- Deanne (6/5): - Room clean. Parking was ok. I am using a knee scooter and had xrays/check up/etc at Mayo clinic next day after stay. I called property to confirm that I reserved a handicap room for our stay. We arrived approx 8pm and the handicap room was not available. We stayed in a room with a couch. We had to rearrange table and chairs in order for me to get around. There was a bathtub chair available so my husband went to the front desk to get it. I was thankful they had one. Why didn't staff offer it when I checked in and she could see I was mobility impaired and room wasn't available? So, we could deal with the inconvenience for one night. However, the clincher...rock hard bed. 3 pillows. By 4:00 am, I scooted over to the couch with my pillow and extra blanket hoping this would be the answer to please get sleep. Nope. The next day at the clinic was miserable. Tired & a headache. My husband said the breakfast was pretty good. Besides donuts, yogurt, hard boiled eggs etc. there were cooked items in the fridge to choose from, that you could warm up in the microwave. i.e. 3 types of omelets, french toast, sausage links.

- Doug (6/5): - Great parking option and convenient access to Mayo Clinic, literally one block away. Despite the massive Mayo expansion project, walking was still easy to do. The room was clean, the temperature was fine, the bed was ok. The bathroom was clean but the toilet was not a "right height" tall one. The shower is a modified tub. The towels were thin, the soap was miniscule. The breakfast was a serve yourself bar. This is an older hotel that has undergone some renovation. Dont expect luxury accomodations here but a basic, clean place for a short visit. The area felt very safe.

- Barbara (10/5): - A little older …. Our room needed a little maintenance (bathroom wallpaper starting to sag) but room was clean! This hotel is convenient for Mayo appointments as it is attached to the Subway. The staff is helpful and responsive. We stay here for each visit.

- Susan (10/5): Great location - We did not have the breakfast as we had 6:30 am labs to do. The hotel is very clean & quiet & in an excellent location for getting to Mayo. We walked outside but they also have access to the subway so you don’t even have to set foot outside if you don’t want to. The AC unit was clear up next to the ceiling & my husband had to stand on the bed to reach it & adjust the temp. Other than that & maybe a few updates that need to be done it’s a good, clean place to stay. In fact, we will have to go back several times in the future & I will try to book here again

- Glen (2/5): - This hotel is run down. It certainly does not deserve the advertised 8.6 rating. It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The ratings for this hotel are deceiving. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable, the air conditioner was loud and the room smelled musty and old.

- Matthew (10/5): - We have stayed about 8 nights at this hotel on recent months for visits to Mayo Clinic. This hotel is quite a bit cheaper than neighboring hotels. The rooms are “dated” but they are always exceptionally clean. Love the convenience of being connected to Mayo via tunnel system. Our biggest complaint is the pillows are paper thin, but now that we know, we opt to bring our own. Will most likely stay here for all future Mayo visits.

The staff is very nice and helpful, and the hotel and rooms are clean and nicely equipped prioritizing function over fluff given most guests stay there while visiting the world renowned Mayo clinic. I highly recommend!

However, that led to everyone being helpful to each other and a fun breakfast. The room was dated but very clean and comfortable. We are coming back for our next Mayo visit in May.

The garage next door is very loud all night. The bed and pillows were horrible. Had the worst night sleep for a very early appointment at the Mayo Clinic. Not worth the $155 I spent.

- Douglas (8/5): The best place to stay near the Mayo. - This is our go-to place when we have appointments at the Mayo Clinic. They offer free parking, heated underground access to the Mayo Clinic, and even have a decent breakfast included.

- Rhonda (10/5): A welcoming and comfortable place to stay - Brentwood Inn is an older hotel, but it is very clean and rooms are comfortable. Staff members are friendly and helpful. A perfect place to stay if you are in Rochester for medical appointments.
- Pioneer316466 (10/5): No problems - This hotel is literally right across the street from Mayo Clinic and it’s also right across the street from the Hope house. Check in and check out was very easy. The staff was friendly. It is an older hotel, but everything was very clean. The sheets and pillowcases were pristine. It was roomy. I would definitely stay here again. I will tell you that I was unable to keep the air conditioner running all the time, which is what I’m used to because I sleep well with fan noise. However, it cycled on and off enough to keep the room very cool. The continental breakfast was what is usually served, things like cereal, oatmeal, and the sausage, French toast, and egg dishes were in the refrigerator which you needed to heat up. But I got the ham cheese omelette and it heated up fine and was quite good.
