The breakfast service was indeed very nice and appetising. The location was convenient: so close to a train station.

• evelynong76 (6/5): Very basic - There is a front desk 24 hours, so no worry about late arrival. 3 rooms, 2 nights, 6 pax, budgeted nights. It is basic room that you need for a night. A double bed, fit in 2 ladies but maybe can only fit 1 man. A 3feet x 2feet like mini bathroom with hot water. A writing table, a kettle with 2 mug, and a heater in the room. Hair dryer available by request from front desk. Don't ask for more. No mineral water available in the room, no towel, no shower gel. You can get from front desk the shower pack include a towel, shampoo and shower mini pack costing you JPY500. 7-11 convenient store right besides the JR station, about 150 meter away walking distance from hotel. Hotel staff is friendly, bicycles available from hotel. Not recommended for long stay, 2 nights are the most I can accept. By the way, in case you send email to this hotel, it's best you call in directly. I sent two weeks ago but no reply at all.
• AKIHITO (6/5): 個室でぐっすりを格安で - 仕事を兼ねての滞在のため、格安な料金に引かれて滞在。車でのアクセスは、駐車場が無い事と一方通行のため回ってこなくてはいけない事でちょっと不便です。 部屋は、喫煙にも関わらず（たばこは吸わないが）ヤニ臭さはありませんでした。 ユニットバスルームは一般的なレベルでしたが、出湯が遅いので寒い季節は気をつけてください。アメニティーはほぼ何も無いので注意が必要です。 「個室でぐっすり」は飲酒の御陰で達成できましたがベッドマットレスのコイルが背中に当たり不快でした。（ベッドパッド持参が望ましい） 玄関はドアもキーもチープなので貴重品は注意してください。また、廊下での会話は筒抜けです。フロントの対応は親切で一般レベルでした。

• HYEMIN (8/5): 전박적으로 만족한 호텔 ! - 처음에 저렴한 가격에 해당 호텔에 예약을 했는데 오사카 난바 도톤보리를 기준으로 중심가에서는 지하철로 5정거장? 정도 가야하는 위치에 있어서 왔다갔다 하는데 조금 불편하긴했지만 전박적으로 만족스러운 호텔이였습니다. 지하철 역도 근처에 있어서 이동하기는 편했고 편의점 다수, 드럭스토어, 마트 등 편의시설이 근방에 위치해 있어서 좋았습니다. 또한 베이커리를 포함하여 다수의 식당도 많아서 이용하실 분들은 좋을듯 싶습니다. 그리고 난바 같은 중심가처럼 시끄럽지도 않고 조용해서 위치는 매우 만족스럽습니다. 대신에 근처 JR역이 있기때문인지 기차 소음? 같은데 들려서 잠귀 민감하신 분들은 생각해 봐야할듯 싶습니다. 싱글룸은 여태 묵었던과 비교해서, 일본 호텔치고는 넓다는 느낌을 받았습니다. 대신에 화장실 공간을 최소화 시킨건지 욕조는 여자1명이 서있어도 좁다는 느낌을 받았습니다. 침대도 싱글 침대치고는 넓직한 편이였고, 추울경우 히터를 조절해서 자기가 원하는 온도를 맞출수 있어서 좋았습니다. 하지만 빛이 잘 통하지 않아서 객실이 전체적으로 어두운 느낌은 있고 신식 건물이 아니기때문에, 기물들이 새거이기 원하시는 분들은 추천해드리고 싶지 않다고 생각합니다. 드라이기는 객실마다 놓여있는게 아니라, 수량이 정해져있어서 따로 요청을 해야하는데 따로 불편함은 없었습니다. 매일 침구류도 청소해주셔서 좋았습니다 수건 등 세면도구 비용을 지불하고 구입 해야하기때문에 세면도구 등은 챙겨오셔야 합니다. 직원분들은 다들 친절하셔서 좋았습니다 전박적으로 만족한 호텔입니다 ! 다음에 오사카에 또 간다면, 다시 묵고 싶네요 ^^
• paul (8/5): 位置近jr 火车站约3分钟脚程，酒店干净整洁，房间以价格来说大的 - 位置近jr 火车站约3分钟脚程，酒店干净整洁，房间以价格来说大的，酒店附近走3分钟有7-11，7分钟有个叫life的大型supermarket, 附近吃的多是居酒屋、燒肉店，合不合适自己见人见智。我用iphone7 plus，所以发现了有一个缺点就是出现充电问题，未符合现代要求，有些插座並未能充到电，可能是电压不足的关系。结果我唯有用暖气机的插座才能成功充电。

