Guest Reviews
- loucK9963IG (2/5): Dismal - This place should be retired, perhaps it already is and squatters are renting out rooms. The water in the sink and toilet is brown. Many of the outlets have no covers. The smoke detector is lying on a shelf with no battery. A full length mirror is propped against a wall. The bed was made haphazardly with the bottom sheet hardly tucked in. Do yourself a favor and pass this one by.
- James (8/5): - The property was safe and secure. Check out wasn't until 11 but breakfast was only 5 to 8am. Ended way too early.
- Angela (8/5): - It was safe. Econo lodge can use bigger pillows.
- Sheila (2/5): - Ok
- La Tunya (2/5): - No comment
- Rose (6/5): - The room was fairly clean. But it had roaches. Lot of baby roaches
- Doleata O (4/5): - This property needs alot of work & major upgrades. Lets start with all the crickets coming thru the cracks of the doors & the big crack in the bathroom wall. The tub was rusty & peeling. I asked for another room & got alot of push back intill i convinced them to come see all the critters running around our room. My stay was terrible. They finally gave us another room on the 2nd floor which wasnt any better but less crickets so we stayed because it wasn't a room left in town. I will never stay here again. But 1 thing i can say the employees were nice. Took them a minutes to give me another room. Had to ask for the manager.
- David (2/5): - The inside lock on the door was removed and the room was not safe. The control knob on the air conditioner was broken. The phone was broken and dirty. No space to hang clothes. Toilet seat was broken.
- Ashley (10/5): - It was quiet and close to a lot of restaurants
- Wyatt (10/5): - overall a good stay will be back
- Rodrick (4/5): I think I’m at least could get a voucher - The towels was dingy and there was all kind of bugs in the room. Stink bugs, bettles, flies and spiders.
- Jimmy (2/5): - Beds in horrible conditions, no working TV or phone in room. Microwave and refrigerator in bad condition. This was yhe worst and my last stay at this hotel. Much work is needed to update the rooms.
- Sharon (4/5): - The hotel seems to be under repair and they may be trying to improve. However, currently rooms are not finished and not clean.
- Katherine (2/5): Water room - The room smelled of smoke, it was clean, no smoke detector, mold was on the ceiling in the bathroom ,the floors were not sweep. They didn't offer us another room. The room had water on the floor
- Sandra (2/5): - Not sanitary, was given a smoking room after requested non smoking in original booking, ceiling was leaking liquid and room service never came to give towels. Decided to check out early
- helen (2/5): - Wouldn't ever refer anyone. Rating -0
- Doris (6/5): - Stay was ok except an overnight staff who was rude.
- earl (10/5): - great staff and very nice room
- Marian (2/5): - The place had been remodeled but not clean there were mats constantly flying a garbage was eight outside my room there was grease poured by my parking spot as I went to Walmart. I called the office and they didn’t care they said those are the workers they leave tomorrow . Pillows were unsanitary. I reported to housekeeping and the manager on duty. It was early maybe 9:30 am. I needed to sleep had been up all night. No one replaced my pillows til 10:30 pm.
- Dwayne (8/5): - The location
- Nakisha (6/5): - The bathroom wasn't cleaned well. Water was brown colored
- Lucas (8/5): - Its all good
- Lucas (8/5): - It all good
- Lucas (8/5): - Its all good
- Ashley (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay very clean nice area Mexican restaurant right across the street sells good food and drinks only thing I didn’t like about it is when it was time to warm our food up there wasn’t a microwave in the room
- Lucas (8/5): - Its alright
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs lots of work - The hotel website said they accept pets. We traveled with 2 dogs. The attendant produced a sign that said 1 dog even though there was another sign on the counter that said Max of 2 dogs. She called the manager and we were allowed to stay.
they are remodeling so furniture was all over the parking lot. Half the room was new (bed and dresser) and half was old (couch and lamps). Someone had stuck salt packets to the picture by the bed. The toilet water was brown so we didn't use the sink water.
I know some of this was out of their control but we had expected something a little better by the pics... At least the bed was new and clean.
