• exptraveler2016 (8/5): Nice location and people running the place - I liked his little Bed and Breakfast. These were basic accommodations but the outside kitchen made you feel like you were far away from home, a unique experience. When you went through the back of the hotel and followed the small street behind you found a strip with reasonable bakeries, a fruit and fish market, even a restaurant, which is open on the weekends. Breakfast was homemade and a bit different every day. The only thing that was not great was on arrival, no one answered the entrance to the front door and the housekeepers working in some rooms above where there was construction/remodeling going on. You could hear them speaking but they did not answer when spoken to. Before leaving we did have an issue with a toilet leak but that did not hinder our stay. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

I really like it here. the breakfast had homemade pastries and food that was exceptional as if you got it from the bakery. the variety of juices and types of milk and food was exceptional, especially at this price point. Right before we left we did have a toilet leak but it was when we were leaving, so it did not affect our time there. I definitely would recommend and return there.
• shannonbristow (10/5): The real packing for Sicily - I reviewed many you tube videos on packing for Sicily in October, forget them they are woefully incorrect. Everyone wears sneakers, Italians are still wearing white and yes they wear flip flops. Women were in shorts, tank tops and sun dresses as well as jeans. Casual attire in the most expensive restaurants in Taormina was the norm. We traveled all around Sicily from Palermo to Taormina to hill towns in Gangi. My advice wear what is comfortable for you and be respectful and polite, you will have a fabulous time.

The highlight is the amazing breakfast that Paolaakes from scratch and with love. Every type of italian dolce you can think of is on the table. It was heaven! Grazie Paola!

With a car the location is perfect for visiting Taormina and the surrounding area. Breakfast was the best I have had in Sicily with eggs, cheese, fruit and a wide selection of breads and pastries. Paola, the owner, was very kind and a great source of travel advice.

La colazione è abbondante e varia; ho apprezzato molto la torta e la marmellata fatte in casa. Assolutamente consiglio questo B&B.

El dueño envió a otra persona que no hablaba inglés, español ni .... A la hora del check-out tampoco habia nadie, habiendo avisado que partiamos a las 7 para hacer el treking del volcan Etna. Las sabanas estaban sucias, etc. La verdad, que no sé si esto se debió a un error de habitación o ... El caso es que no había nadie para hablar asi que nuestra experiencia no fue buena. No recomendaria este B&B.

All'arrivo la titolare ci ha lasciati sotto il sole ad aspettare non so bene cosa prima di farci vedere la stanza. Avevo prenotato una camera con 1 letto matrimoniale e 2 letti singoli (non per esigenza ma perche' era l'unica disponibile) e invece c'era solo il letto matrimoniale. Buona la colazione, stanze carine con parcheggio gratuito per gli ospiti.

Sicily was getting hot when we were there. A shared kitchen was included but we only used the refrigerator. Breakfast was acceptable. Really like that hard boiled eggs were supplied as well as the usual yogurt and bread.

• galeasarah (2/5): Thanks God we spent only 1 night - Rooms were big for family of four but rooms where not clean. In my life i never slept in a dis comfortable bed like that night. Not to mention towels where grey from white. Waking up for breakfast we ended up eating standing and than we managed to find a table. Kids eating with other people, hubby on an another and me on my own on another table. Breakfast nothing wow. Will never return not worth the €70 spent per night

We booked a room with a double and two singles - the room was clean and ready for us upon arrival and despite the owner not speaking much English (and us little Italian), everything was friendly and we were sorted out promptly. The beds were a little hard but that’s really personal taste. The local area is not particularly interesting but a good base to drive on up to Mt Etna or are nearby Taormina. Breakfast in the morning was great. Cereals, tea, coffee, toast, pastries, ham, cheese, yoghurts and, best of all, the owners home baked cake which was delicious! (Who doesn’t honestly want cake with their breakfast?) Overall a pleasing stay and great value for money.

• alikarim (10/5): Excellent, quiet, clean, well appointed, and super affordable B&B - This is a an excellent B&B run by a very nice family. The rooms are very nice, quiet, comfortable, and private. The breakfast is included and is very very nice, with good homely food. Plus its a short 20 min drive to Taormino, the tourist attractions; where accommodations prices and restaurants are expensive. So this is a vey good alternative if you have a car. Also has great views of the nearby towns

If you are going for a short time to Taormina know that this is very far from the important places . If you want to experience the life in a nice small town in Sicilia and even cook your dinner this is a treasure. You will find fridge stove plates everything. The owner is awesome and ready to help with everything.Also you have a private patio to enjoy the stars and smells. The breakfast is very good specially the cakes and the nice place where they serve it.