Near there, there are many convenience stores, nice ramen restaurants and supermarket. Hotel staff are very friendly and service mind. They can speak few english. The room is old, small but very very clean.
• AirNKK (6/5): For Budget Travelers Inn Nagai - I went to Osaka with some friends and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room is ok, not too small, but with the smell of cigarettes. The air-con is very loud and the bathroom is very small. On our last morning there, the fire alarm went off falsely for almost half an hour before they finally switched it off. Do not stay in the corner room, right hand, near the elevator on the fifth floor, no WiFi signal at all. Anyways, it's a good hotel for budget travelers. Not too far from the subway.

Close to another non-JR station which trains were a bit more direct to places. Quiet area. Good place if you are on a budget but maybe pay a but more and stay closer to city if you are on a short time stay. Not super clean but manageable.

• 591gracyd (10/5): Holiday in Japan! - Stayed here for 7 days, very nice and neat hotel. Room with A/c and attached bath, free WiFi, very near JR Tsurugaoka station. Lots if eating places and a Life supermarket nearby. We had a great stay here!
• Verified traveler (8/5): It's fine for low budget - It's good for low budget, near good tourist attractions, e.g. Kiyomizu temple, Gion, Yasaka shrine. But I thing it should have more bathroom.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap but far from the city - very cheap but comes with it's price: far from city center and from most of the attractions around. Very close to the necessary services (laundry, band etc. ) and restaurants (great sushi nearby)
• Tama (8/5): Good Hotel with Accessibility on the Cheap - Got myself and my family two economy rooms for 2 nights at Osaka. It have a relatively good-sized room, an adequately-sized TV and also a kitchen sink with electric water heater jug to help you make some hot water for drinking. The private bathroom is quite small, but it's enough for your needs (a flush toilet, wash basin, bath tub, and shower) although you need to pay for the basic amenities (towel, soap, etc). It covers all of your basic stuff pretty nicely, and the hotel is also located very close to a JR station (Tsurugaoka), and also a subway station (Nishitanabe) that is located a bit further away. The hotel staff, although have quite limited English, is also very helpful. All in all, a nice hotel with the very cheap price that it offered, especially on the time frame that we're staying (Golden Week), and with a very good access if you want to wander around the city of Osaka.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Spacious and well-equipped room for a budget stay - We had a very pleasant stay at For Leaves Inn. Although it is a bit far away from the city center and tourist attractions, it is surprising what you can get with such a low price and it's just a 5-10mins walk to the Nishitanabe subway station which connects to Namba and Shinsaibashi. The hotel was not difficult to find. We booked a room with a bunk bed and the room has a private bathroom and toilet. It even has a torso-sized mirror, a small TV and an electric kettle. Everything was clean and neat. The staff were really nice and friendly. We felt welcomed when arrived and they were extremely helpful when we needed direction to the airport and luggage storage.
• Hazel Bernadette (8/5): Great location - For Leaves Inn Nagai is near the JR Tsurugaoka Station, about a 3-minute walk, which makes it very attractive for people like us looking for accommodations in a relaxed neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of central Osaka. It's not too far from the center as well so even if we're first timers in Japan, everything was smooth. Hotel service is good as well.
• dennis (6/5): close to JR subway - I paid for 2 night stay check in is at 4 pm and check out at 10 am because of this I had to pay for an additional day (I checked out at 4pm) I was hoping that because I was checking out early on my second day they would let me check in a little early, but 4pm rule is enforced hotel is rather dated and beds are really hard room is small, I guess typical in Japan hotel is close to JR station 3-5 min walk as well as walking distance to 2 other private subways also walking distance to restaurants and stores if you are OK with a no frills hotel, this should be fine
• Chunwen (8/5): Very nice - It was a very comfortable stay, only cons were that the shower room seemed a bit rundown and had cracks in the walls, and there were no shower amenities. The staff was really nice too!

