- Jeremy Paul (10/5): - I have stayed many times at various units in Pinnacle 220. It is always a pleasure with great staff and any help when needed. Close to everything in the Romantic Zone. You can easily walk the Malecón from just below Pinnacles to the downtown plaza with many great restaurants close by. A beautiful place to enjoy Puerto Vallarta. The rooftop pool has a view of Vallarta and the beautiful sunsets.
- David (8/5): - Clean and great staff, only downside was that the air conditioning in kitchen/living room did not cool very well and it dripped water on the desk each night and we had to wipe up water every morning. Other than that great place to stay, great location and close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Bars and clubs were not too far away and it was very walkable.
- Spencer (2/5): - Great pool and near the beautiful romantic zone, however the pool bar staff (one individual in particular) is dishonest and scammed my group of friends as well as another group (we didn’t know) staying there. Really put a damper on our vacation.

- Qumber (8/5): - Check-in and Check-out was a breeze and they were very accommodating. The grocery service (although a tad pricy) was well worth it since we had an infant and a toddler with us. Having a stocked fridge with snacks, fruit, and milk for the baby made life so easy on travel days. The roof-top pool was amazing for the kids as well as us. The room had plenty of space for all 4 of us and the little outdoor space was great to hang out a bit and/or let the girls dry off post pool. The entire property was calm and clean. Major key was the hill tram that allowed for easy access down to the beach front/boardwalk area. We would stay here again in a jiffy!
- Debra (6/5): - I loved the pool, but the window to one bedroom had a thin shade that did not keep out the light from the courtyard - all night. Had to put towels over the window. Also was disapointed in the porch, it was not a balcony like I thought I was renting but an ugly porch that was too hot to even sit outside. Also, there was an outrageous charge for an extra bed that was squeezed in the dinning room, I wont stay here again. The location was awesome- walked to beach, just super overpriced. Also bartender was rude at the pool, and there wasnt anyone else there.
- Scott (10/5): - The roof top pool is great with beautiful views of the bay and the mountains. The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy. The only drawback are the staff in the office; they are pretentious, ignorant, unwelcoming, and otherwise difficult to work with.
- CHARLES (8/5): - That 2 bed loft style apartment was very nice. Spacious. They didnt have one with the ocean view. But it came equipped with everything like an airbnb. No guest after 11 to 7. Unless you add them to the room. No more than 4 people on a room total. For it to be so big you would think that wouldnt be an issue. It came fully furnished with washer dryer utensils stove grill on the patio. A full apartment. That can only have 4 people assigned to the room. The pool was beautiful. This is not a 21 and up place. That shrimp burrito was great! Thanks Alexis for the recommendation. It wasnt too far walking to the beach/ pier. It was over all a great place ro stay. Several restsraunts in walking distance. If you want outside breakfast.

According to Pinnacle this is a requirement for all guests. After talking to the manager they ended up accepting our passport cards combined with drivers license.

Wonderful job to all the staff we encountered from front desk to wait staff to security. You will not be disappointed! Location to beach and fun, safe nightlife as well. FIVE STARS!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Be aware of the townhouses! - The room we were given was atrocious and did not look like the photos on the site/app whatsoever. The descriptions did not represent the room in the slightest. We stayed in a townhouse on “loft level” and which after checking in proved to be below ground and had 100% view of a concrete wall. We had almost zero natural Light and had to have lights on at all times of the day. It was musty and depressing. Not at all how you want to feel in Mexico. After multiple calls and complaints with the front desk we were moved to a different unit days later but at a very hefty price that doubled the costs of the stay. The new unit was beautiful with a full ocean view but we paid an extremely high amount for it as we were desperate to have a nice stay. Overall for the price we paid in total for the stay it was not worth it at all. So over priced and the hotel made us feel guilty for wanting to change. Be very aware of the town houses!

We felt very comfortable and happy in this place. We would come back again; although I think it is a bit expensive; I would love it even more if it was a bit more affordable... I loved this Place!

- Alan (8/5): Overall, a nice place to stay in PV - Overall, a very nice day. Everything was very clean. The pool area was outstanding. Probably one of the best I’ve ever seen. I do wish they would provide some coffee and some bottled water for the room. Especially since you’re not supposed to drink the tapwater. It’s a little bit of a nuisance to have to trudge up the hill from the beach area or you can ride the funicular, which unfortunately broke down with us on it. That was not a very pleasant experience, and we wondered if we were gonna be spending the night on it since there’s no reasonable method of escape. I would definitely stay here again as the overall experience was positive.

- mark (4/5): - We took a penthouse for 17 days as we were there a year ago but first floor and poor view. This hotel is next to a highway making the veranda on half the building unusable with the noise. Further the air conditioning blows right on the bed and ended up. With a cold from this. Nice staff great location but not a luxury or upgraded stay. Will not return having spent $5000 on this noisy cold penthouse . Everyone was talking about the highway issue that starts at 6:00 am. Nice quality but sad circumstances. GREAT CREW
- LACY (10/5): Birthday Stay - Pinnacle Resort 220 was an enjoyable and relaxing experience. When we arrived Ramon assisted us into the correct lobby area to check in and was very helpful throughout our stay. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. I seen reviews complaining about the wrist bands but honestly it didn’t even bother us. Only thing I didn’t enjoy about wearing it was people knowing where we were staying. The rooftop pool area is beautiful and the bar staff were awesome. Loved the happy hour. Enjoyed waking up early watching the sunrise in the morning. The suite is clean and offers a lot of amenities during your stay and the washer and dryer with laundry detergent is a plus ! Wish that coffee would’ve been included, but no biggie going to the store which is right around the corner. Location is perfect and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Pinnacle Resorts for making my birthday experience special.

