• DayTrip16955873390 (2/5): Horribleeeee Hotel needs to be shut down I will be contacting BBC - The pillows were filthy on top of me reserving a king suite I was put in a king queen and told that I couldn’t have the king suite bc I paid with my points instead of cash or credit card the service is horrible I told I had to pay a one hundred dollar deposit as well this room is beyond trash it’s unacceptable
• Climber28194221616 (2/5): REMOVE THIS PROPERTY FROM THE CHOICE HOTELS BRAND AND OPTIONS, AND DEMAND THAT THEY CHANGE IT’S NAME. - The 1st thing I would like to say is that this property does not do the photos online any justice at all and that is the also the 1st thing that I mentioned to the front desk attendant. The outside looks like a salvage yard with all of the empty plastic planters, trash on the ground, old peeling paint and a dirty, beat up ice machine. The drink machine beside it looks just as bad, especially with the old faded out display cans. There’s a table in the lobby that is full of old cordless phones. I don’t know what the heck that was about. The African American gentleman at the front desk was very polite, and he noticed the concern on my face. I told him that I wasn’t sure at all about this place and he asked why and I stated that this is NOT what I saw online. It was too late to cancel according to the stipulations of my reservation. I would’ve had to cancel by the day before and before 4 PM. I didn’t have the energy to be on the phone with CHOICE HOTELS to try to get it changed so I just asked the gentleman to show me the room. He took me to room 124 on the backside of the hotel. Immediately when we turned the corner, I look to the left and see a ridiculous looking shed or some type of carport thing that has been put up to park someone’s personal car underneath it and that’s when I also saw all of the empty plastic planters all around. The front desk attendant open the room and it looked somewhat decent. The best thing about it was the bathroom. It looks as though it had recent upgrades and that was a plus. I did, however book a two room suite, which was to include a living area with a television and a sofa with a pull out bed, a bedroom area with a king bed, a television , microwave, and mini fridge. This room was a King accessible. I was tired, and had already driven there from Savannah Georgia and I didn’t feel like the aggravation of trying to get another hotel especially since I was only staying one night. I was pressed for time and needed to go meet my potential new business associate, so I agree to the room. After coming back from meeting with my now new business associate, I took some towels for the bathroom and laid them on top of the bed and I laid on top of them and eventually fell off to sleep. The next morning I got up to prepare myself to leave and I needed a razor so I picked up the phone to call the front desk to ask is I could come to get one and of course the phone does not work. I go to the door and I notice an employee who is apparently getting ready to clean rooms and I asked him if they had razors. He didn’t speak any English so I said never mind and I went to the front desk, but before leaving, I turn on the water in the shower so that it can be hot. By the time I came back. The person up there said that they don’t have razors. Disappointed yet again, I return to my room and start preparing to shower. I brushed my teeth first, and did my facial cleansing. The water at the sink was not getting hot so because of that I stepped over to the shower to check that water. It had been at least 15 minutes and the water was not hot. I continue to wait and checked it over and over again the water still wasn’t getting hot. I had to hurry and get on the road, so I went ahead and stepped in to take a shower as quickly as I could because the water was not hot. Toward the end of my shower, the water began to warm up a little, but I was already done. After packing my things and getting dressed, I told her the guy who had been at the front desk when I went to ask for the razor that the water doesn’t get hot in that room and he said that it does let me show you and I said I wasn’t going back into that room, especially with him being a Man, I proceeded to go get checked out and had him his key to the room and waited for a receipt. He said that I could not get a receipt because I had a free nice day so the balance was zero. I told him that that was not true. I have stayed at CHOICE HOTELS since 2018 and I have never left without a receipt even when I’ve paid with points. He argued with me that I was wrong and finally say that I can email you a receipt I said that’s fine and I said the email address should be on file. Then he said he needed my ID and I said my wallet is in the car and this is way too ridiculous and I ask him for his card. His name is KM Patel and the card lists him as the general manager. Out of all of the years that I’ve been staying in hotels, this has been my absolute worst experience, and I’m not exaggerating. With the exception of the first gentleman I dealt with, the staff was terrible I hate to include, the older man who was cleaning the rooms, but if you can’t communicate with me because you can’t understand my language, then that’s a problem. What if I had an emergency I needed him to help me? He wouldn’t know what’s going on. This hotel is a disgrace to the CHOICE HOTELS brand and someone needs to come to inspect it, fail them, and remove it from CHOICE HOTELS options.
