- Ian (9/5): Beautiful, quirky, central home to base a visit to Victoria - Loved the communication, the setting, the central location, the unusual accommodation as a quirky memorable home for our visit to Victoria.
The marina was well managed, good food and bar outlets ,but everything went quiet for the night until the morning. We even saw an otter in the marina on the walk to the city one evening! Nothing
- Danielle (9/5): Fantastique! - Vraiment chouette, original et tranquille. Les équipements.
- Drucker (10/5): we had a blast - very cool spot! tight for 4 ppl. stellar for just a couple
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Shirley (8/5): This was a bucket list spot for me. Loved it. - The location was great. Carene was good host. Convenient to a lot of other amenities.
- Leffers (10/5): - Being right on fisherman's warf was a very unique experience, so worth the money. And close to everything in Victoria.
- Kenneth (7/5): -
- jack (10/5): We will go back - It was a floating home went like the one my wife used to own. It was nostalgic.
- Karolys (7/5): It's good to stay in one of Victoria's most iconic places. - The breakfast was in an exceptional place within walking distance. It's a floating house, which as an experience is interesting, thought regarding space its limited. The washroom is small. For a special night, a bathtub would have been nice.
- Darlene (10/5): Carene is an amazing host/owner … she gave us recommendations for restaurants and a tip about the water taxi going a - We loved the location and the many restaurants in walking distance from the house boat … loved taking the water taxi to China Town ! It was a memorable stay ! Not a thing ! It was an amazing adventure to add to our holiday on the island !
- livingstone (9/5): - Carene was very friendly. It was a great location. Everything was very comfortable.
- Erika (7/5): -
- Robert (8/5): - Location
- Megan (10/5): So fun to stay on the water, great room - Loved the location, the novelty of staying on the water, beautiful views off the deck of the city lights reflected in the bay. Great food nearby, easy to drive or walk. Highly recommend.

- CRH (9/5): Nice change from traditional hotel stay - Location was close to the harbor and town. Just a few blocks in a quieter area of town. Breakfast cafe was charming and food was delicious. Not a big deal but if wanting to watch movies or news, download the apps and bring headphones. Wifi was great.
- Raquel (10/5): Christmas was more than I can expected.express to you how special it was. - First of all, I loved my room Ivy. I’ve never slept anywhere in my life. That was more comfortable. Hospitality was over-the-top. Everything was well explained about the room the location.
Everything you would need was walking distance. It was so peaceful. All you could hear was the smooth running sounds of water.
Slept like a baby.
In the past, I’ve always brought an extra blanket and a pillow. It means a lot to have a good night sleep. Sometimes those two things makes a difference. I left them in my car that bedding from the pillows to the mattress to the blankets with perfection.
Thank you again for making my trip so special. What a wonderful Christmas present to myself I’ll be back. I can’t say one thing bad about that property. It was perfection.
- J. David (8/5): I'll be back! - Fabulous breakfast. Exceptional location.

- Annie France (9/5): I have love my experience, Carene is super well organized to facilitate the arrival of the customers -
- Kayla (10/5): This is a unique opportunity to stay in a floating b n b in a working fisherman’s wharf! - Unique accommodation right in fisherman’s wharf in Victoria. Had everything you needed for your stay. Very comfortable and cozy, you feel like you’re in someone’s home not a cold hotel. Had everything you needed. Things in Victoria open and close at varied times throughout the year so check before venturing out to get food or coffee etc.
- Julie (10/5): - Easy to find, got in without any iccup, the instructions were clear.
Room was clean, with good equipment and extra blanket.
Location was amazing ! Beautiful scenery. It was great !
- GUY (7/5): I was very good. The harbour is very cool. - The float house idea was interesting. The room was very comfortable. The wharf was a great marine experience. The area was very nice. The local coffee shops were great. The room was not cleaned when we arrived. The landlady was difficult to reach. The breakfast vouchers were not available till the next day.

- Julia (8/5): Overall a good stay! - Very clean, friendly host, and an awesome location that's close to downtown Victoria and bike trails. Staying on the water and getting a view of the harbor and shops made our experience a lot more fascinating! We tried to cancel or reschedule due to inclement weather (which fortunately turned around last minute) and because one of our guests got sick and couldn't make it. I understand not being able to cancel or even partially refund a reservation on short notice, but there was no cancellation rescheduling policy posted online, which made things confusing.
One upside of this place is that they offer complimentary breakfast at a place down the street, which is one reason why we chose it. But breakfast started late in the day (10 am), and so we weren't able to make it. I would have appreciated knowing that ahead of time.
- Karen N (9/5): A gorgeous place to stay - We saw the float homes when we visited Victoria's fisherman's wharf last year. When looking for a hotel to stay in Victoria this year, this gorgeous B&B float home came up and was available. We snapped at the chance to stay here and it didn't disappoint. A great spot and a beautiful home. Working out how to make the coffee :-)
- Ann (10/5): - Our owner provided perfect details! Super cute!!
