Guest Reviews
- Richard r (1/5): Never will stay there again - Bad people and drug activity
- griffin (1/5): TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE - Actually nothing. But once I checked in..I became very ill. Physically couldnt take trying to pack all my things & leave. Got a tetanus shot just to be on the safe side once I could leave. Again became very ill. For four hours listened to people above us stomp around like baby rhinos until 3am. I went to them personally & asked to be some what light footed.. didnt even mind the blaring music. That didnt work so after ringing the front desk bell for 15+minutes, a very sleepy employee, asked with an attitude what I needed. I explained the people upstairs were gonna stomp a.hole through ceiling, I tried to handle situation but didnt help. I just wanted a refund & would be on my way. She refused & said she would make them stop, an hour later.. still the same.. I finally flipped my shit. Another employee in pj's said I was being disrespectful & walked away from me. After showing my ass again.. please keep in mind I have never complained about service anywhere!! Im the customer that helps calm other customers...I guess the look on face said it all bc very grudgingly they refunded most of my money & I slept in my car at Cookouts til.morning.
- Aubree (2/5): You get what you pay for. - I liked the location of this motel. The price was affordable. The king sized bed was nice. The room was very dirty and you can tell the rooms need some TLC. The lamp next to the bed didn't have an outlet close by so couldn't use it. Bedside table smelled like urine. The water pressure was also very poor.
- Kayla (6/5): It was cheaper than the surrounding hotels/motels but don't necessarily think it was worth 78.00. - I liked it didn't have to go outside to smoke. Rooms that allow that are few and far between. To me it looked like by it being a smoking room the care an time taken to make it presentable was lacking. It could've been cleaner. There was mold on the ceiling and holes in the walls and doors. A rather large bug was killed shortly after getting settled in.
- James (1/5): Never again -
- robert (6/5): It was ok - Good location HVAC did not work
- Tammy (7/5): - It was very affordable. And the location was wonderful. I will stay again.
- Tammy (8/5): -
- Maria (8/5): -
- Jonathan (1/5): Nasty, dirty , horrible ghetto accommodations - Nothing Everything- it’s a dump.
- Jonathan (8/5): Good stay - Friendly staff
- Jonathan (8/5): Good stay - Friendly staff
- Jonathan (8/5): Good stay - Friendly staff
- Robert (3/5): Terrible and highpriced - Nothing this place looks like a Crackhead hotel . Everything. This place is a Sh!thole.
- Kimberly (7/5): -
- Smith (4/5): - Location, comfortable bed No office, had to lug stuff upstairs, no breakfast
- Denise (6/5): -
- jlvg (4/5): - Pas grand chose La manager ''barricadée'' dans sa guérite, derrière sa fenêtre. Une sonnette pour l'appeler.
Salle de bains délabrée.
- Keith (8/5): Roadside budget motel - The deposit policy keeps this place affordable for travelers working and playing Not the closest to downtown but walkable especiall one way bus lines right there basically so no problem really
- Keith (8/5): Roadside motel with friendly staff - It’s a low cost motel one shouldn’t have a lot of expectations at these rates. Staff is always friendly and straightforward It’s not the newest spot in town.
- rosmeri (10/5): - Acomodação grande, ótima localização.
- Diana (8/5): great location and value - VALUE FOR LOCATION: Great value rates for the Asheville Biltmore area during fall leaf tourist season. na
- Amber (1/5): Treachery - The location was the only positive part of the stay. I was in town to attend the homecoming game at Mars Hill University to watch my nephew play. Where to begin
The AC unit had a dead roach inside right next to the control panel. So either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
Rooms were non-smoking but the bed sheets had clear burn marks. Why not just dispose of those sheets in general b/c anything less just comes off as the sheets must not have been washed. So either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
Hair all along the floor borders in clear sight. So either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
BLOOD stains in the shower in clear eyesight. The staff member came with Fabuloso to clean up the blood. So either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
The same goes for the shower long strands of hair in clear sight so either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
Get rid of the shower curtains and the duvets, because we can tell they are not being washed.
The vending machine didn't take bills but had no option for a card, and no change machine to get coins. I would recommend at least adding water to the list of beverages that you provide so either the facility didn't care or found it acceptable, either way it was inexcusable.
- Terry King (10/5): - They're always nice there very pleasant
- Launna (5/5): Place was decent, affordable and very close to where we wanted to go. I would stay there again - Location. Rooms are old, and coffee maker made coffee with a bad taste.
- Benjamin (2/5): - Booked a non smoking room, and received a smoking room, manager acted like there was no way to tell what kind of room that I booked.
- Brandon (2/5): - disgusting
- Joshua (7/5): - The staff was awesome
- Zandré (2/5): - It is really dirty and gross. I ignored the bad reviews because I just needed place for one night but I would rather sleep in the car. We went to buy disinfecting spray just to feel somewhat better
Don’t book, pay $10 more for a better place
- Leidy (7/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): - Location worked good! Homeless Hotel across the street was only drawback!
- Mack (6/5): -
- Trainor (9/5): -
- Leisha (7/5): Quick get away - Good location - adequate accommodation for the price Not a lot of parking
- Katherine (2/5): - This was the absolute grossest motel I've had the unpleasant and misfortune of staying at.
