Guest Reviews
- Anthony (10/5): - Check in was super fast and easy. Parking lot is kind of small but still doable, overall very good.
- Mercy (10/5): - Clean room and shops are nearby.
A small microwave in the room would be nice .
- Arielle (8/5): - The staff were helpful and friendly! Getting there from the Burbank airport by car was easy. From the inn, I was able to easily walk to where I wanted to go around Glendale. This is certainly a no-frills establishment and I could hear something like a laundry machine running all night, but it’s a decent place to spend the night with solid service.
- TERRI A (8/5): - Older property that could use some updates. Plumbing not the best and AC quit on us for awhile the first night, but then was fine the remain 2 nights. I would stay here again, especially for the current price.
- Manuel Mario (10/5): - Loved the staff and location
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly place to stay. - Your staff is always so friendly and accommodating when we stay with you.
- James (10/5): - "no fuss" is an apt descriptor. In the best possible way, of course. Very spacious room for the price. Clean, charming and very convenient location. Very friendly staff. Lots of dining and shopping literally next door and right across the street. 100% recommend!
- Kenneth (4/5): - Frint desk staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the room was another matter. The room is very dated. On top of that, the room had dust on surfaces, patched up cracks on walls, and the bed sheets had stains. Not in one spot, but in multiple and i did not sleep comfortably due to the fact they looked and just felt dirty. Room had everything you could need, fridge, hair dryer, and shampoo/conditioner. Just overall cleanliness was certainly questioned.
- Tom (8/5): - Close to our business here.
Staff friendly, courteous and efficient.
Room was extremely satisfactory.
- Veronica (8/5): - For a short visit it was good.
- Andrew (10/5): - Good customer service, fast checkin, and great location.
- Jimmie (8/5): - Good
- Samantha (8/5): - Our stay was great, the room was clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. Great location. Will definitely stay again.
- Travis (6/5): - Thought it was over-priced until I compared the market - aesthetically it could use a refresh. The water was hot, the bed clean (hear that M6) and comfortable and good fridge.
Having said that. The real value of this property is the people and the service. Very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help…
- john (10/5): - The staff was very professional and courteous!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good budget place, great location - Chose hotel based on its location. It was very convenient for my needs. The room was very clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Somewhat noisy but it is in the middle of town and noise wasn't too bad. AC/heater quite noisy when running. Fortunately weather was such that it wasn't needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - You get what you pay for, stayed one night was great. Not as clean but great location. Overall probably will stay again.
- Mary (4/5): - Bathroom is dirty and outdated. Quiet but small room
- Lilian (10/5): - Nice location, great hotel.
- FREDRIC (8/5): - Great location.
Older property that could use some upgrades.
- Tyler (10/5): - Nice stay at a good price. Lots of walkable options for shopping and food. Would definitely stay again!
- Emily (8/5): - Being close to the mall and other food outlets was great. Free parking a bonus.
- Mihran (10/5): Great place to stay in Glendale. - Very clean and convenient location!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Even though it appears to be an older facility it is clean, quiet and convenient. And the staff is always friendly and helpful especially Rita. I wish there was more of a Continental Breakfast, but I do like your coffee.
- J (10/5): - Small parking lot but they were able to compensate for that.
- Teresa (10/5): - Staff are very pleasant to speak with.
- David (10/5): It's Not Luxury But Very Serviceable - Somewhat dated but well managed hotel. Great lkocation, great value.
- MA ROWENA (10/5): - great staff
- RG-HONEST (4/5): Smokey The Bear, would not sleep here. - I talked with the woman at the front desk on the phone before booking here and she was very friendly.
The same woman assisted me at check in the following day, she was friendly, cheerful and handed me a complementary bottle of water.
Unfortunately, that was the highlight of my experience here.
The room I was placed in smelled like cigarette smoke, it gave me a headache and hurt my chest the two nights I stayed here. I rank it as one of the top ten worst smelling rooms I have stayed in from any hotel or motel chains within the past nine months across America.
However I have to accept the blame, because after returning to the Choice App and reviewing the amnesties and policies at this location there in no mention of the rooms being non-smoking or smoking.
There is also no where in the room that states non-smoking.
I now understand why this motel is almost always booked up. It’s relatively cheap and it’s the only Smoker’s motel I have seen before. I just assumed that it would be non-smoking.
