Please note take the take the right turn off from the N7 highway towards Citrusdal. When you enter Citrusdal, stop at the 4-way stop and then turn right into Keerom Road. Continue driving for approximately 3.7 mi to Wolfkop Nature Reserve.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

- John (2/5): Don't believe all you read! - The area is beautiful, no question about that. The views from the deck were sensational. The serenity of the area, really very special. A place to relax... unquestionable. Remote and silent..., very pleasing. It started the night before, a request to fill-in the 'form'. Not a problem, but the advise to wear long trousers for walking, beware of baboons, scorpions, snakes... we are locals, but our visiting family not, so were totally unprepared and worried that they had not prep'd enough. That circular should have come a week prior, not the night before, they could not make a plan... really poor show & not appreciated. Arriving was fine, finding the key OK, but after 3 hours of travelling the ladies needed the loo... not welcoming, neither had been flushed, not a pretty sight. On unpacking kitchen stuffs, the previous tenant had dropped jam or fruit in a corner, so we had an ant infestation, which needed attending to. Moving to dinner, all was OK, except the toaster was not working and tripped the electrics every time we wanted to make toast. It took us about 20 mins to work out, the appliance was shorting the entire building. Don't use toaster, but to use the grill in the small cooker, which worked, but toasting took 3-4 times longer. The rest of the day was very special. The next morning, and one of the reasons for choosing Wolfkop... the walks. We decided to do the Leopard Trail. 8km felt good, so we set off. Found the start ok, but this is where the rest of the morning went terribly wrong. First 800m was a pleasant hike, coming to the Leopard/Baboon sign. Continuing until we came across a Ranger & his 'trail-bike route' making team. He guided us on a "Leopard" trail hike that was a 3 hours rock climb of dangerous proportions. We returned, covered in black (from burnt vegetation), all four of us with open bleeding wounds from cuts and gashes from sharp rocks and tight crevices and thoroughly exhausted after a truly challenging rock climb/descent. The route is simply not marked and the Ranger was ill-guided and reckless. From our injuries, we all had to leave a night early to get medical attention.

Very difficult to turn a car around in driveway due to rocks Fence on deck loose and not safe. The deck area needs to be renovated. Chairs on deck broken and braai utensils outside is dirty. Also both oven pans in the stove were dirty.

Enjoyed the jacuzzi and splash pool (although it was really coldđ) Beautiful clear night skies full of stars. Nothing to fault with cottage. Only point to bring up is that hiking is a challenge as the paths are not well marked and the staff didnât know where some of them started?

- TricksyBiscuit (8/5): A wonderful spot for a group getaway - Our group of 6 adults and 4 kids had a wonderful stay here. The house is clean, modern and decorated with care. There are gorgeous views from the deck, pool and hot tub (and 2 of the bedrooms). We loved the huge fridge - a lifesaver for a multi-day trip with a group of 10 - and ice machine. It would have been nice to have the option to separate some of the king beds into 2 singles for the kids. The kitchen was missing a few basics (like a pair of scissors), and we would have loved a full sized oven for when you don't feel like braaiing. A dishwasher would also have been lovely touch.

- Esmee (8/5): Lovely cottages - The hot tub and braai make for a special stay and the cottage is super well equipped! We did expect it to be a little more âoff the gridâ than it actually was, you can still hear the main road and see citrusdal and the farms from the house and itâs only 5 minutes away from Citrusdal. I do realise that for some this might actually be a plus! When we took a walk around the area we also realised that some of the other cottages in the reserve are situated a lot further up in the mountains and I think these might have a more âoff the gridâ feel to them so we might consider booking one of those next time!

- Andrew (6/5): - The area, location and views were excellent Too many things were broken - digital TV, parasol over pool, washing machine. The main bathroom started to smell bad very soon after we got there. Whilst we were told quite strictly that we had to check in no earlier than 1400, the staff were still cleaning until 1530 - so we had to sit outside in 30c heat. In general, the kitchen utensils and cookware were shoddy, old and not really usable.