• Man (6/5): Small hotel but close to the station - This hotel is near the JR station, it takes about 5mins on foot. There is a staff in the front desk for 24 hours. However, the room is very small, especially for the bathroom. And the room is not very clean as well. But the staff is nice.
• eikichio524 (6/5): Okay... - Average cleanliness. Worn room. Have to pay for shower gel And towel. The nagai park is stunning... Spécially by nigth. Not that best place i stayed in japan, but not The worst épithète..One nigth okay... The train station is 5 minutes away .
• travelafeme (6/5): Okay for one night or two - Our room had a double bed, a small tv a desk and sink. It also had an electric kettle and 2 mugs. The bathroom was quite small and the ceiling was leaking. Toilet paper was provided but there were no soap, shampoo or towels. Check in was fast. I paid 9000 yen for 2 nights. The location was near 2 train stations. There was a spa beside it and a restaurant across from it. Lawson, 7-11 , 100 yen store and a cafe were all a few steps away. Nagai park was also near. The staff were all polite and helpful. It was a good place if you only need a place for sleeping.
• pipp87 (6/5): Good budget hotel for travel around Kansai area - We stayed 3 nights at the hotel while travelling around the Kansai area. Hotel is clean, although a little old situated in a very quiet neighbourhood. it is walking distance to the underground. It serves its purpose as somewhere to sleep in. There were a few minimarts walking distance from the hotel which is very convenient for late night feasts. There were no towels or toiletries provided, you can buy them at the reception.
• 8dieterk (8/5): Affordable 2 Star Hotel in Tsurugaoka, Osaka, Japan - The hotel is located near the subway (5 minutes) and the railway (2 minutes). The rooms are simple basic but affordable and are large by Japanese standards. One must not forget, however, the hotel has only two stars. If one of the street noise bothers you, you should ask your for a quiet room if possible. The hotel staff is very polite and accommodating but only speaks Japanese. Maybe if you're lucky, a little bit of English. Free Wi-Fi is available. Only there are no towels. But can one buy at the reception. In the immediate vicinity is a small food store open 24 hours. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is the Nagai Park. For families with children very ideal. Near the Nagai park there is a Mc Donald, KFC, Denny's and a Life supermarket and small restaurants. So, I would certainly book this hotel again
• On (8/5): VERY close to the station. - For Leaves Inn was 2 minutes away from Tsurugaoka station and it was locaed in a great place. Took us less than 30 minutes to get to Universal Studios Japan.
• ducklingn (8/5): Very nice room and very cheap - Clean, Fantastic room and has everything you want. The location is near the train station (2-3 min walk). easy to go to super market and 100 Yen shop. And it's very very cheap. Staff 's very nice but can't speak English. However They've try to help me so much.

