Guest Reviews
- Samuel (2/5): - 70s motel .
Felt very unsafe
Was only hotel available
- John (4/5): - Room was small but itis a motel. Water pressure great. Bed cim
- Kiki (6/5): Need a upgrade - Get wat u pay for I guess staff was very friendly tho I’ll say that and extremely helpful but the place could really use a makeover like the whole place bed was comfy tho pool I feel need to be cleaned water was salty instead of chlorine and a lot of particles floating around ok for quick stay
- Andrew (2/5): - Would not recommend.
- Leslie (10/5): - Excellent staff friendly and helpful. Older motel style , nice pool
- Camron (10/5): - Great people was awesome
- Emily (6/5): - I should’ve paid attention to the names on the reviews bc half of them are the same two names who are obviously trying to boost the motels ratings. The girl at the desk was very kind. But the room was a dump. It clearly had not been swept. I did check for bugs and didn’t see any and we were all fine so that’s a plus I guess lol I only stay in motels, so don’t think I’m comparing this to the ritz, or even a holiday inn lol but this place is definitely in the bottom 3 of places I’ve ever stayed.
- Joseph (10/5): - Price is fair for accommodations and they are the few hotels left that don’t demand a security deposit.
- 992joyp (10/5): Love My Little Room - Coming here for over 10 yrs no problems with the comfy lil room I always get.Choice Member the people here are very friendly & so is the service.Quiet hide-out and they do not harass you at all..🥰❤️Hooters is next door for your enjoyment.Nice🤫
- Chad (2/5): - Double charged, i prepaid for my room. And charged again at hotel.
- geovanyp962 (2/5): Cancellation - I accidentally booked a room for the next day and instead of the night I needed so I paid for the night I need when I got there and they telling me they won’t cancel it unless they find someone else to get the room . I don’t recommend going there they have bad customer service and will not help you when they know they can . It’s all about money for them and the location and stay wasn’t that good
- christopher (10/5): - Good hotel
- Teresa (6/5): - Bed was fairly comfortable. This is the only good news. Chair in the room was stained. Pipes made a horrible noise every time we flushed the toilet. Remote control for the tv barely worked. Worst part though was the blatant lie. Property did NOT include breakfast. Wasn't expecting much, but, at least coffee in the lobby where there were facilities indicating the stated "free breakfast" from hotel description, would have helped. When I asked the desk clerk about it, all he said was "no breakfast ". No apologies, nothing!
- ken (8/5): - There was no breakfast as described in description. That was disappointing. Other than that nice!
- Dewayne (4/5): - Old ran down
- kjward79 (2/5): uncomfortable stay mom and kids - I stayed at this motel and had some little insect bites on my body the next day,. I thought, hope this isn't bed bugs and showed the motel worker my phone photos and he refused to see them. I was hoping for a better stay and will not return here.
- Departure19094842253 (2/5): Stay Away!!! - Never again! Small room, Seedy area, stained, dirty blanket, cigarette burn on the bedspread, unfriendly staff, dirty carpeting. Hard to believe this is one of the Choice Hotels! Top this all off with some non-English speaking guy knocking on our door at 3:50am!!!! My wife was terrified to say the least. We told the person at the front desk and they just didn't seem to care. Breakfast area was smaller than a phone booth with hardly anything there. Needless to say we ate somewhere else. After reading some of the reviews on this place, I find it hard to believe that anyone gave it more than 2 stars. I think the owners wrote some of the reviews.
- stephenrI6858NE (2/5): Ok, maybe for 1 night in the Summer - You get what you pay for. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to come check me in. The buzzer to get someone wasn't noticeable until she got there & I waited for her to get me checked in. The shower leaked constantly as well as the sink. After only 3 showers, tub wouldn't drain. No iron or ironing board. Bed was comfortable however none of the 4 pillows were. The main thing that didn't make me happy was the heat/ac unit had a mind of it's own. It was kind of cold here in November & I needed heat. Once I finally figured how to choose the heat, I had to wake up all 3 mornings between 3:30 & 4:30 because I was freezing. Either the AC automatically kicked on, or the heat switched automatically back to AC! Ridiculous. I wouldn't stay here again.