- Terry King (10/5): - They're always so nice to me when I stay there the only thing is they need to put a new toilet paper roll in hahaha that's it
- Terry King (10/5): - I surprised that I always say that I like
- TAKYIAH (2/5): Never Again!! - The room was horribly disgusting and not even 2 minutes of checking the room prior to bringing bags in, I checked out and requested for a refund. The bathroom had stains, the room smelled and the property was not a safe place for a family. Just one thing to say, the pictures are deceiving and you cant make this up. Never again! I wouldve given 0 stars if i could.
- Madison (10/5): - You get what you pay for- good location and good place especially for traveling on a budget
- Terry (10/5): - The lady at the office is always so so very nice and I enjoy staying there it's close to where I'm going to
- Brenton (2/5): - dirty room. holes in 3 walls, 2 holes in bathroom door. 1 on each side. no smoke detector. AC was filthy and stained. Showerhead leaked all over the place. both lamp shades were broken and stained. floor was dirty enough that bottom of my feet turned black with dirt. tv and broken spots in it and only got a few channels, while rest wouldnt load in. hair dryer didnt work. Room 233 is a dump.
- Marilyn (9/5): Clean and comfortable room close to downtown Asheville! - Clean and comfortable room. We had the most comfortable pillows in two weeks of traveling so we had our best restful night.
- Terry (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean perfect location for me
- John (4/5): Went on the cheap ($90/night) this time and regretted it, big time. - The location is super! My room had an overpowering air freshener stench. My room was filthy. There were holes (some were patched, poorly) in the doors and walls. The toilet paper holder slumped to the floor the second time I used it. Of the 4 times I called the front desk someone answered once. The so-fi password didn’t work.
A group of homeless people hang out at the back of the property 40 feet from my room.
Not sure if this is normal, but the lady photocopied both sides of my credit card…
- Madison (8/5): Very good -
- Brier (7/5): Good -
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Ron (1/5): Stay away from here - The price and convenience to my destination. The room was horrible and disgusting.
- Bruce (2/5): - This place was a dump. Our room was gross, our toilet wasn't working (which I fixed), the advertised free breakfast never happened, and the area was crawling with street people.
- Michael (10/5): - Friendly staff
- xiaolei (4/5): - NO WIFI
- Kandsay (1/5): Music Fest - The outside smoking area The smell from trash cans outside my door and by steps. The homeless people coming to my window while I was leaving. Appliances that didn't work.
- Tayna (4/5): Will never book there again - The toilet was stop up had to plunge myself did not offer another room camera doses not work someone tried to break into my car broke door handle and top sheet had stains didn’t get my deposit back
- Joan (1/5): DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, NO BREAKFAST, NO AC, ROOMS STINK, OVERCHARGED - location, not too far from the airport. I was picking up my granddaughter who was visiting from Florida I HAD ASKED WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST SERVED AND THEY SAID NONE. I SAID ITS ADVERTISED THAT BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED, AND THERE WAS NOTHING, NOT EVEN COFFEE FOR THE ROOM! REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, ROOM SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTES, BUT THEY DID CHANGE MY ROOM.. AND THEN THE A/C CUT OFF AROUND 3 AM AND DID NOT COME BACK ON.. ONLY FAN STARTED TO WORK AROUND 730 AM, NO AC, ALSO UNDER RENOVATION SO THEY SAID, AND THEY CHARGED MY CARD 2X! AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 10 DAYS TO GET THAT RESOLVED! I WANT A REFUND BUT THE MANAGER OF HOTEL TOLD BOOKING.COM NO! WTF, SO IM CALLING MY BANK ON MONDAY!
- Debra (6/5): - It was a bed to sleep in as we were just passing through but I probably wouldn’t stay there again. The area seemed shady and seemed like some drug activity likely. 😟
- Gloria (1/5): UNHAPPY CAMPER - Location was perfect for Our visit Closer to Family and Events Bathroom had water running behind stool after the flush door to bathroom was broken at the bottom We expected the sheets to be changed ... but was told We have to request it during booking with all Choice Hotels
The lighting was poorly had to get a light bulb I had to ask for Clean towels and had to ask if the trash could be Emptied
- V8801GXstevenm (8/5): Not a Bad Stay - Standard motel fare, I arrived late and was kindly greeted by the gentleman at the counter. Rooms are a bit dated but that's normal for places like this. Nothing out of the ordinary. I would probably stay here again if I return to Asheville again.
- Suzan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Finley (3/5): Poor -
- Vern (4/5): - The staff was rude and very expensive
- Derek (7/5): Good -
- Mathiowetz (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Philippe (8/5): Very good -
- Wolfe (10/5): I’d go back - I don’t see why this place has a low rating the beds were comfy the rooms were well maintained all the amenities worked. The front staff guy was super friendly and informative. It’s what you’d hope for at that price point. Wish there was a closer grocery store, the shell station had some of the highest prices I’ve ever seen in a gas station for snacks.