• Thomas (10/5): Great hotel, short subway trip to heart of Osaka. - If you don't need to stay in the heart of Osaka, this is a great hotel. It's only a 5 minute walk to Nishitanabe Station, which is on the Midosuji Line. This means it's 15 minutes on the subway to Namba, with Umeda and Shin-Osaka not too much further away. It's also only 2 minutes from Tsurugaoka Station, which allows you to use your JR Pass (you would have to change in Tennoji or Shin-Imamiya to get to Namba etc. The room size is great by foreign standards, by Japanese standards it's huge. Facilities are basic, as you would expect, but for someone just needing a nice place with no frills, it's perfect. Wifi is decent. The local area is good, with an awesome little izakaya literally next door. Nagai Park is only 10 minutes by foot and a nice place to jog or walk. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay.
• STonWe (6/5): Decent Price, Decent Stay - We stayed here for two nights and found it clean, comfortable and well run. The wifi worked consistently, our room was pleasant (if not small, but of course it would be small for approx $20 a night) and the staff were as helpful as could be. They even watched our bags for us after check out so we could spend our last day in Osaka without huge backpacks weighing us down. I thought this place was good for backpackers
• lynadlaw (6/5): SOLID 2.5 budget hotel - Super duper cheap hotel, paid $46/night to stay here. Easy to get to from the station. Well lit area and tons of students staying here. I think it was a great location due to the fact that it was very easy to get to and next to the station so that you can jump on and get to any destination within Osaka easily. But the hotel was bust. No towels, you have to pay for towels. Thankfully we bring our own towels for many reasons, one of which is this. In hindsight, I would have paid a little more to stay at a better hotel. So take it as a warning, even for a budget traveller like me, I would not suggest staying at this hotel.
• M5827ZHamym (8/5): Great for budget travellers - A little tired and quiet basic, but clean and has everything you need and great price for backpackers like us. We have stayed in a few other cheap business hotels in Japan so far for hirer rates and they are basically the same (this one is just older and no frills, but actually has slightly bigger 'small double' bed)! The reception has a hand drawn map that shows all the local amenities that you want (711, coin laundry, 100 yen shop etc.) JR station (you can use your Japan rail pass) and metro both about 5min walk away. A decent Metro ride to Shin-osaka but only 1 line. Wifi works well.
• KonJi (8/5): Great Base Point for Osaka-Kyoto Travel - Went to Osaka for a week in August and stayed at For Leaves Inn as the base location. Got lost and went to the wrong For Leaves at first so be sure to check the correct location. Pros: Receptionist at both places were nice and helpful with decent English. Stayed in a 1 bed studio, pricing was good. Room was clean and decent, quite good for sleep as most of the time was spent outside anyways. Bed was decent. No Cooking area, just a sink and fridge (don't need it anyways). There's a small tv on a table on the opposite side of the room from the bed so don't look forward to watching tv in bed. Location of the Inn was great, 2 railway stations and a JR station nearby which you could walk to any. There are some local restaurants, a supermarket and 7-11 all within walking distance. A map is provided in the room and the receptionist can assist. Cons: Air con and fridge can be noisy in some rooms so be sure to check this out first and swap rooms if you can't handle it. The bathroom is quite small and smells like airplane lavatory so I recommend getting an air refresher to use (you'll need it on a daily basis). Other than that it's clean and ok to use. Overall it's great location for a base point for Osaka, extending to Kyoto travel but if you are looking to spend more time in the room than outside, this is not the place for you. Time spent there was literally 11pm-8am for showering and sleeping only.
• AlisimoUK (4/5): Don't Stay Here - The pros: It's Cheap The cons: 1. The location is an hour on several train lines out of Osaka 2. It's not clean. Our room had coffee (I hope coffee!) stains all down the side of the bed, mould around the seals in the bathroom and the desk had clearly not been cleaned at all (it still had drink rings and crumbs on it). 3. It's not well equiped: The fridge sounds like a plane taking off. So does the air conditioning unit (we had to get out of bed and pull the fridge out of the unit and disconnect it) and in our room the walls in bathroom had several cracks that had been duck-taped up. 4. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything next door and in the corridor. 5. The internet system is terrible; they give you a login that occassionally works but expires at 1am, so you have to go through it all again the next day. If you do stay though, the art-deco style cafe up the street does a great breakfast and is very reasonably priced.
• Brian075 (10/5): Very friendly staff. - Have just come back from Japan and found the For Leaves Inn great value for the money. The only small gripe was that the en-suite was a wee bit small for westeners. Great staff, great position, close to the botanical gardens where I saw the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
