• Erika (10/5): - We had an excellent stay. The accommodations were roomy, clean, and quite comfortable. Mary was lovely to deal with. It was close to everything including a gym, but you need a car to comfortably get around. We would definitely stay here again!

Tucked away in South Hill, this charming, family-run hotel offers a quiet retreat just minutes from many of the island’s best beaches, dining spots, and local attractions. The suites are spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay—beach towels, a fully functional kitchen, and a balcony with views stretching across the Caribbean Sea to Saint Martin. The saltwater pool is a bonus for a nice dip and the gardens around the property add to the relaxed island vibe. Parking is private and easy, and the area is peaceful—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. What truly sets Royal Palms apart is the hospitality. Mary and her team go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. She accommodated our early check-in and was incredibly helpful when our travel plans changed unexpectedly, welcoming us back with just a quick call. For travelers who appreciate comfort, convenience, and genuine care without the resort price tag, Royal Palms is an excellent choice.
• carol (10/5): Really nice accommodations! - Very impressed with Mary. Responded to all our needs in the timely manner. Away from the beach; however, pool and tropical environment, lovely. Rooms large. Not a resort, which is why we enjoyed it!
• David (10/5): Very comfortable on Anguilla - Mary is an amazing hostess. The rooms are spacious, very clean and fully equipped kitchen. You could probably get away with using taxis from this location but I would not recommend it. Renting a car is your best bet from this location. There is plenty of parking. We did not use the pool as we were visiting all the beaches and restaurants Anguilla has to offer. Whenever we visit Anguilla we will be staying here. We were lucky to get the top floor and a great view. You really cannot ask for anything better for the price. Mary, thank you so much for having us!!! NOTE: There is no elevator.
• Jordin (10/5): - The Royal Palms was perfect. We stayed for 8 nights and had zero complaints. The apt was incredibly spacious, with a balcony where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast every morning. The bedrooms were huge, clean, and had plenty of storage for our clothes. The kitchen was fully functional—although we are out most dinners. They provided both beach towels and bathroom towels. Mary was always in communication if we needed anything and extremely responsive. All in all a perfect stay! We will definitely be back.
• Basil (6/5): - Not sure how this place has such a high rating. The owners are friendly but it is in the middle of nowhere. The only thing next to it is a dilapidated building in a field with a loud dog behind a fence. Each room is like an apartment with a kitchen and a bedroom, but then there are also a few mystery locked doors you cannot open. When we arrived no one was around. We had to call the owners and they said we can just go to our room. However they never told us our room number to begin with. The hair dryer had a burning smell when using it because no one has ever cleaned out the lint. The wifi is extremely weak, to the point that when you’re in the bedroom you get no signal because the router is in the kitchen. Overall I recommend you pay a bit extra and stay somewhere closer to the beach.

• Rowyn (8/5): - It might look like off the beaten path (which is par for the course for Anguilla, for those who have been around), but it is quite a gem. It was an unexpected pleasure to be in a simple, serene and quiet place (in fairness, it was after the carnival season), and we enjoyed our morning coffees in this state. The place was spacious and clean and turndown services and other additional asks can be requested. The location is near the center of the island which made it a convenient base for us to reach the beaches, dining options, supermarkets and what have you. As a bonus, property manager Mary is one of the most helpful people in the service industry as we have met, and she made our stay much exceptional than we could have expected. Royal Palms is recommended for travelers who may be working on a limited budget yet would rather prefer the peace and quiet of what an island gives without sacrificing modern amenities.

• REBECCA (10/5): - Wonderful stay at Royal Palms Hotel in Anguilla (June 2024) I recently returned from a wonderful 9-night stay at Royal Palms in Anguilla. It was my first time visiting Anguilla in 10 years and it is just as gorgeous as ever with stunning beaches, excellent cuisine and nightlife, local events and a welcoming community. Royal Palms is peaceful and beautiful with a lovely pool and garden. The two- bedroom, two bath accommodation was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed views from the balcony over the sea toward Saint Martin. The room was always clean and fresh and the kitchen was well-appointed. All we had to do was relax and enjoy our stay. Thank you to our excellent hosts, Tracy and Mary Busby, and their attentive staff. We could not have asked for more.

