Guest Reviews
- Stephen (6/5): - Shops nearby
- G (10/5): - The place is easy to find and park. Reception were friendly and helpful. The room had been renovated. It had a comfy bed, good shower and decent amenities. There was a kitchenette too. The room was clean. It was on the first floor with views out onto the harbour. There are a number of eateries nearby covering any meals. The national park was a short stroll away.
- Jay (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Located by the shore and many dining options within easy walking distance
- Donna (8/5): - Room was updated but no bath tub. We were on the ground floor and heard noises from the guests above including toilet flushing and snoring.
Beds were comfortable and the water view was excellent.
- Kim (8/5): - Great location!
- Klara (10/5): - Nice place for such a small town.
- Sarah (8/5): - Alpine Motor Inn is on the ocean, tidy, and there are many dining options within a short walk. It is on the driving route and close to the national park, and the Hopewell Rocks.
- david (10/5): - Great location. Lots of restaurants close by.
- Susan (10/5): - it was a great stay. This town is very small, I believe I was told there are only eight places to eat near this hotel. We enjoyed our meal at the Muddy Rutter. Watching the tides was lots of fun.
- James K (10/5): - Perfect choice!!
- Neil And Monique (10/5): - On the water, in the village, walk to the wharf, restaurants, and the bakery!!
- Frances (10/5): Definitely book this place! - Located in a quiet little town AlmaNB, this place has water views and plenty of comfortable chairs to catch the view. When we arrived we asked if we could add another nights stay, and they made it happen and didnt charge us extra for the upgraded room. Reasonably priced. local restraurants in walking distance. 30 min ride to hopewell rocks.and bay of fundy.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Traveling enroute to Hopewell Rocks and this was perfect stopover! Lots of great little eating places to choose from or you can eat in as it has a mini kitchen and dining table. The place was well maintained, very clean and linens fresh. Would definitely recommend.
- Anysha (10/5): - Amazing view and super friendly staff. Bed was extremely comfortable along with the pillows! Super nice place to go and detach from the rest of the world. Would 100% return and recommend
- Rodney (6/5): - Property was lower end, but it was clean and quiet.
- Rodney (10/5): - Nice simple accommodations in a great location
- Mark E (6/5): - Adequate
- Stacey (10/5): - Cute and cozy
- John (8/5): - All good
- Deborah (8/5): - Everything great - just wished we knew we were on the 2nd floor up a very high very steep staircase. We don’t do SF tss as it’s B well. It was a real dealbreaker for us. Rooms great. Clean very picturesque. Just wish confirmation stated 2 nd floor rooms
- Jean-Henri (10/5): - We had the room closest to Fundy Bay and we couldn’t get over the view! Having our own little deck with chairs to enjoy the sunset and sunrise was amazing.
- Gisele (4/5): - I liked the property because it had a nice view. I didnt like that there was no tub and the shower was very small, could not wash without banging into the wall. The bathroom was very tiny. The sink was outside of the bathroom.
- John (8/5): - Great rooms
Great location
Comfy beds
Nice hot shower.....what else is there
- Alanna (10/5): - Perfect place to stay to explore Fundy Park during the day and walkable options for some great dinners.
- Janice (8/5): - The beds were comfortable and the little kitchenette is well equipped
- Denise (8/5): - Great property to watch the high and low tide and explore the ocean floor
- Brian (8/5): - Its a perfect spot to watch the tide and enjoy lobster. 3rd time staying here
Love it
- Ashley Anne (8/5): - Very well located, beautiful view out back. It’s a bit tired and dated, but it kind of adds to the charm. We would stay again!
- Stacey (8/5): - The room was clean, but on the smaller side for a double room. The beds were double sized, not queen beds, unfortunately. The kitchenette was small. No wash cloths or tea towels were provided. The beds were comfortable enough. The bed could have used double pillows, as most hotels provide. There was a bit of a gap in the door. The residents that were in the bottom corner of our unit were smoking cigarettes and pot and there was definitely an odour at times. The stairs to the upper floors are steep and the access porch to the upper units was narrow. I would recommend staying in a lower unit for ease of access. The location was great. The hotel was quiet. The view was lovely of the harbour and the placement of quite a few Adirondack chairs was appreciated. The bathroom was small and the water pressure was low and the bath fan was inefficient.
- Lela (10/5): - Spectacular stay! We loved everything about the inn and the area. Safe, quiet, cozy, updated. Beautiful views and an amazing area. Already thinking of our next stay!
- Jovanka (10/5): - We were here for 1 night and it was perfect. Close to Fundy National Park and beach area. Loved the chairs that look out at the water. We walked out at low tide which was fun. Room was small but clean.
- Leslie (10/5): - Excellent option. Having the small kitchen area was a plus. So close to the water. Very friendly staff.