- Glynn R (8/5): - Everything good.
- Ronald (4/5): - No working television. No working refrigerator. Coffee pot without coffee.
- Shani (4/5): - Took 30 min to check in. No trash can in room
- Kenneth (6/5): - No soap, no Kleenex. Kleenex holder (empty) and shower curtain both quite rusty
- Shameka (2/5): - One of the rooms had a musty smell rm 125 and 205 toilet was broke from floor and seat was off
- Kenny (6/5): - I like the fact that some one would come around and ask if anything was needed in the room. And thestaff would get it for you.
- Damian (10/5): - Everything ok
- Johnathan (10/5): I"ll be back - Thry were extremly accomodating and the service was exceptional.
- Rodrick (2/5): - It was terrible, refrigerator didn’t get cold, microwave didn’t work, no iron, rings around toilet and tube and no iron.
- tommy (8/5): - price,good for what we needed.
- R9422OHdianan (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Checking in, the area looked really run down and sketchy. Prostitutes were hanging around outside. Our room smelled moldy, the toilet water was brown and there was rust in the bathroom. My husband was unloading our bags and a man came up and asked for money. We decided not to stay there. This place needs to be torn down.
- Rodrick (6/5): - It was ok , the pillows where to small uncomfortable
- Elizabeth Lee (10/5): - Veronica at the front desk was such a great help! Great attitude and went above and beyond to help me.
- 793semam (6/5): Not satisfied at all - It was just okay I thought it was a bit pricey for the hotel that was selected I had never seen it and didn't know what it was I was asked for $300 at the door with no receipt only on checkout. Really hot pool was paved over air conditioning was great the grounds on the hotel were run down the fence was broken did we all around in the back or the rear. Next time I'll find a much better hotel got my receipt at checkout and will never go there again.
- David (8/5): - The front desk workers were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing is the water was brown brown in the toilet.
- Kearrah (4/5): - Very uncomfortable and pictures are deceiving also there was no pool
- Kealton freeman (2/5): - Lot noise
- Gloria (6/5): - This property was ok for what it was. The staff was very friendly, but the property is outdated and there is no pool as advertised.
- cynthia (2/5): - they had roaches the floors was dirty the show spat water every where the staff was ...questionable the fire extinguisher was broken it was trash every where
- Larry (10/5): Comfortable but slightly misleading - The stay was decent. I only had 2 complaints. First the hotels.com showed an active pool in the picture but the pool was filled in obviously years ago. And also the water was brown whe i filled the tub.
- Ira (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay there. I haven't had a good stay at hotel in a while.
- Chinwe (2/5): - I will not wish my enemies to stay here, this lodge is terribly dirty
- Denise (10/5): - The are were the ice machine was not clean or safe
- Octaveia (2/5): - TV didn’t work tub was dirty and my key card didn’t work also
- Bobbie (4/5): - It was dirty and had a bad odor. The cleaning staff did not change the bed sheets, and the mirror and floor were not cleaned daily. The door had an opening at the bottom. There was no closet or anywhere to hang your clothes. I was there for my brother funeral! This is a place that needs to be cleaned and cleaned up.
- Jamie (8/5): - What i didnt like was the fact the water was brownish but apparently thats just greenvill
- Shanytta (2/5): - My room was dirty. The mirror and bathroom was dirty, the fllors need to be sweep, and odor. I had to leave. The staff was friendly.
- David (2/5): - Door wouldn’t open on first room. Moved to another. Smoke smell. No toilet paper. Locks on door were poor. When we saw a bug on the bed we left
- Ron (10/5): Gville econo lodge stay. - Room was clean and comfortable. They are in the process of updating the rooms so there was a light not plugged in and thermostat on wall was not wotking yet. Didnt bother me at all. Both people i dealt with at front desk were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. I grew up near here so this is definitely the better side of town.
- Pamela (8/5): - Notice a few roaches, no place to hang clothes,
- Ashley (10/5): - I like it cause it was in a quiet location multiple restaurants and stores was near by the room was clean
- Laura (10/5): - Loved how quiet it was...