• PTL2007 (6/5): Economy Albany - Looking for a reasonably priced motel saving me from hallways, lobbies and elevators I found this property fit the bill. The staff is personable and responsive. My room was well appointed clean and comfortable. My 6 night stay was quiet and uneventful. Not perfect but perfectly acceptable for the price. I would stay here again if the need presented itself.
• jeng225 (10/5): Very nice place - This is my third time staying at this hotel in 3 weeks. The rooms are a nice size and clean. The beds are comfortable. Ceiling fan above the bed. I especially like the showers, the water is hot and the pressure is good. The towels and wash cloths are decent, I usually bring my own but after the first time and didn’t worry about it anymore. I can back my truck up to the door and unload. The staff is always pleasant. The location is good right between Dairy Queen and Captain D’s, and across the street from KFC, with Wendy’s right down the street and 10 minutes from nice restaurants. I will be staying here again.
• 251timothyk (2/5): Worse stay in my 33 plus years of coming to Albany, GA for High School state Track Meets - Please remove this place form this list. This place is absolutely awful. Rooms are not clean particularly in this Covid environment in which we are living. Not enough towels, showers are dirty, linen very old. Furniture not only outdated but falling apart. TV Remote would not change the channels. Place listed as a smoke free environment or available however the smell of smoke the entire stay and really marijuana or illegal smoke. Toilet in my room was like sitting on a rocking chair. I am complaining because there was not other place to stay as all lodging in teh area was booked to capacity.
• michellebN8805XI (2/5): Horrible - I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. The bathroom was DIRTY. There were cigarette burns all through the sheets and it smelled like wet dogs and cigarettes. It was so bad we got a refund and left. I was so disappointed because the picture is NOT what you see in the actual hotel. Even the checking in part was dirty. I was so disgusted. I was so scared to touch anything. Worst hotel ever. Just thinking about it now makes me feel as though I should go shower.
• Mikemez1962 (8/5): Truck driver - Not the fanciest place I’ve stayed, but it was well worth the cost. The gentleman at check in was Billy. And I have to say, he was awesome. One of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. He was probably the best representative for a motel I’ve ever met. Greeted me with a huge smile, and a handshake. Something you don’t get normally at a motel. The room was clean. And comfortable. No complaints on my stay. I will be back!!
• garyX_11 (8/5): Good value, friendly staff - I was welcomed at this hotel late at night by a friendly, courteous staff member named Billy. He was excellent! Three days later, I was checked out by Billy, who, by the way, remembered my name though I'd seen him only once before. The hotel room was clean, well-furnished, and everything worked. I can't ask for more. I've already made another reservation here for my next trip to Albany.
• 594jamib (4/5): Not great... - My husband and I stayed here while passing through on our way to Savannah. The man at the front desk was very friendly, but the desk was a mess. The room was clean enough, but the sheets were stained and there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of our bathroom door when we got there. My husband wouldn't even let me go to the car by myself because of the neighborhood and random people hanging out in the parking lot. The breakfast was a joke. There was a choice of 2 different cereals and a loaf of bread. I would not stay here again.
• InsuranceGuy (8/5): Clean place to stop. - Nice place, clean rooms. Many restaurants within walking distance. We chose pizza across the street. The breakfast was limited. Great stop for a family road trip. It was close to the highway. We took two rooms for the 5 of us.
• JenineM_12 (8/5): Stay on the 2nd floor - While the accommodations were fine for the price. I would suggest staying on the 2nd floor. We stayed on a Friday night and there was a lot of activity in the parking lot at least until 3am. Being on the 2nd floor may help next time. The hotel manager was very pleasant.
• diondrab (10/5): Quiet stay at the Econo - I travel around the world in search of positivity.....so there is no surprise for me to say I found it here. The front desk personel greeted us with the warmest smile. We were tired and hungry and just wanted a clean quiet room.....we got so much more. We were given a huge king room for a little over the base starting price and the room matched with the price. There are numerous of eating restaurants only minutes away and there is a Grill and Chill right across the street. This hotel does get busy but the manager makes sure that the parking lot stays clean and safe. Get ready for a quiet and comfortable stay.
• Melissa (2/5): THIS PLACE IS AWFULL!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! BEWARE - THIS PLACE IS AWFULL!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! There was bed bug which I didn't realize until I was eaten up with them. I requested a NON smoking room and all they would give me was SMOKING. I went to make coffee in my room and the coffee pot had an old filter full of MOLD. I have the pictures to prove this. I told the front office clerk and all he said was "Sorry about that" Are you Kidding??? The Health Dept needs to inspect that location and I will definitely keep on this.

