- Verified traveler (6/5): Stay - Picked this hotel for the pool. States its heated but the room was freezing. The water was freezing and you could see dirt settled on the floor and stairs of the pool. Room outlets had several, including the bathroom's, which did not work. Room doors kept slamming.
- Kristen (8/5): Cowboys Homecoming - Only complaint is that we didnt know the pool heater was out and the pool for our son was part of the reason we picked this hotel. But other than that it was a good room and nice hotel.
- Joseph (4/5): you get what you pay for - Let me start with the positives: the place was very clean and the front desk clerks were polite and responsive. Now for the not-so-good: there was no hot water in the evening; after a day of hiking, I really needed a shower, and my only choice was a cold shower, so cold that my whole body was shivering uncontrollably by the end; by the next morning the hot water was working. The bedroom was chilly, even though I had the heat turned up all the way, so I had to sleep with a shirt on to stay warm enough. The bathroom light was about as bright as a 15 watt incandescent bulb. The breakfast was extra simple: bread, microwave oatmeal packets, generic cereal, do-it-yourself waffles, milk, OJ, and coffee. Being by an interstate, truck stop, campground, and mobile home park, it was a bit noisy in the evening, including some neighbor who shot off fireworks (in October) between 11:00pm and midnight; afterward it was quiet enough. If you're trying to find a cheap, clean, and simple place, you might be satisfied with this hotel; otherwise, it's probably worth paying a little more for a better place.

- Joe (6/5): This place is a dorm - Passing through on a road trip. This hotel is a dorm for the local college. If you don’t mind drunk people trying to get into your room at 3am or the place smelling like marijuana, then it isn’t bad for the price.
- Carol (4/5): Not the best Exono Lodge - The room was clean, but smelled like pine sol. The room had a laminate wood floor and they may use pine sol to clean it. The pillows were flat as a pancake. The continental breakfast was uninviting consisting of packets of oatmeal, bread for toast and dry cereal. Asked for a hair conditioner and was told they only had shampoo. Would not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The stay was overall ok, the continental breakfast was terrible. I don’t even call that breakfast, the only options you got are self made waffles/ pancakes. Toast, OJ, Milk, coffee and oatmeal. Very disappointed, I’ve had better continental breakfast at cheaper hotels.
- Nicole (6/5): Not worth the momey - We had to change rooms, as our first room was filthy. The floor was so sticky and gross. The walls and light switches were nasty. The breakfast was a joke. The laundry room was a mess, the detergent machine took our money with out giving us product.
- Susan (2/5): Worts stay I've ever had at any hotel. - it took some one forever just to check in. The TV didn't work the first night. the door banging all night made it very hard to sleep. they never cleaned the room. I had to go to the front test just to get clean towels and wash clothes.. The Wi-fi was very slow.

- Kevin (4/5): Would not stay again - Stopped late (10pm) because I80 was closed due to a late spring snowstorm. Picked it because we just needed a quick rest and were leaving as soon as we could in the morning. Room was inexpensive, but even at around $65 the building could have been cleaner - or even updated in the last 15 years (seriously)! Worst part of the stay - extremely rude man at front desk in the morning who chastised me for asking if we could check out at 1pm instead of 11am (since we did not know when the Interstate would open again and did not want to have to check in for a second night). If you're going to Laramie, check out the Fairfield Inn down the road. A bit more expensive but worth it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stupid front desk people - Booked a room for two nights. Accidently hit the non refundable room rate. No problem. Plans got changed, couldn't get there til Saturday. Called Thursday and told front desk "please Do Not give our room away" guy says no problem, I'll make a note. Husband went to check in Saturday. No reservation. Made him pay for another room. I called the front desk, gal gives me the run around saying husband didn't tell her it was for a room that was already checked into Friday. I told her it wasn't checked into yet. She said there's no reservation for Saturday only. And hung up on me twice. And charged us for two rooms ! She gave them the room key to just one room and wouldn't refund the second room back! NEVER WILL I STAY AT THAT HOTLE AGAIN!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was told I could not have a receipt as I booked online how convenient for me the customer. Apparently the oconalufty in is do it all yourself bring your own hot water heater your own fire to make a fire pit between the beds your own coffee and snacks, As there was No coffee in the lobby, Not even an option to make your own in your Room, the Room was called the entire night, Apparently I wasn't the only one as another guest was complaining before I ever checked in. The shower took about 20 minutes to get warm. Not even a piece of fruit exedra to grab on my way out being that my time zone is 2 hours different I would have had to have waited an extra 4 and a 1/2 hours for a cheap breakfast That best. I will not be back and would sleep in my truck before booking with the econo lodge again.
- Alan (4/5): Think before you stay here. - The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size and looked nice. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and the wifi and tv worked fine. But the water wouldn't get hot for a shower unless you messed with the handle for awhile and put it in a weird position. The heater wouldn't work right. You either were way too hot or had to turn it off until it cooled down in the room. the hotel was nonsmoking on the ground floor but all the halls, breakfast room and entry were reeking of smoke. We found an outlet with exposed wires in our room. Breakfast was minimal with cold cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, or a waffle. No sugar, no fruit.