• leanneandtony (10/5): What a friendly warm host - Parking onsite. The rooms were large and bathrooms just as large. A small verandah where you can sit and enjoy a wine. The room was very clean and tidy and ours had a small kitchenette hidden in the cupboard with all the cooking utensils Good breakfast with cereal. Breads, sweet cakes, coffee and tea. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Pillows. All the places we have visited in Italy, the pillows need upgrading. Same here. Easy 10 minute drive to the coast. Great pizza restaurant 10 minutes walk with a very good local house red. Cheap too Definitely recommend this b&b
• Charley (10/5): Really nice place and close to town. - Really nice place, close to town , good breakfast , secure parking, clean rooms with sitting areas, Taormina and Etna are close, as is ferry to Reggia Calabria. Lots of restaurants nearby.
• Marissa (10/5): - Paola!!! We had an amazing time at Paola’s B and B Sicily in love. It was a lovely clean room and bathroom. It’s about 15 min outside of Taormina. You need a car to get to this B and B but it’s worth it. In order to get into the center of Taormina you have to go up the mountain and there are several hairpin turns, people park wherever they want to and parking is impossible and or very expensive. I also felt a little trapped when on top of Taormina so staying here was much better for us. Paola had ample parking for all the rooms at the B and B for free. The driveway is steep but you can drive down and turn around so there’s no problem. Each morning she made us a delicious breakfast including a zucchini frittata, homemade marmalades, coffee, juice, yogurt and homemade orange cake. Breakfast is served in a cute little enclosed outdoor area, it was chilly in the morning and she had an outdoor heater, which was most appreciated. We communicated mostly in Italian with the help of google translate. She is very kind and pleasant. Our rooms were serviced each day, fresh new towels and soaps given. The shared kitchen was stocked with pots pans fridge freezer utensils dishes etc. Outside the downstairs rooms there is a cute outdoor seating area with a view of Mt. Etna. There is a grocery store near by and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Paola can book Godfather and Etna Tours. Highly recommend staying here!

• Susan (10/5): Amazing B and B...Highly Recommend - We loved this b and b. You will need a hire car as its out of the way from the main tourist areas and not in Taormina but around 15 mins drive away and 6 minutes down to the beach at Giardini Naxios with its bars and cafes. Sicily in Love is just a few minutes from the motorway so easy to get to and to get around. At the bottom of the hill are local shops and pizza places. If you need to buy an Italian adaptor (they are different to the EU ones), then the ARD supermarket sells them for a couple of euro. We didn't have one but Paula, the lovely owner, lent us one. In hindsight we should have bought a couple which would have stopped the daily fight to charge devices..Now to the apartment itself - we had a one bedroom plus living room with sofa bed and kitchenette. The wifi was excellent which made my teenager very happy (and gave me a little peace after dragging him around the sites all day)..TV was large and had cable channels (only English is the usual news channels plus horse TV - who knew?)..the beds were large and comfortable and the rooms were large and modern with a/c and heating units in each room. Breakfast was typical continental with a lot on offer and the personal touch of Paula...The local area was a little noisy but this is Sicily after all. There is secure parking on site. All in all, a lovely B and B and, for the price, is highly recommended.

• Anna (6/5): Quiet with shared kitchen - The landlady is a very smart business woman but I would caution visitors to avoid her recommendations and not buy tickets from her. She is honest but also interested in making extra money off you, not always to your benefit.
• Will (8/5): Great little B&B, in a quiet part of the world. - With a car, this is a wonderful little place to stay near Taormina, if you enjoy peace and quiet and want to take advantage of a real, and quiet, (non-touristy) Sicilian town. Do not stay here without a car because there really isn't anything to see or do nearby, and the buses are not very practicable. 40 minute drive to Mount Etna, 20 minute drive to Taormina centre, and maybe 35 minutes to Catania. (Times are quick ball-park estimates). The host is fantastic, albeit very little English is spoken. Again, this can be a positive if you are looking to practice your Italian or want a real Italian experience. Breakfast is good and has all the necessary offerings. Parking is free, on site, behind a locked gate. Be warned, the decor is very kitch, but the rooms are large and have everything needed for cooking yourself a nice Italian meal (plenty of little botegas nearby)