- Victor (8/5): - Great staff and service! I do wish the laundry and ice machine were working however.
- ophelia (8/5): - The water was brown and the breakfast was late and was not a Continental breakfast
- Deloris A (8/5): - Office Manager Kizzy went out of the way to ensure my stay were great and accommodated my need for a great stay. Staff made sure I had clean towels before their shift ended.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Not far from planned activities.
- Corey (6/5): - Not a lot to like. It was relatively quiet but that's probably because of the few people that had rooms. Could hear the traffic from the street but that was tolerable. I felt comfortable only in the bed.... the couch, shower and anything else I didnt feel so comfortable
- April (2/5): - Pictures are deceptive. We arrived Sunday evening around 7 p.m. I think we were the only people booked. We needed a handicapped room for our elderly parents who have difficulty with tubs and stairs. We were directed to a room but on arrival, we found the air didn't work and the beds looked like someone had been laying on them. The bathroom had dirty towels and an unflushed toilet. The front desk person was kind but informed me they didn't have any more "clean" rooms on the first floor except for a room with known issues that she did not recommend. We managed to get my parents up the stairs since there was a no-refund policy when purchasing through Expedia. That room was not much better than the first room. The air worked a little better. The only thing keeping the door shut was the bar lock. light bulbs were burned out and outlets didn't work. The TV was on when we walked in. I pulled back the covers on the bed to find nasty dirty sheets. By this time, I am just ready to clean my own room which we did. We called the front desk and the front desk person was again very kind and brought us two sets of sheets that smelled clean but were very stained. We should have asked for towels since there was only one towel and one washcloth but there was no way I was going to get in that tub so it didn't matter. Again light bulbs were burned out and an outlet by the bed did not work. The furniture is dirty and stained, dust on everything, sticky & nasty. Not worth a star. AVOID THIS HOTEL.
- Sergio (8/5): - Great Staff, well worth the price for a non frills stay. Internet was very slow.
- SHADREIKA (2/5): Econo lodge sucks - I was given three rooms the first one hadn't been cleaned, the second one someone was still staying in it the third was okay until house keeping came busting in while I was sleeping.
- Michael (6/5): - Run down and pool pictured but does not exist
- Twana (2/5): Never Again - The service was horrible. During check-in I was given a room that was apparently the property storage and when i return to let the clerk know that the room was not fit to stay in, she had an attitude. I was then given another room, but my card was charged another $80 plus after I had paid for the stay already. There was no breakfast available for the guest, but the staff ate from the sister hotel next door. I checked out early and was charged $79 plus for not completing the reservation stay. I filed a complaint and was hoping to be compesated for such a horrible experience
- Replayy (10/5): - Nice welcome and everything else
- William (2/5): - The property was convenient to downtown but the area is in a state of social decline.
Negatives:
1. The card door lock did not work. It stayed unlocked at all times. I used the deadbolt while in the room.
2. The smoke alarm emitted a loud beep every minute or so.
3. It was difficult to close the privacy curtains that cover the front window.
4. At 3am the person in the room above took a shower and the drain in their bathroom leaked heavily so that most of the water came down through the vent in my bathroom's ceiling -- several gallons.
5. There was a coffee maker with coffee and cup lids, but no cups.
- Courtenay (2/5): - So the front desk staff was nice. Other than that everything was terrible. The room was dirty, no towels, the ac barely put out any cool air. Was told there was breakfast, my husband went down and there was absolutely no food or coffee put out at all. A complete rip off to charge people $70/$80 a night for this place. I will not be staying there again.
- kenya (2/5): Very unsatisfied customer - The room was not cleaned. There was leftover food from the previous guest in the drawers. I reserved a non smoking room. The room smelled like smoke. No towels. Bathtub was filthy. I was given a refund which I still haven’t received a week later.
- Denise (2/5): - This property was nothing like the advertised pictures you presented, the room ha foul odor, furniture was worn and torn, carpet was sticky, lobby nasty and was not sanitary for eating anything, people were loitering around blocking the entrance with card tables a bbq grills and a dog. I did not feel safe. So I had to pay twice as much to go to the Hampton Inn. And I’m seeking to get compensated for that. You’ll be hearing from my representative soon. I suggest you take that deplorable property off your website!!!
