- Leah (10/5): Beach trip - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Robby, our host, was friendly, quickly responded to our texts regarding any questions, gave us recommendations of things to do in the area and generally very helpful. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Television had a Roku, which was very nice. We weren’t sure what to expect so we brought our own device, but we did not need to use it. The house is shared, but I felt very safe staying there. The property is beautiful. It was fun seeing the chickens. This was a beach trip with my 16-year-old daughter and my last summer with her as she will be joining the military. Our host made this occasion memorable for us. Definitely would stay again.

Close to Camp Lejeune, which made it perfect for us while visiting family. Would absolutely recommend to others, and will stay here again if we visit the area again.

- Jacob (10/5): - We live locally and leveraged the “bungalow” to accommodate an overflow of guests in our house during a summer family get together. This is a nicely equipped Winnebago trailer that is detached from the house, and has a great front porch and all needed amenities. We will be using The White House again for future guests as it’s close in proximity and very comfortable. The owner is extremely kind responsive and helpful! Would recommend 10/10!
- Tim (6/5): Nice Place - The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the door to the common room had blinds that let a lot of light in. The room was lit up at night making it difficult to sleep and the air conditioning unit had a rattle, but that’s not too uncommon for the type of AC.

- Matthew (10/5): - This property is a short jaunt to my family's place in Stella, town nearby. I pulled in a bit later than the typical check in time (driving Boston to North Carolina was a bit longer than expected) and was greeted by the barn cats. After walking the property for a few (and taking more than a few pictures) I called Robert, the property manager, and was lead through the ins and outs of the property. I had been upgraded to the "Zen Suite" and it was very cozy, lots of activities and things to do. I exceptionally enjoyed the shower, which features a rainfall style water head and great water pressure. The bed was comfortable, plenty of extra pillows available if needed (I didn't, but when with my wife it's a common need) The location is just a short drive to Swansboro, plenty of shopping and food options, not more than a mile away. This is a great property, and the ownership is fantastic and can't wait to return this summer if it's in the cards

- Yumiko (10/5): Amazing place - It was such an amazing experience staying there. Chickens and birds are delightful sight and pick yourself fruit and veggies were special additions. I stayed there alone but I was not scared or felt lonely at all even there was no other guests in the house. The owners were so nice people and I loved how they kept the rooms cozy and clean. I enjoyed cooking from the morning eggs and loved the coziness there.

- Stephanie (10/5): Home Away From Home - My husband and I were used to the typical cubicle hotel room, which was always the same and not interesting. When we arrived we were a little leery because it looked unconventional, but that ended up being the beauty of it. The virtual check in with Robbie was great and very informative. We were able to text him at any time with questions. We had a front porch with rocking chairs and being from the country, this was important to us. We rented the Zen Suite, which was awesome with a bedroom/bathroom, small dining room/living room with access to a great kitchen with an island, granite counter tops and three ovens. We were in the are for my a 93rd birthday party and I was able to cook cobbler for my mother-in-law. We had all of the comforts of home and really felt like we were staying in the home of family. The first morning we were greeted by a brood of chickens, who were very interested in us. The entire property was booked but we did not ever know anyone else was staying in the same place as us. We will definitely return to The White House on Freedom Way. They were great to work with and are definitely "our kind of people." Thanks Robbie, Rick and Mark, great job for providing a unique and enjoyable home away from home.

- Shelia (10/5): Stunning B&B you’ll love the stay - First B&B I have ever stayed at. It was marvelous! Everything from the airport pick up to airport drop off! Warm inviting atmosphere, beautiful home and grounds. Host were very professional, laid back atmosphere such a relaxing place for recharging. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about our say there. If you ever need anything your host is just a phone call away. Your well being is their number one concern, and it’s such a heart warming feeling. We are already trying to decide when we’ll go back because we definitely will.

- Monica (10/5): Highly recommended... - A cozy home in an amazingly beautiful location managed by one of the most hospital persons you’ll ever meet. We have access to a common kitchen, coffee, hot chocolate and oatmeal available for breakfast. We were able to make home cooked meals everyday and even bake. Walmart is around 3 miles away. Huge space for parking. Wifi access in room and common area. Laundry room on-site. Nice balcony. This place feels like home.
- James (8/5): Nice, but no breakfast - I liked my room and the owner. The room was very nicely furnished and clean, the bed was comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. That said, the listing information is wrong - there is no free continental breakfast. You do have access to a common kitchen where you can make your own coffee. There are also some instant oatmeal packets you are welcome to prepare and eat if you so desire. This is located on a busy highway about 3 miles out of town, there is nothing around it. I would stay again, but be aware what you are getting.

