Guest Reviews
- Justin (10/5): - Friendly staff and a quiet environment.
- George (8/5): - For what I paid, the room wasn't all that. I do believe the rate was sky high because OU was hosting Alabama that weekend. Overall it was convenient for a one night stay. Plenty of parking and a plethora of restaurants to choose from.
- Mashaekh (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Its location was incredibly convenient, with easy access via Uber. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the furnishings were both stylish and comfortable. The cleanliness was impeccable, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing two-night stay.
The only suggestion I have for improvement would be the inclusion of toothpaste and a toothbrush among the amenities. Otherwise, everything was flawless.
- Richard (10/5): - very quiet and clean
- Michelle (2/5): - Very old with broken and dirty fixtures. The beds and pillows were fine. Shower was ok. Breakfast was ok. Did not feel safe. Homeless men across the way at the closed down hotel next door. Looked like a homeless man with a very large knife eating breakfast. We only stayed because of the OU football game. Way over priced though. Would not do it again.
- Michael (6/5): - The hotel and the staff were fine. Just be careful in the parking lot. Homeless people walking around the hotel from the abandoned hotel next to it makes it a safety risk.
- Lauri (2/5): - We ended up not staying. Poor service, room was awful(lights didn’t work and stunk of cigarettes), sketchy clientele, felt unsafe, parking lot was very dark…..tried to get a refund, but was told since I booked through Expedia they couldn’t. Can’t believe Expedia would list such a property.
- Joseph (4/5): - Complaint is with the motel I stayed at in Norman, OK... America's Best Value in, just off I-35 and Main Street... Rooms and building were run down, in need of repair. Bathroom door was delaminated, rust stains on the tub. When I arrived there were public hairs in the tub soap dish, and longer hair in the bottom of the tub... if my wife was with me we would have left for another hotel... but I stayed and made the best of it. There was no room service, fond room as I left when returning each day... no new towels, no made bed, no cleaning.... will never reserve this motel chain again... reminded me of staying in a third world hotel overseas... I am retired military.
- Carolyn (6/5): - I would not recommend this facility. I felt safe at the location. My room was clean, which was great, but the furniture, fixtures, etc, were all old, mismatched and worn. The continental breakfast was minimal. The woman at the front desk was so nice and friendly, the man (manager ??) was just business. My sister in law was in the room next to mine. She found a dead frog in her bathroom. It had been there for a while (rigor mortis set in). The "manager" was really shady about who he was and played games with her about some sort of compensation. It worked out in the end, which was good.
- Patricia (2/5): - I found a dead frog on the bathroom floor between the toilet and tub. It was very stiff and dry. I showed it to the front office. They said it would be shown to management and housekeeping. I asked for compensation and was told the manager would contact me. After 3 attempts the adult in the office offered me $30 off. I felt like I was at a swap meet bargaining. Finally he relented and gave me a partial refund.
The room condition was marginal as the toilet rocked unattached to floor and mold on ceiling above the shower. I left this motel with bites on my scalp that still itch. Feels like bed bugs.
I will never stay at this motel again and I can not recommend it to anyone.
- Emmitt (4/5): - This property is not cared for, my ceiling light was out, the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Power strips were used for TV and refrigerator. There is no way this property meets code.
- Jason (4/5): - The bed spread had four cigarette burns and was dirty. The floors were dirty. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathtub had cigarette burns. I feel the price I paid was way to high for the condition of the room.
- Jeff and Teresa (2/5): - Staff were extremely rude and very unsafe area
- Kayoni (4/5): The Ghetto - There is a missing and dead lightbulb in the restroom, there is crust on the rim of the bathtub where the towel is. There's a hole in the blanket on the bed. Theres a grimey texture on the handles of the drawers. One of the lamps arent working, there is a hair left over in the wall dryer, the AC unit has dust in it which is ironic considering this place emphasizes "Please be good to your lungs", and the ironing board is dusty and stained. There was an odor from the bathroom because there was no showerliner for the shower,so the water gave the curtain a musty scent when it got wet. There were no blinds for the window, just a dark curtain. So i couldn't let any sunlight in without the fear of being watched, there were pubes left on the toilet from the last tenant. I got locked out of my room twice because my card kept deactivating midway through my stay. And they have food way past the expiration date in the refrigerator in the lounge room of the office. The muffins they had expired on 8/07/24. Days passed and they were never replaced. I'm assuming this hotel doesnt care much about first impressions at all. Wasn't expecting luxury but the bare minimum of making sure the place is wiped down clean and amenities were ready weren't even accomplished. Im disappointed. Was hoping my money would be well spent here.