- Shane (10/5): Good and affordable! - I was a little unsure about this place at first but when I got there it was fine. The room was clean and didn’t smell. It was affordable. It’s a simple room close to town. I would stay again.
- Leonid (1/5): Bad - Nothing Breakfast should have been included in the price, but there was no breakfast. Wi-Fi is very weak, I couldn't even log into my email. The cost of living should be $201.14 including tax, but I was billed $260
- Matt (4/5): Disappointing -
- Monroe (3/5): Poor -
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Walter (1/5): Bad - Horrible the loud kids . Broken vending machine.
- H1310GLchristinet (2/5): Turning away reservations! - The hotel refused my BOOKED reservation with "choice points" and the manager would not EVEN OPEN THE DOOR for me when it was 20 degrees out - making me stand n the cold and speak to him through a window like a criminal. stay away! I was driving on business with my son and we were exhausted and it was freezing out. This was a booked reservation. Place looked scary too - with transients as tenants. Been a choice privileges member for over a decade - HOW IS THIS PLACE UNDER YOUR FLAG????
- Kerry (10/5): Happy guest - This was a great stay. We were very happy with the service, the room was clean, looks to be recently remodeled. I would definitely return here again.
- 904josiahh (10/5): Great! - My name is Josiah. And I just wanted to say that this whole experience has been wonderful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Great job! Will definitely suggest staying at econo lodge in the future. Very affordable and nice
- Ketura79 (1/5): Was a nightmare staying at this hotel. - Well the room rates were cheap and it's in a good location very convenient. Well I started get bite by something the first night we stayed there. I was getting tore up by something then we found that it was bed bugs. The next day so the bug exterminator there but they went into the room beside us. It was the worst experience I ever had and of course really nothing we could do had already paid for room I doubt they would have given me a refund so we was kinda stuck. But will never go back and I don't recommend anyone else does either. I should have listened to the reviews and so should everyone else. They do not offer breakfast either. It says they do but they don't. It was snowing the day we checked in and I had to stand out in the cold to check in they kept their lobby closed. So please do not make the same mistake we did!
- Kerry (10/5): Clean, cozy rooms - The staff was great, the room was clean and cozy. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely use them again when we return to Asheville in a couple of months.
- Bozik (8/5): Very good - Excellent value. Clean. Good condition. Smell of cleaners in the room. Strong odor.
- Jennifer (3/5): Management was rude, room smell like weed. Floors were cold. - Absolutely nothing Everything
- Anonymous (3/5): It’s decent for a one or two night stay. In the midst of an upgrade, so many things were not working or available. If yo - Great location to many attractions. Lobby was closed; no breakfast. AC was broken, room was hot. Internet did not work.
- Greidys (5/5): I don’t like it - Nothing It wasn’t very clean.
- Ester (1/5): Just don't do it. - Nothing 1st room dead bolt unlocked from the outside w/key card.
2nd room keycaards didn't work at all. Phones didn't work in either room. No smoke alarms in either room. Toilet didn't flush right. Shower was scalding or freezing. Changing iTemps on its own. Floors were dirty. Furniture stained. We never slept for fear of being broke in on. Desk refused to refund so we could go elsewhere.
- Theodore (10/5): - Close to Hwy 240 and Hwy 40.
Large shopping centre close by.
Minutes from downtown Asheville by car.
- Nathan (3/5): Ok but could have been better if the house keepers would do their job - The staff at the front are great the house keepers on the other had don't clean very well and also just opened the door on us in morning time didn't even knock or anything to see if we was staying or leaving I found that very rude the room used to be clean here but now no I gotta clean my own room everytime I come now The staff at the front are great the house keepers on the other had don't clean very well and also just opened the door on us in morning time didn't even knock or anything to see if we was staying or leaving I found that very rude the room used to be clean here but now no I gotta clean my own room everytime I come now
- steven (10/5): - Shabby bathroom but clean
- Nathan (2/5): It was ok for most part - Front desk check in and I'm just comfortable doing n that spot and wit the people I guess towels are nice and clean and the pictures are from when the white couple was cleaning now from recent stay The floors was dirty gotta clean my room everything before I can actually be ok inside the room not sure where the white couple went that was cleaning while back seems as if the rooms was way cleaner
- Kristi (8/5): Very good - The location is good. It was a quiet area as well. The heat and air worked well in the room. The room was kind of small but some renovations have been done to the hotel . Small room. Only had 2 towels in the room. When we asked for 2 more they said they didn't have any.
- Johnson (9/5): Superb -
- Frannie (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (8/5): - Very clean, but breakfast area was closed for remodel and no notification was made. Couldn’t access the Wi-Fi, although the code was provided. Tight parking lot. Staff was very polite and efficient. Convenient location.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Marie-Blanche (2/5): - Missing light bulbs, old bloodstains on the bed linen, dirty lampshades, manager’s office locked up and having to communicate through a window. TV channels not working. I will never visit Econo Lodge ever again and won’t recommend to anyone.
- Heather (6/5): Pleasant -
- Regan (5/5): Passable -
- Mariangela (2/5): Very poor - Wifi didn't work and it was sold as "breakfast included". But all we got was a coffee maker in the room with 2 coffee included (we were 5)