- joedW1868QB (8/5): Nice stay for the nite - We stayed at the Quality inn for one night on our way to East TN and found the motel to be fully remodeled with new furnishings. Our king size bed was really comfortable and the cold a/c made us sleep well in these hot temperatures. The staff was friendly and location close to the interstate. Would definitely stay again in the future.
- 47hoosier (6/5): Not bad....not great - Better room than I thought it was going to be.
Very comfortable bed with updated furnishings. Rooms are tiny and not much area to move around.
All in all a clean and comfortable stay.
The biggest drawback was being able to hear the truck traffic on I65.
- JerryT127 (10/5): Perfectly acceptable and clean - This hotel has recent paint and shingles. It’s clean and comfortable both inside and out. It’s totally acceptable for a three star hotel. All rooms open to parking lot. No odors. Good location. Inexpensive. Coffee in room. No breakfast.
- 747rhondar (2/5): Dirty - Wish I had listened to bad reviews. There were little bugs. The carpet was dirty. They had us in a smoking room when we requested non smoking. The man at the front desk was not friendly or helpful. Will never stay there again
- Hotdamgirl (2/5): Rotten Nasty Room - We check in went to room walk into room it smelled nasty like musty wet smell. The double bed was as big as a twin bed and bedspread smelled of smoke in a non smoking room. Sheets were not white they were a very dull dark gray. Dead bugs on the floor in bathroom. Toilet dirty, black ring in bathtub. No soap to wash hands. This room I had to wait because they were still cleaning it. I was scared to sit anywhere didn't want any critters. Pool was dirty and water you could not see thru it. I would not let my family swim in this pool. I will not be back. If I didn't know better I would say this is a one hour place.
- robertpT5752PZ (6/5): 95% Pleased, Would Have Stayed Another Night If It Were Not Sold Out - This Rodeway Inn was located under a viaduct and had a complicated route to get to it. My GPS and I had trouble finding the route on the first try, but after turning around found it from the opposite direction.
I arrived at this Rodeway Inn in Goodlettsville, TN at about 12:30pm Central Time. Check in was supposed to not be before 2:00pm, but they had a room ready (and it was right next to the ice machine). I had to check in by talking to the staff through bulletproof glass even though it was 12:30pm.
The Rodeway Inn was adequate. It had all that you might find in a Choice Hotels brand economy motel.; two chairs, desk, drawers, telephone, light on the ceiling, two lights on the walls, light at the sink, light in the bathroom, toilet (though the elbow and knee room was tight), a tub with shower, telephone, HD TV, refrigerator, microwave oven, clock/radio, hair dryer, coffee maker, coffee (but no tea bags), coffee condiments, ice bin, hot and cold cups, big towels, small towels, wash rags, bath mat, adequate a/c for the size room, comfortable king size bed, adequate electrical outlets. The rooms were no smoking and no pets. They had a pool which I did not use. The door unlocked on the outside with a computer chip card that you just tapped on the unlock circle. There was a free continental breakfast of room temperature food except for the milk and “orange juice” (actually Sunny D) which were cold and what you could heat in the toaster. There likely was coffee, but I was not looking for it.
The bad things were the room was small and the king size bed probably took up 60% of the room space. I found if I walked across the floor in my bare feet, I got a grit on the bottom of them I had to brush off. Later, I looked at the bottom of my feet and found that they were nearly black. They needed to not only vacuum the floor but wash it (room 114). Also, one of the covers to an electrical outlet was missing.
Checkout at about 10:40am, through the bulletproof glass, was smooth.
I would have stayed an additional night, but the motel was sold out.
- 217efraims (8/5): Good value for the money - I enjoyed my 3 night stay here. The staff is a lot friendlier here then at the more expensive "Best value inn" next door.
The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet; and the fridge was cold.
My only criticism is that the chairs in the room are too small for adults. See picture
- allemyne (8/5): Not bad for the price - The room was actually really nice for what I needed - clean, comfy and quiet. The location was a bit of a pain to get to - kind of a weird entrance from the main road. The breakfast area didn't look real impressive, so I grabbed stuff from Target to heat in the microwave. The staff was very nice - always asking if I needed anything and very friendly. Really not a bad place if you are looking for a cheap place for a few nights.