- Sharon (2/5): - This property need to close their doors no towels that’s crazy as hell I never want to stay there every again service is horrible
- Auriana (2/5): - This place is the worst place I’ve ever been to . They had no towels the bed was as hard as a brick everything was dirty including the sheets . The rate of the room was not the actual amount I paid more then I intended ALL THE WATER IS BROWN . Worst experience ever never ever ever again if you want to stay somewhere cheap 30 minutes away is a days inn in lake village book there . This hotel made me want to no longer us Expedia because of how bad that hotel was
- FRANSHETTA (2/5): - Worst place in the United States to stay at…. Don’t stay there you have been warned.Horrible service, unprofessional and ignorant…. Smh
- Idelia (4/5): Never rent here again!! - I had to change rooms because the room was dirty and the paint was peeling off the ceiling in bathroom. The tub needed resurfacing. Sheets was old and stained. The room should have been one of their down units. This is my 2nd time staying there. Each time I was not satisfied. I had forgotten about the first time I stayed. If I had remembered I would not have booked a room. I tried to get my money back but was told I would loose my money. The second room was a little better but not much. There was no clean towels or microwave. They didn't have a breakfast as stated. Never again. Really put a damper on my birthday weekend. All the way from Georgia!!
- LaTonya (2/5): - We didn’t even stay to sleep in the room at all. Very nasty and unsafe. We left parked was
- alisonwU2770VW (2/5): ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE - Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed. First room we were put in, filthy, hadn’t been cleaned from previous guest. Second try, thermostat literally fell out of the wall and had no working lights. Third try, no towels or blankets in the room and no lock on the door. Upon asking the front desk to ring towels, the employee says, “Well guests have to come down and get them if you want them.” Working on getting a full refund because this is honestly so terrible.
- Reggie (2/5): - My room was not clean. Bed was not made and lights did not come on. After I was moved to another room the air conditioning was not working and no microwave plus sheets were dirty. They wouldn’t give me a refund even though I didn’t stay in the room at all and they were so rude
- Verified traveler (4/5): Need appliances fixed and better customer service - The stay here was ok. Need better appliances and services. The service here needs approvement especially with customer service representative. Some of them are not so friendly and will leave a nasty taste in your mouth. Had issues with my stay here in regarding the days I paid for and had to call customer service to assist me with retrieving my confirmation on how many days i paid because they lost my documents/ receipt on my stay if not would have been paying for days i alteady paid for. Changed 3 to 4 different rooms due to needing appliances or the rooms are dirty. Will not be staying here with my family.
- Harry (8/5): - All good
- Inspire164996 (2/5): Do not go there ! - My parents and I stayed at the Econo Lodge in Greenville MS on the night of November 21st 2022 while on a road trip. The room was charged to my (French citizen) father's credit card and the operation appeared successful. The next day, the woman from the front desk called us after we had checked out to say the operation had failed and she asked us to provide the card number again. I refused at first for fear of a second charge but she promised there would be only one so we gave her the numbers again. Back to France a couple weeks later, my father discovered the room had been charged twice, once on the first night and the second time the next day as we had feared. He immediately sent them a letter requesting a refund that was ignored. He then asked for my help. I called the hotel in January 9, January 10, January 11, January 13, January 24, January 25 and again in Feb 16. Each time I am told they can confirm the 2 charges and will refund us or get back to me within the day. I never hear back and we have not been refunded.
Other than refusing to refund a double charge that is entirely their mistake, the hotel was less than clean, the towels stained, the coffee machine not working...
All in all - do not stay there
- Pernetric (4/5): - I did not like the fact that the final price given when i reserved the room changed upon checking in, plus an hour after i was charged another fee and was told it's for incidents that may occur, which has not been given back to me. I got to the room there was no microwave when I asked for one i was told they had to find one for me which they did. It was dirty they got it from the room next door to me, those purple was leaving as i was getting my luggage out of the car complaining of how dirty their room was. There was no towels in our room also there was two toilet paper rolls with very little tissueon them. I don't think I'll lodge with them again
- Kathy (10/5): - The property was in a convenient location and avoidable price. The Hostess was very nice and pleasant.
