• Jena (10/5): Exotic oasis in the middle of Beijing - The property is beautiful and it was the perfect place to retire throughout the day as we were exploring Beijing. The herringbone marble elevators were EPIC. Also, the bathrooms were beautifully done. The refrigerator in our room did NOT cool any of our food or ice. This was very annoying as we had to get up every morning and go out to order an iced coffee and we were unable to save any leftover food. I’ve was melting in a matter of hours.

• Antoni (10/5): - Facilities and room great. Breakfast with lots of options. We used the pool and the warm water pool. All clean and convenient and confortable. Lots of good options for eating out at walking distance from the hotel, also two parks. In the afternoon live traditional Chinese music in the lobby! Depending on traffic conditions it can take up to 45' to get to Forbidden City by taxi. The concierge organized a taxi for us to visit Great Wall. The ride itself was good and reasonably priced. The only issue was that the driver suggested us to visit a tea shop, that later turned out to be a 'tourist trap' with overpriced tea.

Worst 5-star hotel that we ever stayed! - Nothing Exceptionally Poor Experience – Absolutely Not a 5-Star Hotel We stayed at NUO Hotel Beijing from 20–22 December (winter), room 2220 and this was hands down one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Despite branding itself as a luxury 5-star hotel, NUO Hotel feels more like a basic business hotel, falling far short of true luxury service standards. 1. No Porter Service Upon Arrival 2. Faulty Air-Conditioning – Unresolved for Our Entire Stay 3. Humiliating and Unprofessional Checkout Experience At checkout, a staff member, Ms. Lu Yuan01, demanded that we produce a receipt to verify the payment mode for our deposit refund. Shouldn’t a hotel of this supposed standard have a system that records how deposits are paid at check-in? We were forced to open our luggage in the lobby, in full view of other guests, just to retrieve the receipt. What made this experience even more insulting was that Ms. Lu Yuan01 stood there watching us search, making us feel as though we were being treated like thieves. It was deeply embarrassing, humiliating, and disrespectful. Overall, this stay was nothing but disappointment, frustration and embarrassment. The service quality and staff professionalism are far below what is expected of a 5-star hotel.

• MAI (9/5): ラグジュアリー♡ - 美術館のような空間。ふかふかのベッド。素敵なバスタブ。毎日朝はジムにプールにサウナ、午後は観光でした。疲れて帰ってもホテルに癒されました。 1Fのオールダイニングレストラン？が終日営業しているかと思いきや、朝の朝食タイムのみの営業？みたいでした。そのあたりのシステムがちょっと不明。ま、でも外で食べれば問題なし。
• JaeSun (10/5): 또 가고 싶은 NUO - 아침식사는 조식이었는데, 사실 4박 내내 비슷한 조식 먹으니 조금 물리긴 했지만 그래도 전체적인 구성이 만족스러웠음. 룸은 제법 크고 특히 화장실이 커서 좋았는데, 세면대 두개에 욕조 하나, 그리고 세면대 맞은편의 널널한 파우더공간, 화장실변기와 샤워실이 따로 분리 되어 있어서 씻고, 화장하고, 준비하는데 동선이 꼬이지 않아 매우 만족스러웠음. 우리는 트윈을 이용했는데 침구세트 잘 관리되어 있고 베개도 편안해서 4일 내내 잘 잔듯. 드레스룸도 넓어서 캐리어 두개 두고 거울 보고 옷 걸어두는 등 여러가지로 널찍한 공간이라 맘에 들었음. 직원들 친절도 매우 좋고, 슬리퍼 푹신해서 정말 좋았고, 멋지고 웅장한 로비도 인상적이었음. 중국을 느껴보고 싶어서 일부러 월드체인호텔 예약 안하고 여기 예약했는데, 호텔 만족도 매우 좋았음!!! 다음번에 베이징 간다면 여기 다시 가고 싶음. 호텔 바로 건너에 중소규모의 마트 있어서 물품 사기도 나쁘지 않고, 도보 1-2분 사이에 맥주집 등도 있음. 편의점 찾는다고 하니 호텔 앞까지 직원이 나와서 방향 설명도 해줌. 영어커뮤니케이션이 모든 직원에게 다 가능하진 않지만 영어 잘하는 분들이 많아서 소통에도 어려움 없었음. 수영장은 레인이 따로 있지는 않은 큰 풀장이지만 바닥에 레인 표시가 되어 있었고, 물 상태도 좋았음. 사우나도 있는데 이용은 안했지만 이용하는 사람이 적어서 호캉스 느낌 제대로 느낄 수 있었음. 수영장 밖에는 따듯한 온도의 작은 풀장이 있어서 수영하다가 낮아진 체온 잡아줄 수 있는데, 여기는 뭔가~ 하고 들어가려 하니 무심하게 에어마사지 켜주는 안전요원이 있어서 새삼 고마웠음ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그리고 에어 마사지 끝나서 어.. 끝났다 하니까 한번 더 켜줌ㅋㅋㅋ 헬스장도 깨끗하고 사람 적어서.... 시간만 더 있었어도 고루고루 이용했을텐데 너무 일정이 바빠서 많이 즐기지 못해 아쉬움 ㅠㅠ 헬스장/수영장/사우나 이용객을 위한 샤워실도 매우 퀄리티 좋음. 수건 많이 있고 청소도 주기적으로 계속 되고 있어서 바닥 물기 없고 머리카락 등 위생적으로도 정말 좋았음. 이 정도 퀄리티의 호텔을 이 가격에 즐길 수 있다니 정말 좋다고 생각함! 강추~ 조식 메뉴가 매일 같았다는 점...? 근데 이건 모든 호텔이 동일한 부분이라 ㅎㅎ 여기 호텔만의 아쉬운 점이라고 할 수는 없음.

• John (10/5): - NUO Hotel Beijing is a perfect mix of modern luxury and Chinese elegance. Spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and a fantastic breakfast buffet made my stay memorable. The staff were warm and attentive, and while some sights are a bit further away, the comfort and service more than make up for it. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

His quick response and solution oriented attitude made us feel much better and we might come back again next time when we come to Beijing. Nevertheless without his help and support, we wouldn’t choose NUO anymore in the future. Downside of the stay: breakfast receptionist was quite rude to my husband that she didn’t allow him to come in and meet us in the breakfast spot because breakfast time is up even though he told her that he is not here for breakfast. There was a monk in the lobby asking for money as well which made us feel quite wired and upset.

The cleaning crew even folded our clothes when we were away. Also thank you to Ms. Gao at the front desk who was extremely helpful and nice to us when we needed to book train tickets. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
