• Daniel (8/5): Can’t go wrong - Some might call this a typical LBI no-frills hotel. On some levels, I would agree. However, the rooms are always very clean, always get a nice hot shower, the staff is tremendous, and they have a very nice pool! There’s also activities for the kids to play outside, a great bonus. Gas grills are available to use with plenty of picnic tables to hang out and cook poolside. Our air conditioner was a little wonky this time, but it was adequate. Labor Day weekend prices were a bit steep, but that’s hard to avoid on LBI. This is also a great location literally across the street from the beach. Can’t ask for too much more!
• Michele (10/5): great service - Check in was great. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We went early because we had to leave our rental house. We just wanted to see if we could get our beach badges and the woman told us if the room was ready we could check in and get in the room. It was ready so we checked in at about 11 a.m. instead of 3. The pool was really nice and clean. Good location, close to Beach Haven town center. They also had a bunch of gas grills you could use to cook. The grills where really clean too. We will definitely stay here again.

• Debbie (4/5): antiquated lodging - the room smelled like bleach when we opened the door. the bed just had a mattress on six legs, It was not even anchored to the floor, like a roll out bed. The floor was kind of sticky, and sandy feeling. There was very loud music in the court yard that played all day till about 7pm. There was a bed lamp that did not work, I told the front desk but it was never fixed, so we switched it with another, even that one was to dim.

The grounds and the rooms are clean,however my feet were black from walking on the floors in the room. Might need to wash the floors. I would bring my slippers next time. It was nice and quiet,though we did stay at a quieter time of year. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away,and easy access to the beach and the beautiful beach at the nature preserve a short drive away. Easy check out. Also a nice pool on the grounds.

• Patricia (10/5): - I just spent three days in Beach Haven, NJ for a 52 year reunion at a local theatre. The Sea Spray motel was the perfect spot for my stay. My room was spotlessly clean, the shower had plenty of hot water and the bed was “firm” but quite comfortable. There is a pool and it is an easy walk across the street to the beach. Nearby are a dub shop and frozen custard. There is a shuttle that drives up and down the island and stops right out front. This is not a fancy resort—it is a family friendly classic “motel.” Very happy I chose this spot for my stay!

It’s at the end of the island, so it’s nice and quiet but still close to shopping and food places. Very affordable too, highly recommend!

We told the front desk and someone came and looked at it but it made no difference. I loved the cleaning crew of teen boys. They are personable, kind, and do a great job. They arrived early each day to clean the room, usually while we were out in the morning. I will definitely return!

The amenities are quite nice too - beautiful pool, BBQ grills, games for the kids, etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. So glad we found the Sea Spray Motel and we'll definately be back.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Gross hotel, rude management - Checked in with my small kids and they gave us a room that stunk of cigarettes. Went to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do as there was no vacancies (while not being super nice about it). After I broke down crying trying to find a new place, he “felt bad” and mysteriously found me an available room. Hotel was dirty, not up to par, and the manager was rude. I’ll never stay here again and definitely don’t recommend

• meg (10/5): - We/ve been coming to LBI for years, this is our first (but won't be the last) visit south of Beach Haven. 1 block from the beach (as in, cross the street in front, and then find the path to the beach), quiet nights, 1 mile from all the activity / food you might want, great room (we had a stove, fridge, microwave, plates, cups, utensils) - so we could have cooked in, or, used one of the grills and ate at a picnic table by the pool. Pool was warm and clean, workers are very nice. walking distance to breakfast in the morning and ice cream at night. Just a wonderful visit, great place to stay. Well worth the money spent.

Sea Spray has everything you need, clean and priced fairly. If you dont need the frills of large hotels this place is perfect. We loved our time there.

• Elizabeth (10/5): - This motel is fantastic! Clean pool, friendly staff and immaculate rooms. I remember this hotel when I was a kid back in the 80’s and it’s retained all of it’s charm and happy childhood memories. Great place to stay, incredible value for the money.
• SARA R (2/5): - I stayed here last week with two friends of mine. It was a perfectly average motel. The floors were covered in sand, but nothing crazy for the price. The next morning however, I woke up covered in bed bug bites. I have dealt with them before and am allergic, so I knew exactly what they were. I had rows of bites, typical of the bb pattern. You can see how badly they swelled in the photos below. When I told the man at the front desk, he was completely unsurprised, just told me he'd have his handyman check it out and added "sorry about that". Given that I'm allergic, I could not stay at the motel and risk bringing them home with me. The motel refused to refund me for the stay or offer any credit subsequently on the grounds that I agreed to their non-refundable terms and conditions. Please be advised that bed bugs are apparently included in their terms and conditions.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - We loved the proximity to the beach! It was literally an easy walk across the street. We brought our bikes and rode into town for dinner after a day at the beach. Beach Haven is nice because there's a bike path, shopping, a cool brewery and lots of restaurants to choose from! Very, very nice area. My only complaint is that the room was extremely small. The bathroom door swings in to a very small bathroom so it made it very difficult to get in and out of the bathroom. I've never seen this before. The mattress was very comfortable and new. We stayed in room 103.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - The room that I paid an unbelievable amount for was the size of a shoebox and had an unpleasant odor. The bed felt like I was sleeping on the Boxspring. I understand that it is the rental season and they are going to charge a premium but for that kind of money they should really consider making some improvements. Make the rooms more comfortable and appealing. Kinda depressing

The pool is an added bonus for a quick dip after a long day at the beach or to change it up. The beds were comfortable and they have updated the bedding and pillows. The office staff are pleasant and very helpful. Casey’s cleaning was great and I was impressed at how often I saw them wiping down high touch areas around the property throughout the day. The grills and picnic table are kept clean and offer a nice change from dining out. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with them again next summer.