- Theresa (10/5): - The Alpine Inn Was a very beautiful spot for our stay. Accessible for my elderly parents with parking close to the door of the room. Rooms are small and bathroom very small but very clean and quaint!! So not complaining at all but would be difficult for a larger person to fit in shower. Loved the view. It really was just perfect
- Monique (10/5): - Very nice, can't complain and nice view
- Daniel (10/5): - Right beside the bay.
Well cared for property.
Only criticism would be the weak wifi.
All in all great experience
- Ida (2/5): - Very dirty, very strong molly in bedroom
- Trish (8/5): - Quaint. Nicely kept outside. Small narrow shower in our room. No hairdryers. Great for a short stay!
- WenTing (8/5): - very friendly staff, love that they are pet friendly
- Eric (8/5): - For a motor inn at that location by the water and price, I’d come back. Alma and Fundy offer enough to do that I’d not be living in the room. However, a shower, some good sleep, and views to relax by the sea is all possible at the Alpine each night.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Location!
- Pranav (8/5): - Good option for short stay. Property is located in heart of shopping area. Many restaurants around and all basic facilities available.
- Tracy (10/5): - Quaint hotel very conveniently located.
- Lynn (10/5): Pituresque - Spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed. Great view.
- Rachel (10/5): - Staff was very helpful for all of our needs. Kitchenette stocked with what we needed for our trip. Beautiful property - loved sitting on the Muskoka chairs at night watching the stars. Close walk to everything in Alma! Would definitely stay here again.
- Helen (6/5): - Comfortable bed, quiet. Shower very cramped.
- Doug (8/5): - Great place to watch the Bay of Fundy tides from their property.
- Martine (10/5): - Beautiful view
- Vanessa (6/5): - This property is waterfront, which is nice-but the general public can access the chairs they have set up by the water. The motel is dated and the bathroom was tiny and very outdated. The door to the unit we stayed in was faulty and the maintenance person came over to show me the “trick” to locking it (while smoking his vape). As a woman travelling with two children, I did not feel safe at all. The location is the only redeeming quality for me.
- Wendy (10/5): - Was very clean,bed was comfy,has a kitchenette which is great,great location.,friendly, helpful staff. Waterfront property.
- Anthony (10/5): - A great place for my dog and I to stay!
- Annette (10/5): - Absolutely loved sitting in the chairs watching the tide come in. Even though the inn was completely full, we didn’t hear much noise from our neighbors or outside. Would definitely recommend.
- Donna (8/5): - Good locati
- Lorna (10/5): - Recommend this place to everyone! Owners were extremely kind and went above and beyond for our unique parking situation. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Close to everything in the lovely little town. If we are in the area again we will stay here.
- Pauline (8/5): - Beautiful view
- Roberta (8/5): - It was very clean and comfortable. Alma is a sweet little place.
- Jun (10/5): - Staying at Alpine Motor Inn was a truly peaceful and refreshing experience. The room faced the ocean, and waking up to the sound of waves and the gentle sea breeze was nothing short of magical. The view was absolutely stunning — just like a postcard. It felt like “facing the sea, with spring blossoms,” even in the heart of summer.
The room was clean and cozy, with all the basic amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect — close to local attractions but quiet enough for total relaxation.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Bay of Fundy.
- Sue (10/5): - Liked that there was a kitchenette.
Loved sitting by the water watching the boats.
As close as you can get to Fundy National Park.
- Sonya (6/5): - The people next door were very loud - there were cars in and out and loud banging sounds all hours of the evening and night.
- Tyler (10/5): - Was a great motel. Would stay here again if we come back.
- THERESA (10/5): - Near the whalf
- Tracey (10/5): - Loved that it was in the ocean. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious
- Suzanne (10/5): - We were excited to explore Fundy Bay and this was the place to stay! It is at the heart of everything since it is so close to the National Park and big attractions.
- Marilyn (8/5): - Stay was ok
- Jennifer (10/5): - A great, clean property on an absolutely magnificent property. Million dollar views from this motel.
- Nadia (10/5): - Love they your right in the town walking distance to everything and staff is friendly and rooms are clean
- William (10/5): - Always enjoy returning to Alma.
- William w (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Would be nice to have handrails up the two steps for older and handicapped people.