- ShiningStar0921 (6/5): Cheap! - Decent option for cheap hotel! Staff very nice! We stayed 5 nights as we were in town for an event. Spent very little time at hotel. Room seemed clean. You could tell the bed had been swapped as it was a night nice bed and was comfortable but b cause of its size it took up ALOT of the Space!!!! It was snug in the room and not much space for bags ect. But again we were just there for somewhere to sleep and it did the job
- JES211 (8/5): Overnight stays - I stayed one night each on two separate occasions in the past two weeks. Both times I called in a reservation while I was on the road traveling toward Nashville. Both times I had some difficulty understanding the staff members on the phone, but managed to get my reservation. I was pleasantly surprised at the rooms. The beds were very nice, quite thick mattresses and adequate pillows--not the cardboard-thin ones found at many lower priced motels. The draperies were lovely and the room and bathroom were clean. The first night I detected a very slight odor, as if the room needed airing out. The breakfast offering was barely worth considering--cold cereal or packaged sweet rolls , but there were several food options within a few blocks. The desk staff were polite.
- jillellenc (10/5): Would absolutely stay here again - This was a wonderful hotel! We picked it based on TripAdvisor ratings. The room accoutrements were excellent. Everything in the room looked brand new. Plenty of good lighting (even above the bathroom sink - rare!), the bed felt like it had a memory foam top, VERY thick mattress, comfortable pillows, lovely decor/bed linens, lovely tassled valance on the window and thick blackout curtain, had a microwave and fridge, place to hang clothes. The bathroom, towels, etc. very clean. Climate control worked great. The bed had a nice, but not overwhelming, fresh fragrance. I forgot to check about an iron and ironing board. The room was small (redone older style one-story motel) but perfect for our needs. We got to park right outside our door!! And we were driving a crew cab F250, so were impressed that there was room, in a full parking lot, for us to get into a parking space between two other cars, let alone accommodate the horrible turning radius of our truck. Fabulous. We had made an advance registration but were on track to arrive around 1am. Around 11:30pm, we got a very polite courtesy call from the hotel asking whether we would be arriving soon. We assumed that the hotel was filling up and that the manager was checking with us in case we weren't coming, so that he could give the room to someone else. Sure enough, there was a NO VACANCY sign up when we arrived - but we had our room, as promised. The price was an excellent value. Some TripAdvisor reviewers mentioned that it was a little hard to find. It is "kind of" underneath a huge overpass, but since we were alert to it, we did not have any trouble. We would absolutely choose this motel first if we were to stay in the Nashville area again. Great job!
- sarahjR7966BG (6/5): Nothing special but worth the $ - We received a good price because of Choice Rewards and it was worth it. The rooms were a little small but that was fine for us! The bed was very comfortable. I slept really well. The only breakfast they served were bagels. The only problem we had were with ANTS! Lots and lots of ants. We had to put our toothbrushes and toiletries in a couple of different little bags and tie them up and put them on the desk. Hopefully the owners take care of the problem ASAP but I would definitely stay here again!
- Cowellboy (8/5): Pleasently Surprised - I used to stay at an upscale place near here because the company that I worked for had a fantastic corporate discount. Since retirement I don't get that anymore. I was pleasantly surprised with the room and the cost. The beds and pillows were among the best that I have slept in in quite a while. Room was quiet.
- JoeVH1951 (8/5): Very pleasantly surprised - This is an older property that is a little difficult to locate. It is off of I-65 almost directly beneath the overpass, and behind a Hooters. Once you get there it's easy. The property looks a bit worn on the outside but my room was newly refurbished, neat, and clean. In room coffee was loaded up and though the room was small there was a table, two chairs, and a chest of drawers. There was even a small place for hanging clothes. There were plenty of lights, which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. Also, if you are inclined, the pool looked really nice as well. One small problem...the room smelled of sulphur at first but once I got the air on and rolling it was fine. I needed management help to figure it out (I had turned the heat on) but he didn't treat me like a dummy. Air conditioning was noisy at high volume but I was more concerned with the temperature, which was fine.
These folks are making a real effort with a property that might otherwise be marginal. I would have rated it higher but for the initial odor and a minor housekeeping issue (dust/cobwebs behind the door). I would stay here again. It's great for one night, traveling to/from, by yourself.
