlooking a lovely peripheral traditional Japanese garden, extensive artwork displays, reading areas on every floor and a rooftop area for contemplation. Our room was arranged for maximum use of space and serenity, with wonderfully thoughtful features to enhance our feelings of cleanliness and comfort. In our many years of travel, my husband and I have never before stayed in such a truly lovely and restful environment - our stay at the Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel will be remembered as a highlight of our first trip to Japan.
- Robert (10/5): - A GREAT place to stay In Kanazawa. The location is not easily walkable, so we either took a taxi or walked to a nearby bus station to get around, but everything else about this hotel was close to perfect and well worth the minor inconvenience of location. The hotel itself is uniquely beautiful in a modern way, everything is orderly and spotless. The room feature both traditional mat floors and futons, or beds with mattresses (all in the same room). The public baths are very spacious and clean (men vs women), and the breakfast is outstanding. 90% of the guests are comfortable walking around in their kimono/robes, and 90% are Japanese/asian. Truly feels like a place that caters to Japanese, but also very accommodating to westerners, so definitely stay here if you want a great Japanese experience, and did I mention the room rates are very competitive, if not on the low side.

- Kapo (9/5): A top notch hotel in Kanazawa except the location is a bit far from the town center. - It is a first class hotel in Kanazawa. Room is large, clean, spacious; breakfast is great; and have a large onsen. It also provides shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa station. The location is off from the center of town and is a long walk from the Kanazawa station, although the hotel provides shuttle bus and locker services.
- Misako (10/5): - 近くにあるお寿司屋さんに行きましたが、常連さんがいっぱいだったからか、私達が入っても注文も全く聞いてもらえず。ビールを運んできていた女性のからも何も声をかけてもらえなくて、どうしたら良いか分からずでした。 お客様が煙草を吸い始める段階で、嫌な気分になって出て来ましたが。結局、その時も何も声がけがなくて、こんなお店があるのかとビックリしました。 その後、金沢駅まで行きましたが。早く食事をしてホテルでゆっくりしようと思ってた計画がすっかり台無しになりました。

- Atsuko (10/5): - Wonderful hotel. Beautiful room and great breakfast buffet, the hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. It is a little ways from the main touring areas but the hotel provides shuttle service to the train station so was no problems. The shuttle driver actually took our luggage to the hotel so that we can tour around before going the hotel to check in which made our first day go very smoothly. All in all, we had a wonder stay!

The staff were really friendly and helpful The room was super clean, spacious and well stocked Free drinking water in the rooms and free drinks in the lounge Delicious and varied breakfast Excellent free washing and drying facilities Lovely thoughtful extra touches - kids area, Ice lollies, seating area on each floor, yukatas and sandals Roof terrace had magnificent views of the mountains Shuttle bus to the station was really helpful Hotel onsen was really nice and very clean All in all we can't fault this hotel and would highly recommend