- Ron (2/5): - We ended up not staying. Went and got a different hotel. Area seemed unsafe.
- Maureen (10/5): - Perfect for the one night stay for adults. Would not recommend if children are a part of your crowd due to lack of play areas. Very relaxing for adults & dark rooms aid sleep. Overall it was a nice stay.
- Dustin (8/5): - Really liked the room, the property was very safe. My only issue was the person running the office really wasnt very personal and not very welcoming. Didnt offer up where the room was, tell me where to get the wifi (even tho i knew, but i might not have). She was just give money, bye
- Eric (10/5): - It was ok...no issues
- Gail (10/5): - The beds were very comfortable. The only thing bed was the bathroom door was too hard to open & close! Not enough room!
- Zulma (6/5): - It could improve
- Darren (10/5): - Great service and. Rooms
- Jerril (10/5): - One night stay. Quick find and availability. No issues. Enjoyed my stay
- Dennis (4/5): Looks nice. But, has issues - Room looks nice. In good condition. Tv is horrible. Alot of channels not available. Shower looks nice but has a rain fall head on the shower. Does massage your body. Just gets you wet. None of the electrical plugs work. I am unable to charge my phone. I will stay in another town before i come back here
- Richard (6/5): - Didn't stay there had a family emergency never made iit to Norman. I tried to cancel but it wouldn't let me . Plus they changed me for staying after I tried to cancel. My name is Richard Calhoun
- Derrick (2/5): - I like it because it was off the freeway and was convenient to the walmart and restaurants. What I dint like about is the bed sheets smell old the wash cloth and the towel looked really used, and entry upstairs it had old chairs and table in the stairways entree. And it also look like a housing area for homeless people or family who cant afford a house
- Mark (8/5): - Access to lobby was not available prior to check in.
- Amy (4/5): - We found dirty towels on the back of the bathroom door. The sheets had horrible stains on them. The front desk person was so friendly which made it disappointing when we saw the room.
- Mary Jane (10/5): - Adjacent to a quiet neighborhood with easy access Main Street and 24th.
- Lucy (2/5): Room smelled like pee - The hotel was in a very good location except for the room smelled like pee really bad and the bed was very old and loud. The room just smelled bad altogether. the shower had mold in it.
- Darren (10/5): - Nice property…close to ou
- Melissa (8/5): - The staff was helpful while checking in. The walls are VERY thin. We were awoken at 6 by the room next door's conversations. It felt as if they w were in our room.
- Brian (10/5): - Great value, clean room, efficient breakfast, friendly desk staff!
- Andy (6/5): - Pillows were tiny
- C (6/5): - Odor in room--towels not good-- door slightly ajar
- Michelle (8/5): - Convenient. It was close to the campus of the University. We were there for our son’s graduation.
- Amanda (10/5): - Really good for the price
- Justin (10/5): - Very quiet environment, they came while we were gonna and tidied up the room and restocked everything. Office staff is very nice and personable.
- Brandy (2/5): - This was my second hotel in Norman. The owner screamed at me when I was checking in as I did not have my driver’s license with me as I left it in my car, and I showed him my passport, which is a gov’t form of ID. He screamed at me saying he needs my license in order to scan it in to the system and he does this every day and knows what he is doing. There were two other young gentlemen in the corner saying smart remarks as I had a passport and not a driver’s license. I called Expedia and explained the incident, they owner lied and said he did not scream at me and said he asked me nicely. He then decided to not fully refund my stay and take a night as that was his discretion as the owner. Expedia tried to argue that I did not use my reservation and that I should be given my full refund, but he is the owner and this was his discretion. The location of this place is something I would not recommend to woman traveling alone, or with small children.
