• theresa (5/5): Overall, the hotel may suit those who care mostly about the location, but in terms of comfort and quality, the experienc - The location is excellent - you can easily walk everywhere. However, this unfortunately also means that it is extremely noisy throughout the night. The windows are very thin, and all the street noise can be clearly heard from the room, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was definitely the positive side of the stay. Unfortunately, that is where the good things ended. The price-to-quality ratio is not justified. The hotel is listed as a 4-star property on Booking, but in reality it is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are worn out, the furniture is outdated, and even the bed linens feel tired and used. The room also did not look like the pictures shown online. The breakfast was also disappointing, with a very limited selection. Another issue was that Booking allowed us to select a twin room, but upon arrival we were told that this room type does not actually exist. Instead, we were given an “upgrade” to a larger room meant for four people. While the room was bigger, it still did not match what we originally booked and expected.

Notre chambre appartement était situé dans un autre bâtiment qui donnait sur le côté du Panthéon. Nous n'avons donc pas eu les petits déjeuners compris. Quartier et appartement très bruyant. Difficile de bien dormir à cause des vitrages simples et des bruits de rue. C'était donc plus une location d'appartement qu'une chambre d'hôtel. On n'a presque pas vu le personnel de l'hôtel. Les transports en commun sont assez loin parce qu'on est dans le centre historique piétonnier. Il faut marcher énormément.

• Frank (10/5): Geweldige dagen mede dankzij de mooie accommodatie in een prachtige stad. - We hadden een vierpersoonskamer geboekt maar kregen bij aankomst een update naar de executive suite omdat we langer dan 3 nachten verbleven. Dit was geweldig met een prachtig uitzicht op het Pantheon. De slaapkamers en badkamers waren heel netjes en schoon. Iedere dag werden de bedden opgemaakt en de badkamers gepoetst en kregen we schone handdoeken. We hadden een late terugvlucht en konden de koffers in de suite laten staan totdat we naar het vliegveld vertrokken. We konden geen ontbijt bijboeken, maar er zijn genoeg restaurantjes in de buurt waar je prima kunt ontbijten. De locatie is zo centraal dat je alle bezienswaardigheden lopend kunt bereiken. Er zijn heel veel restaurantjes in de buurt waar je 's avonds lekker kunt eten. Niets. Alles was perfect.

Air conditioning awful ( they must be aware as despite full air conditioning unit in each of the 2 rooms ( bedroom and 2nd room), they have an electric table fan in the cupboard ( no need to provide that if the air conditioning was functioning). Bathroom/shower small and water pressure poor - but not unusual for a historic type building ( charming) in a European city.). Reception only open 7am to 8.00pm and often unattended during those hours - which makes arrivals/departures sometimes tricky.
• Esther (5/5): - While the location was superb, we were not accommodated on the main building but an adjacent private apartment building where it turned out that three of those apartments were owned by the hotel. That is not what we had booked, as we do not want to contribute to the gentrification that massive tourism is causing to major cities. Hotel rooms should never be part of a private apartment building. That is why we never use AirBnB and that is why we are very disappointed that the hotel never told us about it until we were there. Since it was not a hotel but an old apartment building and we were in one of the former apartments, the room was old and small. It did not look like the four stars the hotel claims to have, it felt more like three than four. The bed was very comfortable and the windows did a good job dimming the outside noise, but the air conditioning was old and loud. However, what we disliked the most was not being in a hotel but a private building that should only be for neighbors.

Wij zouden La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon zeker aa - We verbleven van dinsdag tot zondag bij La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon en hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad. De locatie is werkelijk perfect: midden in het centrum en vrijwel alles in Rome is op loopafstand te bereiken. Voor een stedentrip is dit echt ideaal. De kamer en het verblijf waren schoon en hygiënisch, wat meteen een goede indruk gaf. Alles was netjes verzorgd en het voelde comfortabel om hier meerdere dagen te verblijven. Een leuk extra punt is dat er tegenover het verblijf een plek zit waar je heerlijk koffie en broodjes kunt halen, wat perfect is voor een snel ontbijt voordat je de stad ingaat. Samenvattend: een fijne plek om te verblijven met een top locatie. Wij zouden La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon zeker aanraden aan anderen die Rome bezoeken. Het enige kleine minpunt was het geluid van buiten. Omdat je zo centraal zit, hoor je soms straatgeluiden. Mogelijk kan dit al grotendeels worden opgelost met wat extra isolatie bij de ramen.