Thank you

- Jo (8/5): Clean, great location. - We had to go to a local cafe for the included breakfast, it was very nice. The location was great, right in the wharf. Parking close by. Room was a bit dated. There were a few instructions we had to follow but we appreciated that we were staying in a quite unique place.
- Jenn (10/5): -
- Monika (8/5): Bucket list stay in a float home ❤️ - Obviously the location was amazing with a great little balcony. The room was a bit tight for us , I’m a larger woman
- Wim (7/5): Good stay, high price - Special Very crowdy and touristic
- Cote (10/5): - Great place! Fun and lively but quiet and peaceful at night
- Stéphane (8/5): -
- Angel (8/5): Very good -
- Lozza (9/5): Best location in Victoria! -
- Katja (10/5): Fantastic - The location was amazing, socolorful and original.
We also liked that it was very lively during the day , but completely quiet after 10 pm.
There was complete silence during all night.👍 We liked very much the Cafe where we had breakfast, the only issue was that there were only some important things missing:
- there was no option of whole grain or multigrain or gluten free bread (just white bread)
- there were no fruit juices (just fizzy drinks)
- there was no brown sugar or agave syrup (just white sugar).
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The location and accommodations were amazing! The host was so helpful and really exceeded expectations by allowing us to store luggage and even checkin early. Would recommend this lodging to everyone. Truly felt so special! Such a beautiful, relaxing setting. We can't wait to revisit!!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and lot’s of fun! The house was very clean and everything was easily accessible. There were even glasses in the fridge which was great. Every little detail was thought out.
- Laurie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (8/5): We had a great stay. - Breakfast was great. Location was good.
- Kim (10/5): It was great! - The location was excellent
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - Great location. Very comfortable beds Could have used two bedside reading lamps
- Reimer (8/5): Very good - The location was unique and close to downtown. We could walk to most everything. We didn't realize the owner lived upstairs and that we were renting just a room. The space was nice, but we could hear our neighbors and the owner upstairs. Other than that, it was a very nice stay.
- Wanpen (8/5): Good for location, need to improve breakfast time. - Close to everything, convenient, Clean, a lot towels. Breakfast served too late at 10 a.m. and not tasty.
Bed is comfortable but sheets and pillows not.
- Shahrzad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Absolutely excellent stay and I can't wait to stay again some day!! - Fabulous location! Loved sitting outside on little patio.
- Tina (10/5): My sister and I loved the floating BB. Everything was looked after perfectly. -
- Brian (10/5): Excellent! - It was a wonderful stay. I loved that we were introduced to a new place to stay in area and the cafe across the street was amazing ! Will go back to both soon!
- Cameron (8/5): Very good -
- Carmen (10/5): Cozy on the water - We stayed for a long weekend. It was great to be right on the wharf! The food around us was great! Room was clean and easy to access. There was breakfast included at a local cafe which was scrumptious.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This was a cozy, comfortable space for our family trip. Easy to walk to downtown Victoria and a variety of eating options at the wharf. Unique experience to spend time on a houseboat.
- April (6/5): Nice location - The location is wonderful and interesting however the furniture and home need updating to justify the cost. Plug in bathtub leaks and too much owner junk in the closet. The owner was rude in her explanation so maybe its time to shut it down and retire.
- Fenella (4/5): Unique being in water, but it's tight & no TV. and everything else around you closes at 7Pm - She was unprofessional! left some laundry inside the laundry machine & dryer, then made us take it out so we can use it.
The breakfast at Imagine was a good experience chef was great!
- Brian (10/5): Best time ever - Staying at the wharf was so much fun, the BnB was fantastic, comfortable and clean Everything was excellent
- Tim (7/5): Perhaps would be a better visit during the spring or summer - Interesting and quaint location. The bed was just average, also unfortunately there was a main water break, not the fault of the owner!
- Jennifer (10/5): Wonderful experience in a floating B&B - The location is perfect as it is close to downtown but also in a chilled out location at Fisherman’s Wharf. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby cafe and it was exceptional. The suite was very cosy and had everything we needed including tea and coffee, chilled wine glasses and robes. Everything was great.
- Andrea (10/5): A bucket list positive experience - This was a bucket list experience for me and it was so worth it! Carene was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious! Very enjoyable and a great experience. Thanks Carene! Nothing to say negative about this property! 👍👍👏
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay in victoria
Saw sea otters playing outside the front door
Really good friendly host .
Breakfasts cooked in a pizza oven (at cafe 2 mins walk through a park)
- Keith (9/5): Unique and fun stay for one night in Victoria. - Very cute, clean and in a nice location Was all good. Good instructions and easy to find. Great reception and all around good experience.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The uniqueness. Peaceful and well decorated. Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Great location was just really fun and unique. Breakfast included was amazing. All good
- Paul (10/5): Quiet Houseboat Bed and Brekkie - Communication from the host was outstanding. The room was clean and cozy. No tv in the room, but we really didn’t care. It was a surprise for my family and they loved it. Perfect if you want a quiet affordable getaway. Walking distance to inner harbor. Breakfast was included and provided by a family owned cafe called Imagine. Your choice of fruit and yogurt or a breakfast sandwich on banock bread… it was called Imagine Cafe and they make an awesome wood fired pizza.