Clean but dated. front desk staff friendly and good customer service. When we arrived there was a hot dog bun and dirty sheets on stairway, that were still there when we returned from dinner friday night 8/31/18. Beds were very comfortable.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Should be called Econo Hole - No reply to email request for a roll away bed only double talk when we got there.No working key cards, we had to be let into the room. We were then to get a small couch and two double beds. The couch ended up being a padded living room chair, not a couch, not a fold out. A member of our party had to sleep in our van. Mattresses were worn and could give a trampoline a run for it's money. No coffee machines in the room. All this for $140. I think our colleague had the better night sleep in the van.

- Sam (6/5): Convenient - I booked this for a family member to stay and did it through Travelocity. I prepaid for the room & was told the hotel would not need anything else. When the person checked in, the hotel asked for a credit card to put on file for incidental purposes. Well we prepaid & all that info should have been with the card that I originally used. I am dissatisfied and disappointed at how it was handled at the hotel after Travelocity told me they would not require a cc on file.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad to Worse - Our experience went from bad to worse. The short of it: -Ants everywhere in the room (Management offered $10 for the inconvenience) -Room was filthy (e.g. not vacuumed, urine stains on/around toilet) -Door was broken so key did not work properly -Reserved non-smoking room on Hotels.com, but given smoking room, which was a deal breaker. Econo Lodge blamed Hotels.com for the mix-up. Hotels.com paid the upcharge for a non-smoking room. (Thanks, but this is how our experience started out and then we spent 30 minutes trying to get it resolved before even getting to the filthy room.) -It was Cheyenne Days (unbeknownst to us) so most hotels were booked solid; otherwise, there's no way we would have stayed here at Econo Lodge. Since it was late and we were tired, we stayed. -Because of Cheyenne Days we paid 2-3 times more than usual for our room -- a ridiculous $180 for one night. The "Ok"...breakfast was waffles, cereal, toast, milk, juice. The Good...the bed was nice and firm and we got the best sleep of our trip...once we overcame being grossed out by the room.
- Charlene (2/5): - The hotel was a the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. They NEVER vacuumed . We were on the bottom floor and the window did not lock. Asked the front desk and their response was what do you want me to to do about it. Next day they put a broom stick in the window. The bathroom was dirty, toilet has calking that was coming off. One of the days they did NOT EVEN make the beds, they threw the covers over the sheets and never removed the sheets. I complained and again the clerk said well they will make the bed tomorrow. What else do you want me to do? I met my cousin at the hotel, I made the reservations together. They separated our rooms, and said they could not put us in rooms that were close. He was on the 2nd floor we were on the 1st.on the other side of the hotel. "Breakfast" was a joke. Out of coffee, pk oatmeal and bread, some pancake batter. THATS the HOT breakfast offered. 7 booths to sit, 4 per booths. NOT NEARLY enough for all the clients there. Rooms smelled of mildew, they never gave us clean sheets or blankets. OH and the overcharged an extra day, and put both room charges on my credit card. My cousin was paying for his room on his card. I want EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT A DISASTER THIS HOTEL WAS! Don't stay here. Camping would be better. 1st time here will NEVER go back.

Very disappointing since we booked several weeks in advance. We were not able to sleep due to the smell. There was also a mystery stain running down the wall that was rather disgusting.

- Merideth (6/5): A cheap option in Laramie - This is a budget hotel and you can tell it. However, it was clean and okay. Breakfast was very lacking with only cereal, juice, milk, and breakfast rolls. However the price couldn't be beat. Would I stay here again? Definitely.
- A. John (4/5): Acceptable and dangerous. - Not so good. Leftover pizza boxes on the shelf from previous guests. Broken air conditioner/heater directional grate. The smoke alarm had been removed for some reason or other and had not been replaced creating extreme unsafe conditions. A total or partial refund is indicated as I see it, but only if Econo Lodge wants to keep me as a customer.
- Joanne (4/5): Dirty, dirty, dirty.... - The room was dirty. Moved to a second room...dirty. Bathroom not clean, hair on floor, toilet, counters. Carpets not clean. I undestand a motel being older and dated, but not having good housekeeping is unacceptable. Even the in room coffee maker didnt have disposable cups...just old mismatched coffee cups that might have not been washed. I mean really? Do not trust the pictures. The linens were lipstick on a pig in this place. I would not stay here ever again. And if this is what Econolodge wants their reputation to be... they will lose business. Spend the extra money and book somewhere else. I will say the font desk were very nice though.