Thankfully, I only booked two nights here, and I carry an air purifier with me (It made it more tolerable, but when I left, everything including myself smelled like smoke”.
The WiFi was fast enough, but the first night kept failing about every fifteen minutes.
The photos of the rooms in the app and website physically match the room, other than size. The room looks fifty percent bigger on the app. In reality, this is one of the smallest room I’ve stayed in Across America.
The toilet was very low to the floor and small like a children’s toilet. There are no luggage carts, no elevator, no laundry facilities on the premises except those used by their cleaning people.
It had a fairly large mini-fridge with a separated freezer section, but since there is no microwave, the freezer section might only be good for ice-cream.
There is a surprising large pool on the north side of the building. A soda machine with very fair pricing, and an ice machine at the bottom of the stairs by the pool. There is also a small outdoor eating area with umbrellas.
The parking lot has some relatively large spaces that can accommodate van, pickups and large SUV.
The furnishings are nice, lots of lamps, though the room is still on the darker side for some reason.
The queen bed is a basic spring bed on the firmer side. Not especially comfortable.
There were three normal pillows on the bed, the cheap kind my parents used to buy, the kind that go flat eventually. These pillows are the flattest pillows of any motel or hotel I have stayed in across America. They’re as flat as pillows someone has been using for ten years.
I could easily hear people talking in the rooms while walking past door and I could hear considerable traffic noise despite having an air purifier next to my head and the heater/ac on near the entrance.
The room had a work table with a single solid and padded wheel-less chair. A table with two chairs that would be perfect for a game of chess.
I would never book a room here again.
At check out a man was working. He asked me how I enjoyed my stay, I told him, “not that much, I didn’t know this was a smoking motel”, he told me, “We’re a non-smoking motel”. I asked him why the app or website, doesn’t mention, “Non-Smoking”, and why no where around or in the building does it mention, “Non-smoking”. He just replied, “All of our rooms are non-smoking”.
- Marco (10/5): - Good place
- David (10/5): Great Location At A Very Reasonable Cost - Rodeway Inn is a somewhat dated but perfectly serviceable motel in a fantastic location. We would and already have scheduled a return stay on our way back from central California.
- Joel (10/5): - Great location
- Allan (10/5): - Nice and convenient
- Scott (4/5): - Run down and beat up
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Stayed here a few times now and will return. Clean and comfortable, easy parking. Near shopping and restaurants.
- Glenda (10/5): - Always stay here when visiting our son; always clean nice friendly
- Gabriela (10/5): - That it was close to the mall and it was safety
- Thomas (10/5): Nice and affordable - Very clean, friendly service, and very nice neighborhood. Across the street from a beautiful mall and lots of places to eat.
- Atul (6/5): Okay one night stay - Great location but very basic and dated room. Shower was great. Carpet could use more cleaning. Only coffee available in the morning. This was okay for one night stay for the price we paid.
- DEYSI MISHELL (10/5): - Friendly at the reception
- Robert (8/5): - Good for a short stay-will use again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable, good property - Amazing location and the rooms are well kept and comfortable. Plenty of parking. No complaints- really solid place to stay for any duration.
- Michael (6/5): - Room reeked of cigarettes. Otherwise, it was ok.
- Katherine (10/5): - Located directly behind a mall with a bunch of eateries and shopping within 5 min or less walking distance. Smooth check in and check out process. Beds were comfy and had no issues with anything. Definitely a good stay with a good price.
- Bhsach (10/5): Acceptable room, clean property - This was an acceptable property for our needs. The room was clean. It is an older property, so don’t expect top of the line accommodations. The pillows could use replacing, as could the mattress. The water was hot, but the faucet really didn’t work very well when trying to get a shower and getting the water to come out the shower head. The pool was locked up, so I’m guessing it’s not open at this time of year, even though it was very hot and would have been okay to swim in. There is only coffee in the AM, not other type of breakfast fare, but you get 10% off the restaurant next door by showing your room key. Would stay again if in the area.
- Jonathan (8/5): - I have been staying at this hotel several times and what I like is that the place is across the Glendale Galleria and so many shopping places the front desk is very friendly. I didn’t have a chance to talk to any of the housekeepers. what I don’t like and I think I told them the other day is the water pressure on the shower head . It is very slow and you have to spend more time there in order to get the soap or the shampoo out of your body because the water pressure is so low. also on our unit the water pressure on the faucet was very low and it make a strange noise when you open the faucet. also the tub, when you were taking a shower , it makes a strange noise when you step into the shower tub other than the room was clean and since we didn’t spend too much time there, I don’t have any more comments about the room. I definitely will come back again, but please fix the pressure of the water on the shower.