- Jonna (10/5): - For a Motel the room was good for a cheap 1 night stay. Grounds littered with trash and clutter.
- Peggy (8/5): - Handicapped very inadequate. No handicap raised toilets only 1 handicap rail in shower and it was up against the wall no rails to front left or right.. time for new mattress.
- Jamie (6/5): - Convenience to Highway and restaurant-
- Theresa (8/5): - For the price it was right.
- Edward (8/5): - I like this particular property bcuz the staff is very helpful and friendly. If only they had a pool but this is where I usually stay because besides the friendly staff the price is hard to beat
- Denise (8/5): - The good part was there were restaurants for breakfast and didnt like was the smell in the rooms.
- william (4/5): - It was ok for a 40$ room. But it cost about 80$
- Brian (6/5): - This is an economy hotel and you are paying economical prices for it. Everything falls right in the range one would expect. There are no glaring deficiencies there. They meet expectations.
- Mark (2/5): - First, we were made to wait for thirty minutes after driving from TX for the desk clerk to find our reservation, which we had made several days previously. Finally when we arrived at our room, we were absolutely appalled! No comforter, only two tiny pillows, no coffee maker, the bathroom had huge burn marks from one end of the tub to the other - and, AND - NO HEAT!!! We contacted the desk and were told they would provide us with a floor heater. What?! No, we want a different room to which they responded, "We don't have any other rooms." We advised the desk clerk we would be contacting our credit card company and several minutes we were called to let us know that in fact a different room was available after all. We had to move all of our belongings at 1am! After an angst ridden night in this awful room (at least there were four pillows and some HEAT), I pulled a chair into the open door and lit up a cigarette. Suddenly some woman - cleaning staff? the owner? I have no idea, began yelling at me from the parking lot, telling me that "that is not a smoking room!!!" and "to leave! Get out right now or we would be charged more money!!" Go now! I was smoking one cigarette OUTSIDE our room, for Godsake! We are talking to our credit card company and your motel should be leveled to the ground!!!
- Michael (4/5): Room smelled Horrible - The room reeked of marijuana when we walked in. Unknown as to the cause; past guest, staff or the dispensary across the street. Bed was very hard and pulled away from the wall. Cleanliness was ok. Breakfast was very basic but included
- Cristina (10/5): - Nice clean comfortable rooms after a long drive
- Jason (4/5): Updates are desperately needed - The furniture in our room was missing pieces of trim on every piece. The bath tub had burn marks on ledge. The bathroom door is falling apart. The blanket on bed had a burn hole in it and all of the towels and wash clothes were beyond stained.
- Jerry (4/5): - I will start out for the bathroom had cigarette burns on the tub at the walls needed to be cleaned and painted or something they got holes in them would not even recommend anybody going there and they want to charge you 40 hours or $50 a night and then Jack it up to 100 something tonight on football nights got to be crazy don't ever stay there watch out people go throwing things through the windows too at night is the worst place to stay
- Shawn (2/5): - Makes you frel very uncomfortable during your stay, very judgemental in no kind of good way
- Pedro (4/5): - Breakfast was okay but property needs to be cleaned. They damaged furniture by the stairways and inside the room there was a bad smell and the drawers in the furniture were damaged as they didn’t close all the way.
- Lisa (8/5): Good for an overnight stay - The staff were friendly at check-in. It is a bit dated, but clean and generally safe. The breakfast is definitely a "grab and go" - all packaged goods.
- Leisa (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised! - This was the last room available in Norman for a FB game weekend & reading the reviews scared me but we reserved it! Room was a pleasant surprise. Parking and room were clean and well lit. Not a real updated place (fixtures were old) but it was clean and kept up. Bed was super clean and comfortable. Everything worked wonderfully and for the price, it was fantastic. No continental breakfast (still due to COVID?) and lobby had a ton of unsightly HUGE plants growing in the entry way that really need to be tossed but overall pleasantly surprised…..especially based on some of the reviews we read. One review said that their towels were not “clean” so I did pack a few which glad I did as their towels were very small. Very close to OU Stadium and motel was filled with FB fans. Would it totally stay there again…especially for the price!
