- Guest (9/5): Nice clean hotel with a good staff which met our expectations and travel requirements, good value. - A standard hotel room facing the main street, but it was quiet. Dinner was good, full Scottish breakfast was delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly, and parking was available in the rear. There is a sports bar on the ground floor, but there was no noise audible in our room one floor up. The location for us was good as we wanted a hotel south of Glasgow enroute to London. It is minutes from a Tesco Superstore. The hotel was good value for room and meals.

- Charlotte (10/5): Brilliant Hotel - Had a lovely one night stay as a family of 4 at The Commercial Hotel. The room was lovely and very clean with comfy beds and a bath and shower. We also had our evening meal in the hotels restaurant which was also which was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Siamo quindi rimasti senza cena e, incredibilmente, l’abbiamo dovuta pagare comunque. Per questo disagio, il personale non si è dimostrato minimamente dispiaciuto e non ci ha offerto alcuna soluzione: ci hanno solo consigliato di provare a richiedere un rimborso a Booking.com. In realtà, per il servizio ricevuto avremmo dovuto spendere circa 45 sterline in meno (15 sterline a testa previste per la cena). Siamo dovuti andare a cena in un altro locale, pagando di tasca nostra. Anche la colazione è stata deludente: nelle indicazioni dell’hotel su Booking.com era scritto che c’erano opzioni di colazione continentale dalle 6 alle 10, ma ci è stato comunicato che il pub apre solo alle 10, quindi non è stato possibile anticiparla. Questo ha causato notevoli disagi, e abbiamo finito di fare colazione solo alle 11. Se avessimo avuto orari stretti, non avremmo nemmeno potuto fare colazione nell’hotel.
- Eric (7/5): Nier kamer 8 nemen. - Parkeergelegenheid achter het hotel. Er worden pubquizjes en bingo georganiseerd. Eten was goed. Als je halfpension boekt, krijg je voor het diner £30 pp aftrek. Drank was prijzig. Personeel was heel vriendelijk. De stad zelf heeft wat historie en vlakbij zit een grote mall. En in de straat zit een grote Lidl als je wat lekkers wilt. Neem NIET kamer 8: herrie van de feestjes is enorm storend. Wij hadden pech met een feestje tot 00.00u. En als je op zaterdagochtend wilt uitslapen.....om 7.45u loopt de drumband door de hoofdstraat! De vloer van de kamer loopt enorm af (de hele straat trouwens) en dan ook nog schuin dak. Dus pas op! Eenpersoonsbedden kunnen niet tegen elkaar aan.

Purtroppo le camere sono proprio sopra al pub e si sente musica ad alto volume e schiamazzi fino a mezzanotte e oltre. La colazione è buona ma viene servita dalle 10, non prima, che è un orario assurdo se si viaggia sia per turismo che per lavoro. - ian (9/5): - Het vriendelijk personeel, het dagelijks onderhoud van de kamers en het feit dat je ontbijt a la carte bereid wordt. Omdat het een pub/hotel is kan je pas om 10 uur ontbijten waardoor wij 2 dagen geen ontbijt hebben kunnen nemen omdat we al op daguitstap waren. Jammer voor hen ook dat Wishaw wat aan het doodbloeden is.

Su Booking non c'è menzione di questo dato ed avendo pagato la colazione in anticipo o aspetti o perdi i soldi. Prima delle 10.38 non c'è stato verso di fare colazione visto che c'è solo la colazione cucinata inglese. Per entrare in hotel dalla reception bisogna uscire per strada, molto scomodo con le valigie. Entrata in hotel con chiave. Quando abbiamo fatto presente il disagio sia per il freddo che per lo sporco cii hanno preso in giro due volte: la prima dicendoci che il termosifone si sarebbe acceso riscaldando la camera, cosa non vera e seconda presa in giro che ci avrebbero scritto per risarcirci del costo della colazione, anche questa non vera.

- Schmids (3/5): - Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Leider war unser Aufenthalt durch erhebliche Lärmbelästigung beeinträchtigt. Direkt unter dem Zimmer das wir gebucht hatten befindet sich ein Pub, dessen Musik bis spät in die Nacht deutlich zu hören war. Der Boden ist sehr hellhörig, und der Bass war teilweise so intensiv, dass sogar der Schrank im Zimmer vibrierte. Zusätzlich befindet sich unmittelbar neben den Hotelzimmern ein Discoraum, aus dem ebenfalls laute Musik drang. Dies führte dazu, dass an erholsamen Schlaf kaum zu denken war. Erschwerend kam für uns hinzu, dass das Frühstück erst ab 10 Uhr angeboten wurde. Für Gäste mit früheren Terminen – etwa in Glasgow oder Edinburgh – ist das leider sehr unpraktisch und schränkt die Tagesplanung erheblich ein.

- Gradišar Boštjan (8/5): - Velikost sobe, lokacija. Zajtrk se streže od 10.00 dalje, kar smo doživeli prvič na potovanjih, vodstvo se ni odzvalo našo prošnjo po zajtrku vsaj ob 8.00,. Imeli smo dve nočitvi, za en zajtrk so nam pripravili sendvič, za naskednji dan ni nihče vedel nič, na odgovor vodstva čakamo, želimo tudi denar za plačane zajtrke nazaj, a zaenkrat ni odziva, skratka neprofesionalno.

Ok for a one night stay Next to a nightclub which opened until 3am, we were only told once we had checked in. No mention of this on Booking.com which we thought was ridiculous. We had a family & a twin room (room number 9 & 10), the staff advised number 9 is the loudest to the music, me and my partner offered to take this room as we travelled with my older parents. This was the family room which was right next to the fire exit of the nightclub, feeling like we were in the nightclub until 3am. It’s a good job we didn’t have any children in the family room as they would have not slept. When we checked out, we mentioned the nightclub to the staff and they told us it’s only on once a month (which was the night we stayed) however after reading all reviews, this is a issue all year round not once a year.

- Michael (7/5): Hotel für die Durchreise - Zentrale Lage und Parkplatz direkt am Hotel Durch die Bar unter den Zimmern war es sehr laut. Die Fugen in der Duschkabine waren stark mit Schimmel befallen. Die Luft im Doppelzimmer war sehr stickig.

It’s over a bar on a loud street. Got to the room and it was clean, but as a solo female traveler I did not feel comfortable. So I left. Nothing in particular happened but you get what you pay for.

- Jane (10/5): Perfect spot for an overnight in Wishaw. - My second stay. A warm welcome, a very comfy, clean, well equipped room at really good value. All public areas well kept and fresh smelling. A convenient car park. 10 out of 10 from start to finish. Not a thing. All good.

- Heather (9/5): Handy as a stopover - A very comfortable and clean room right in town with car parking provided which was handy. Easy access to shops nearby. Lovely to see the original stonework of the building on one of the walls. Staff were lovely. Room was very hot but that was due to the recent heat wave so was understandable. Having the window open made it noisy with people drinking outside.
- Marina (4/5): Won't book again - Cozy bar and restaurant. On Saturday night loud music from the bar until 1 am. No AC, but because of the heat needed to sleep with open windows but the street is busy so a lot of noise during the night, even with earplugs. Breakfast is not served until 10 am
- Sue (10/5): Brilliant! - The room was exceptionally spacious, clean, and bright. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great selection to choose from. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay - from arrival to departure. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others.

- Petra (7/5): - Locatie was goed, winkels en restaurants op loopafstand. Gezellige pub onder het hotel. Kamers zijn lekker groot. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt is pas om 10.00 uur, wat wij te laat vonden omdat we nog een heel eind moesten rijden en hebben dat dan ook niet gehad.