- Tammy (10/5): - Great staff
- Tomas (8/5): - Good place.
- GEORGE (4/5): - The place is kind of old and beat up on the grungy side. I picked it because of the location and the price. The staff were cool and friendly.
- Teresa (8/5): - The staff was amazing!! It was a pretty good place to stay and affordable it had a pool, ice machine and vending machine the only downside was dirty towels but other than that it was good!
- Jorge (10/5): - Perfect location
- carlos (4/5): - They write down your credit card info in a piece of paper, otherwise they won’t let you stay. They should have another system if they are going to need your credit card.
- Anastassia (10/5): - Very convenient location
- Margaret (8/5): Ok but could be much better - Very minimal amenities. No coffee or microwave in the room. Blankets were thin and mattress was old and not comfortable
- Raul (8/5): Not the best, but would recommend. - My son and I recently stayed here for a trip I gifted him for his 18th birthday. The location is great, price is probably a little more than what I would want to pay for given the condition of the property and room, but overall the beds were super comfortable, pillows kinda flat but those are my favorite and very little noise other than nearby traffic.
The water pressure is not the best, sometimes the water would get either super hot or super cold, carpet could definitely be replaced and towels could be bigger. Oh, and there is no parking if you return to your room in the evening.
Overall, I will rate this property an 8/10. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was quiet but outdated. It smelled strongly like cigarettes and we where in a non smoking room.
- Carlos (8/5): - Close to shopping and universal studios.
- Vicente (10/5): - Easy access to other areas such as shopping and food and other things. Front desk staff was very cordial. Ensured cleanliness of the room.
- Nora (10/5): Solo trip to Glendale Ca. - The hotel is nice and quiet. Right next to a Hampton Inn. Right across the street from the outdoor malls in Glendale. I felt safe. The bed was comfortable and it had a great bathtub. The ac was run on a remote and kept me cool. It has a micro fridge but no microwave. I definitely would stay there again. For only $90 it was well worth it
- Marla (10/5): - The staff is very helpful and responsive to requests.
- Mauricio (10/5): - Todo muy exelente
- Jim (10/5): 5 stars out of 5. ***** - When I booked the room, I was looking for an inexpensive room, not caring if it was not a palace. Well I was pleasantly surprised. The room was fantastic, not huge but very nice. It was very clean, good parking, very nice pool. And an added bonus was the restaurant exactly next door, (Foxy’s). Overall I couldn’t have done any better.
- Arlen (8/5): - Good place for a short stay. Right across the street from the Glendale Galleria. Super nice staff! Room was comfortable. Refrigerator but no microwave (not needed). Carpet could be replaced but overall the room was clean.
- Ranjit (4/5): - Stayed for one night. The room in the property was not that great . Many charging points were not working and the lights too were not working. But i had only one night stay , i managed.
- Zareh (4/5): - Highly recommend this hotel just because of the area, very close to literally everything by walk. The rooms were not as clean as we expected it to be.Carpets were old, stinky and horribly smelly. Food is not served, staff would most of the time be absent for necessary cleaning.
- David (10/5): - It was across the street from Glendale Galleria. And close to my niece's house.
- Jose (8/5): - I like the easy axes to the place.
- Fernando (10/5): Awesome service - Front desk lady was friendly and helpful
- Solomon (6/5): - Excellent location and good value
- Thomas (6/5): Should be priced at 75 bucks a night - Older motel in semi-sketchy area. This is a place to sleep albeit on a hard mattress with thin pillows and random yelling in the parking lot at 3 am. Oh nice stains on the 1970 carpet too.
- Michael (10/5): - across the shopping center
- Karina (8/5): - This is a motel, expect a motel experience hahahah. The property is in prime location! This is what sells this place. There were inconspicuous curly hairs in the bathtub, a used hand cloth but honestly, it wasn’t terrible, just a bit text book “motel”, we got what we paid for. The location was pretty damn good and for a decent night’s sleep and free parking, I would stay here again. Walls are thin but with earplugs and a sleep mask, expect a camping type of slumber.
- Marla (10/5): - Courteous and helpful front desk staff.