- TandyS (8/5): The ideal getaway! - The house is extremely spacious and is ideal for 3 couples, or a family. There are two fridges / freezers making it perfect for doing shopping before you arrive. The pool was most welcome in the heat, as were the air conditioning units. Jethro was always available to assist which gave us peace of mind due to the fires. The oven is not usable due to the markings not being on the oven, but there is a small oven which was perfect for us. Other than that, anything that was not perfect was sorted out straight away which meant we had no complaints.

- Jana (10/5): - Tolle Aussicht, schönes Haus (Fynbos) im Nirgendwo und der nĂ€chste Nachbar ist nicht zu sehen. Die nĂ€chste Stadt Citrusdal ist 5 min mit dem Auto entfernt (von der StraĂe unten gerechnet, noch oben zu den HĂ€usern fĂ€hrt man etwas ĂŒber einen Feldweg, je nachdem welches man hat....), dort gibt es einen groĂen Spar und eine Tankstelle. Restaurants gibt es auch, wir haben aber keins probiert. 2 SĂ€cke Holz waren bei uns inklusive. Mit einem halben, bis einem Sack konnte man den Hot Tub heizen, je nach gewĂŒnschter Temperatur und Ausgangstemperatur. Das Haus war super ausgestattet. Wir haben vorher eine Nachricht bekommen, was alles da ist, das hatte auch genau gestimmt. Kaffeebohnen, Grinder und eine French Press waren da. Aufpassen welches Haus man genau bucht (auf der Webseite checken)! Wenn man ein Auto ohne Allrad hat und es nass ist, könnte der eine HĂŒgel vor dem Fynbos Haus und den HĂ€usern danach etwas problematisch beim zurĂŒck fahren sein. Der Sonnenschirm war etwas komisch, der hat sich die ganze Zeit bewegt, aber das geht vielleicht bei dem Wind nicht anders.

DO NOT recommend - dishes were packed untidy - caretaker was aware that dishwasher did not work and we were not informed - broken fan in the room - electricity tripped after about an hour into the stay. The DB board is in the garage that is filled with someone's belongings and looks like it hasn't been opened for years. Looked like a junkyard and full of spiderweb and dust. - the fridge froze the food - couches were worn out and uncomfortable - sleeper couch very worn out - rugs all worn out - the chairs for the dining area were all torn and worn out - It states that the 3rd bedroom is downstairs... what was failed to mention was that this third bedroom was downstairs outside and not accessible from main home. - was an overall unpeaceful stay - there's no gate or security at the entrance to check who enters or leaves. - there's no staff available - distance from the main road to leopard rock is about 5km of rough gravel which was not stated. We did not travel in 4 x 4. There was not proper signage. - the aesthetic was out dated and didn't match the feel of the photos. - the gate mesh inside is torn - there was strong unpleasant odor in home. - walls are all cracked with random hooks placed all over - no proper decoration - pipes lying around outside near the third bedroom

Es war alles vorhanden, was man zum Leben braucht. Das umliegende Land ist riesig und wunderschön â ideal zum Wandern oder um die Ruhe zu genieĂen und viele Tiere zu beobachten. Reibungslose Kommunikation und Informationsaustausch. Wir kommen gern wieder vorbei - beschĂ€digte Möbel minderte den Gesamteindruck ein wenig - permanenter LĂ€rm der Poolpumpen, wodurch die Ruhe und der schöne Ausblick auf das Land weniger genossen werden konnten (auĂer beim Stromausfall) - laute Mitarbeiter, ihre GesprĂ€che und Rufe, Telefonate waren deutlich bis zum unserem Haus hörbar

- John (6/5): Choose a different unit! - The view of the unit was beautiful. The unit - Leopoard Rock is extremely dated. The chairs are in tatters. Glasses chipped. The drain was blocked and ceated a horrible smell. The pool water had algea growing on it. Broken light fittings. Only 1 of the 4 lights in the bedroom were working. The view from the braai was dirty mops. I suggest the owners visit their property and improve the amenities because they will not have repeat visitors.

- Marianne (9/5): - Wir waren im Rooibos Haus, das einen prima Standard und eine tolle Aussicht hat. Sehr bequemes Kingsize Bett, groĂes Badezimmer. Zum GlĂŒck hatten wir bequeme Sessel dabei und konnten damit auf der Terrasse sitzen. Die KĂŒchenausstattung ist mangelhaft. Es gibt nur einen einzigen, sehr groĂen Topf und eine recht kleine Pfanne. Die beiden Sitzkissen aus Stoff auf der Terrasse sind sehr schmutzig und wurden von Pavianen genutzt. Bequeme Sitzmöglichkeiten fĂŒr Senioren auf der Terrasse fehlen.