- Charles (4/5): - The desk staff was unprofessional and unfriendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - To be fair, this hotel was very inexpensive, but when we pulled up there were some really shady characters hanging around the parking lot, and there were signs everywhere warning about theft. The room smelled bad every time we walked in (but you don't notice it after a couple of minutes). The bathroom was kind of dirty. The breakfast was fine, breads and cereals.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant and uneventful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not very clean room parking lot full of shady people hanging out
- Hector M (6/5): Fair enough - Very kind people and clean a fair price
- Verified traveler (4/5): - 5cf hgth bbb jjmf bmbbnhnh.cn. Bb

- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay. Good value. - Easy and pleasant check in and check out. Bathroom was clean. A/C worked well. Shower was hot. Bedspread had a stain.
- Justin (6/5): Ok - Clean n comfortable.
- Martin (10/5): - Great stay for the money ,good clean rooms and friendly service.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service before I actually would of checked in but needed so help with a early check in and was given nothing but the run around and basically just offered me to just cancel and get refund through Expedia rather than providing me with his offer but once he saw the benefit in profit blew me off completely and told me to cancel reservation and approved for refund. The complete lack of integrity and absolutely no clue how to give exceptional customer service and appalling to see nonexistent two different times and by different agents. Neither could complete what was told was done and completed but never did and now I’m still waiting for management to wake up and see the chats and my miserable experiences and just give me what I was told previous morning. Not the standard set high by two many companies which dropped the ball multiple times and disappointed being a executive in hospitality management and to see the nonexistent of customer service being at the forefront of either of your businesses. We as customers shouldn’t be left to suffer for your employees major mistakes
- Ashley (4/5): Very dissapointed - The sheets on mattresses were ripped, &mattress old. Electrical cord cut, not up to code, everything plugged into one surge protector. No ice. Did not match pictures. Shouldve been half the price!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was discusting and staff was very rude. I did not even stay
- Charla (6/5): Check in terrible. - First impression was that the lobby windows and doors were so dirty and i am not a neat freak so for me to notice means it was bad and was wondering if there were even lights on inside .Check in was terrible. I had got a great deal on hotels.com. The clerk was very rude asking how i got this rate for the night. When i told him, instead of checking me in and letting me go to my room, he calls up hotels.com and argues with them for 30 minutes about how the rates were wrong on their site and how they needed to give him the difference. I was extremely tired and worried about my husband in the hospital, I did not need this. The room was mediocre at best with a stained tub, and stained sheets and comforter. I will not be going back to this location nor do i recommend it for anyone else.
- David m (8/5): k - It was nice for the price. I’d stay here again
- John (4/5): - TV didn't work, wifi wasn't working, water pressure horrible, no breakfast even though it was advertised. Beds surprisingly comfortable.
- Martin (10/5): Awesomeness - The room was nice and clean!!! The customer service lady was extremely nice and professional. Would recommend to anyone visiting Elk City!!!
- SarahG (6/5): - Would have been a great night stay if mother nature would have not went psycho with a thunderstorm. We lost electricity at 1245 am and never turned back on before we checked out at 11. We enjoyed our room for about 6 hrs before that. Would have been good for future events such as no electricity to check on your hotel guests and let them know some information of current status of electricity restoral or anything. Other than almost 12 hrs of no AC its a nice hotel for the rate. Would stay again just not if weather is to get bad.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The price was fair for this clean room and breakfast area
- Wendy (2/5): -5 out 10 👎👎👎 - I was absolutely appalled at the level of customer service, or any service for that matter that was provided during this stay. I woke up the second day with bites all over my stomach, this being the most severe complaint. Along with the cleanliness of the room overall upon arrival, and the number of large burn holes in the comforter. When I went to address these matters. I was treated with a kind of disrespect I personally have never been exposed to, in my consumer lifetime. Management proceeded to cancel the 6 night stay after the 2nd night. This caused a minor family catastrophe. Hotels dot COM! WILL NEVER RECEIVE SERVICE FROM ME AGAIN! Unless there is some sort of effort made to correct this extreme inconvenience
- Joshua (8/5): Pleasant Stay - People were friendly. Hotel room was clean. It was a pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - Absolutely terrible. Check in staff was rude. Told my boyfriend and I that there was no vacancy when we came into town earlier than expected, but the parking lot was empty. We stayed at a different hotel for that night. When we finally checked in we got into our room and there was pee stains on the bed sheets. Contacted the front desk and they made us change the sheets rather than accommodating us to a different room. All of the towels were stained and dingy. We had a two night stay and the second night we were locked out of the room they needed to rekey our card. Horrible experience and we will never ever stay there again nor will we recommend this horrid place of a hotel.
