- Robert (8/5): - The room was great, ac worked good, bed was comfortable however, one more pillow would have been great. I must admit though, I never asked for one. The folks at the front desk were a bit short with me when I asked for a receipt. Was told, I had to get it on line.

- alan (10/5): Best Motel 6 - Some Motel 6s are less than desirable and I usually only stay at one because pets stay free.However, this one in Childress is likely the best Motel 6 I have stayed at. Very clean with nice side room with refrigerator table and sink Highly recommend.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Beds & bathroom - It was an average room. No shampoo was provided and since it was an impromptu stay we didn’t have any. Two small bars of soap were left there. No coffee maker in the room. No laundry bags of any kind. There was a bucket underneath the bathroom sink. The tile grout was falling which made the tiles creek.

- carolyn (2/5): Cost too much for a terrible, hot room. - The a/c was off on a hot summer evening. Took several hours to cool the room enough to sleep. The key card barely worked after several attempts, every time I used it. The room smelled terrible and the surface areas were dirty, not wiped clean. The whole place was falling apart and needs to be torn down.

- HarleyAnn (4/5): My stay - Honestly it's a very beautiful room they offer! It's pretty expensive though! That's 84 per night. I think customer server wasn't so good when I booked to stay for a good extra nights. Coffee in the lobby is so absolutely gross.

- Leonard (1/5): Bad - That were able to book the room e route to our new home in Texas. The fact that the motel has a more restrictive pet policy than advertised. Only 2 pets per room we learned at checkin. Moved on to more pet friendly Super 8. We are moving with 3 dogs and two cats.

- Tina (2/5): Not our hair. - The check in was fine. It was when we went to go to the room the issues started. There was a drug deal going on in the parking lot in front of the motel door. The room had a musty smell we could not get rid of. Was going to stay for a few hours to get some rest, up on getting into the bed we noticed the bed cover was dirty and had cigarette burn holes. The worst part was the hair in the bed that was not ours. We stayed for about an hour. After we found hair in the shower and the bed, we packed up and left. In the bathroom ceiling there must have been some kind of leak or something. There was paper stuffed in the hole. Wish i could have my money back. Wish i would not have wasted my money.

Closing the door from the outside was not secure and could be pushed open. Could not leave anything in the room. AC buttons were all missing.

Everything was dirty, the air conditioner did not work at all, was very noisy, and I was put in a smoking room, even though my profile says non-smoking. The hotel said there was nothing they could do to move the room to a non-smoking room when requested. One of the worst days of my life.

Our check-in time was 3 pm they started cleaning our room when we arrived and and we were able to get in our room at 5:40

- Landon (4/5): Disappointing - The room was nice, clean. I asked a lady at the front desk for extra blankets, I have a medical thing and get cold very easily. She was kinda rude, said she would look in the back then call my room if she found any but it was very clear by the tone of her voice and smirk on her face that she was absolutely not going to do any of that. She walked away and closed the door as she was talking to me and was laughing behind the door.

Childress is kinda a one horse town, but the Thai joint out front looked OK. The BBQ joint bout a mile down the road was terrific! Any more ?'s, lol :)
- Anita (2/5): Do not recommend. - Friendly receptionist. VERY dirty, dog hair all over the room and on furniture, dirty sheets. Bad and “lumpy” pillows. Very small beds. Very loud noise from neighbors and the road. Do not recommend.

- Alison (9/5): One if the better Motel 6s we have stayed in. Our pick wnen in Childress - Clean, Direct TV, good coffee, nice staff, micro/fridge, PETS FREE is one of the major draws although I did not have my dog on this trip. Sink slow to drain.