The bath doesnât have cold water, only hot so you need to add cold water manually from another tap. The showers are not sealed at the bottom so the water leaks out. The lion room doesnât have its own air-con remote. A light is needed close to the braai on the evenings. Shade is needed for the car for to the heat.

- Burger (10/5): Being in awe with Wolfkop... - Everything! We literally couldn't find anything to complain about! Having to book the last available house, we had to be content with a double bed - we perfectly understood that... But we looooove and prefer king size beds wherever we stay.

More than enough utensils The cleaning staff needs to use a checklist when preparing a unit. Some appliances were broken and not replaced. There was a shortage of bath towels and no hand towels. Bring your own shampoo

Note that the road to the units might be tricky especially after heavy rain. I would recommend a vehicle with high ground clearance.

- Anne (8/5): We had a very enjoyable stay at Wolfkop and would love to visit again and do more of the hikes. - Our cottage, Leopard Rock was in a beautiful location. The views were exquisite. We enjoyed a hike on the property. The kitchen was very well equipped with a seating area and the lounge was spacious with a fireplace. There was also plenty of seating outside.

- Dale (8/5): Wonderful getaway - We liked that the manager was available the second we needed him and was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The facilities and extras were a very thoughtful and welcoming touch. When we arrived the pool was dirty and the lights dull because of the dirt, but was quickly resolved by the manager.

The views are simply stunning and location fantastic. Lovely trails into the mountain, with a choice of walks of various difficulties. The open-plan showers in our unit (Kokerboom) result in water all over the bathroom and following the contour out the door and into the passage way, but nothing a few towels on the floor couldn't address

- Wllliam (8/5): If you like the nature and silence, this is the place. - The area and the view. It was raining, so we could not walk around, but the mountains are so beautiful. In summer the swimming pool and the hot tub will be a big bonus. No problems at all.

Once we arrived we had to call to find out where we must go. The Lady was friendly on the phone. Kolkol was cold and took 3 large bags of wood and hours to heat up. Would have been a special touch if the Kolkol fire was atleast started before our arrival. Drain in the one bathroom was very stinky. Washing machine was out of order.
- Ayesha (9/5): Exactly what we needed - Loved the home overall: the indoor jacuzzi with adjustable temperature, the fireplace and complete privacy was so great. We stayed at kokerboom and it had towels, fire lighters, braai equipment, an ice maker, juicer, a huge fridge. and all other kitchen necessities. The water seemed a bit murky so be sure to pack in your drinking water. Definately take everything you need along with for the trip, including your own hairdryer, it isnt included. If you're staying for a while maybe bring some hangers along with you. There isnt any drawers or shelving to put your clothes, just a pole without hangers. It does however have a shelve on top. . The terrible road to get there was dreadful for me. You dont want to venture in to town on the bumpy road you drive to head to the chalets. A normal car's shocks will not make it. The lights were filled with flies and moths from what looked like months of accumalation. the first bedrooms had two uneven super uncomfy single beds pushed together. 2nd bedroom had lovely beds. 3rd bedrooms bed was hard af. Lucky for us it was just the two of us in a 6 sleeper. Had we been more guests it would have been unpleasant to stay in kokerboom due to this. But since it was just the two of us, we had one terrible night of rest and a second lovely night. The beds really need replacing, and the road need some tar or paving. Overall though, I'd go again! The seclusion, peace and serenity, being completely isolated in nature is just amazing. The beautiful views with your morning coffee will take your breathe away.

- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional - Wow! Wow! Wow! This was our favourite week of our entire holiday. The peace and tranquility of Wolfkop Nature Reserve is something you have to experience yourself. Harpuis was exactly what we were hoping for and more. A clean comfortable house with each room having its own ensuite to accommodate a group with a pool, spa, indoor braai area and a kitchen with everything you need. The view of this spectacular location was breathtaking. Away from the hustle and bustle to take in nature at its best. We loved our stay and will be back. Thank you.