- Teresa (6/5): - The room itself was fine - old but clean and tidy and adequate to the purpose of just needing a place to sleep. I wish they didn't use fragranced cleaning products, that was the only complaint. What I did like was the front desk guy was very efficient and friendly and gave good tips about the shopping and eating nearby. I liked it being across the street from an outdoor snazzy mall that was open late and beautiful fountain... a good place for an unwinding walk before bed and an early morning coffee. And having the mall across the way the whole area was cleaner and safer. Easy access from freeway and parking a snap. So, nothing fancy, but definitely decent.
- Marsha (8/5): - Right across the street from a beautiful mall and restaurants. Helpful front desk, but, it is an older hotel
- Thao Ker (10/5): - Stay here a couples time before and it’s always a nice and quiet time to rest. Front desk was always helpful and shopping plaza is near by with great food and options for families. Everytime we come to LA this is the place to stay
- Yessica (10/5): - Very good everything is around it
- Samuel (10/5): - I like the stay here at Rodeway Inn very nice room. Comfortable stay here with my girlfriend. Many spots to eat in walking distance. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. I would definitely be coming back for a weekend getaway. Be sure and book early the rooms are hard to get on weekends. Thank you Rodeway Inn 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- David (10/5): - Fair deal, friendly and accomodating staff, comfortable!
- Sully (10/5): - This home is like home, I have stayed here in the past. This is my first go to anytime . Everyone at front desk are so kind and nice and helpful. Great people and great hotel.
- Dean (8/5): - Stay here when I am in Glendale several times per year.
- juan (10/5): - Close to the city and other places.
- Maribel (10/5): - Friendly staff.
A couple things needed repair in the room, but they were functional.
Basic room, easy in and out and walkable area with lots of shopping and restaurants. Exactly what i was looking for.
- Amanda (10/5): - This place is perfect for a quick and easy stay. Super clean and quiet. Literally 30 second walking distance from mall. Just have to cross the crosswalk. Amazing experience. Friendly staff
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Great stay, would book again
- Thomas (8/5): - Location was great
- Mel (10/5): - Great location!!!!
- Gabino (10/5): - it was good for the price
- hksearch1 (2/5): Go somewhere else - It was the most horrible Inn we ever stayed at. Had a 3 double bed room that was next to the laundry room which was making a lot of noise when we checked in at 9pm. It was noisy all night - sounded like a generator. The heater in the room also made a high pitch noise. In the end we were not able to use the heater due the noise and it was winter! We were unable to ring the office as the room phone doesn’t work. Had to physically go down to complain which was pointless as they were not able to fix the heater ( public holiday long weekend - no handyman or service repair) and to add to the insult, I was told it's the first time there is a complaint about the 'generator' noise. Not once did they apologise for the state of the room or investigate the noise. The room was very old and dated. The bathroom was in a terrible state and needs a total revamp. The walls were literally wet after a shower as the condensation cannot be removed by the non functioning fan. We would have changed hotel but as it was holiday season and everything was booked out or not have the bed configuration we wanted we had no choice. I did not sleep well for 3 nights. Because of the location of the room, wifi was non-existent. The only thing positive is that it is located opposite the mall.
- martha (10/5): - I liked it.
- Margurite (6/5): - The room was ok. Beds were neat. My son liked his mattress but I didn't like mine. The pillows were flat.
The bathtub was stained.
Another guest was spray painting his van in the parking lot, which was really weird.
Location was good. Short walk to many shops and restaurants.
- Elisabeth (10/5): - very comfortable beds, great shopping, easy parking
- Jonathan (10/5): - Been staying here 4 times and I love it. Property is good. The area is good the room is good. Definitely will stay here in the coming months
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great for a weekend! - Clean and comfortable with parking and friendly staff. Close to shopping, restaurants, LA zoo and freeways.
- Jureepron (8/5): - Easy Parking and safe
- Jose (10/5): - Good place to stay
- Marc (10/5): - great stay I got for what I pay for. No problems at all.
- Lori (6/5): - Location is excellent and room was clean.
- DENNIS (8/5): - Cons:
The bed was too hard for a side-sleeper. The towel rack in the bathroom was clinging to the wall by the skin of its teeth.
Sirens every night.
Pros:
Kind, friendly staff.
- Kem (4/5): - Averages except complained about faucet dripping in tub and phantom flushing in toilet- no work done to fix the problem despite complaints