- 196CindyJ196 (2/5): Needs a lift. - About 7 or 8 cross country trips and this was probably one of the worst Choice properties. The best part was the new flooring. Thankfully no carpet.
The manager was fairly new and is probably doing the best she can with what it is. She was apologetic about the towels and gave us replacements. Bedding was nice. Obviously the bed skirt and cover were pulled out of a dryer and put on wrinkled. But clean.
Bathroom grab bar- broken off
No breakfast
Towels need replacing, thread bare and one looked like cleaning rag
Smoke alarm was covered with plastic probably from a prior guest,
Hope the manager can get a handle on this property and bring up the quality.
- Jermiah (4/5): - There wasn’t even a microwave in my room
- Charles (2/5): Terrible trip. - Reservation was canceled by the hotel one day before my arrival by their mistake. My reservation was cancelled on the 1st of December but I was supposed to show up on 2nd of December. It took them 3 hours to straighten this out. The people at hotels.com weren’t to helpful. They kept hanging up on the hotel manager and then wouldn’t answer their phone. Terrible trip. T.V. Also didn’t work.
- Rodrick (2/5): - Not so good because they overcharged my card several times
- Maggie (4/5): - There was nothing I like and wouldn't recommend it to my worse enemy
- Danica (2/5): Completely awful stay - Checked in and the rep was told by the manager to go check the room and she came back and said it was clean. I went to the room out my things down and left because I was there for an event. Came back late and noticed front office was closed. Get to room and I wanted shower. There were no towels, only wash rags and the countertop was nasty and dirty. I only had two pillows on my bed and during my sleep I woke up scratching and digging because something bite me. The next morning I went to complain and was locked out my room twice. This was an awful stay and I complained and received not one apology. This was my third stay here and I will not be returning.
- John (2/5): - Nasty and not fresh at all. Beds are ridiculous
- Vanessa (8/5): - This was my first stay at Econo Lodge; it was above my expectations. I had restful sleep because it wasn’t noisy. The room was clean; staff was nice as well.
- Byron (2/5): - We had rust on our sheets no lights in the bathroom work limited towels. Staff tried to help but this place needs serious renovations
- FrogMuskogee (2/5): AWFUL AND DANGEROUS TOO! - Just wanted you to know that this facility is the most poorly run Choice Hotels property we have ever stayed in. We pulled up at 3:04 to witness two employee women outside the office smoking. We went in and were told we might have a bit of a wait because the rooms weren't yet cleaned from the night before. Finally at 4:20 we were allowed to get in out room. It was dingy and had several light bulbs that didn't work. The grab bar in the tub area was not attached to the wall at the bottom so there was no stability when showering and the safety strips at the bottom of the tub were worn out making showering dangerous. There was no clock.
- Sheri (4/5): - Almost 5pm and there were at least 10 people in line waiting for their rooms to cleaned so they could check in. Housekeeping were taking smoke breaks instead of cleaning and preparing rooms. Guests had to go to the front desk to get toiletries and towels because the housekeepers weren’t replenishing them once they cleaned the rooms. Just horrible
- Roshanda (2/5): NEVER AGAIN WILL I RESERVE A ROOM - A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!! Rooms not very clean and still have not received my refund from being overcharged!!
- Candice (4/5): - Took awhile to check in, only one person working. No clean rooms available & 1 person to clean 77 rooms. After getting in the room, there was no light in the vanity area and no towels, wash cloths, no hand towels or bath mat. The water was brown and not safe to drink or make coffee. Was very loud at night, loud music and motorcycles racing up and down the parking lot.
- Tenequis (6/5): - You couldn’t get extra towels. The iron was broken and they wouldn’t offer another one. There were no phones in the rooms so we had to walk to the office when we needed something because no one would answer the phone at the front desk when we called from our cell phones