- Mikaila (9/5): Superb -
- Jan (9/5): Love the experience to stay in this adorable floating home! - We really like the idea of a floating home. Surrounded by the beautiful water and colourful homes added a great deal to our stay. The float home is well set up and the beds were decently comfortable. We really enjoyed this place! It’s just so adorably picturesque! Some people might find the walls quite thin as they cannot be heavy on a floating home. This does make for a bit of noise when people walk upstairs. We didn’t find it too noisy except early in the morning when we were trying to sleep in.
- Cassidi (10/5): Wonderful stay and will be back if I’m in the area again! - Lovely location and everything you needed in the room! A little nosier than a standard hotel but it’s something to expect!.
- Yun-uei (10/5): Exceptional - The room is clean, and the host is friendly. The location is great, and the experience is very unique. And why is the bed so comfy!!
- Perri (10/5): My favorite place to stay and I have stayed at many, many Victoria venues. - It's fun and different. Great view. Often have seals playing. Breakfast is great! Shower in smaller room is very difficult for larger people. Shower door very small.
- Kumar (9/5): Very conveniently located close to downtown (walkable) and very clean, cozy and safe! - The location was excellent and the host Carene was very sweet and even gave us early check in and late check out! Gave us lot of tips for places and events to check out in the area. We also had some otter and seal sightings. No complaints!
- Belle (6/5): - We stayed for two nights in this quiet, small community. The breakfast provided by Imagine was excellent. However, it would be more convenient if each room had its own kettle and hair dryer, so we wouldn’t have to return them to the outside area after every use, but we appreciate the effort and hope our feedback can help improve the experience for future guests.
- Kathryn (7/5): This was an ok place, but overpriced for its size and location. - Charming, water taxi was fun, walking distance from downtown activities.,quiet at night. Very small , the wharf was nearly empty this time of year. Not many choices for food nearby.
- Leroux (9/5): Superb - it’s was perfect, nothing to say more !
- Deb (9/5): Location, Location! Fun experience. - Carene is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The float home was a fun experience and glad to have checked it off the bucket list. The orca visit to the bay was an added excitement to our stay! Loved dining at the Fish Store, and catching the Eagle Wing Whale watching tour was easy! Loved it. OH! and the included breakfast nearby was also delicious!
- Lisa (5/5): Fun location but not your typical B&B - The room we stayed in was very comfortable and had sufficient space for 2 people. Not large like a suite but typical for a room at a B&B. It was in a touristy area but the people didn't seem to get in the way. The access to parking was easy and the breakfast restaurant we were sent to was very good. This was not what I would call and B&B. It was more like renting a room in house. We didn't feel we had access to anywhere but our room (which did include the bathroom). Each morning we had to leave to get our own breakfast (coupon provided to cover the cost). For the amount of money we spent for going off season, it wasn't worth it. I could have gotten a nicer place with many more amenities for the amount we paid.
- Mary (6/5): Listing not accurate - . The listing says king beds. There is one queen bed and one double Murphy bed. I also did not like being told we could check out at noon when we did not ask for that and then at 11:10 opening our room door and telling us we had to leave now because it was promised to next guest at noon. I don't understand that at all.
- Allison (9/5): Superb - The fact that the b&b is a floating property! Very unique venue. Great experience.
- Barb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (7/5): Quirky and something a bit different - We wanted to go whale watching and the boat was literally right there .
Also breakfast was included and 20% off the whale watching .
- Mark (8/5): Eccentric and fun place. -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and fun experience
- Julie (9/5): Very comfortable and unique - Perfect
- Becky (9/5): Magical. - What a wonderful stay on your float house. This was a highlight of our trip. Loved our stay in the Poppy Room. Love loved our location on Fisherman’s. Wharf. Loved Victoria. Perfect!!
- R (10/5): - Great location! Very unique accommodation. Enjoyed sitting on our private deck just above the water.
The bed was very comfortable.
- Debra (9/5): We loved our stay and would come again! - Loved watching all the action at the wharf! Fun place. No tv
- Julia (9/5): A fun experience in a fantastic location - The location was amazing Nothing really, the furniture was a little bit dated but nothing to put you off
- Susan (10/5): What a great find! Wish we had more time there. Carene is a great host. - Great location No issues at all!
- Denise (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend staying here. - We loved everything about this float a home. The hostess was so nice and was very quick to answer questions. She stays on the top floor but you seldom hear her. The room we had was beautiful (The poppy room), clean, nicely decorated with a huge bathroom. We also had a small balcony that we used often. It was so relaxing sitting out there.
The home is located at fishermens wharf so during the day it is busy and you can hear noise, but it didn't bother us. At 9pm the wharf closes so it is very quiet. I thought the hostess would be cooking breakfast for us but she sent us to this absolutely wonderful restaurant (which was included in the stay) named the Imagine Studio Cafe and we had this
wonderful breakfast. We talked about this breakfast the remainder of our trip. I would highly recommend staying here. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much!! Absolutely nothing
- Sabbas (5/5): Passable -