- Mark (6/5): Expectation; communication lacking - Fell for the bait and switch for a better room. The first room offered was on the 2nd floor had no “partial ocean view” as advertised. Could only get a better room by paying significantly more. Which we did because we were so disappointed with the first room. Also, ignore the Hotels.com noise around VIP properties and any status. You aren’t going to get any of those “perks” here. I’m surprised we got the bottle of wine. Which was not very good anyway. The upgrade they say you can get (IF AVAILABLE) is hooey. Didn’t I just pay for the upgrade that should have been free? The room that we paid extra for was on a higher floor and had very good views. The unit was quite nice. It was cleaned daily by very good and efficient staff The place itself is nice. The power only went out once and only for about an hour. The rooftop pool is terrific. We used to order drinks and food all day by the pool, but they have doubled the price for everything. I would be curious to know if that business move made them more money or not as it appeared we weren’t the only guests not ordering food and beverages as opposed to our last visit a couple years prior. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are the stars of the show despite management’s poor decision making. The location of the property is ideal and convenient to local restaurants and shopping. Will explore other properties in the future as there a lot of options.
- Pamela Kay (10/5): - My family really enjoyed our Christmas week stay. The living space was very roomy, and beautiful. Loved the washer and dryer! The roof top pool was very nice. The neighborhood was quiet, and the nearby funicular really helped with those up hill climbs. We also saw whales in Banderas Bay from our balcony. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested.

There's a grocery nearby, but not too many restaurants nearby to choose from, unless you walk down the stairs or use the vernacular (using the stairs is actually a good thing) to where all the shops and restaurants are. It was fun.

My family enjoyed our stay here but I am disappointed with the billing since I am charged $40 for a “missing” blow dryer which was not there in the first place. This is the first time that this has ever happened in all our years of international travel. I felt & still feel taken advantaged of. This incident accuses my family & I of stealing which is heartbreaking because we have never done that as the hotel personnel implied. I will not recommend this facility because of this experience alone.

- Mariaelena (6/5): - We have stayed here several times but since our last stay, 2 hotels were built right in front of our property blocking more than half our view. We paid premium dollar for OCEAN FRONT but this was more ocean edge or corner. The counter also had tiny ants that weren’t noticeable until you left something white on the dark brown counter, then you could see tons of them. Parking was an issue because someone was always in the spot that corresponds to our unit. When we parked in another vacant spot we were told we could not park there. I explained if you can’t provide me a specific spot I’m going to park wherever is convenient. The first day they came to clean the room. We said we were leaving and asked if they could come back in an hour. They never returned. The following day we left in the morning, and came back at midnight to find our room had not been cleaned that day either. We speak fluent Spanish, so there was no misunderstanding, but they said somehow they were under the impression we would call when we wanted our room clean. It was a VERY frustrating experience. We won’t stay here again.

- Orlando (2/5): - The trip turn out to be very disappointing. Not to put the total blame on Pinnacle, but using their VIP service it got intercepted by a time share scan artist. They need to protect their customers a little better at the airport. Also I order a few things for the room and no one responded to the request. The next responses was for the transfer and mini bar service. Needless to say when I check in they had both request, so I paid double. The mini bar and the original request. Mexico is just full of scam artist, be very cautious when visiting.

We’ve already booked next year.

- Anthony (10/5): Time Out in Puerto Vallarta - This may be my 5th time staying at this hotel property and definitely a super comfortable place with superb staff. The utmost courteous personnel all around and the room/apartment was terrific. Great location, nice infinity pool on the top floor with bar and beverage services. I’ve no doubt I’ll be back again!
- Rex (8/5): - I would recommend staying in a unit with an ocean view. I stayed on the side with the Mountain View. There is a very busy road on that side and it was very loud even four stories up.
- Robert (2/5): - The communication is terrible. I had a medical emergency and had to leave a day early and the hotel did absolutely nothing to accommodate my early departure. They didn’t offer any sort of credit for a future stay, or offer a refund. I asked the front desk to have a manager call me, they told me the manager started at 1 pm, and I never heard a word whatsoever. Beyond the credit, the hotel is outdated and has old interior motif, shower valve handle comes off when you move it and then you need to try and align it back up just so to reinsert the handle, moldy grout, and towels that smell like bleach, that are rough and worn. There are so many other, newer hotels nearby, and I will never stay at the Pinnacle again. Ultimately, they lost me as a customer because of their inability to communicate and their unwillingness to show empathy. Tisk Tisk!

- Olivia (6/5): - There is no VIP treatment for this property outside getting a $7 bottle of wine. The location can't be beaten but our room was filthy with copious amounts of dust. You are paying top dollar to stay in the Romantic Zone. The rooftop bar tends to be frequented by non-guests who are not there for the most appropriate reasons. Even my father-in-law who is 85 had this experience. The property needs to be maintained better for the prices. They are extremely strict about check-in and check-out. All in all, it's OK. It's not an amazing experience but it's located to great restaurants and shopping. By booking through my fav third party travel website, you are not given the best room or the room that you thought that you had booked. That happened previously. Now, I don't even book a room with a view. It minimizes any possibilities of conflicts with the front desk over the room that you thought that you were getting.

- Luis R (10/5): Great location, great service, very nice rooms - Pros: Great location, great service, very nice rooms. The rooftop pool views are breath taking. This hotel is located on the hill on zona romántica. A quick walk to everything. Cons: it’s expensive. As it is in the hill, there are steps everywhere but they have a funicular so you can avoid most of the steps to get to the town center and beach. Morning service on the roof garden is very slow to non existent. Out of the 2 elevators one is dedicated to the rooftop, thus you end up waiting a long time to get to the room floors.