- Paul (10/5): - we really enjoy staying at the Econo Lodge in Laramie. The staff is very friendly, the rates are reasonable, and it's convenient to I-80. It has a good pool that is opened until 10:00pm so we can swim even if we come in a bit late.. And the breakfast is nice, so we don't have to stop again to eat!

- Larry (4/5): The worst customer service ever!!!!!! - I will start with the good cause it will be quick. The housekeeper was great. He was willing to help and very polite. The lady at front desk was horrible. Extremely rude and inconsiderate. We went to front desk for help, rang bell, and waited. Finally went outside to find her smoking outside. Tried to tell her about a nail sticking out of bed that cut my wifes leg, She informed us she was on her 5 minute break. We were leaving and just wanted someone to fix. She just sat there and again informed us she was on break and never offered a solution for the nail. Hopefully the rest of the staff are not this way. Horrible customer service. Basically no customer service, I had to go find tools to fix bed as it never got addressed. Will never stay here again and would encourage all to avoid this place at all cost. Pool was empty and closed. I know things happen and need repaired but should have this included on details so we know before booking. We have called to speak to manager. At time of review no follow up has been made.

- Josiek (6/5): decent, basic hotel - nothing fancy - truthfully the room was very affordable & the hotel was not really that bad. we were in town for the UW football game so other hotel rates were ridiculously high so we tried the Econolodge. the heat in the room worked great, the beds were decent (nothing special), very low to the floor though (??)room was clean and basic, staff was very nice - the only really bad thing was the breakfast choices, really not very good - overall, it was a decent room for the short time we were actually in it

Pool was cold had to ask to get the heat turned on. Laundry facilities are small. However, the washer and dryer are only $1.25.

- L.eg (8/5): Convenient for overnight stay - Located on the west side of town, just off I-80. It is not within walking distance of either the campus or the downtown business district. It is next door to a Wendy's. It did have a continental breakfast, free. Didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked nice. It was reasonably clean but some of the fixtures were worn. Microwave, min-fridge, hairdryer and iron in room. Amenities consisted of soap and shampoo. Never heard any other guests. The mattresses were not plush. The light from the parking lot was so bright that, even with the curtains drawn, one could still read with all of the inside lights turned off. When I called to let them know we would be late and not to give away our room, I found out that we had been booked into a smoking room by mistake. The desk clerk did switch us to a non-smoking room which, as it turns out, contained 3 queen beds, one being in a little room around the corner from the main room. So, if you were a family traveling with six people, that room layout could work nicely and give those sleeping in the alcove a bit of privacy. I did not see any elevators used the interior steps up and down to 2nd floor. The vending machine supply was pretty stark. The fire doors at the bottom and top of stairs were propped open. When we returned to the room after dinner on a Saturday night when the school semester was in, the sign on the door said No Vacancies. If you are planning a stop in Laramie, book ahead, as a minimal supply of rooms goes quickly. Stayed in better stayed in worse. Reasonable for the price.
- Howard (6/5): Poorly taken care of. - Staff was great. Hotel doors slam hard and hotel does not have a first aid kit. I had to use tissue and tape for an injury from the doors that slammed due to the closer not being set properly.
- MARK O. (8/5): Game Day - The hotel has really improved in a lot of ways since the last time we stayed there. The room we stayed in had been updated and was very clean and comfortable. I stay in a lot of motels and unfortunately the free breakfast was probably the worst one I have ever experienced. Not very good selection, cheap, watered down orange juice to the point it was more water than juice, just not a good experience. Overall for the price though we would stay here again, just make other plans for breakfast.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Consider staying somewhere else - All the outside door locks were not operational and subsequently I found a homeless man sleeping at the top of the stairs early in the morning. The continental breakfast was a joke, all high carb products. No fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, or even bagels. Just sweet cereal, waffles, toast, cheap instant oatmeal, and nasty pastries. Pool and rooms could have used a good cleaning.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wouldn't return here - The tv didn't work in our room. The window didn't lock either. The pool opened at 10am but checkout was at 11, so there wasn't time to use the pool in the morning.
- DeAnn H. (6/5): weekend getaway - reservation was for a King bed we received 2 queens which was really not a big problem. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was disappointing, choices were very limited. We were traveling on the motorcycle so packed lightly and planned on using the hairdryer and of course it did not work. Frig and microwave were handy in the room and did work fine. We did not use the internet but that was not a choice on review so had to pick one. P.M. staff was very polite, A.M staff was sort of rude and just kept saying since we booked with a third party we would not have a receipt or anything, we just wanted to check out. We just left the key and departed. Overall it is an average place to stay.