- ErnestS59 (6/5): Adequate but not fancy - I would rate this motel a below the average Rodeway Inn that I have stayed at. It is an old style U-shaped single story building with all rooms opening onto the parking lot. The advantage is that it is less than 10 steps from the car to the room. The rooms were obviously not built to be commodious or fancy, but are adequate and appear to have been recently remodeled (at least the furniture looks new). My room (131) had a rather musty smell when I first entered, but after running the AC for about 5 minutes, the smell either went away or I got used to it. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Both seemed to be relatively well maintained. The bed was comfortable with a good selection of pillows.
The breakfast bar in the lobby was very disappointing. The coffee was gone, there were two selections of cold cereal, gut no bowl and no milk. No rolls or donuts. A complete bust. I went to an IHOP in a nearby shopping center which was crowded, but good.
The place is not very easy to find and get into. The check-in procedure was like 40 years ago where I had to fill out a paper card with my name, address, phone, and car information even though I gave all this information when I made the reservation on-line. The desk clerk is behind bullet proof glass, which didn’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling for the safety of the place. If I were to come this way again, I would probably stay at the place across the street which has a much better appearance.
- Daniel (6/5): average no frills - Just OK, nothing special
- karen (6/5): close to out town errands ...clean. - It was 39 degrees and took awhile to get room warm heater was weak..I booked room with 2 beds for 2 adults upon arrival made me pay another 8.50 plus tax when I ask for 2 keys for there was 2 adults they stated they didn't know and charged me 850 plus tax more than quoted. When ask lady she stated I don't know I'm just filling in but I was told to.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Flea motel - I needed a quick/cheap place to stay when I was locked out of my house one night. I made the reservation online about 1am. I showed up about 1:30am and had to wake the lady at the desk up. She was able to handle my check in without issue, just a bit sleepy (as to be expected). I made it to the room and it was small and a bit worn but had a bed and was clean. I turned on the TV and began eating my sandwich when I felt something on me and discovered a jumpy little creature, turned out to be a flea in the bed. Great! I was able to kill that little sucker and didn't feel them on me in the bed anymore but I didn't finish my sandwich and pulled the covers tight around me. Later when I got up to use the rest room, lo and behold there was another one. I didn't have the time or disposition to complain or find another room. When I woke and left in the morning I certainly felt like I needed to wash the little buggers off before going home but didn't think it would be productive in the room. As I was leaving I saw a dish of food outside, apparently for some animals.
I wouldn't stay there again or suggest it to a friend. On the positive side, at least the owners are animal lovers but the place needs to be bombed and the animals need to be given flea prevention medicines. Not that I saw or heard any animals!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to stay - Very clean great place to stay real close to nashville convince very nice. Good town to stay on
- teresa (10/5): Nice hotel - Everything was fine stay there all the time. I have told my friends about the hotel when they drop in Nashville .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Easy off/on expressway location - Near mall for shopping and lots of restaurant choices
- Sue (4/5): What you pay for - The hotel was exactly what you paid for. The room was small, could barely walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. It smelled like smoke as it was the only type of room left. Old and run down
- Verified traveler (10/5): Up started - They nice and
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old but good - Very modern rooms clean smelled great the blowdryer didnt work when i cslled them had it fixed less than half hour.
- brittany (2/5): Cheap but come on! - We booked on expedia! One king size bed! When we got to the hotel they changed the rate & the room! Once in the room, I pulled the comforters off the bed and the sheets and blankets had food crumbs and some sort of sauce on them. Obviously not clean! There was mold in the bathtub and the place smelled horrible! A cheap hotel is fine, but this was horrible!
- kazoo (4/5): The do take American Express - Even though Expedia listed only Master Card and Visa, when I arrived, they did take American Express. By the time I saw that it was too late. Their $82 price did not say anywhere that there as an 18% hotel tax, plus a $2.50 fee that goes to the town of Goddlettesville. The 2 night stay cost over $102.00. Very, very small room, that was smaller than a Microhotel. The shower head had a leak that sprayed all over the bathroom. The manager was not there for checkout, even though I waited. In other words, there was no Expedia rate as it would have cost the same online or direct.
- Verified traveler (6/5): One night stay - Quite and convenient, you get what you pay for here. Only issue was the light in the bathroom didn't work.
- Kristie (10/5): Clean & Smells Good - the location was veryconvenient, the room was very clean and included lots of extras