- Jayne (10/5): - This was the best motel for the price. We stayed quite a few days. Never saw a bug...bed was comfortable...room was good sized and clean. Some of the furniture was a little worn but seriously, that is nothing. Office was friendly and helpful. This place is definitely worth checking out.
- Ben (10/5): - Good place to stay, friendly staff, uber/lyft ride away from Oklahoma University
- Lori (8/5): - Nice place to stay for the price. Clean. I would stay again
- Mac (4/5): - Flying to Arizona and bad weather grounded me here unexpectedly. Upon check-in I was told there is no business center or computer, as it's not an internet cafebut if I walked down 2 miles to the college center perhaps someone there would loan me a laptop?? (This was not a college kid I was speaking with). however the folks at the Super 8 not even 30 yards away sharing the parking lot, allowed me to use their business computer to check the weather! Awesome folks!
No soap or shampoo in the room, and waited at the desk 15 minutes for them to locate something. No cups or coffee in my room, but it was late, and going downstairs for breakfast in the morning there was only dry cereal and some sort of pastry but there was plenty of coffee, and ....absolutely no cups to drink it,.... However the folks at the super 8 motel next door were happy to offer me a cup and even suggest that I simply stay and have breakfast with them as it's not uncommon for people to wander across seeking refuge. Can't say enough about the super 8 next door...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the staff was friendly and willing to assist, the rooms were clean, and the surrounding was beautiful had Walmart close by-
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good place to stay, close to OU and convenient to go to other stores
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The rooms are filthy, burn holes everywhere and stunk like smoke bad. Hair all over beds and pillows. Shower was nasty. Side walked are tore up and dangerous
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very convenient location and excellent customer service. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Desk clerk was very abrupt and not friendly imo...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small and tucked away on side road yet great lication near hey and reatisrants/stores and CAMPUS. Loved no carpet so it seemed cleaner. Had all the amenities in room you may need. Friendly staff. Housekeeping came to door early which woke me up but otherwise great.
- Binh (2/5): Stay away from this hotel. - The worst hotel , I have ever stayed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice and clean for the price
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Sheets and pillow cases stained hole in bathroom door
- Travis (6/5): Double Charged - I paid for my room through hotels.com but the hotel charged me as well, therefore I was double charged. I am still waiting for the issue to be resolved.
- timothy (6/5): Like Day and Night - The night crew checking were on point...fast friendly and informative. The day crew were rude, in a hurry and were not easy to understand.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The breakfast provided is not as described , and the night staff couldn't find our reservation.
- Mary (4/5): - The room had many problems.
- Steve (2/5): - Dirty and old
- Brett (6/5): - In the maxim of "you get what you pay for" this is that kind of motel. I wasn't expecting much except a place to crash but the towels were thin and skimpy, the soap really cheap, the bathroom tiny and worst of all, NO HAIR DRYER! The mattress was hard and cheap and the floor hard and cold. But the tv did work and there was a refrigerator in the room that worked.
- Cerita (8/5): - It was located great and was ok! Clean and new looking! Pillows were lacking but otherwise ok!
- R (6/5): Nice, for the price. - Bed was hard, bathroom was tight and you could hear the ppl in the next room. But, for the price, it was great for a short stay. If you want uber comfort, spend the money and go somewhere else. I'll be back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Was very over priced and had to switch rooms cause First 1 was not very clean and bathtub was starting to rust
- Tanya (8/5): Boomer! - Very clean, nice stay.