Easy to everywhere and the proprietor knows no limits regarding your comfort and customer service. 10 stars.This is not a hotel, its a guest house which becomes your house when you are there. Be sure to call ahead the first day you arrive as a courtesy to the owners, as they do not live on site.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Unhappy - We weren't expecting a ranch house where the bedrooms were rented out per night. It was a 3 bedroom ranch where you could be staying with two other strangers using the kitchen living room and dining room. The pictures in the sight showed beautiful flowered grounds. We didn't see that. We saw several dwellings and an RV on the property. We were told we could use the kitchen as long as we cleaned up after ourselves. We would have had to go grocery shopping if we decided to eat there. We paid $400.00 for two nights. I question all the positive reviews that were written about this property and would not stay there again.
- Michael (10/5): A Hidden Gem - The White House is a lovely little property right off of Freedom Acres. My wife and I had a great weekend in their Annex house. It was a comfortable location, with more than enough comfort for the regular vacationing homebody. Even the property of the White House is filled with gorgeous floral bushes that fill your eyes with beauty, whenever you come or go. Our host was great, he was available 24/7, and was excessively gracious whenever we spoke. His knowledge of the Hubert/Swansboro/Emerald Isle area was invaluable and lead to us having a fantastic time. Only 10 minutes away are several beaches, restaurants, and parks all that will make your time at the White House a great stay.
- Mark (10/5): Wonderful - This was a wonderful stay. If you do not need/want an inhouse owner, this is the place. He is always available by phone and was always available when i called him. The room itself is small, but nice and clean. It had a sliding glass door that led to a huge beautiful yard that you could sit and enjoy. If you smoke, just walk out the door. I forget his name, but he did come by and i had a great conversation with him. Very very nice person. Probably the best stay i have ever had, and for quite little money. Loved it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable Accommodation with Friendly Host - We received a very friendly welcome from the owner who was very accommodating with our check-in and check-out time. There were full kitchen amenities at the B&B and the house was very clean and comfortable. Close proximity to Swansboro for sight-seeing and neighboring beaches. We plan on a return stay at the White House.
- Richard (10/5): Quiet/Private - Had a pleasant, and comfortable, weekend with all of the necessities that we have come to expect. The owner's communication skills are the best ever, before, and after our stay. Hope to return next year.

- Randy (10/5): Great quiet location with easy access to the area. - Great quiet location with access to fishing, beaches, Hammocks Beach State Park and Camp Lejume. The Inn was quiet and relaxing. The Inn Mgr. was helpful and informative about good locally owned places to eat and visit.
- Bettina (10/5): The PERFECT Getaway!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3 - What a fantastic weekend it was! I truly can't say enough. Let me put it this way, we did not want to leave. Everything, and I mean truly everything was out of this world fabulous. I had a very rough week at work, and we decided last minute, we wanted to get away for the weekend. Initially we were attracted by the "Veteran owned and operated" statement. Upon our arrival we were immediately upgraded to a suite, and truly thank Robbie from the bottom of my heart for that. He will never know what a service he provided for me by doing that. Everything was sooooo clean and immaculate. I felt so welcome. Robbie truly bends over backwards for his guests. There was absolutely nothing he wouldn't do to assure his guests are comfortable and happy. Everything is very spacious, clean and so inviting. Even though there is no front desk per se, Robbie makes himself available to his guests 24/7 to assure every question is answered and every need is met. Besides the fact that the furnishings are beautiful, they are also very comfortable. All the appliances in the kitchen and rooms are top notch and Robbie even offers full access to a laundry facility. We will be back soon.
- Carol (8/5): Close to everything. - Very pleasant stay. All suites are private. Host is very accommodating and reachable by text. Doesn't live onsite but responsive. Breakfast not included (a plus for us) but access to entire fully, stocked kitchen and host even supplies moderate amount of breakfast food which was very nice. Small refrigerator in our room allowed us to make lunches and eat our usual breakfast fare daily. Rates are reasonable. Innkeeper upgraded us to a lovely, large suite without charge! Innkeeper available for questions and directions by text or phone. Again, he was VERY responsive and available even though he doesn't live onsite. Inn is on a main highway but owners have buffered the house with pretty landscaping from the road and our stay was peaceful. Definitely recommend this gem!
- Steve (10/5): Nice alternative to hotel - Super clean, owner was very nice and personable. Its like staying in a guest suite at a relatives house. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Not too far from Emerald Isle (20 mins).
- Donald (10/5): - We were not able to take many pictures of this because we had a lot of rain and fog. The hotel itself, was very comfortable, close to food, very romantic for my wife and I. Close to beaches, aquarium, shopping, etc. I would and will stay here in the future.