- Shannon (6/5): - Alpine Inn is a nicely situated motel right in the village of Alma walking distance to all restaurants, pubs and cafes. Really enjoyed the sitting areas on the shore at the edge of the property. I was however disappointed upon finding out there is no pool as this is blatantly indicated on Expedia as an option. The room itself was unremarkable comfortable bed yes but that was about the extent. Wi-Fi was lack luster, TV only a few channel options no music option and TV picture reception was static, also no clock radio provided however room did have a fridge. Shower was tiny with a shower spray head mounted and adjusted way too high with no adjusting option. I do realize it is a tourist area during high season, however $170 plus tax basically $200 is hard to justify for such a lack luster room with no pool option. Should not have paid much over $150 taxes in for such a basic queen bed room. However bed was comfortable and room was clean
- Terence (8/5): - Nice motel in a great area - very quaint town in a national park
- Ulrike (8/5): - We chose this property for its very convenient location , practically in walking distance to Bay of Fundy Narional Park. It’s very dog friendly as is the whole community of Alma. A number of restaurants allow dogs on the patio.
The rooms were clean, but a bit small.
As the hotel is quite close to a lobster facility, one can hear the motor of the cooling facility nonstop.
- bouchra (10/5): - The gentleman at reception is very kind and helpful, everything was perfect, the location is amazing with chairs provided to enjoy the tides you could see from outside your room, minutes walk from the scenic provincial park, clean rooms with all necessary amenities, parking is big and easy, restaurants all around to have amazing seafood or a burger, bakery serving amazing cinnamon rolls at the back of the hotel. It’s one of a very few places I totally enjoyed my stay
- Hijong (6/5): - The place was OK. Convenient location and cute town.
- Mathieu (10/5): - Great spot !!!!
- Greg (10/5): - Small room but excellent choice….
- Maureen (10/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, great view and easy walk around town.
- Amy (6/5): - Location was good and the view was lovely. For the price, it is probably okay. The rooms are very small and dated. Bathrooms/shower are tiny. Walking the steps to the second floor with suitcases as an older person was challenging.
- Debbie (10/5): - The property is right on the ocean and has Adirondack chairs set up in the back so that you can sit and look at the ocean. The rooms were well thought out amenity wise, The location was superb, within walking distance of everything. The Bay of Fundy National park was only a 2 minute drive away.
- cora (10/5): - This place was perfect. Great location, view of the water was amazing. Comfortable beds, rooms smelled fresh. Enjoyed my stay!
- Neil (8/5): - Nice stay in Alma. Recommended. Wifi could use an upgrade, even basic use was not possible.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great view - Family vacation through the bay of fundy. Cute little motel that has an excellent view in a cute little town. Sat outside in the muskoka chairs taking in the quiet and great view. Our room was on the bottom floor and unfortunately could hear the people above us moving around which kept us up. Also could hear their alarm go off in the morning. Coffee maker did not work in our room either. However only a few steps away was a nice bakery shop where we could grab a coffee and is known for their sticky buns.
- Geordan (10/5): - Room was very nice and clean ! Recommend !
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great place to stop when visiting the Bay of Fundy. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchenette had everything you needed including a fridge with small freezer to re-freeze a couple of ice packs. There is a choice of restaurants all within walking distance and you can see the tide comjng and going.
- mario (8/5): - Old building and nice and clean
- Kristi (8/5): - Shower and bathroom area was small.
Would be beneficial to have a hair dryer
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bedbugs! - Didn’t have my reservation, but did accommodate me. Bedbugs!
- Nancy (8/5): - .
- Megan (8/5): - A great location close both to Fundy National park and Hopewell Rocks. Great spot to watch the tides roll in and out. Kitchenette with dishes etc. but there are also several restaurants within walking distance.
- Carol (10/5): - Location great, but room was in needed to be updated, blanket had wholes, baseboard had mould that was painted over, smelt mouldy.
- Colleen (6/5): - Lovely owner/operators. The motel location is perfect with great chairs to arch the tide/boats/sunset.
The motel is cute from the outside. Just a bit outdated. Tiny, tiny shower/toilet area with sink in main room. Good enough for one night.
- Doreen (10/5): - Not at all fancy, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. As in the picture, they have chairs set out for viewing the incoming Bay of Fundy tide, which is sort of dramatic.
- Lisa (6/5): - Dated could use an upgrade.
- COURTNEY (10/5): - Very cute town! Nice place to stay with our pup for the night! We’d stay again!
- Tammy (10/5): - Great place
- Betsy (6/5): - Nice people but rooms are in desperate need of updating.
- mary t (8/5): - Location
- Sandra (10/5): - Great getaway ans nice quiet location.
- Dick (10/5): - Staff very helpful with info about places to eat and hikes to take. No Dislikes !!
- Connie (6/5): - All in all, a very charming place to stay, just the rooms are very small and the bathroom really tight. But the area is great, people friendly and it felt clean. Bed was not comfortable, unfortunately. Could use some upgrading.
- Fraser (8/5): - Everything was close by
- ROMEO (10/5): - Property is right in downtown Alma. It's close to restaurants and the place has spacious parking space. We felt safe in the area.