• 798paulah (6/5): Average at Best - This property is in need of updating. The beds are uncomfortable. We stayed at this location because due to a race and local football game we had trouble locating an open room. I would not really recommend this hotel. If you just need a place to sleep then this will do but for the price I would look elsewhere.

The lobby was lackluster amenities were below average. Room was clean but that's to be expected. The king bed was comfortable but my room had no iron or blow dryer and the bathroom was very small
• 622pamalap (8/5): My review!!! - This hotel should have been put in a better area but I have to say that it is clean. The people are nice and the housekeeping really does a good job. The rooms are very big the price is good. The beds are comfortable made of foam and the plus was the zipped mattress cover. The bathroom is really small.
• Mona (4/5): Roaches In Room - My family and I were there for my brother's funeral. Some of the rooms had roaches. I am not pleased nor happy with my stay there.
• Tony (4/5): Roach Infested Rooms - We were in town for my brother and laws funeral and wanted to stay somewhere closer to his home. It was bad enough traveling long distance while grieving, but having roaches crawling was not what we paid for. Some of my other family had roaches in their rooms as well. I will definitely not use this place again.

We requested two bottom floor rooms months ago, due to mom and aunt not being able to climb stairs. Well when got got their, we had one room upstairs, mom can barely walk around using a cane let alone climb stairs. But the night manager carried our bags us so I could make sure my mom didn't loose her balance. The room itself wasn't too bad, it was clean..until we seen a roach crawling from behind the dresser. I just feel like so.e company should stay away until visitors leave!

The rooms are very The beds are comfortable and the shower, although a tad short in height, had really good water pressure. This is our new place to stay when we go to Albany.

Just thinking about it gives me the creeps. Then the guy a t the desk smelled like the sewer. And had the office as soo too..... could someone please show him the wsy to the shower.
• GinaJackson527 (2/5): Bed Bugs!!! Fleas!!! A Total Disaster - Stayed at the EconoLodge in July, 2012 for two days with my mother. The first day was okay, but the second day while sleeping I found a bug crawling on the side of my face. I called myself checking the mattress but I did not see anything. I was able to catch it and gave it to my mother. She placed it in a tissue to show to the manager. We gave it to him and the housekeeper said that it was a bed bug. He went to check the room without looking at it and returned saying that it was fleas. They said that they had already removed everything from their rooms that year due to bed bugs. He believed someone brought a pet in without permission. He credited my card for one day and offered another room but I couldn't stay there. It didn't matter because when I went to the next hotel apparently a bug was still on me because it bit me on my shoulder area. I had to wash out my hair and that is when I discovered the other bother. I had bite marks on my arm, side of my face and hands. I am so disgusted and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a disaster and you will regret the stay!!!!!

At this point our kids have been riding in a car for 2 days straight- they were really looking forward to the pool. The pool has no water- really disappointed. The guy at the desk does not understand pre-paid and tried to run our credit card again. Not the greatest place.

• Anonymous (6/5): On the way to the beach - The night manager was very friendly. We didn't arrive until about midnight. The hotel was older and you had to walk on the outside to get to your room which always feels a little unsafe. It was a good enough place to stop on the way to Destin.