Dennis was so helpful arranging transportation for us and going above board in assisting us. If there is any negative for us , it is there is no elevator. However the staff was very helpful.

Estaba en pleno centro de Roma, lo que hacía todo súper accesible y nos permitió movernos andando a todos los sitios sin necesidad de transporte. En cuanto a los aspectos negativos, la habitación era bastante antigua, aunque es cierto que la cama resultaba cómoda y se dormía bien. Las ventanas estaban poco aisladas, por lo que durante la noche se escuchaba bastante ruido de la calle, incluso gente gritando, lo que dificultaba el descanso. Además, cuando llegamos la habitación estaba muy fría, y a la mañana siguiente no había agua caliente. Eso sí, hay que destacar que el problema se solucionó con rapidez cuando lo comunicamos.

The location is next to Pantheon, although there’s a lot of people and traffic it was very quiet in the room. Our room didn’t overlook the Pantheon like I thought it would based on the photos, but it didn’t make much of a difference and the Pantheon is literally around the corner. The staff provided a very helpful map and estimated walking distance to attractions, very helpful. No elevator for very heavy bags.

• Chloe (9/5): Awesome! - Staff was awesome and consistently helpful, sharing tips about exploring the city. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. There is a little room full of treats and breakfast. It's a cozy place. Best thing about it was the location. Absolutely PRIME. Seriously. You get out of bed and boom, you are next to the Pantheon which is also where all the city center taxis line up so even if you didn't want to explore by foot, you could get anywhere. I didn't realize that the main way to get up was by stairs, so accessibility may be an issue for some. I also thought that because we were so close to city center, it was a tad noisy at night. It worked out for our stay because we were so tired from exploring nothing could keep us up.

The Pantheon is very central and La Residenza is right next to it. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Both Amal and Francesca were very knowledgeable and helped us to find the best routes to places we wanted to visit. The room was pleasant and very clean but still had character. It did not feel ‘corporate’. The bed was extremely comfortable. Although the bathroom was small, the shower was excellent. The breakfast was simple but fresh and authentically Italian. Really good coffee, thank you for that Francesca. The area around the Pantheon has many small restaurants and bars that are reasonably priced and friendly. It felt quite safe to walk around at night. Nothing really. It was rather a surprise to find that the entrance was a door straight onto the street. At first we thought we had come to a private residence. However, it was quite fun to have a door key and to feel like a local !

• Daniel (8/5): In the middle of Ancient Rome. - Central to the Ancient Rome area. Close to Trevi fountain, Vatican and of course the Pantheon and tons of restaurants and shops. The room was clean and service was great. The room windows were very poor and didn’t insulate for sound or incoming cold air.
• Jamie (10/5): Amazing and comfortable stay in Rome - Great location, walk out and just a few steps around the corner is the Pantheon! Room was very nice, we asked for two twins and ended up with a large bed and a twin bed. Shower was nice and large, and nice to have a towel warmer. Breakfast had a nice variety and staff was nice and friendly, even offered to help us book a car service to the airport. Nothing

Francesca é uma excelente funcionária, recebe os hospedes, prepara o cafe, cuida dos quartos, carrega mala, etc… Cafe gostoso, mas bem simples, poucas opções.

• Sergey (9/5): - Perfect location, great service, very clean and comfortable rooms. There is a bit noise comming outside of the street, but earplugs provides a solution.
• Illam (10/5): Overall, our stay was perfect and once again thank you to Amal and Sabina for all their services. - We really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The staff, both Amal and Sabina were very nice and very helpful. They were very friendly and gave us excellent suggestions to go around and also shopping spots. The best part of the hotel we liked was the availability of some of the breakfast items, all the time at the lobby area, besides the full morning breakfast. This helped us, especially when we had to leave early for the day trips, and can grab coffee and some of the basic items before we left. We loved it and on the days we woke up late, the breakfast provided was also excellent with the staff making some really good cappuccino. The only thing I can think of is, the steps to get up the first floor, but it was not a big deal at all, as it gave us some good exercise and the steps were wider and lighted well. So, this is not a complain at all.

• Nancy (9/5): - Top ligging, om de hoek lag het Pantheon. Heel vriendelijk, lekker ontbijt, ruime kamer. Elke ochtend tijdens het ontbijt werden de handdoeken ververst en bedden opnieuw opgedekt. Wij vinden het een aanrader!