• Deborah (10/5): Home away from home - Mary, Tracy and Dora were the best. They made us feel at home. Any questions or requests were quickly answered and we got good suggestions for restaurants and activities. Rendezvous Bay Beach was the closest and also our favorite. Kitchen had everything we needed and having laundry available was a huge plus. Very quiet neighborhood and only 6 units in the building. If we ever return to Anguilla we would definitely stay here again.

• Elizabeth (8/5): - The property is very clean and peaceful, I slept so well! Good mattress! Comfortable furniture and a wonderful deck with gorgeous view! Mary was very responsive, anything I requested we taken care of instantly. The pool is beautiful and meticulously maintained. There is a washer and dryer to use downstairs and I was supplied with Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Two minutes down the road to Rendezvous Bay Beach and the central location is perfect for going east or west in the evening for lots of dining options. The property is a bit older so the wear and tear that goes along is inevitable, and I would love some newer non stick pans. A strainer, a colander, some Tupperware. They are minor omissions, I will absolutely book again. I told a lot of people about this under the radar property, it is a great option for a 2 week stay or long term.

• Janice (10/5): - My friend and I stayed at this location from 11-15 Dec of 2021 during our visit to Anguilla. The owner and staff were very accommodating, polite, respectful and courteous. We had absolutely no issues with check in or checkout. The owner was even there to meet us during both phases. Btw, her name is Mary and she’s simply amazing! One of the best owners you’ll ever meet. The location was perfect as it provided a breath taking view of the ocean and the St. Martin coastline (from the 3rd floors). The rooms were squeaky clean, incredible spacious and allowed for a tranquillizing environment that we both enjoyed. The kitchen was equipped with more than we needed. There were coffee makers, cookware and utensils, dishes of all sorts to wine glasses. It definitely gave us that homey feel. The free washing machines were a thing of beauty. It allowed us to travel back with as little dirty clothes as possible. The free parking on site allowed for easy access to our vehicles from the villa. There were also a great deal of supermarkets and fantastic restaurants within a few Km of the villa as well. We’ll be back to Anguilla in the summer of 2022 and we’ll be booking with Mary and her staff again. If you’re ever planning on visiting Anguilla and need a place to stay that is clean, spacious, affordable and filled with care, this is definitely your spot. Can’t wait to be back and enjoy more of it next time.

The kitchen was very well equipped. The bedrooms large and comfortable. The bathrooms very clean with hair dryers. There is a washer and dryer on the ground floor for guests if required. The suite is a very quiet and comfortable space. From the 2nd floor we had great views of Rendezvous Bay and the yachts. The hotel is within 5 minutes of a dozen excellent restaurants and beaches. Mary was very accommodating.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - Having not seen many reviews about Royal Palms we were unsure of our decision to stay here. However, we were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived. There were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a lounge area and a balcony with a sun lounger and table outside to dine in. All topped off with a beautiful view of St Martin. The apartment was truly fantastic and there was daily linen service and cleaning. There is AC in both bedrooms and the kitchen/ lounge area. The balcony in the apartment had a sufficient breeze which kept the mosquitos away. There is also a pool in the front of the apartments and a small carpark in the back. Also, we found the location to be perfect as well. We found it was located centrally to the island. A Best Buy is 10 mins down the road in the direction of Meads Bay, along with the other fancy villas. And Blowing Point/ The Valley is 15 mins drive in the other direction. Most importantly, it was less than a 5 min drive to Rendezvous Bay which was our favourite beach. Overall, Royal Palms is a beautiful property and it catered to our needs to perfection. We could not have asked for more, and it was more than we were expecting. If we ever return to the island we will make no hesitation to stay here again. Simply perfect and budget friendly.
